Cons More than once the system has not allowed users to clock in their time and it has to be manually input by management. Also the time tracking cannot be customized to your payout schedule. Cons It doesn't accurately count your hours. It assumes you are not working when you are in Zoom calls with your boss, because it counts your activity based on keyboard clicks, and nothing else. I can't tell you how many times it told me I was idle and stopped my clock during important meetings with my manager. This software is garbage. You're correct - activity levels in Hubstaff are calculated based on the percentage of keyboard and mouse strokes over the total time tracked for a specific time period. I also found the reporting features to be very helpful. I was able to easily track my team's progress and see where we could improve. Managers are able to see what their activity and performance looks like giving them better insight into what is working well. The payroll automation has been one of the biggest benefits as we were running payrolls manually through Wise. The integration has saved us hours on payroll and gives managers better insight into how much their employees are working. Pros The automation with Wise to process payments to employees. The screen capture has been very helpful for us when we have run into issues with security or performance. Cons I wish it was easier to set up the PayPal integration. We have tried to set it up about 5 separate times, all unsuccessfully. I wish it had a little bit better employee management system, similar to what you would find in a HRIS. Cons There are a lot of features that we dont use, it would be really useful if it were possible to automatically schedule send us the hours worked by an employee at a time period we are able to define, so that we could easily access this information without having to generate the report. I am constantly stressed about what I am going to get paid, to the point that I am tracking my hours both in and out of hubstaff to make sure I can make rent. I think this is crazy. Pros I dont know. I log in and clock in. The integration with Zendesk is nice to the extent that I dont have to copy and paste ....... Thing is it takes less then 5 minutes for me to copy over a number so..... waiting for it to sync seems to outweigh the gains here. - I guess the reverse time entry into zendesk helps. .... that is about it. Cons How the timeclock works - 1) It does not update information from Zendesk for over 5 minutes. 2) I cannot see what is available to switch too without clocking out. 3) there is no way to do blanket time to cover admin gaps. 4) the clock itself does not display on the page in a way that is easy to use. -- if you resize the frame it just disappears.
