Pros: Coolfron is a good software, very easy to use, that allows us to manage and give access to the work orders of the clients in real time.
We can use Coolfron anywhere thanks to its mobile application, we can use it from a phone, tablet or computer.
What I like most about Coolfron is its good integration with other applications such as Dropbox, Google Calemdario, PartCart and more ...
you can find enough documentation of everything that this application does from its website.

Cons: I do not see anything negative about this software, it's really good and it develops very well in what it does but I think it should continue to grow and improve the FrontEnd part and develop into more languages

Pros: Allowing real-time access to customer work orders and not having to keep up with "paper"work. I like that it syncs with our computer software, which makes it easier to receive work orders for invoicing faster for billing purposes. This will allow the customer to receive their invoice faster and allow payments to be accepted on the job site. The ability to be able to do that stood out to me and my technicians, making our jobs easier and more productive.

Cons: An improvement needed was to be able to work offline - sending and receiving customer information. Having the need for wifi slows the process of receiving work orders & invoices to the billing department from the technicians while they are out in the field.

Comments: I've you coolfront for years. It's very reliable. I would like an integration with square.

Pros: Large database of parts and repairs. Works in areas without an internet connection. Pay as you go. Zero cost.

Cons: The app seems to pick the worst time to update. It doesn't have a way to initiate the update on your own.

Pros: It is super user friendly & easy to use. I love that it can be used on a computer, cell phone or tablet and there is no subscription. You only pay for what you use.

Cons: I wish it would show the price of repairs before you select it..... sometimes our techs aren't sure which repair to pick until they see what the charge will be & then they have to go in and delete it if its way out there.

Overall: Easy to use, and the work order immediately shows up on the techs device, eliminating the need for the tech to drive all the way back to our office to gets their next work order

Pros: The streamline pricing for our technicians is great. Realtime approval from the customer via signature. Quick transfer between technician to office staff.

Cons: The software is very time consuming for office staff. Having to click back and forth between work orders, home and add ons needs to be streamlined. The sales tax is very clunky between Quickbooks and CoolFront.

Overall: Quick repair pricing for our technicians.

Pros: I like that it syncs with Quickbooks and makes dispatching easy. Adding repairs is easy and all the technicians are using the same prices by using Coolfront.

Cons: It needs to have some kind of notification to the technician when a work order is added to their schedule. As it is, they have to remember to check for new work orders.

Overall: It has cut down on paperwork tremendously

Pros: Coolfront is amazing. It helps us have a better relationship with our customers. Its easy to use and straight to the point when it comes to giving our customers the price for repairs.

Cons: I don't think there is anything I don't like about this software. Its easy to use and really affordable.

Overall: easy on the go invoicing for our technicians.

I use this everyday, all day, and do like it. I just wish it did a bit more & had a few more things

Pros: I like that it syncs to Google Calendar & Quickbooks. I also enjoy the Parts Cart for resupplying the technicians. I enjoy easily being able to find repairs to bill them to the work order/invoice. I like being able to add custom repairs, discounts and pricing.

Cons: I don't like that the billed time/cost of part don't show on the internal view of the work order/invoice. I don't like that I can't run a report of average hours/dollars for each technician, since those values don't sync over into Quickbooks when the invoice does. I wish there was a way to "Pause" a work order so that the technician can return to it later due to possible part delay, weather delay or other circumstance. I wish we could customize the line item field for repairs other than creating a repeat custom repair for those time that it is an unusual circumstance or repair. I would like to be able to run some sort of report of what dollar/hour per work order/invoice we are tracking within the app itself.
These are just a few of the items I would like to see within the Coolfront App.

Overall: In-field invoicing & pricing. Ease of scheduling. Parts reorder simplified.

Pros: This software/program is so easy to use. You just search, click and it's done and on your service tickets! So simple!

Cons: It doesn't have a way to upload pictures nor documents. This is very important feature when your service workers are in the field.

Pros: The fact that you can search for different fixes in the field is very user friendly. Our techs love the product.

Pros: This is a great software that allows you to access the best hvac dealers in your area and to top it off its free

Cons: really no cons for this particular program because it comes with everything you need such as mobile access, as well as computer access.

Pros: The flat-rate for our tech's. They say it's very easy to use and the best program they have seen. Very impressed!

Cons: I wish there was dispatch board where we could see all the calls on the different tech's. We generate sometimes 50 calls in the summer so that would be nice to see.

Easy to input customer information and look up the repairs needed.

Pros: Ease of use on customer input. ease of use on setting up a custom repair on the fly, the ease the customer can submit authorization for repairs.

Cons: When looking up repairs the feature will not let it auto fill the repair, the feature for open work order can be confusing on how far back to check.

Pros: I enjoy that it allows technician to quote and bill at the location. Also that they can request the parts they used to be replenished. I like that the invoices sync with our accounting software (Quickbooks) for billing and our Google Calendar for scheduling. Each tech can see their scheduled day laid out in order with location & what the service to be performed is. Very simple to employ. Having each tech, office admin and manager being able to use an individual login takes much of the scheduling confusion from the service techs.

Cons: I don't like that there aren't any reports that can be run to find work orders outstanding that fall outside the parameters of: Last 30 days, This month, This week.
I don't like that the hours required for the selected repairs aren't shown on the "internal version" of the printed invoice/work order. That would be very helpful for payroll and flat rate billing.

Overall: Integration & simplification.

Pros: How easy it is to use for tech's on cell phones. They are able to look up prices and labor and get the job done faster because they don't haveto call the office.

Overall: We started using the software about a year ago and have had no problems with the software at all. It loads and is easy to use.

I was amazed at how easy the program was to use. I was up and running in less than 5 minutes.

Pros: How simple and easy it is along with being able to search by part number to find the correct repair quickly and accurately.

Cons: Cost. It may be "built in" but the volume of calls we do annually would have pushed the annual cost of the program every year. It also doesn't integrate with our new CRM software.

Overall: Simplicity and accuracy.

Pros: THAT IT SYNC'S WITH OTHER PROGRAMS in the office such as google calendars and quickbooks.making it easier for all employees (even those in the field to stay connected)
keeps record of customers and combines all services we provide and dates we provided them. allowing us to make notes that all employees can see and a special place for customers

Overall: helped with book keeping , organizing office documents and less time entering data it has connected all our employees

Pros: The fact that it can be remotely approved by customers is my favorite feature.
Of course it all looks good and very professional no matter what.
I like the customizable ability for both installs and repairs, but wish there were more and that once you select an item from the saved customized list or from the database list even, that there was an easy way to make a custom amendments in at least the description so you could have the ability to make slight adjustments in model numbers and or the description to fit unique job circumstances (and be able to keep up with ever changing model numbers and even AHRI match data)

Cons: There is no way to type in any kind of a direct dollar value discount at the end of the work order which would fit in with my finance options.
I would also like to be able to add a line for a tip to be added for the techs.
If there was a way to add pictures of the customers system or work in both the customer noted and the internal noted that would be phenominal. The ability to add a pdf attachment for special contract would also be nice.
I like to add standard statements that are often legally required to include in various jobs we do. It would be nice to have the ability to add a list of customized standard statements that need to be approved but don't have any money value attached to them. As it stands I put my customized statements in the install custom list and just added zero dollar amount with it. I also think that the standard statements added to a work order should not be counted toward the cost of the work order.

Overall: Simplified my daily efforts.

Coolfront is very easy to use and navigate.

Pros: I like each description is well scripted and detailed. I like that overhead cost, labor, and product price is all included in service charge. The software continuously updates service pricing and markups.

Overall: Because I am a Techincian and not a salesman, I do not worry about over pricing or underpricing customers with coolfront.

Pros: nice and easy to get used to flat rate system. It made it easier to give a customer a decent price quickly.

Cons: wasn't easy to integrate with quickbooks. Still never figured out if you can trasnfer the tax lines from QB to coolfront.

Pros: I use coolfront on a daily basis and without it there would be a lot of lost jobs. We can quote water heater replacements and some repairs directly from the office. Our technicians use ipads on the site to run the program and collect payment - it is simple for them and gets payment quickly.

Cons: The new search feature is worse than the previous search feature. However the Coolfront team is constantly making changes, updates, and actually listening to customers in making improvements.

Pros: It does all the figuring for me and there is no guessing on total cost of parts. Customer get get price before work is done and gets more customers

Cons: Can't find parts for certain equipment. Put numbers in and comes back with no part found . So takes longer to find . Don't like to take forever to find something

Pros: Easy for the technicians to use, love that they can look up products and get a price in the field.
They enjoy that feature as well and it helps the customer to see what the costs will be ahead of time.

Cons: I'm having trouble with the format as far as when I print the receipts it cut things off. Need some help with that.

We have some issues with Coolfront and how they charge compared to how the company charges.

Pros: You can enter the names and if they are in your QuickBooks it finds them. It's easy to put the information in for the service techs to see it on the app.

Cons: I do not like the way they charge with taxes and labor. I still have to go through and redo when we enter the work order in QuickBooks.

Pros: The flatrate pricing feature is helpful.

Cons: I was told it would sync with Quickbooks. That is only partially true. The invoices did sync with QB, in that they showed up in QB, however, there were no details that could be tracked by QB. I don't feel like the customer service understood what I needed. They kept telling me QB could do what I need but I couldn't do it without purchasing more of what Coolfront had to offer.

Overall: The Flatrate pricing.

Pros: ease of not having to look through quickbooks for everything, like that evertthing is done electronically and tickets aren't written anymore. All prices are in the system and the customer can see and approve the work to be done right there.

Cons: Doesn't update like it should and not easy to link, when you try to find something in coolfront that is already in quick books, most of the time it will not pull up what you are trying to find or the customer's sub job you are trying to find won't pull up l

Pros: i like the flat rate pricing it works great especially if my techs. quick books sync is really helpful

Cons: i would like too see the flat rate pricing without creating a invoice. when quoting repairs i would be nice too just go in and take a look

Pros: The interface is pretty straightforward and easy to use. They have thought of almost everything, upsells, maintenance agreements etc.

Cons: I feel this isn't cut out for a larger service outfit seems to fit well with smaller scale shops.

Pros: Integration with QuickBooks, ease of use, versatility . I was able to print invoices right in my truck. Looks very professional.

Cons: No app dedicated to the software. Stock pricing became hard to change. Can be a little pricing for the mom and pop user. There is not that many cons to this program overall

Pros: Great pricing and updates! It allows us to stay competitive with pricing with the updating flat rate.

I like that the program updates instantly. I can edit and update work orders while the technician has the work order assigned. I like that I don't have to wait on techs to send work orders back to be able to change them.

The techs prefer this software to the previous one we used.

The invoicing straight out of Coolfront feature is great and saves time.

I like that there is a place for technicians to get signatures from customers for approval for work.

Cons: NO DISPATCH BOARD. Currently I have to utilize another software to see the layout of the daily schedule. It would make my job as dispatcher much easer if Coolfront had a dispatch board.

There is no way to build your customer data base besides building new work orders.

An area for techs to put in equipment would be wonderful. It would allow our techs to enter equipment info to build more customer history, and to allow us to know what each customer has at their home or business.

Finally, having an area where technicians can log their times would be super helpful. For example: Dispatch, Arrival, & Departed times.

Pros: Very easy to get up to speed on functionality. Works well on all platforms: computer, tablet or even a mobile phone.

Cons: Not as configurable as I would like. Does what it does very well, but has some limitations. The simplicity makes it difficult to expand practicality. For example, only one customer email address can be entered.

Pros: We had tried 2 other scheduling software providers prior to finding COOLFRONT. In both cases the experience was stressful and was not beneficial to our company's production and therefore our bottom line. COOLFRONT has had 2 positive effects on our business. Not only did it solve our scheduling conflict issues, but also gave us access to new, up-to-date, flat rate pricing that has increased our bottom line and helped us become a more productive service company.

Cons: If there was one thing I would change about COOLFRONT, It would be to give ADMIN the ability to make changes to the cost of a part. When management feels like a customer needs a discount for that part or service, in my opinion, It would be much easier to simply adjust the cost of the entry that a tech has already found in the COOLFRONT data base, instead of having to make up a custom repair and price for that part .

Works great and is easy to use just does not have the reporting options that are needed.

Pros: It is very user friendly, syncs to our accounting software. Can set up our customer agreements, auto fills with customer information if customer has already set-up a work order. Look back so that you can see customer past work orders.

Cons: Pricing is not up to date with industry standards in our area so we are constantly having to create custom repairs.

Pros: I like being able to know onsite what the total bill will be, as well as being able to send new work orders to technicians in the field.

Cons: -Would like to see an integration with time clock software or have built in software

Pros: I like that the software is very straight forward, you know exactly what to enter in and where to enter it in.

Cons: My cons with the software is the scheduling being through google and not its on schedule. It is an extra step that takes another minute.

Pros: The flat rate pricing is a nice tool that allows me to quickly offer up a cost for a repair. The database storage is a nice feature that keeps all of my customers in there so that I can pull up their history.

Cons: Does not process payments. Does not put "paid in full on the invoice. I would also like to be able to print out my client list for mailings. I would like the pricing to show both the time and materials in my view. I can only select one or the other. I would like the option to quickly change the time or material if need be on a case by case basis, without having to create a custom repair.

Overall: No cost. Pretty decent database of pricing and parts already in it.

Pros: Being able to bill the customer right on the spot and collect the money is great. This keeps the cash flow going and we have less bad debt from customers that refuse to pay later. It is also nice that all bills are consistent, just in case neighbors would compare. I also like that it will prefill info from our QuickBooks database. Very easy to set up new customers and add or change information. It is nice it will show previous service call information on the form for easy reference.

Cons: Sometimes the program can run slow. This can cause our guys in the field to have to wait until the changes come through to their I pads.

Overall: I think it saves the company and makes the dreaded end of the month billing obsolete.

Excellent tool - allows me to give upfront pricing at no additional operating cost

Pros: When looking at flat rate books vs coolfront's mobile software, it was clear coolfront was the way to go. The database is always updating with market fluctuations and with the ability to add custom items it is a great fit for us.

Cons: The new search engine is pretty rough and seems to be lacking compared to the previous version. The ability to add a custom discount to a ticket without having to add it to the whole system first would be great. And the ability to change the order of items on the ticket would be fantastic.

Pros: That our techs have access to flat rate pricing and being it is web based have access on any tablet, laptop, desktop or phone if necessary

Cons: Invoices that are still open or pending drop off into archives. Would like to see the system only sense the paid invoices drop into archives automatically after the current time it does it and leave other not mark paid to be manually archived

Overall: Gives us the ability to be a more paperless company where the majority of our invoices get emailed verses printed and mailed out and as a result can get payment faster when customer is not home to make payment at time of service

Pros: I like the ease of entering the information. I like that you can email receipt to customer right away. I like how it can be an invoice or a receipt.

Cons: It's not easy to search for a customer unless you know the date of the last time you were there. That is my major disappointment with this program. Searching for customers & history & merging the calls together. I ALWAYS have to go to add on & Merge. I wish it was more automatic. I use wintac & it always pulls up correct customer just by entering a few letters or address. You dont' even need complete info. If Coolfront doesn't correct the merge/search soon I will have to switch to a different software/dispatching program.

Overall: emailing of invoices & receipts. Flat rate pricing.

Pros: Coolfront is simple and paperless. All I have to do is look for an invoice by the choices given. Making it easy to stay organized without having to worry about losing paper work. I also love that you can use it off line.

Pros: Ease of use. Can be operated quickly with little experience. Like the part finder if you know how to use it.

Cons: I hate when it wants to update while either writing notes or searching for a part. I wish there were tabs in my favorites for favorite filters, types of freon, or belts instead of looking over my favorites 3 or for times. I wish I could add a custom part or charge myself instead of having my office remake what I've already done just so they can send it back to me to add it on my favorites. All of the other techs said the same about updates. Add them to the home page when available. Frustrating. Finally inputting carrier numbers usually calls for 2 additional numbers or letters at the beginning of a part number. If typed in using the part number supplied from carrier it fails to find it. If those 2 first numbers or letters are left off when typing it in it will find it every time. I have found this only on carrier parts. Thank you for your help.

Pros: I most like this software to schedule work and take payments. My customers love that I can quote them repairs in seconds

Cons: The only gripe I have is that when I switch from the app to say look up a phone number or email which has the customers information I need to input into Coolfront. When I return to the app it reloads and any info I had already input is gone

Overall: Cost reduction overall of processing service related billing and customer tracking. Also reduction in preprinted forms. Repairs data base that is always up to date. Made is a more profitable service company due to uniform pricing and makes it easy for tech to price out job.

2. Changes customer information randomly (we will change a phone number, then after saving it, it will revert back to what was previously automatically generated - addresses, names, etc.).

Cons: Has glitches with mobil app. Doesn't refresh easily, Hard to search history. Not being able to edit custom repairs. You have to delete and start over. Sometimes difficult to call in and get customer support immediately.

Have been using for 3 years now, very easy to use!! Don't know what we would do without it!

Pros: The newer search engine allows for a more controlled search of parts or repair and its availability off line.

Cons: I would like to see the next work orders less available until the current work order is filled out completely. It would help to prevent incomplete work orders or work orders not filed out.

Pros: very easy to use

Overall: To be able to include notes that are hidden from customers and also notes that customers can see.
We like the ability to sync with Quick Books.

Pros: I like having all my prices at the tip of my fingers. It's nice to be able to find exactly what I'm looking for when I'm pricing quotes for a job.

Cons: I HATE that every other week a new search database pops up. I like the one I'm using the new ones kinda stinks. My other biggest complaint is that sometimes while I'm typing it will reset and it says please wait for the install and then takes forever....

Overall: Makes my job alot easier when I have what I need

Pros: The ease of use and how the screens operate. The new search is better and having options to filter also is a plus. Being able to populate past customer information and having a history of their previous services would assist techs in the field.

Cons: There isn't enough parts listed for certain types of equipment and usually have to either pick a part close or more often than not create my own repair, sometimes the price needs adjusting as well. With the elderly or folks with vision glasses it is often stated that the grey writing is difficult to discern.

Pros: Very simple to navigate and figure out. The pricing should be eye-opening to a contractor versus pricing a job using outdated methods of time and materials.

Pros: like how it syncs to quickbooks easily, and also it is pretty easy to set up and the prices are very competative

Cons: sometimes searching for a simple capacitor is hard to do . but usually you will find somthing that will work

Pros: Glance back is extremely helpful. Merge it is also extremely helpful.
Email button to send invoice or receipt to customer is great.
Able to use system off line is very important to us. Cellular service is not great in our area.

Cons: Would like to add more default email addresses. For example, when I send to customer I would also like accounting to get the invoice as well as myself ( Service Manager)
Parts Cart doesn't show up all the time so it quit thinking about it. When I view a techs work order I don't see Parts cart.

Pros: Up front pricing for my customers. It allows me to set my margin without employees being involved with cost of materials and markup. It has increased my profitability since implementing this software.

Cons: I've had a few complaints about the pricing. In some instances it does seem to be too much. I've had several complaints about the length of the invoice numbers. I've also received two complaints from a property management company; first the work order number stays a work order number on the ticket and does not change to an invoice number. This requires the staff to print the invoice and then write the work order number under the writing "Invoice" in order to process the invoice.a the second issue is they want me to email the invoice directly to the company that processes their AP, but the require the invoices in a PDF format. Can anything be done on these issues?

It's a nice program. Have been using it for a couple of years and have no real complaints.

Pros: Pro the software is usable in offline mode. The fact customer's are stored online and pay supporters are saved is excellent.
The ability to assign management duties to individuals controlling their level of interaction. Google calendar integration is great.

Cons: Cons, I do wish the navigation between screens was't so involved. A common menu through the app would make it easier as opposed to the back button. And currently it is only compatible with QuickBooks to synch with. A feature which I'm sure is nice but I don't use QuickBooks which makes my bookkeeping all manual. No ability to download invoices as spread sheet. Search feature is good but could be simplified. Dispatching can be a little confusing if more than 5 tech's. The app doesn't work well with some of our other office management software.

Overall: Easier usage. No storage for paper invoices.

Great customer service, always willing to help get things figured out for the customer.

Pros: The ease and speed of working a take off is great! That coupled with the awesome customer service makes this program well worth the money.

Cons: Could be easier adding prices. The screen view of plans is tad small, and would be nice to have arrow buttons for page.

Overall: Speed and reliability have increased, no more pencil and paper to to take off jobs, and all the cost info is great.

It has really helped keep up our Maintenance Tracking

Pros: It calls, sends texts, sends emails to costumers up to 5 times. This same a lot of phone time for office personal. This also keeps something trying to reach customers when they just do not call you back.

Cons: Little bit of a learning curve but that is always to be expected. It kept calling some customers too much. I though that was ok but the customer did not.

Overall: No lost customers because we would give up on calling multiple times.

Great for start up companies. Love the flatmate pricing thats built in.

Pros: Flatrate pricing is built in to take away the guesswork on service call repairs. Great for start up companies!

Cons: Does not manage customer info well such as organizing for future maintenance follow ups and things of that nature. Also does not store customer unit info with an actual customer account.

Hands down the best software available! My profits increased 200%

Pros: A very extensive data base whit very good description of the different products an repairs, the ability of adding your own repair

Cons: The new serarch engine has made more difficult to find a Or search for a repair, for example Friday I was looking for ( replace evaporator coil) the program can't find it. Outside disconnect can't find it

Since using Coolfront, our work order workflow has improved greatly, and our pricing is consistent.

Pros: Available in the cloud, so it's accessible anywhere. The software also works offline, for the most part. The best part is that the software is based on flat rate pricing, and that makes pricing and completing work orders fast.

Cons: Sometimes finding repairs in the database is a difficult task. Although the search function gets better over time, some repairs just don't seem to come up when searching for the logical keywords that you would first think to use.

Overall: Consistent pricing from customer to customer for similar repairs. Flat rate pricing also helps us to charge appropriate prices that are fair for both us and the customer.

Coolfront has simplified my invoicing tasks tremendously!

Pros: I like the fact I can see what my technicians are billing at all times. I can assist with their invoices remotely. Also customer history can be viewed from the field. Adjusting pricing is simple.

Cons: The data base can sometimes be a little cumbersome to search but Coolfront is constantly updating it. Also there needs to be a built in application to upload photos to the invoice file.

Overall: We have been able to price correctly to maximize profits. We are more organized. All tickets are legible and have the needed customer information. There is much more control over technician pricing, no more over or undercharging.

Easy to use! Helps me keep paperwork to a minimum.

Pros: The technicians are out on the job and they have the prices for the repairs there right infront of them. Its way easier for them and the customers.

Overall: Switching from time and material to flat right has taken the guessing out of it all. If there is a repair they will know the price before we even do it.

Pros: My techs can add pricing on the spot and my customer immediately gets to approve and get a receipt.

Cons: Difficulty finding repairs. Would love if the data base was broke down where if its a plumbing call, the technician only sees plumbing repairs and if it is a hvac repair, the technician only sees hvac repairs. Also, would like to be able to set different price points for plumbing vs. hvac. The plumbing quite often seems a little high for our area while the hvac is on target, but we can't differentiate rates or mark ups for each trade.

Until you get your customer list in the system, it can be a little time consuming.

Pros: Over all it is easy to use, less paperwork, And most of my customers like it. We have tested your pricing against our pricing and we feel is very competitive and in some areas has helped our company turn a little bit more profit without ripping off customers.

Cons: When searching for a part, I can put the exact part I want or exact description I want and still end up with things that do not match or have absolutely nothing to do with my search. When importing data, if someone calls I have had all my information deleted because I did not save, or if I don't save and go to my phone's homepage it deletes everything I put in

Overall: Once your customer database is in the system, it saves time. The program is easy to use.

Pros: Simple once you provide the needed information.
Lots of repair information is already loaded to include several OEM repairs (residential)

Cons: We have a very broad customer base and find it difficult to tailor pricing for some of our (larger) negotiated rate clientele.

Overall: Not many, as integration into our firm doesn't seem easy to do.
