Pros: I love how Salesforce IQ not only tells me when people open my emails, but it also shows me when customers/clients click on URLs/links within the emails. Being able to see both the opening activity and the clicking activity is key for me.

Cons: I wish muting the notifications was a bit easier, but once I figured out how to do this, it was super easy! It was more me than Salesforce.

Overall: Using Salesforce IQ, I was able to get both high level-executive and task-level benefits:

1. High Level: Because I see opens and behaviors, I learned to write more engaging emails that get more opens

2. Task Level: Because Salesforce IQ logs emails to Salesforce with a click, I do not have to manually log (5-6 clicks). I get more time to do more important tasks.

Pros: I love that it's very user friendly & I can easily find the information I need. I also love that it syncs with Salesforce so there's no dup entry. They also rolled out the ability to see other employee's calendars when inserting availability in an email > This is great!

Cons: The fact that it does sufficiently track read receipts!!!! This is huge and we've been asking for it since we first started using it and were told that it would be rolled out but hasn't. The system will let you know when an email was opened but there's no way to go back to search that email at a future time and see if it was opened. The user is relegated to scrolling through a list of every. single. email. that has ever been tracked to try to find the one they're looking for to see if it was opened. I'm sure there's also an easy way to upload my email templates but I haven't figured it out.

Overall: I can track emails when they're opened.

Comments: I preferred this software over competitors like Insightly, but I am still looking for a CRM to love.

Pros: Some of the automated tasks. The seamless integration with GMAIL is incredible, I enjoyed being able to update records and deals right within gmail.

Cons: Pricier than their competitors. Entry level software platform, not as full featured as their parent company, salesforce.

Pros: SalesforceIQ is a great product with lots of features and can scale with your business as you can convert to other Salesforce CRM systems.

Cons: The product is very expensive, especially for a startup and they don't offer much in the way of discounts or packages for startups. The customer support was also not great at quickly responding to requests.

Comments: As a small business, we don't have all of the resources available to us that some bigger businesses have. If you don't have an IT department or you're not pretty tech savvy, you may want to go in another direction. There is NO phone support, so everything is by e-mail and if you don't ask your question the way the tech understands it, you won't get the answer you need to address your concern. They are quick to refer you to a library of online videos and an FAQ page. Things that I can usually have someone talk me through in 10 minutes, they would have you watch 2 hours of videos and hope you understand when you are done. This has not been a good experience for us and unless you meet the criteria I outlined above, you are probably in for the same rocky path.

Pros: I like that I only have 6 months left on our subscription.

Cons: - I still have 6 months left on our subscription - NO PHONE SUPPORT.

Comments: I've been using SalesForceIQ for two years now, and very satisfied.
Mostly, I enjoy the read receipts option via the chrome gmail extension. It embeds a pixel in every outgoing email and I get an immediate notification once the email is opened.
SalesforceIQ taps into the gmail inbox and automatically updates the opportunities based on email communications, and allows me and my colleagues to be in sync - very important for us.
Chatter options are also convenient. I found it very easy to master though some of my colleagues found it a bit more difficult.
Some problems supporting Hebrew (characters can't be searched), and too bad that the basic package doesn't include integrations of API for use with other software.

Comments: We are a small business and signed up for SalesforceIQ last year. We decided not to renew our subscription with them this year owing to the fact that their customer service (right from the onboarding process to the technical support provided by their account managers were substandard and not even baseline satisfactory). To add insult to injury, they sent an invoice for $ more (after we did not renew our membership) asking for it to be paid or be turned over to a third party collection agency. When questioned, their collections team said, there was a small clause in the signup agreement which said " The term of each subscription shall be as specified in the applicable Order Form. Except as otherwise specified in an Order Form, subscriptions will automatically renew for additional periods equal to the expiring subscription term or one year (whichever is shorter), unless either party gives the other notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the end of the relevant subscription term." We have decided to speak to our lawyers regarding this matter and do not wish to use any of their services in the future. Please be warned of the appalling customer service and their tendency to hound you to get their pound of flesh even when the customer decides not to use their service.

Pros: Too many free CRM products out there which have similar features. Stay away from any salesforce product.

Cons: Bad attitude Appalling Customer Service Hidden Clauses

Recommendations to other buyers: A bunch of money grabbing company with no concept of customer service - Stay Away!

Pros: It's a common place for reporting. We have a lot of very important information stored in SF IQ.

Cons: -Slows my computer down.
-More integration with other applications would be great.
-Not 100% confident everyone in the company is keeping it updated.
-accounts can be made for a customer and they will not show up in the "customer" list

Overall: We use Salesforce IQ to keep tabs on customer communication, refunds, and business relationships. It is extremely helpful to keep the company on the same page.

Recommendations to other buyers: Nope.

Pros: The email intelligence. Every email sent from someone on your team to the account will be listed for all to see. No more back and forth with your teammates catching up on the status of an account - all gathered without any manual data entry.

Cons: It can get a bit pricey when adding additional users.

Overall: If you're looking to upgrade from Google spreadsheets, but haven't hired your first experienced VP of sales, then SalesforceIQ is a perfect fit.

Cons: Sales pressure, no follow through with commitments, products aren't worth what you pay, poor billing.

Overall: Our experience is horrible. They charged us for services that we didn't sign up for and never had access to, and they sent us to collections for not paying for those service charges. We canceled our services and they continue to bill us. Their products are overrated and their support is terrible. Don't believe anything the sales guy tells you because none of it will be honored. Comments: While the product helps us achieve our objective of managing thousands of our business partners for direct marketing and account management purposes we have had very poor technical support recently. We are based in Singapore (not US time zone) and have to rely on one email per day comms to share updates or information. We have been going at it for more than a month now with no resolution, no case number and no contact number for a call to resolve quickly. I can't believe a global company like SalesforceIQ cannot provide global / local 24x7 support.

Pros: Easy to manage and export data. Integrates well with email.

Cons: As mentioned above, technical support may as well not exist. If you have an urgent need for support - good luck with that.

Recommendations to other buyers: Assume you will not have any rapid or verbal technical support.

Pros: Salesforce IQ is one of the better CRM programs I have used, that being said, it was not for me. I enjoyed the ease of learning the program and the customer support was phenomenal. The options that IQ offers are abundant and allow one to handle almost any task. My favorite feature is the email tracking so I know the moment a client opens or reopens an email.

Cons: For my use, this product was too much. It offered too many things that I don't think I'll ever use but others may find perfectly suited for their needs.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it. Plain and simple, you won't know how this will best fit your needs until you use it and implement it.

Comments: SalesforceIQ has been a decent CRM, I've used it both doing Business Development myself and extracting data to do analytics on our business development. We put a lot of time into looking for the right tool and it seems like all CRMs (Zoho, Streak, Close.io, ...) all have their good sides and bad sides: sfIQ is strong on allowing a customizable sales process for each pipeline.

Pros: They've been really responsive to feature requests, though the follow up that those features have actually been built hasn't be as good. The sfIQ Google Chrome extension is really helpful and allows you to use much of the functionality of sfIQ in gmail and elsewhere.

Cons: Occasionally sfIQ is really slow. It works excellently on super fast internet connections but on desktop wifi in the field it can get annoying, that's less of a problem with the native mobile apps. The automatic info it adds on companies is more often garbage than not, and it's not edible, which isn't awesome. Their more expensive plans are really expensive: those get you great support, but the product is still just as satisfactory.

Comments: We signed up for RelateIQ 2 months ago and did not find it useful so we called the support guys to cancel our subscription. It was then that they informed us that we have no choice but to keep our subscription for a year because of some fine print that they never mentioned before.

Cons: The product was pretty useless for us and now we cannot even cancel our subscription. This is really bad.

Comments: We put a lot of time and effort into selecting an ideal CRM. After many months of deliberation, we chose RelateIQ for three primary reasons: 1) Superior UI and intuitive UX 2) Excellent customer service - particularly we were very impressed by Jane Alexander (and appreciate the additional help from Armando Mann - we'd recommend reaching out to Jane) 3) Customization to our needs - ease of use to our priorities and needs has been exceptional All in all, RelateIQ is an extremely user-friendly, customizable, more fun, and customer-service approach to everything we're looking for in a CRM. We're very pleased with our choice, and look forward to scaling our growth with this solution moving forward. Thank you Jane!

Pros: Intuitive UI/UX Superior service-based approach Personalized account management Automated email exchange records (no manual data entry)

Cons: RelateIQ is in process of rolling out more robust KPI and dashboard tracking, which we look forward to implementing when it's ready. The Pros far outweigh any Cons, however, so far in our experience.

Pros: * Seamless integration between email and tracking relationships/deals * Ability to see all email threads by customer across the sales team * Amazing customer service * Very easy to update your data structure and fields you are tracking

Comments: We are a small startup who has used RelateIQ to get our act together. The stream feature is great in that my partner and I only have to check one place before picking up the phone with a client to see all of our recent activity. Jane has been so very helpful in getting us going. It feels as if they view our business as a partner and want us to succeed so we can grow together, rather than seeing us as $/month.

Pros: Great setup (just enter your email and password and it begins scanning your emails). Nice data entry UI. Customer service.

Cons: Would love a default "share everything everywhere" feature.

Comments: I love RelateIQ. We are a small-ish company of about 20 people, and we started using SalesForce. It was terrible - everything was completely manual, you had to input everything and tell it exactly what to do. We decided to go with RelateIQ, and it has made my life much easier. I check my feed to see who I need to reach out to and keep myself apprised of all the ongoing relationships I have. Our account manager, Will, is awesome too. He is super responsive and makes sure we have what we need.

Cons: - looking for API integration into Mattermark

Saves time AND more importantly saves the missed opportunity

Comments: As an investor, everything I do is email centric. It's how I manage my day / follow up with meetings / share ideas / get ideas / receive new opportunities / communicate with LPs .... this list goes on. Pre- RelateIQ, I would try to keep a spreadsheet of investment opportunities and portfolio companies, but it would inevitably go stale b/c of the overhead required to maintain / update a list. I would also spend at least an hour a day just managing my email (i.e. following up with to-dos, self reminders, tagging or dragging emails to sub folders). This is an hour spent just organizing my email communication versus actually writing emails! RelateIQ automates a lot (but not all) of this work. The key is that I still want control over how email threads are organized and RelateIQ allows me the freedom to stay in control, but pulls so much data to me at the right time that I find myself spending much less time on email management. More importantly, after I started using it for a couple of weeks, I started to gradually optimize my deal pipeline and how I move things through the funnel. Ultimately this is the unquantifiable value in RelateIQ ... avoiding a missed opportunity!

Pros: Easy to get going ... very little integration required. Pulls a lot of relevant information about people and companies to me when I need it. Surfaces timely reminders for follow up. Identifies relationships buried in email.

Cons: Requires a bit of change in thinking about how you use your email ... but it's worth it!

Comments: At Work-Bench, we use RelateIQ to stay in sync across all our conversations, with our member and portfolio companies, as well as our colleagues in the enterprise and venture communities. We love to get reminded that a relationship is growing stale and make sure to follow up by getting in touch and never being out of sight, out of mind. Use RelateIQ and say goodbye to tedious relationship management and unsynchronized efforts, and welcome effective business engagements with the people who matter most, your partners and customers.

Cons: The software is expensive, but if used right is worth it.

Automation that doesn't make you lazy

May 03, 2014
4/5
Overall

Comments: Relate IQ, not the cheapest, but sometimes you need to invest in something to get the returns. The fact right away, the types of pipelines of Sales, Investment and Talent that were offered and customised fields/behaviour on what you choose made sense to the stage of business we are at. The product spoke for itself, but the customer support helping us through use cases that we didn't realise to take the "just enough" knowledge to the next level is the difference between us using this and something else.

Pros: Accounts (company profiles) that automatically suggest/grouping contacts. Sentiment analysis on emails, pulling out questions from people and looking to see if you haven't answered them. Customer support

Cons: No default "share all history" for contact streams. Chrome plugin: it really, really needs is the ability to track opened emails when sending via Gmail.

RelateIQ is Huge Time Saver

Comments: We are a small startup dealing with thousands of leads/month. Salesforce was just too clunky for us to be using at such an early stage. As we've worked on RelateIQ they've actively taken our feedback and the product has been getting more streamlined every day. With analytics and an API I can imagine this scaling for us nicely as we continue to grow!

Pros: Automatically Ingest Email Hours saved. Great customer support.

Cons: Worry that they will sell to Salesforce as an add-on and will stop innovating.

Finally an App that Handles My Data the Way I'd Want To

May 02, 2014

Overall

Comments: I care about my data. Sure, I can be a jerk sometimes, and maybe I've attempted to DOS one or two web apps that sent me a batch of poorly formatted JSON. But I do it because I care. I might flip a table during a meeting when my requests for more servers get denied, but I'll also stay up until 2:30 AM debugging a regex for sorting email contents. Which is where I was one Friday night. The project started simple enough - look for some keywords and put those contacts into certain groups. Maybe send it off to SFDC or something. But it soon grew into a grotesque beast with geometries not of this world - I had white boards within white boards in a futile attempt to visualize what I had done. Realizing I had likely unleashed Cthulhu, I fell into a state of convulsions and fits spouting out incoherent insanities. s/\~\~\~/\\\\\\/g $_ =~ /^qizandtiah[a-z0-9_]+\s+_$/i s/\(.\{8\}\)\1\(q?\)/\2\1\1\1/ | grep -vi 'marketing department q(uar)?t(e)?r(ly)?' s/[^ -~]/whyonearthisthischaracterhere/g And then I found RelateIQ. You give some log-ins. It reads your emails. Facebooks. LinkedIns. Calendars. It just works. Suggests I set up meetings with old contacts when I'm back in their area. Reminds me to email that old classmate about the BBQ on Saturday. Keeps track of how my entire team has been contacting people, so I'm not wondering how many times we've talked to Bill about a potential deal. We use it to plan the month, week, and day - and we want to use it for that. Maybe underneath it all the Great Old One slumbers, ready to rise again, but I can sleep soundly knowing someone else is keeping it at bay.

Pros: Just give your log-ins and it just works One stop place for all the different forms of communication

Cons: I'm convinced they've made a deal with an Eldritch Horror to figure this stuff out

Love RelateIQ

Comments: My team of 6 uses RelateIQ religiously after switching from Salesforce. RIQ's integration with email clients intelligently centralizes our team's activity with a given relationship (contact or company). The increased visibility has made our internal processes more efficient, increased engagement from previously inactive team members, and lessened the burden on our inboxes. The RIQ team was and continues to be super supportive, helping import our legacy data and ensure we were set up properly. I cannot recommend RIQ enough for progressive teams seeking a next-generation CRM system. This product delivers.

Pros: "Passive" CRM - emails, calendar events etc are automatically pulled into relationship records; grid view makes data entry fast and flexible; pleasant design/UI; "intelligent fields," especially "days inactive," provide actionable insights

Cons: Reporting is currently lightweight, though useful; more robust follow-up features would make RIQ even better. The product is evolving and improving so quickly that I assume these and other features will be added eventually.

RelateIQ; the app is simple to use, the team is wonderful to work with.

Comments: I work as an executive for a 3-person start-up. We are in the seed stage of a start-up's life-cycle, and are sourcing investment opportunities left and right. The team desperately needed to organize our contacts and improve our internal communication. RelateIQ organized all our historical communications, contacts, and accounts, and simplified the process of viewing, editing and evaluating our pipeline as a team.

Pros: Customer service: Our Accnt Mgr, Jane Alexander was an incredible resource with her wealth of knowledge, accessibility, and amenable personality. Product: A highly customizable and collaborative tool, simple and intuitive. the iPad of CRM.

Cons: Would love to be able to integrate a calendar function into the platform to schedule precise timelines for follow-up and set future meetings. An internal chat function would also be great to streamline communication.

Comments: Relate IQ is amazing on many levels. The service is incredible. If I have a question, I simply call Tommy and he answers my question on the spot or gets back to me. I have made suggestions for improving the software and they were literally implemented within days. This software has made my job much easier. I have prior experience with salesforce. Relate IQ is so much better- I would NEVER want to go back to salesforce.

Pros: Way too many to list- service, functionality, great app, great people, super easy to customize and much more.

Cons: None

Just a really good app.

Comments: We just completed our 30 day trial and signed up for more. The user interface is really smooth and intuitive on both web and the IOS app; it took me only minutes to work out what I was doing, add customers etc. The ability to automatically pull and push out email and contacts from our outlook accounts sealed the deal - I know if we had to manually enter contacts and customer conversations that we would struggle to keep it up to date and revert back to inundating each other's email inboxes with CC emails.

Pros: simple, attractive and easy to use UI Customer initiation/familiarization via video and web meetings

Comments: Simply put, RelateIQ is incredible. Gone are the days of manual data-entry. With RelateIQ, I literally feel hours of my week coming back to me. I love the easy-to-use and clean interface, the ability to track all relationships in your business (sales pipeline, account management, recruiting), the lack of manual data entry, and the peace-of-mind that you won't drop the ball on following up on a lead. The team at RelateIQ is world class, and it shows. The velocity of product pushes, the responsiveness of the team, and the ease of use of the product put RelateIQ in a league of its own. RelateIQ will be a household name soon enough. I look forward to watching them continue to revolutionize the world of relationship management.

Pros: ease-of-use no data-entry world class team smart relationship management (suggested follow ups, contact merges etc) beautiful product

Cons: relatively small third party ecosystem ( though it's constantly improving with Zapier integrations) reporting is showing signs of brilliance, but is still evolving and improving

Comments: RelateIQ is not only cost efficient, but it feels like a truly modern approach to sales. The u/i, layout, and interface is inline with any other cutting edge technology, whereas we found their competitors to be much more antiquated. The new email interface is absolutely incredible - now most of our task tracking and management occurs within the email interface, avoiding time wasted switching between multiple programs. This is an absolute no brainer for any sales organization.

Pros: * ease of use * simplicity of integration

Cons: * analytics have been steadily improving, but are not yet as autonomous as other CRMs

Comments: Nothing but great things to say about this product. I threw away two CRM products previous to implementing RIQ and have been incredibly pleased working with their team and product over the past two years. I would honestly tribute this tool to much of the success we have had at Addepar to scaling our deployments to enable seamless relationship management and transparency for the organization. The application's intelligence continues to impress me and I have no doubt this is just the beginning with the amazing team they have put together. On top of the incredible technology that they have built, I have also been quite pleased with their customer service. Excited to see this product and team grow in the future!

Comments: We've been working with RelateIQ for about a month now, and it has solved many serious issues we'd been living with (very unhappily) as a company for over a year. 1) We move quickly, and as a small team are constantly engaging with customers, partners and opening new doors. Over time, a lot was getting lost. With RelateIQ we were able to collate all of our shared contacts and relationships across the team, and organize them in lists like Press Connections, Service Providers, Hot Leads etc. We are able to provide our independent insights and even prior communications to the rest of the team quickly and effectively. 2) Integrating our last hires with our collective connections took over 3 weeks. With RelateIQ, our next hire will have all of the relevant connections and details they need immediately, with contextually relevant conversation histories. It's seriously insane. 3) We have been able to discover resources and solutions to problems that were buried in our inboxes - and have been given the confidence that no future connections will slip through the cracks. Rather than going 'back through time,' most of the team has installed the gMail integration and just works in real-time, crushing their inbox and 'putting contacts in their place' simultaneously. Again, the time-saving is nuts. 4) It really does give you more brain space to forget about 'things in the back of your mind'. The reminders and contact-focused communications make for a much more straight-forward life of communication.

Pros: It's pretty, does amazing things, and provides long-lasting value.

Cons: Set-up time is relatively high, so someone on your team will need to commit to the software and drive team adoption/educatio. Learning it yourself is challenging even with the walk-throughs, as it really is an entirely new approach to communication.

Comments: As a person who is required to manage both a sales team and my own accounts I've found RIQ to be an invaluable tool by saving me a TON of time, providing me concise and actionable analytics and being an awesemone mobile UX while on the road. The proof is in the pudding. Because of RIQ we have better leads entering our funnel, are able to connect the dots through "closest connections" which results in us landing more meetings, clients and increased revenues. There was life BRIQ and ARIQ. If you are a sales person or manager seeking "sales salvation" you've arrived! Used effectively, I challenge any sales team not to find improvements in their performance using this platform.

Pros: Mobile Data intelligence Collaboration Network effects Ease of on boarding and integration CUSTOMER SERVICE

Cons: Not enough hours in the day to fully leverage the RIQ potential!

RelateIQ: Not your Father's CRM

Apr 24, 2014

Overall

Comments: If you think it¿s difficult to get excited about a CRM, RelateIQ will certainly change that. The simplicity and insight that this product brings to your everyday workflow is incredible. From the iPhone application to the Chrome extension, your life will become more organized and you'll become more effective at what you do. Long gone are the days of manually entering data into a CRM. RelateIQ pulls directly from your email account and organizes it all beautiful. You can set follow-ups, assign tasks, and even see if the mail recipient read your email. And that's just the beginning. One of the coolest things is that the application mines your emails and suggests follow-ups for you automatically. What does that mean? As an example, say you sent an email to a potential client and at the end of it you said 'let me know if you have any questions.' If the potential client doesn't respond for a few days, RelateIQ will nudge you and suggest that you reach out since you haven't heard back. In effect, it bubbles up the important bits. A wise man once said that a wealth of information creates a poverty of attention. RelateIQ solves this (in your inbox, at least).

Pros: Elegant UI Organizes massive amounts of information Improves productivity Great iPhone App No manual data entry Great reporting Easy API The list goes on and on!

Cons: At first glance, it's pricey. However, after you use it for awhile, you'll realize that it's worth every penny.

Comments: Our team uses RelateIQ to gain more visibility into our relationships with both prospects and customers. It is unbelievably intuitive, saving our sales team countless hours each week inputting data while also recommending when and how they should follow up with prospects, so that nothing falls between the cracks. Can't even begin to quantify the ROI given how much time it saves from manual reporting, how much information it captures for each prospect/account and how its intelligence helps our reps prioritize their activities. Easy to use, easy to get started and very powerful. With most sales-related software that I have used and evaluated over my career, either salespeople love it or sales managers love it, but seldom do they both love the same product. With RelateIQ, both groups love it. We're big fans and highly recommend.

Comments: RelateIQ is doing something that should've been done some time ago: redefine CRM. RelateIQ takes advantage of the information that is already there: your email history, call logs, mobile activity, and creates smart reminders so you can optimize your go-to-market efforts.

Pros: - Slick UI and design - "Smart" application. I do't need to log activities for things I've already done. - Fast updates. The RIQ team is cranking out improvements constantly.

Cons: Since RelateIQ hasn't been around as long as some of the more established CRMs, it is still working on many of it's integrations. That said, I'm confident they will build superior integrations that what we're used to today.

Comments: Having used several CRM tools in the past, I have yet to find one that has a mobile app worth using. The apps are either too limited in functionality, the UI is too complicated, or the app is too slow.
