Pros

The ease of using the system. Being able to see the technician in real time, their location and on site and off site times. Quoting is also made simple thru Service Trade as well.

That it can lag at times, and that you cannot access the email from the pop up.

I love this product from reoccurring service management, to job creation/completion to invoicing. In addition, ServiceTrade has an amazing customer support team behind the scenes if needed.

Pros

It's critical to have a good Field Service Management system when working in a service industry. ServiceTrade is an excellent product that eases the day-to-day burden of managing our customer's needs. In addition, ServiceTrade is continually approving their product.

Cons

If I had to pick something it would have to be that occasionally I lose connection, and the pesky emu pops up.

### "Don't trust this software with your business's vital processes"

We used ServiceTrade for over 6 years for all aspects of our fire alarm business. It was a great software at the beginning. That being said, they have made too many updates that were not properly tested, and the end result is a software that just doesn't work anymore. They are no longer a high quality product, but continue to charge as if they were. If you use ServiceTrade for all of your business's processes- installation, work order tracking, recurring service work, invoicing, profitability tracking, timecards, inventory management- you will be extremely disappointed in the result.

Pros

This software is user friendly. Your field staff will like the UI- either through the cell phone or a tablet. Very customer friendly. Automated emails with custom links is terrific. Overall their product looks great on the surface, and the presentation is top notch.

Cons

This software is EXPENSIVE. There are much more cost efficient alternatives that perform just as well. Major updates are frequently rolled out without notice, and have a huge impact on your processes. Each update results in more bugs, and have a cumulative negative result on the performance of the software. Updates also effect the app, so field staff are constantly having issues, and have to delete/reinstall the software. Data is extremely difficult to mine (and yes, it costs extra to access that data). Determining how your techs perform, gross profit for projects, sales numbers are almost impossible to gather, and is often inaccurate once you figure out how to run the report. This software does not handle different tax rates, and will result in you charging the wrong rates to your customers, costing you money. Every feature costs more money- and the features frequently do not work as intended. (Timecards, recurring invoicing are major disappointments)

Reason for choosing ServiceTrade

When we originally chose ServiceTrade, there weren't that many competitors offering what they did. Today, that is no longer the case. There are several other products to choose from, with different price points that make way more sense than ServiceTrade.

We are a huge fan of ST. I continually push this product to other fire service providers that I know as well as other field service providers. It has been the greatest addition to our business.

Pros

With ST we are able to fully run our business with the easy of customer locations, ticket prep, quoting and invoicing all in the same place.

Cons

The field techs with non-ios mobile devices have some minor problems with the mobile app, but we manage work-arounds for them.

Started when my company first used ServiceTrade and I have loved the evolution where it integrates with several different platforms.

Pros

It’s simple to flow through the different tabs. Easy from start to finish. Like the vast abilities it provides for different aspects.

Cons

Understanding the new dashboard has been difficult without a training. Do not like that you have to write a service and job description think they are the same. Should be able to transfer the reoccurring service type into the description.

### "ServiceTrade Has Transformed Our Business"

Before using ServiceTrade we were using emailing of PDF forms on iPads to manage all our of jobs. Having ServiceTrade took our business to a whole new level and allowed us to expand into multiple offices.

Pros

ServiceTrade has a great product that is intuitive to use. Since we subscribed 4 years ago they have continued to expand on the capabilities with updates to the software every 2-4 weeks. They are very responsive to requests for features and the customer support is super friendly and helpful. They integrate with key software companies to expand their functionality (like Intacct and Quickbooks) and they have a great API and integration with Zapier.

Cons

I hope they can continue to accelerate the addition of new features. There are a lot of companies out there trying to solve the same problems. I haven't seen anyone providing better value yet but I hope ServiceTrade stays ahead of the competition because whoever has the best software to manage their business will hold a significant advantage int he marketplace and we would like to stay with ServiceTrade. Switching software is a pain!

the invoicing of each job is super easy to use. I love the fact that you can see when the customer views the invoice.

Cons

The syncing with Sage 100 sometimes has its issues. Not syncing with the appropriate codes, is a hassle. There are a lot of work arounds we have to use for it come out correctly coded.

Love service trade! This makes my job so much easier! And also the technicians job a lot easier as well!!

Pros

What I love most about service trade is how easy it is to schedule jobs on service trade. Also, when you put an account in the first time, it saves the account so the following year you do not have to re enter the account information. Also, what I like is that you can look up an account just by the address. Super helpful, and that the map showing what jobs are already on the schedule and each person has their own color pin.

Cons

The only thing is that sometimes when you go to edit a job, when you click and move the mouse over the typed information, the window will close. Not all the time but once in a while.

I would say that we are happy overall with the ability of the tool. Especially when it comes to dispatch service, service quoting. We are lacking on the service contract, installation management and service inspection forms. We also would really like to have more reporting available. The account management and attention from our account manager \[sensitive content hidden\] has been excellent and he has been an advocate for our business.

Pros

Service Trade is a great tool for dispatch and management of our service business. We are looking for ways to utilize the system to also manage our construction and job costing of our installation business. We are finding that at times it is not as intuitive as we would like to create and utilize data reports from ST. The only way to do this to add a subscription for engineers to build the reports or go to the Enterprise which for a small business is difficult.

Cons

Some of the features are not quite ready like Service Forms or project management. We have also had some issues with getting parts ledger working 100% and this was not realized until we have gone live with the system. We woudl also like to have the ability to pull live reports to manage our business and don't feel this should require enterprise account if the reporting is already created and available.

Tracking past present and future jobs is critical to our company. This helps us stay better organized.

Being able to Tracy past present and future jobs and the notes and paperwork that are attached to those jobs. I am constantly using previous reports and notes from each customer to inspect and troubleshoot.

Cons

The cost of retrofitting our inspection forms into service trade forms. With how expensive this app is that is something that should be included not an up charge. There are a lot of feature we could use that Service trade offers but they are too expensive of upgrades. The app also freezes and glitches a lot on tablet mode. I cannot have the customers sign the work acknowledgment because it is not compatible with windows computers and then is too small of a box on my iPhone.

I am very happy with the intregration progress, and the support given to us from the ServiceTrade onboarding team. They are very helpful. They don't leave you once you go live. Support is always a click away and they are very quick to respond.

Cons

I feel the way ServiceTrade interacts with Quick Books could be better. We were lead to believe ServiceTrade would "talk" to Quick Books better than it does.

Pros

There are so many things I love about Service Trade!! One of my favorite things is being able to see all of the jobs at one location all on the same screen! That way I can look at all of the jobs & pick which one I want to look at. If it's not the one I need I can go back to the location screen & look at the other jobs. Sometimes I have to look at other jobs to get correct paperwork or pictures. So this feature makes my job a lot easier. I like how we can put helpful or important notes in the description box & it's the first thing you see when you bring the job up. It's such a time saver to be able to look at when the tech's clock in & out of jobs so you can see how long they drove & where on site by looking at the Clock Events quickly. The map on the main screen of the job helps us determine locations & directions. The techs being able upload their required paperwork & pictures at the job site is a life saver! We used to do everything the hard way. Our techs would have to bring the physical paperwork back to the office for us to scan into the computer. And the picture issue was a nightmare trying to get them non-digitally. My job location may be changing & my scared that they are not going to have Service Trade & I will have to go back to the dinosaur ages again to take care of the paperwork & pictures. My job without Service Trade would be miserable!

Cons

I can not hardly think of anything that I don't like about Service Trade! Every once in a while I can see a paper that a tech uploaded, but when you try to open it to the full screen it will just be white & there is no paper, so then I can't save it. And sometimes it will not let you adjust a paper or picture with the dragging the corners feature. But those things only happen like 1 time a month, if that.

Everyday use and tracking of jobs is user friendly. The reminders for services due is critical to cash flow. The bid system allows us to quickly secure jobs and manage them. Our customers can easily see the photos and reports to justify the expense of keeping their fire systems compliant,

Cons

I do not not like the canned responses from the service team. I am very busy and when I need help I do not have time to read an article. For the money we spend on this system I feel a live person should help not refer me to an article.
