Pros: The customer service aspect is probably its best asset. The layout is well thought out and for what we are currently using it for it¿s great.

Cons: It¿s overwhelming. May have crammed too much in. Going to need to utilize the unlimited customer service. In order to truly use it for all it is it comes with a price tag that¿s unreasonable.

Pros: We used this during the construction of our home and I don't know how we could have done it without it.

Cons: The product is kind of pricey compared to other programs but it outperforms them so it is a good tradeoff.

Builder Trend is very user friendly.

Comments: I would recommend this product.

Pros: It is very intuitive to use and customers can get on and see their schedules and know what options they need to select at what time.

Cons: Printing the schedule as a Gantt chart doesn't seem to print very well, It prints either too small to read or so big that it is over 50 pages....Maybe there is a fix but I haven't been able to get it to work.

I have never seen such a powerful tool in the building industry.

Pros: I love have everything from a particular job in one digital and mobile place. The training videos are also very helpful.

Cons: It's a little pricey but that's understandable for such a high end product. Needs a different pricing structure rather than per job.

Overall: Complete project management in the palm of my hand.

Moving to BuilderTrend was a smart choice.

Comments: Migrating to BuilderTrend was seamless and painless. It allowed us to streamline processes, saving time and money.

Pros: Ease of use, contains features specific to the building/construction industry, excellent tech support.

Cons: Reporting features are limited, however, their development team is currently working on expanding the reporting options.

Helps more than you believe for the construction industry making things simpler.

Pros: Great software/app that alot of my customers use to run thier construction business that helps make myself do business with them without having to ask or get the information sent to me when its all there on the site after the have uploaded it. Great way to simplify the billing and change order process from start to finish not to mention all the other things it can do for you

Overall: I use the app to do business with my customers who sign up for it and I am always invited to set up my end to take care of my customers when they sign on to do business with me on residential and commercial projects.

Overall a positive experience with BuilderTrend on hosting our construction website.

Pros: I like the ease of use in the content side of the website when it comes to updating the site with new pictures and media.

Cons: The "theme" or layout of the website could be a bit more modern, seems outdated compared to other websites. Would like to have themes that fit more with the times.

Overall: It is one of the main things that people see when they see us on our website online and it is a benefit to have BuilderTrend websites.

Comments: I really like the product, I would like to see more integrations with vendors and within like the calendars, warranties, etc.

Pros: The plethora of options - Almost the entire business and workflow can be done within the system. There is more than we even use.

Cons: The integrations with google calendar are poor. I have had to pay for a further integration. Finding parts of the job is really difficult. You have to look in multiple places or enter information in more than one place for the same job - i.e. the calendar is not synced with the job information. The proposal doesn't show up in the job information after its sold you have to go back to the lead.

Pros: It is very handy to use when out on a job site. It is easy to reference back to important documents, communicate with co-workers, and clients. Storage of photos and documents that I can access easily on my phone, anywhere.

Cons: The estimating component changed and it is more difficult for us to build out budgets than it used to be.
when Builder Trend is working on the actual site. Sometimes it runs slow or the site drops.

Pros: Feature rich Mobile app is packed with almost 100% usability compared to the website Good customer support

Cons: Not a lot of customization with the system but I think that is changing. Notifications seemed to be hit and miss.

Pros: Keeps tabs on the progress of all projects also tracks insurance certificates and expiration. provides great ease on bidding process and compares all bids on one platform.

Cons: Intigration with quickbooks is poor, does not intergrate estimates. also does not have a tab to record meeting minutes. as a commercial contractor we would also need AIA billing which is not provided by Buidertrend

Comments: Overall very good program. I am happy with most of the features and options available, would like to see a few more features integrated that I'm sure are yet to come.

Pros: Just recently began using buildertrend, I have been pleasantly surprised with the amount of features that are available. It works very well for our company. I am able to follow different departments of the company and how they interact with the customer.

Cons: Seamlessly switching between customers takes some time, as well as switching between tabs for the same customer. I would like a few more features in the ability to highlight customers based on certain criteria (ie. highlight customers who have not been contacted within the last week/month/period of time). I went through a struggle pulling customer information to a different program that did allow me to highlight customers based on different criteria.

Comments: Love the updates and the mobile functionality

Pros: The way that this software is set up makes it easy to keep everything in one place, and organized at the same time. This software is also pretty well priced compared to other similar types I've tried. The constant updates let me know this system is only getting better.

Overall: I was able to train everyone on this software fairly quickly. They all enjoyed all of the features I've shown them, and we're all finding new ones each day that are helpful. Our business focuses on customers and their experience, and this was the best software we could find to help execute that.

Pros: Invitations to bid are easy to see and organize either by client name, project, time to complete. Simple process to add a bid or RFI. Can even bid the number of days project will take to complete.

Cons: Once you have been awarded a project, seeing the Purchase Order is easy. Actually viewing the Purchase Order is a different story. More steps than it seems would be needed, to even view a PO you must download the file, give it a unique name then you can open it.

Comments: This is a good product, It takes time to learn, you have to invest time and use the software as often as possible. It is more information than what we need, but good for all size companies.

Pros: This software helps us get and stay organized with all onsite activities. Helps us in estimating and helps us with Change orders

Comments: It came down between this and ProCore. ProCore was way over priced and Buildertrend was the perfect blend. Would like if the CRM function would have been a bit more robust than we had originally anticipated.

Pros: customer service and user interface. Not a straghtforward jump right in experience. There was countless calls needed with Buildertrend and the Buildertrend fols seem to shoot from the hip based on what the client is calling about. So then we have two people who don't know what they dont know trying to feel their way around.

Cons: Not straightforward. Requires a lot of conference calls with Buildertrend Customer service. Would have liked it if there was more of an Apple/Mac like experience where there is no need for a customer service or manual to determine how to use the product. Buildertrend is the closest to user friendly than the others we tested.

Comments: Overall a great construction management package that is actively being updated and improved.

Pros: Buildertrend has a clean interface that provide a lot of information. There are many 'module' that enable a plethora of data to input.

Cons: Interface design feels outdated There is no support for other languages other than English so it is very restrictive for us as we would have preferred to enter data in Greek

Pros: The best part about Buildertrend has to be the customer portal it creates. This allows you to easily keep your clients involved in the entire construction process.

Cons: While the many tools available is great, sometimes it can be a little overwhelming. There is a little bit of a learning curve towards being able to fully utilize the software.

Cons: Its a vast system and the only support is online or via telephone. IF they had a CD or a book it would really be beneficial for training people. I strongly recommend having a tutorial booklet or CD. Also they should be able to customise training for each user in the organisation

Pros: The ability for the owner to see the home under construction. Daily logs, photos, schedule, once their loaded, you can oversee many more jobs. Our office can upload change orders and tag a Superintendent, a Superintendent can take a request on site, price, and an owner can execute a change order on site, a freebie confirming a verbal request or a extra. The office can order advance items by watching progress, speeding up build times. We upload all plans, shop drawings, permitting info, making the Superintendent much less reliant on sales/design/office explanations. Easy for owners to communicate questions, requests, and payments. We bought it for the owner interface and scheduling interface, and found it useful for so much more, Lead management, warranty, and mobility.

Cons: For it to be functional the entire team needs to utilize it. We had a few that didn¿t buy in, some were relying on it but not others, and that can be a headache. The schedule is harder than I would like for Superintendent to make changes. Large changes, should be done from the office on a desktop.

Comments: I had the pleasure of working with Anthony M. to onboard the BuilderTrend tool and incorporate it into our business. It is a process that is ongoing, but largely due to Anthony's efforts, our management team has made the determination to integrate this powerful tool into all facets of our construction management process in 2018.

Pros: The sleek look, expansive offering with integrated capabilities, landing page that will help showcase our website, and a high quality customer support system.

Cons: The inability to link a project with AIA documents which we utilize as part of the requsition process on our commercial jobs.

Comments: I would like to have it with only my brand, even if they had a separate fee for that option, it would be easy enough to do a white label platform,

Pros: Features on the app compared to others that I looked at, much more flexible and the purpose is to be mobile!

Cons: Everything have ¿Buildertrend ¿ on it, I would like my customers to see only my company name! It would bring a lot more value to me!

Comments: BT is so powerful... Instead of trying to bend the software to work for my business - I bent my business practices to work within the software structure.

Pros: easy to use 95% of what i need for my business intelligence I like how the software organizes it's major components into Sales/PM/Communications/Financial : beautiful

Cons: I would suggest they add additional tutorial videos to help us contractors with understanding not just how to use their software, but a bit of education on the task itself. ie; I may not know what an RFI is and when to use this feature in the program. And for me personally - some of the financial features were over my head. A quick explanation of terms, etc. would be helpful.

Pros: Amazing support - they will go above and beyond and even do your data entry for you - unheard of! The high tech integration and features are excellent - mobile app, allows all users to edit and upload photos. The scheduling features are super smart - it automatically adjust all future items if a current item is delayed, and it also keeps you from double booking vendors when you have multiple projects going on.

Cons: It is so fully featured that it's going to take some time for us to fully utilize every feature. Also, it is really designed for GCs and big construction companies who do estimates and have end user clients. We do fix and flips so it will also take some time for us to figure out the workflows for our unique business.

Comments: Excellent product, excellent support, I can really see this product more than paying for itself. Time will tell!

Pros: I can organise all my projects on the one piece of software and I can communicate with the Client, my staff and architect without having to do it 3 times. By setting up the programme of works through the calender, I can set reminders and plan when things need to be organised before I need them, resulting in less delays and more clarity for everyone.

Cons: I think the subcontractor/supplier interaction is clunky. Also Id like to set up material list templates for each element of a build but this function is not available.

Pros: This is a one stop shop construction project management. It has streamlined our financials, communication, and organization. This software allows us to be and appear much more professional and allows customers peace of mind as they are able to see their entire project in one place. It's like hiring three assistants for a fraction of the cost. Their customer service is some of the best I have ever experienced!

Cons: The biggest negative for us is that the app cannot function off line which really limits our ability to use Buildertrend to its full capability.

Comments: I love Buildertrend. I love that it is an all in one management tool for a construction business. I am better able to handle multiple jobs and be on schedule with is worth the price for sure. Not sure how well it would work with a larger company. For small companies, however, it is perfect.

Pros: This product has helped me out tons! It has the capability of managing basically all of my project needs. I love the interface, I love how it is set up and love the managerial tools it gives me.

Comments: GC's that are customer oriented should seriously consider.

Pros: Love the Daily Log and all the Mobile Application. Mobile is extremely powerful. We use it to record the weather as well since our work is temperature and humidity sensitive it is great to have this automatically popular as a matter of record. The Voice to text is great as well. We load our projects u with daily progress pictures and often refer back to them.

Cons: Pricing is perfect for Builders. The time frame allows you to bury the cost in the job. HOWEVER, if your a subcontractor it can very pricey if your projects are short duration. if you profit for installing carpet is 1000. You will eat up your profit with the monthly fee per project.

Comments: the customer rep has been an excellent coach, and if the rest of the Buildertrend coaches are as helpful and patient (as I¿m sure they are) you¿ll be in great hands.

Pros: A central hub for everything related to our projects. Eliminates double entry. Very intuitive, if you give it a chance.

Cons: I didn¿t find it sooner! Ideal for all types of projects, but maybe if there was an option for that one or two day project (without using up a job space). Maybe a project that¿s below a certain budget only counts as a 1/4 job? This may not make sense to a first time user, but the excellent customer service/tech guys may get where i¿m coming from.

Comments: I am testing the software on one of my projects now so my rating is still green but so far the software has been great minus the cons

Pros: Everything you need to manage and track a project all in one place. User friendly Easy to learn Great customer service

Cons: Photos added under files can not be transferred to a to-do without downloading the file on your device then redownloading onto Buildertrend under to-do. Needs mass clock ins for the foreman to clock multiple ppl in at once. The schedule is organized alphabetically when viewing a day. It should not be setup that way. It needs to let you prioritize it by what needs to be completed first then next. It would be better from a visual stand point.

Pros: Everything. This is one of the best thought-out application specifically for construction companies. It includes everything from tracking costs per job, creating approval reports of change orders, has its own client login for them to view all documents related to their project to what the construction company wants to share.

Cons: There were a couple snags with being able to share documents with ease and allowing easier access for the clients to review their files.

Overall: We've used this on one of our projects to test out the program and keep the client better up-to-date on the project. It only works as well as the user. The benefit is lost if the client doesn't care enough to login to review their files and documents. Luckily, the site supervisor was able to remotely access the documents needing approval to have them manually approved on-site.

Pros: I like how customizable builder trend is and how all inclusive it is. It truly is a one stop shop for all a person's project management needs.

Cons: Buildertrend advertises itself as a software where a person only has to input data once and it populates throughout. This is NOT the case. Also because it is so customizable it can be very difficult to navigate and use. It can be very hard to try to understand how the software developers intended information to be input into the program.

As a small builder I use Buildertrend for about 6 months now. It's a good software but too many issues.

Pros: Since we started using Buildertrend we have taken control of our business like we had not had previously. It is an amazing resource to keep all client info in one place, and the amount of time it saves daily is invaluable. There was an initial learning curve but we were assigned our Client Service Manager and he held my hand through it all. We started out with weekly, sometimes twice a week, meetings until I was up and running. Now I reach out to Anthony regularly with any questions that may come up. The system has been a lifesaver so far, and we are only utilizing a small percentage of it. Once I master one aspect I take on another and with each new function I am so thrilled. It if wasn't for Anthony, and the client support team, I would have been lost. To many times people are sold a product and once purchased, the customer support goes by the wayside, not with Buildertrend.

Cons: There were some issues with the functionality that did not fit with our business model. I expressed this to the support staff and he took my concerns to his developers to work on adding these items in the future. Primarily having the costs feed directly into the owner invoices. The system is set up for flat rate jobs but Anthony and I were able to come up with a work-around in the meantime.

Pros: What i love about the software is its ease of use, and ability to be accessed from multiple mobile devices (Android & IOS Tablet, Mobile phone, Windows PC) making communicating easier, simpler and on the go. This means not to worry about traveling multiple locations just to share project updates, photos and information with team. Just upload on the software and make it available for everyone to see. It not just a Electronic document storage platform, it has got scheduling features for project managers, and an email system to send and receive instant updates One of the best and versatile construction project management CPM software, I have come across.

Cons: I think the only con about this product is its price. Turns out to be a bit costly investment if the business does not have multiple large projects running throughout the year.

Pros: We can keep job details available for on site technicians. The details can also be made available to the homeowner and also subcontractors. Change order management is so much easier with the ability to submit and have the customer approve and pay for Change Orders. No more running papers around!

Cons: There are very few things not to like. So few I can't think of any at the moment. With any piece of software there are things not yet thought of and Builder Trend does continue to develop new features all the time.

Comments: All software programs require a learning curve. Buildertrend is extremely user-friendly. In addition, the support team is exemplary! They often go above and beyond when posed with a question as to how to handle an item. In particular, I just had a call with Anthony and it was amazing at how tuned in he was and how willing he was to "dig deep" to solve my issue. In the time I have used this system (close to 2 years), I have had only positive experiences!

Pros: I love that Buildertrend allows me to keep all information pertaining to a particular job in one place. In addition, here are just a few of the items I take full advantage of: 1. Change Orders 2. Selection Approval 3. Messaging 4. Payments 5. Documents related to job (quotes, orders, etc.) 6. Calendar 7. Lead Management 8. Lead Activities 9. To Do (especially the checklists!) The list could go on and on and on.

Cons: I write lots of notes in the To Do checklists. Sometimes I run out of room. There IS a workaround so this is not a dealbreaker. Not too many cons. It's all positive!

Comments: There are additional comments on the forum and with Derek (from a several months ago). The pain points we were trying to resolve were not resolved with BT. One pain point was dealing with project management. Sharing plans, having daily reports, seeing who is on the job, the calendar, having budgets in an easy, central place, etc. Those were addressed. We were also wanting a program to manage POs /contracts from PO to final payment -dealing with lien releases (all of them, progress, unconditional, final). Allowing for subs to progress bill and deal with change orders and retention. This was not better, in fact we are double entering data and having to extract to DocuSign to get what we need completed.

Pros: Project management. daily reports, calendar, to dos, bidding, having a budget, documents, mobile app, templates

Cons: all things financial - PO's, Lien Releases, integration with QB (need to have PO's and budget integrate), subs submitting an invoice (shouldn't be all or nothing), progress billing. Securing areas of use. Not getting a sub report (with custom columns so we can print a list for customers). Not having custom fields in the PO. not being able to remove former employees from the list (make inactive, like subs). reminders on the bell are always wrong or not relevant. Not able to have a change order directly associated with a PO so we can see the full value of the contract with changes. Managing retention. No PO approval process (internally route). Unable to get signatures on additional lien waivers. Time it takes to push from BT to QB - during billing there is a long delay. Constant circle of death. Unable to pull up vendor from a PO or add a new vendor from PO. With Bills and POs we should be able to select on that bill/po if we want it added to the budget / new expected. On the budget we should be able to select which columns are viewed.

Comments: This software has the best support experience I've ever had. I had an account rep on speed dial and it came with unlimited phone support.

Pros: The amount of information this software holds on any given job is incredible! The gant chart for scheduling jobs and the ability to view multiple jobs at once or break things out by job is awesome. Overall I really loved the idea of the software and wanted to love it in day to day use. Nothing else I found gives nearly the amount of detailed information and features in that price bracket. Also getting in touch with support was better than 98% of SAS softwares.

Cons: The interface is extremely outdated and clunky. The layers of pop up boxes make it slow and difficult to navigate through on desktop. The app was slow and difficult to load even in areas of great cell coverage. Overall it didn't work for our company because the cumbersome user experience made it so that it didn't save us any time. It could have been amazing but it just wasn't.

Pros: I liked the intuitive design and smooth function. It feels up to date with a nice modern style. The customer service rep was very eager to help us get everything running smoothly. I also really liked the calendar and scheduling function.

Cons: In the end, BuilderTrend didn't work well for my business. It wouldn't allow me to easily set up a database of products with set prices and select those into my purchase orders. Instead it operates best for a builder who bids out each job.

Pros: I like the fact that I can have several proposals under one project although it would be nice to approve more than one as the product only seems to allow one per lead.

Cons: For some reason when working on proposals you do not see the whole thing. You need to slide left and right or tab left/right to access all the features and to make adjustments. Is there anyway you can rectify this?

Pros: This program has a ton of features built in, from tracking leads to converting to jobs, to invoicing. Makes it convenient to not have to jump around to different programs at the various stages of a job.

Cons: It can get glitchy at times and run slow. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's annoying. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but because it has so many features, it's well worth it.

Overall: Almost all of the features we need in one system.

Pros: BuilderTrend has a lot of features. It covers a whole host of different applications from facilitating client communication to scheduling to tracking employee punch clocks.

Pros: BT has been the missing piece our company has been needing for a long time. We struggled with communication among employees and clients, now all conversations are right in one place for everyone to see. Not scattered between multiple employees emails or written on post-it notes. Having files accessible in the office or in the field has solved so many issues as well.

Cons: The PO system is "clunky". Too many layers and tabs and things to click. If you forgot to click something that can end up biting you later.

BT is a great way to gather all the data for building custom homes in one location

Pros: We like that it is a Central database for whole company and that it has the ability for client interaction.

Cons: Leads platform is almost useless to us in the way we run our business, but incredibly essential. Comments: BuilderTrend is an amazing product! It has completely transformed our business. We use the system every minute of every day and don't know how we lived without it. The ability to have all the information in one place and for our team to communicate with each other (and more importantly our customers) has relieved so much chaos in our business. Our customers say that we communicate well with them and they are well informed about their jobs. We do this through messaging, daily logs, and the calendar. In addition, having all these integrated parts helps us manage the jobs and keeps our team and our subs in the loop. Also, the functionality of the mobile apps has made communication so fast and easy.

Pros: Integration of all parts of the business from the quoting phase through to the selection process and now over to the ordering process.

Cons: Using the Purchase Order section is clunky for us. The system is set up for "labor" PO's with subs. We actually order and receive tangible products for our customers and have no easy way of tracking the order from order to payment to receipt of item. Would love to be able to customize this area to our own needs.

Pros: BuilderTrend Streamlines the business processes for CRM, Project Management, Accounting and Time Keeping. As an IT consultant, I have spent hours finding a solution, running demos with competitors, learning how they work and more importantly, how they don't work. BT's support is superb!! They answer all support calls within a few rings and provide answers to any issues encountered. They will help with implementation and hold your hand through the process. Your assigned trainer will share their calendar with you and you can easily pick a date and time to work with them to learn and be trained on features you are looking to implement. Accounting is a HUGE feature and it seamlessly integrates with QuickBooks Online. Any issues you have can be added to their portal and can ultimately be resolved by their Development team. I can't see why someone would operate their business without it!

Cons: When I first started with BuilderTrend, the CRM/Sales side had a few issues that support has already corrected. So, they listen and make favorable changes to any issues encountered.

With no experience in construction management software, Buildertrend is a great software to get started with and to continue as I learn more.

Comments: I like Buildertrend and plan to continue to use their program. From what I can tell, the development team is eager to work with you and is always trying to improve on the product.

Pros: It is a great introductory software into construction management. Overall, ease of use and quick to grasp with a little help from the support staff. The support staff has been incredible. They are very patient, understanding and truly listen to my questions and suggestions. When I can get the rep on the phone, she has been very helpful and delightful to work with. The pricing and the structure of pricing have made it to where a start up company can afford to get into this software.

Cons: One thing I have learned about construction software, is that there are not any that are all inclusive. there are several things I would like Buildertrend to include that fits well with me personally but that does not mean it is a con. I don't really have any cons.

Comments: BuilderTrend has been a fantastic addition to our business since we began using it last year. It has greatly enhanced our communication capabilities within our organization as well as our communications with our customers. The ability of our customers, employees and sub-contractors to have all the information they need at their fingertips has made a world of difference. I would highly recommend BuilderTrend to all construction companies seeking to take their business to the next level. I use this program everyday, whether I'm on the road or in the office. The mobile app has made it very convenient to work while on the road.

Pros: Being able to have our entire business function so well within 1 program from CRM and proposals to project management, communication and project financials this program does it all.

Cons: I know this program is designed for project management so most of the focus is on that side and it is helpful to have the CRM side to keep everything in one program. However, the CRM side is certainly the weaker side of the program. That being said, BuilderTrend is constantly improving their program and coming out with new updates so I anticipate the CRM side will continue to improve.

Comments: On the job side: aside from the jobsite menu and template menu, having a sub contractor/vendor menu would also be useful. On the individual jobsite information I have created many of my own custom fields. However, some that I have created, I would think should be standard for a construction CRM. BT only provides for one permit to be listed. We often have more than one for any one job, also having a "Permit Finalized" date field standard for each permit would be nice. And while you're at it, the issued date and expiration date of the permits would be some good information to have right there. Outside of not needing some of the features because we are only AC and Heating, I LOVE THIS PROGRAM. NOTE: on the next step of this review where it is asking how frequently it is used, the choices are odd in that its Once a day or week or month, I use it ALL day everyday. I find that several of the choices within BT are odd like that, but nonetheless, I still LOVE it.

Pros: This program really helps me stay on top of tasks and everyone else's tasks as well. It helps me meet deadlines and track everything.

Cons: Because our jobs are generally short in nature being an AC and Heating contractor only, its rare that our clients log in and take advantage of the software. The creating of templates in LEADS is not as straight forward as the rest of the program and not easily mastered by someone who has basic computer knowledge. Having to clear my history every day to ensure that I can view everything is annoying. Setting time in LEAD activities is a little weird. Not being able to set activities or calendared items on a 15 minute mark is annoying, sometimes it really is that pinpoint crucial to a job.
