April 14, 2018 5.0 Pros It's easy to use, intuitive, and flexible enough to allow me to do whatever I need to get the training done, and certificates issued. Simple interface for all roles. I've had no requests for assistance from corporate clients or users. They manage login and course navigation easily. They get their certificates without hiccups. I've never had to use customer support (that's why I have rated it 3-stars), and I think that illustrates how easy the platform is to use. Cons I have a potential problem with my clients being able to see other clients' courses in my catalog. Some of them are competitors in their industries. I haven't yet attempted to resolve this issue, so it might be that I've set up my catalog badly. Used the software for: ### "Very easy to use LMS requiring no prior experience" April 26, 2017 5.0 I've built a language learning product that contains several e-learning courses geared towards kids. After a lot of research, I decided to go with TalentLMS for: 1. Affordability for a small venture like mine 2. Rich set of features available I've been using TalentLMS for 2.5 years and it has grown a lot in terms of its features over that period. On the "I wish" side, there are 2 specific things that I can think of: Compatibility - They have built an iOS app but it doesn't support SCORM activities so the app is of no use in my case. I wish they add that support, which will be a huge value add for me. Efficiency - I create and release 3 courses every week. That workflow of adding courses can be possibly simplified. Currently it takes me several clicks to achieve it. Other than that it's a great LMS, with a wide set of features, super clean interface, very fast customer support and most importantly - affordable! May 22, 2017 5.0 I can reach a wider customer base that can not travel for training. I can quickly edit modules and add them to the curriculum. Ease of use allows me to spend less time putting courses online and more time with customers. Pros I have been and instructor & practitioner for a long time and used many LMS systems. TalentLMS really understands the process from both sides of the experience. It was super easy to setup and get going (0 html skills needed). Courses uploaded with no problems and they were easy to organize. I can't say enough. From the learner side of things, I found the interface intuitive and easy to navigate to find the courses. All around great experience. I even have clients wanting me to set up a system for them :) Cons I would like to see expanded payment options, but they have an API where you can hire a contract coder to write something up for this to happen. I used it to rollout a television production apprenticeship recently and I found the software to be pretty robust in terms of the quick ability to build content and how quickly you can deploy. I like the fact that you can respond to surveys with uploads, audio, video, or text. Cons If you want the ability to run oped ended questions where the tester responds in a narrative, you can't grade the test through the system. The answers have to be pre-baked so that the system can auto score. I can see how that feature is useful, but completely useless when there is more than one way to answer a question. It would be great if TalentLMS allowed the ability to grade tests manually if instructor-lead. CEO Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Scorm-compliant, flexible and robust LMS" December 17, 2020 5.0 We have managed to get the system set up to integrate our training programs with our application, and will continue to build deeper links with APIs, so I consider it a success. Pros We looked at more than a dozen LMS systems, and ultimately chose TalentLMS because of its flexibility, well documented APIs, and SSO capability. We're integrating training into our portal, so that users can access training modules on demand, and in response to user triggers in our system. So the ability to host our own domain, integrate SSO, and pass data back and forth with the LMS was key, along with scorm compliance. Cons Overall the system needs an Administrator UX overhaul. Navigating the ecosystem is complex and often confusing, with a number of workflows seeming to wind around through functions until you get lost. It's a very complex system, which is great, but it's not intuitive to navigate, and even with an experienced guide took some time to figure out. We decided to go with Talent LMS because the interface is clean but can be customized, to some extent. In an intuitive package that is so easy to use, you would think this is not complex at all. Either Talent LMS was made for me, or they just know what features I need and hide the others, until I am ready to discover or need them. Pros \- Branched logins - Timed lessons (forced) - Responsive - Student centered UIX - Pricing - Student apps and offline use Cons \- More advanced if/then options. Talent LMS has this covered more than most of the other LMS out there, but why can we not have an LMS that is more Leitner Flashcard based? If student fails a quiz, lesson or course, follow that student up until he gets it!! Send him follow ups until he gets it! Eg. if student fails question 3 in lesson 4 in course B. Send him follow up Z after 24 hours. And if he fails that too, send him follow up Y in 24 hours, and if he succeed in Z, send him Z in one week to make sure he have learned it. I have worked with Adobe Captivate Prime in the past. I told them their product was not ready for roll-out. I worked with Litmos LMS. Much better in pricing and features than Adobe. I have finally landed on TalentLMS which for me delivers more value for less costs. They have more branding and branching flexibility. I also prefer their pricing strategies. Simplicity - the user interface is really easy to use, both for Admin and for the Learner. It's clean and there are not too many options displayed so as to be confusing. Scalable - the reporting meets our needs, and we can set people up into different groups, roles, etc... Cost Effective - TalentLMS by far gives you the biggest ROI for your dollar. All the other solutions we looked at were a lot more expensive, and since we're a nonprofit we wanted to make sure we get the best balance between functionality and budget.
