August 21, 2019 4.0 We are using TalentLMS to pilot an online, video-based training system for community based clinicians. The software has proven to be a great fit for sharing information with our project participants. Pros As someone with little experience with LMS software programs, I have found Talent to be very user friendly. The program is fairly straightforward and easy to navigate, allowing us to customize courses based on our project-specific needs. Customer support is also SO helpful - I always get a response in less than 24 hours and the feedback is direct and easy to implement! Cons There are some functionalities that would be ideal for our research project that aren't possible using TalentLMS. The barriers we've run into are mostly display preferences, which is not a deal breaker for the purposes of our work. They were able to detect the actual problem and helped with fixing it. Pros It was very easy to set-up a new course. Upload of files works just fine. Navigation is easy. Overall I am very pleased with the piece of software. Supporting GDPR was essential for our decision. :-) Cons How can one easily distinguish between localized courses? Hoe can I use multiple categories and bundles for one and the same course? Mass-data handling could need some improvement. Support of XML-Import? Landing pages and the like would be nice. March 18, 2017 5.0 We hunted around for quite some time to find the right LMS for our purposes. We needed to be able to sell courses directly to the public but also to colleges so they could package our course with their courses. TalentLMS has enabled us to do this which wasn't possible with so many other platforms. Their service has been outstanding. We have never had to chase them for a response. We have been really pleased and we're so happy we discovered them. Pros The flexibility of the software and the customer service. Training Course support Used the software for: ### "The cleanest LMS interface around " September 13, 2014 5.0 When my company decided to offer online training courses for some of our clients, we began researching all options. We looked into adding WordPress to our website and considered embedding our Camtasia videos there, but the setup and add-ons were expensive and time consuming. So then we started researching already established online Learning Management Systems. Several were appealing, but seemed too complicated for what we needed. Others were just too expensive for what we wanted to begin with. At that time, Talent LMS was just established. We looked into it, watched the tutorial videos, emailed support with questions, and played around on the free version of the system . We decided to go with Talent LMS because the interface is clean but can be customized, to some extent. The videos are basic, but customer support is very responsive and even addresses suggestions for changes. The lowest level is free but even the next level up is reasonable - and the site allows for movement within the levels whenever the customer activity fluctuates. The setup is simple and the reports generated are sufficient, and can be shared with supervisors of the students. Overall, Talent LMS was just what we needed. There are a few cons, as in everything. The site is not American, so some of the spelling and syntax of the site comments are non-standard. The setup allows super-administrators to move around the site as administrators, instructors, or students. At times, it is difficult to remember which commands are under which role. A site map would be helpful in such cases. Overall, however, Talent LMS meets our needs without us having to reinvent the wheel - and we can then focus on our expertise to provide the trainings.
