### "Overall, a great experience with a new email provider"

May 19, 2026

4.0

I like the pricing, the options, the features that come with the small business tier. I also really enjoy the simplicity of creating an email from scratch and the extra design options I never got with other email providers. I like their templates, though some aspects can be difficult to edit if you don't outright remove the item and replace it with something else/start over in the area. Despite some difficulties in getting started, I consider it a learning curve and I'm very happy with everything once I got the hang of using it. Would definitely recommend.

Pros

I love the customer service and the ease of creating emails with the block builder. The operators were very helpful with getting our account verified and helping me navigate the rules, dashboard, and subscriber management. The block builder for creating emails from scratch is easy to use and has many features I enjoy. I also like some of their email template styles. They're good starters if you need a boost in creativity, but you're also welcome to just create one from scratch yourself.

Cons

The left-hand menu and contacts list. The menu is a little bulky, some things are not found where I expected them to be. Like wanting to delete non-subscribers simply by deleting a list but finding I needed to use one of many confusing filters or to delete by selecting them one at a time from contacts instead. The contact list vs. the automatically created lists can be confusing when I expected them all in one spot. I also didn't want to include any non-subscribers or "blocklisted" people to my contacts but that was automatically added when connected to our Shopify store. It had me concerned that they would charge extra or consider our tier limit exceeded because of the extra contacts that we essentially cannot use. In Shopify, I created our signup form, but when adding it to our page, it was set to the right - even though I chose "centered" and tried every other option for it as well, it always stayed at the right. At some point, I'll have to add some code to make sure it goes to the center of our page. It feels like an unnecessary step. Also, when first experimenting, the email template I tried out was somewhat difficult to edit. It had text over a photo and it was somewhat difficult to access each layer on the editor. It didn't allow me to change the photo size/shape so I had to create a new graphic just for the template.

Reason for choosing Brevo

Because of your pricing, customer service, and ability to get us started after a very shocking departure from MailChimp, especially when all the other services wouldn't accept us. We're very grateful to have a new home at Brevo and will not be leaving unless their rules change overnight, too.

After 11-12 years of using them, they dumped us overnight without any warning simply because Intuit acquisitions bought them & we are kratom vendors. Apparently, Inuit is not okay with kratom vendors and that was a shock and inconvenience. Brevo was kind, quick, and clear about accepting us and the rules. I appreciate that.

### "Unbeatable volume-based pricing and stellar transactional reliability."

June 11, 2026

5.0

We deploy Brevo across numerous client websites, and it has been an absolute game-changer. We initially brought clients on for its powerful transactional capabilities, but almost all of them have transitioned their newsletter marketing and automation sequences to Brevo as well. It is an incredibly robust, cost-effective, and dependable multi-channel platform that I highly recommend to any business or agency looking to scale without getting hit by massive contact-based price hikes.

Pros

What I love most about Brevo is its volume-based pricing structure and its flawless transactional email reliability. Unlike platforms like Mailchimp that bill you based on total contacts (and double-charge you for contacts on multiple lists), Brevo bills based on what you actually send. This saves my clients a massive amount of money as their lists grow. Furthermore, having marketing campaigns, transactional emails, SMS, and automation all living under one roof makes managing multiple client sites incredibly seamless.

Cons

The email template library and drag-and-drop editor can feel a bit rigid and clinical compared to some of the more design-focused competitors. While it is completely capable and reliable, it lacks some of the visual polish and ultra-smooth UI found elsewhere.

### "Brevo lies about pricing"

June 11, 2026

1.0

DON'T SIGN UP TO BREVO - My plan was changed from $250 a year to $983 per year because I had over 500 subscribers (I only have 2400 - it's not like I'm making any money from my mailing list). All the info I screen shotted on Brevo's own website said that the price would be no where near this high for my amount of subscribers. I sent out a newsletter and was then notified that my card had been charged the $700+ difference. They need to be honest and transparent about the fee from the start.

Pros

The platform is easy to use and seems to have everything you'd need, and the help chat was able to give me a refund when i left Brevo.

Cons

I signed up to the 'Standard' $22.50 a month plan (about $250 a year). I saw it said 'for 500 contacts'. So I looked up 'Brevo vs. Mailerlite' on Brevo's website, and they showed a table saying for 5000 contacts the Brevo plan is only $32 a month (and they said Mailerlite is $39). I thought, with 2000 contacts, that my monthly fee would be somewhere between the $22 and $32 a month, so I signed up. I spent a couple days moving everything over to Brevo, and sent out a newsletter, only to be charged $983 for my new 'upgrade'. What?! I had to ask for a refund. This is absolutely misleading - from $250 to $983 is ludicrous. There's no need to be so obtuse about pricing on the website.

### "Mailchimp's smarter, more efficient cousin!"

May 15, 2026

5.0

Great. Especially after pleasantly encountering a serious, Indian (did not expect in a predominantly European product!), helpful Senior Executive who understood my concern and had a soluion ready. Setting up was easy and using the product has been a good experience.

Pros

Perfect campaign tool for SMBs. Mailchimp but more economical, more efficient. A leap foward from the original Sendinblue product, feature packed and did I say economical?

Cons

Not a dealbreaker but the UI could be more premium, features less jam packed and more integrated with actual user workflow. The pricing page is confusing. When I see Rs. 625 in bold for a starter pack, I go to checkout page expecting to pay Rs. 625. But suddenly a calcualtion showing an unreasonable gap (1500 contacts -> directly 50,000 contacts) appears on the checkout page which sort of drains a person's intent to go ahead with the purchase! The >100% of the product subscription price tag for removing Brevo branding (Rs 750 -> Rs. 625) was somewhat surprising.

### "It has everything I was looking for at a great price"

May 29, 2026

5.0

Overall I'm really happy with the switch, I was using another platform that was very simple, which I liked but as my contact list was growing they were charging more and I wasn't monetizing on larger contact list so it was not worth to continue using it. I was able to recreate my templates and my automations in one day for the transition so it was not as painful as I thought it would be.

Pros

I really like the fact that you can have a lot of contacts and it won't cost more. Their automation is very robust, I was impressed with everything you can do with automations, it has all kind of triggers and the free plan doesn't seem to have a limit of the amount of steps you can use. I'm also using the chat widget, this was a really nice feature I didn't know they had when I was looking for email marketing platforms. I have reached out to support few times, their AI support is the best I've seen, you get email replies instantly and it was actually accurate, so I was very impressed as I don't usually get good experience with other AI bots. Customer support is also good and they respond fast.

Cons

Because they have a lot of features, the dashboard is also more complex and it takes a bit of learning curve. The dashboard is not as simple as other marketing platforms. The reports in the free plan are not good though, they are limited and difficult to navigate. One thing I didn't like is the templates are not as good as what I was used to use, the code behind is not great and it causes issues with buttons and mobile layouts.

### "Best Rust based Marketing/Transactional Email Platform out there!"

June 2, 2026

5.0

Overall, the platform has been a gem. I've wanted to be an ALL Rust programmer, and Brevo has helped me keep that pledge for my entire backend. The API and debugging with logs helped alleviate headaches and wasted time that I've encountered with many other platforms.

Pros

As a "Rust First" developer, I have found the documentation and ease of integration with my complex Rust E-Comm system second to none! The support has been next level and I have high praise for the API, the reasonable cost to utilize for small customers and everything has been so smooth; I couldn't have asked for a more complementary platform to recommend to all my customers.

Cons

Can't think of any, right now. I haven't utilized campaigns or automation yet, but I plan to implement in the next month or so.

My overall experience with Brevo has been fantastic. The tools are easy to set up for email management and marketing automation. On top of that, their customer experience team provides world-class service, making the entire user journey smooth and reliable.

Pros

### "Above and beyond support experience"

May 30, 2026

5.0

Surprisingly good, actually. Before contacting support I just viewed Brevo as any other service, but their support team being above and beyond was a game changer.

Pros

Customer support was not only really fast to respond to my question, but also gave me an implementation example and further pointed out that certain help articles that may seem to pertain to my issue are actually describing something different, so that clarification being offered up without me asking was great foresight on their part! Amazing! The user interface is clean and not convoluted like other platforms I’ve tried.

Cons

I really would prefer a Pay-As-You-Go subscription model rather than the flat monthly rate. It always feels like I’m over spending when I have to use a certain tier that I can’t fully use.

### "Practical and Easy to Use"

December 17, 2025

4.0

I am using Brevo for my company, Genius. I haven’t explored all of the platform’s features yet, but so far I’ve really liked how practical and easy to use the tool is for day-to-day operations.

Pros

What I liked most about Brevo is the balance between simplicity and functionality. The platform makes it easy to create email campaigns and basic automations without a steep learning curve, which is great for small teams and growing businesses. The pricing is also very attractive compared to other tools with similar features, and the email editor is intuitive and fast to use. Another strong point is the all-in-one approach, combining email marketing, automations, and contact management in a single platform, which helps centralize communication.

Cons

What I liked least about Brevo is that some advanced automation and segmentation features feel limited compared to more robust platforms. Although the base price is low, unlocking relatively simple features often requires paying for additional tools, which can increase the overall cost. For more complex customer journeys, workarounds or external integrations may be necessary, adding complexity as the business grows.

### "Reliable and Professional Email Platform with Excellent Support"

November 4, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Brevo has been excellent. The platform is reliable, easy to integrate, and performs consistently well for both transactional emails and newsletters. I also want to highlight their outstanding technical support — my account was once suspended due to bot abuse, but after implementing Turnstile to secure my forms, the team reviewed the case and reactivated my account very quickly. Their responsiveness and professionalism really make a difference.

Pros

I really like how reliable and easy to use Brevo is. I’ve used it as an SMTP server for several websites’ contact forms, and it has worked flawlessly. I’ve also helped a client set up mailing lists and manage newsletters through their Brevo subscription — both the form integration and the user management tools work smoothly. The platform feels stable, intuitive, and professional, which makes it a great choice for both developers and clients.

Cons

Honestly, there’s not much to dislike about Brevo. If anything, the interface can feel a bit slow at times when switching between sections, especially on accounts with a lot of contacts. But overall, it’s a minor issue compared to how well the platform performs.

### "Good value email marketing platform, but clean your list before sending"

May 15, 2026

4.0

We used Brevo for a Toyota dealership email campaign with a large imported contact list. The first campaign was suspended because our historical CRM/newsletter database contained many invalid and outdated email addresses. This was not entirely Brevo's fault, as the list had been collected over several years and required proper validation. After authenticating our sending domain, validating the email lists with an external verification tool, and removing invalid addresses, the campaign was sent successfully. Overall, Brevo worked well after the necessary setup and list cleaning. I would recommend it as a good value email marketing platform, but older contact databases should definitely be cleaned and verified before sending large campaigns.

Pros

Brevo offers good value for email marketing compared to larger competitors. The drag-and-drop editor was easy enough to use for creating a professional newsletter, and the pricing model worked well for our dealership campaign. After domain authentication and proper list cleaning, we were able to send our campaign successfully. The support team also provided useful deliverability details, such as hard bounce rates, bad MX addresses and role-based email issues.

Cons

Contact management can feel slow and clunky with larger lists. Bulk deletion and list cleanup are not as smooth as expected, and some parts of the import and field mapping workflow could be clearer. Our first large campaign was suspended because our imported database contained many outdated emails, and the reactivation process was stressful at first, although support eventually explained the issue clearly.

### "I believe it does send the emails"

February 20, 2026

5.0

It prevents me from having to manually email every individual on my list after they sign up. It costs significantly less than MailChimp at this point, they have increased their pricing and I want to save money. It also manages my SaaS password reset processes without requiring a lot of thought or effort from me.

Pros

It has email and SMS and push notifications all in one place, so I do not have to have a million different tabs open at the same time. The drag and drop builder did not even freeze during use which I was very surprised by. he automation flow design is simple enough that I was able to understand how to utilize them without getting a headache. I was glad that the emails actually made it to the inbox of the recipients and did not disappear into oblivion as with the last tool I used.

Cons

Why is the SMS credit system so convoluted and difficult to understand? I dislike that there are features on the mobile application that were missing from the website. Also, I dislike that the customer service team takes a long time to reply to an email and I had to wait a full day for a response to a basic question.

We have been using Brevo for more than a year and have seen quite a bit of improvement, especially in new feature development, and the customer support team is always helpful. Great experience.

### "Reliable all-in-one email platform with a developer-friendly API"

April 30, 2026

5.0

Overall my experience has been excellent. Brevo handles both my transactional emails and marketing newsletters reliably, and the setup was straightforward. It does exactly what I need without forcing me into an expensive plan, and the platform has been stable in daily production use. I would happily recommend it to other developers and small business owners.

Pros

Brevo offers great value for money — the free tier is generous enough to get started without any upfront cost, which is ideal for small businesses and side projects. The API is well-documented and easy to integrate; I had transactional emails working in my Spring Boot app within an hour. The admin interface is clean and intuitive, and the drag-and-drop template editor makes it simple to design good-looking marketing campaigns without writing HTML by hand. Having both transactional email and marketing campaigns under one roof is also a big plus.

Cons

Honestly, very few complaints. The dashboard can feel a bit slow to load at times - but its my internet speed, I think.

They ended the free account, but I am not using it so frequently.

### "Brevo - Fantastic for SME businesses that don't want all the complications of using an email marketing tool"

November 26, 2025

5.0

As per my comment in the Pros: section, everything has been super easy to use and set up so far and we're only using 30-40% of the system so it has great potential. Very happy with the system and great price point.

Pros

The system is easy to use, and user friendly, the price point is great for a small business and I've contacted support three times since signing up with questions about what I was doing wrong and every time I have messaged them, my problem has been resolved within 24hrs. Great service.

Cons

The only issue I had was not enough access to on-demand training with no live events immediately available.

### "Reliable transactional email service with a generous free tier"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, Brevo has been a valuable service for my business. I use it mainly for transactional emails from my online teaching platform, Good At English, and the free plan is currently enough for my daily needs. The SMTP service has improved the reliability of important emails compared with sending directly from my server. The logs are clear and helpful, especially when checking whether students, teachers, or admins received important notifications. I recently had an SMTP suspension issue, but after investigating the cause and explaining the fix, Brevo reactivated the account very quickly. That gave me confidence that their compliance/support team will review a case properly when clear information is provided. Overall, I would recommend Brevo for small businesses that need reliable transactional email and useful delivery logs, especially if they are starting with modest email volume.

Pros

Brevo’s free transactional email service is very useful for a small online teaching platform like mine. The 300 emails per day allowance is enough for my current needs, and it gives me room to grow without immediately needing a paid plan. The biggest benefit is email deliverability. Before using Brevo, important platform emails were less reliable, especially when sending to major providers such as Gmail and Hotmail/Outlook. Brevo has helped make class bookings, cancellations, reminders, password/OTP emails, and admin notifications much more dependable. The email logs are also very useful. I can quickly check whether a message was sent, delivered, opened, or rejected, which is important when running a live education website.

Cons

The main downside is that suspension messages could be clearer. When a transactional SMTP account is suspended, it can be stressful for a small business because important platform emails stop working immediately. In my case, I had to investigate the cause myself using server and Brevo logs before I understood what had happened. More detailed information about the triggering issue would make the process easier and faster.

### "Email marketing that doesn’t break the bank and fits a luxury brand."

April 17, 2026

5.0

I entered into the management of Brevo together with my billing duties at Kilarys and it was easier than I thought. The interface is not overcrowded and email control is straightforward and the price as compared to the normal price charged by similar sites made it an easy internal sell. We do not need a separate marketing staff, as it handles our sales and marketing communication.

Pros

The email editor is well-organized and the mailing is always of high quality. Brevo makes our communications look the part, in a jewelry brand where presentation is important.

Cons

There is inconsistency in spam filtering of incoming campaign analytics. There are some valid engagement data that is flagged strangely and that confuses me when I go through campaign performance that relates to billing.

### "Fully automating our language course enrollments."

March 26, 2026

5.0

It is one of our priorities to inform and engage our students. I can use this to manage our course announcements and promotion campaigns. It provides an exceptionally easy point of entry in education marketing, though the problems of deliverability need to be monitored at all times.

Pros

The functionality and user-friendly interface in terms of email handling are wonderful and our small teaching faculty was able to design and mail gorgeous monthly newsletters to our potential students in a very short time.

Cons

The overly aggressive spam filtering sometimes pushes our valid class schedules right to the junk mail folders of the students and even the advanced marketing and sales automation options are not worth the money when weighed against the slow response time of the customer care section, which is further complicated by the fact that the customer care department is very slow to reply.

### "Affordable marketing for our guest lists."

January 15, 2026

5.0

This tool offers you a very high performance for little money compared to most more expensive options. The platform that this software is located on handles our email marketing as long as it follows all local regulations; though it occasionally gets caught off-guard by a seemingly onerous compliance rule.

Pros

I liked that the program is fairly straightforward and user friendly. Spam blocking sometimes is too aggressive and blocks legitimate emails to our corporate clients.

Cons

Sometimes customer support takes too long to answer even simple account questions. We have to make sure the people get their booking confirmation and what we are offering on our new seasonal offers without spending a fortune on it, so we need an email delivery service.

### "A powerful and accessible email marketing platform with room for clearer contact management"

May 18, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Brevo has been positive. The platform offers good value for money and provides many useful features for email marketing, sales communication, and automation. The email campaign creation process is straightforward, and the tools are powerful enough for professional use. However, I think the user experience could be improved when it comes to explaining recipient filtering, contact status, and deliverability rules. More detailed and visible explanations would help users understand why some contacts are excluded from a campaign. Despite this, Brevo remains a reliable and efficient solution for managing email communication and marketing campaigns.

Pros

Brevo is a complete and accessible platform for managing email campaigns. I appreciate the clear interface, the contact list management, the campaign editor, and the ability to centralize marketing emails, transactional emails, and automation in one tool. The platform is quite easy to use, even for users who are not email marketing specialists.

Cons

Some parts of the platform could be clearer, especially when managing contact lists and campaign recipients. For example, the difference between imported contacts, eligible recipients, blacklisted contacts, unsubscribed contacts, and filtered contacts is not always immediately obvious. When a campaign shows fewer recipients than expected, it can be difficult to quickly understand why.
