## Overview of Brevo pricing

Brevo is a popular CRM and email marketing platform that also earned a spot in our [2024 Capterra Shortlist for Marketing Automation](https://www.capterra.com/marketing-automation-software/shortlist/?year=2024). It provides multiple ways for businesses to reach out to customers and leads, including email, SMS, and push notifications. Brevo’s contact management features can pull data from multiple sources, combining them into a unified customer database.

Brevo offers four pricing tiers: Free, Starter, Business, and Enterprise. The Free plan allows small businesses to get started with email marketing by sending a small amount of messages per day. All paid tiers remove the daily sending limit, and the Business and Enterprise plans provide more advanced features like marketing automation and A/B testing. In all of Brevo’s price tiers, you can purchase additional email credits or SMS campaigns. Here’s a detailed look at each pricing plan:

## Cost breakdown

Brevo’s multi-tiered pricing structure ensures businesses of all sizes can find a plan that meets their needs and budget. Small businesses can start with the Free tier, which is surprisingly capable for companies that only need basic email marketing. As a company grows, it can upgrade to a paid plan and take advantage of advanced features like predictive sending.

### Starting price

The Brevo Free plan allows businesses to send up to 300 emails per day. Emails are created with templates which can be customized with a drag-and-drop editor. SMS and WhatsApp campaigns are available to companies in all pricing tiers, including the Free plan. However, these features are an add-on in all tiers, with 1,000 SMS and WhatsApp messages costing $31.59 monthly in the United States and Canada.

The Starter plan removes the daily email-sending limit, although it does introduce a cap of 5,000 monthly emails. This tier adds basic reporting and analytics and costs $9 per month, which is $108 annually. However, if you pay for a year upfront, the cost drops to $96.96, which averages out to $8.08 per month.

The Business tier adds marketing automation, AI-assisted predictive sending, A/B testing, landing pages, and advanced statistics. This plan costs $18 per month or $216 per year. If you pay yearly, the price drops to $194.04, or $16.17 per month.

Brevo’s Enterprise plan is aimed at the largest of businesses that need custom features. Pricing for this tier is not publicly listed, as it’s tailored to each company.

In all plans except the Free tier, you can purchase email credits to surpass the 5,000 monthly sending limit. Credits for 10,000 monthly emails cost $59. Removing Brevo branding from emails costs $10.80 per month, and a dedicated IP address for your emails costs $251 per year.

### Billing options

Brevo customers can choose to pay on a monthly or an annual basis. This flexibility allows businesses to stay within their budgets and preferred payment schedules.

The annual payment option represents a cost-saving opportunity. Compared to paying the monthly fee over the course of a year, the annual payment provides a 10% discount.

However, some businesses prefer monthly payments. Even though they will pay 10% more in a 12-month period, monthly payments are smaller. In addition, paying month-to-month is less of a commitment, as the subscription can be canceled anytime.

Keep in mind that these figures only represent the base subscription price. Brevo add-ons like SMS and WhatsApp messages are purchased on an as-needed basis, and there are no discounts available.

### Feature differentiation

The Brevo Free plan includes the essential CRM and email marketing features for small businesses. The other price tiers add extra features and support for add-ons that growing companies and larger businesses might use.

- **Email sending limits**: The Brevo free plan allows businesses to send up to 300 emails per day. All other pricing tiers increase the sending limit to 5,000 emails per month. For all plans, you can purchase email credits if you need to go past the daily or monthly limit.

- **Reporting and analytics**: Brevo’s Free tier lacks reporting features, but the Starter plan provides basic analytics. The Business and Enterprise plans add more reporting features and advanced statistics.

- **Marketing automation**: The Business and Enterprise plans have features that automatically build email campaigns and send messages to your contacts.

- **Add-ons**: Brevo’s paid plans support add-ons that add extra capabilities. The Starter plan is eligible for add-ons that allow you to remove the Brevo logo, purchase email credits, and buy dedicated IP addresses. The Business tier supports additional add-ons like landing pages, push notifications, and SMS and WhatsApp campaigns.

## What users say about Brevo pricing

We analyzed more than 1,000 reviews from verified Brevo users posted to our website over the last two years so that we can understand what customers think about the software’s pricing.

Our analysis reveals mixed opinions about Brevo’s pricing. Overall, users feel that Brevo offers competitive pricing thanks to its free version and affordable paid plans. Many appreciate the value for money Brevo offers, especially small businesses. However, users from specific regions or with larger contact lists find the costs high.

Brevo’s free plan is highly valued for its ability to send up to 300 emails daily, which many find generous. The Free tier is seen as a great starting point for small businesses, although some users wish it had more advanced features.

Thanks to its flexible pricing plans, Brevo is generally considered more affordable than competitors. However, some users find the feature set on lower pricing tiers restrictive. They note that advanced features like removing the Brego logo require the purchase of add-ons. Overall, though, most Brevo users praise the software for its affordability and flexible, modular pricing approach.

## Detailed breakdown of Brevo pricing plans

### Free plan

**Ideal for**: Small businesses or solo entrepreneurs who want to get started with email marketing and CRM.

Brevo’s free plan is full-featured, as it provides all of the software’s core features. Its primary limitation is in the amount of emails you can send. Whereas all Brevo paid plans allow you to send 5,000 emails per month before you need to purchase additional credits, the Free tier limits you to 300 emails per day. However, that is a relatively large volume of emails for many small businesses or individuals like freelancers and consultants. Even slightly larger companies can start with the Free plan to try Brevo since they can upgrade to a paid tier at any time.

**Free plan features**[\[2\]](#footnotes):

- **Email campaigns**: Brevo’s Free plan supports email campaigns for up to 2,000 contacts, with a limit of 300 emails per day.

## Total cost of ownership

As you evaluate Brevo and its pricing tiers, it’s necessary to consider more than the monthly or yearly subscription costs. While Brevo offers a feature-rich free version and the monthly subscriptions are generally affordable, some features are only available via the purchase of add-ons. In addition, you might need additional personnel to manage Brevo or get the most out of it. Here’s a look at what you need to know about Brevo’s total cost of ownership.

### Upfront costs

Upfront costs are the initial expenses you pay when you purchase software or start a subscription plan. Typical software upfront costs include licensing, hardware such as servers and storage units, implementation expenses, customizations, and training.

As a cloud-based platform, Brevo doesn’t require the purchase of hardware, and licensing is included in the subscription fee. The upfront costs, which are the monthly or annual subscription price plus the cost of any purchased add-ons, are clearly visible on the Brevo website. However, the Enterprise tier requires a custom price quote so upfront costs can vary with this plan.

### Additional costs to consider

When evaluating Brevo, be sure to consider any additional costs your company might incur in the course of implementing and using the software. This includes:

- **Add-ons:** Some Brevo features are only available when you purchase add-ons, which are not included in the base subscription price. These include sending more than 5,000 emails in any given month or removing the Brevo logo from email messages.

- **Support plans**: While Brevio’s free version is very capable, it only offers self-help options such as the online knowledge base. To get email support, you must upgrade to the Starter plan, and phone support requires the Business plan.

- **Training expenses**: Although many Brevo users report the software is very easy to use, some training might be required for the advanced features. Consider training expenses in your implementation plan, either with internal or external resources.

- **Customizations**: All Brevo plans support some level of customization, with each higher tier offering more than the last. Keep in mind the hours your team might spend on this work or any outside expenses you might incur when customizing your email messages.

#### Services needed to implement or manage the platform

The Brevo knowledge base is comprehensive in scope but still easy to read and comprehend. There’s also a Brevo YouTube channel with several videos to help you get started. Since the software runs in the cloud, most companies will not require any specific hardware to implement or manage the Brevo platform.

Another advantage of cloud-based software is that Brevo manages all updates and maintenance. Most businesses won’t experience any downtime, as Brevo takes care of all the behind-the-scenes work to keep the app up and running. This means little to no IT involvement is required for day-to-day application management.

#### Internal resources needed for ongoing platform management

Multiple internal resources might be required to help manage Brevo over the long term, depending on which plan you subscribe to and how you use the software. Consider assigning some of these roles to ensure your company properly manages Brevo and gets the most out of it:

- **Brevo administrator**: A Brevo admin manages users, assigns roles and permissions, and performs general troubleshooting duties. They can be members of your marketing team or your IT group.

- **Marketing specialists**: For maximum effectiveness, email campaigns like those you develop with Brevo require knowledge and expertise in marketing. Your team’s marketing experts should be Brevo’s primary users.

- **Graphic designer**: Since email templates can be customized, an experienced graphic designer can shape your emails to represent your company’s brand and messaging.

- **Data analyst or report writer**: If you have a Brevo plan with analytics and reporting features, a dedicated data analyst or report writer should manage these functions.

- **Training coordinator**: An internal resource with training experience to onboard new Brevo users and ensure familiarity with the software’s features.

## How to choose the right Brevo pricing plan

Selecting the right Brevo pricing plan requires careful consideration of your business needs, marketing goals, software budget, and more. Here’s how to make an informed decision about which Brevo tier you need.

_Key considerations while choosing the right Brevo plan_

- **Assess your business needs**: The first step toward finding the right Brevo pricing plan is defining what your company needs from email marketing and CRM software. For example, if you run a small business, the Free plan’s limit of 300 emails per day may be more than you need. The Free and Starter plans support up to 2,000 contacts, which is likely sufficient for many SMBs. Think of the audience you hope to reach and what level of customization you want.

- **Consider your budget**: Ultimately, selecting a Brevo pricing plan is a matter of balancing the features you require against your software budget. Fortunately, Brevo’s subscription prices are all relatively affordable. However, keep in mind that some features require the purchase of add-ons or additional email credits, which adds more to the total cost of ownership.

- **Compare the features offered in each plan**: After you assess your business requirements and marketing goals, examine the feature set of each Brevo pricing plan. Each tier is geared toward different needs or business types. For example, the Free tier lets small businesses start with email marketing and CRM, while the Starter plan is ideal for growing companies. Brevo says its most popular plan is the Business tier, as it offers a broader range of features that will meet many businesses needs.

## How to maximize the value of your Brevo subscription

Maximizing your investment in Brevo requires making use of all the features available in the software and utilizing the resources available to you. Here are a few ways to get the most out of your Brevo subscription:

_Ways to maximize the value of your Brevo subscription_

### Utilize all the features

Even in its free version, Brevo offers a comprehensive feature set. At any pricing tier, you get email campaigns, a drag-and-drop editor, SMS marketing capabilities, personalization options, and much more. For each feature you use, you get more value out of Brevo. Spend some time getting to know its capabilities and plan to use as many of the features as possible.

### Leverage customer support and available resources

All of Brevo’s paid plans provide some level of support, whether 24/7 email or phone support in the higher tiers. Since you’re paying for this support, use it when you have questions or need help troubleshooting. In addition, self-help resources like the knowledge base and tutorial videos can help you gain new skills and master advanced features.

### Additional tips for getting the most out of your Brevo plan

- Train all team members who will use Brevo or contribute to your email marketing plans.

- To share your brand voice, customize the email templates to match your company’s logo, color schemes, and other design elements.

- Utilize the reporting and analytics features to gauge how well your campaigns perform.

- If included in your price plan, you can use the A/B testing feature to determine which messages or campaigns perform well with your target audience.

Advanced features like A/B testing and landing page builder add value to email campaigns and help companies reach their target audiences.

### Customer support options

Brevo offers varying levels of support depending on the pricing tier:

- **Free plan**: No official support plans are available in the Free tier, although users have access to the detailed knowledge base and helpful tutorials on Brevo’s YouTube channel.

- **Starter plan**: The Brevo Starter plan offers 24/7 email support in addition to the online resources included in the Free tier.

- **Business plan**: Business plan users gain access to phone support.

## Is Brevo right for you?

### Assessing your requirements

Determining whether Brevo is the right software for your organization involves addressing your requirements and comparing them to what Brevo’s various pricing tiers offer. Here are some factors to consider:

- **Your need for email marketing**: Brevo is a CRM tool with a heavy focus on email marketing. While most businesses can benefit from this form of customer outreach, others might be better served by other software. For example, e-commerce businesses typically use email campaigns to promote sales or encourage website visits. Consider if your business needs the functionality Brevo offers.

- **Implementation resources**: While Brevo is easy to use, you might need a training coordinator to ensure your company's employees know how to use it. You will also need personnel experienced with email marketing to get the most out of the software, which might require external training.

- **Budget considerations**: Although Brevo offers a full-featured free version and affordable paid plans, some small businesses may have an extremely limited software budget. Evaluate your organization’s ability to pay for Brevo on an ongoing basis, considering the cost of sending extra emails per month and other add-ons.

- **Customization needs**: Brevo provides email templates your business can customize before sending. However, this may require staff experienced with graphic design to produce attractive-looking email messages.

### Alternatives to Brevo

Brevo has earned an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5 from users. But how does its pricing compare to that of other CRM and email marketing software?

In the category of value for money, Brevo has an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. That puts it ahead of many of the popular alternatives. For example, **HubSpot Marketing Hub** has an average value-for-money rating of 4.2. This lower score reflects the limitations of HubSpot Marketing Hub’s free tier and how its paid plans range from $15 per user per month (billed annually) up to $800 for three users per month on its Professional plan. **Constant Contact** is next with a 4.1 rating, and pricing ranging from $12 to  $80 per user per month. Meanwhile, **Marketo Engage** has only a 3.8 rating; its pricing information is not publicly available. Next, **Omnisend** equals Brevo with a 4.5 rating, as it has a capable free version and prices ranging from $16 to $59 per user per month. Finally, **Pipedrive** has a 4.4 rating, with pricing starting at $14 per user per month (billed annually) and going up to $99 per user per month for its highest tier.

Each of these alternatives has unique features you might want to consider:

**HubSpot Marketing Hub** is an all-in-one digital marketing platform that has earned a 4.5 out of 5 average overall rating from verified users on Capterra. This rating reflects user satisfaction with the software’s comprehensive feature set, which includes reporting, lead segmentation, lead verification, landing pages, and more.

**Constant Contact** is a digital marketing suite with an average overall rating of 4.3 out of 5 on Capterra. In addition to the standard email marketing features, Brevo offers comprehensive CRM features, including engagement tracking, conversion tracking, and drip campaigns. However, it has lower ratings than Brevo in the ease of use and value for money categories, likely due to Brevo’s capable free version.

**Omnisend** is an email marketing platform noted for its omnichannel capabilities. Verified users on Capterra have given Omniosend an overall average rating of 4.7 out of 5, largely based on its ease of use. Omnisend’s capabilities include lead management, ROI tracking, segmentation, sales analytics, and other advanced marketing features. A free demo is available, but there is no equivalent to Brevo’s free tier.

**Marketo Engage** is an email marketing platform from Adobe that focuses on eye-catching designs. Verified Marketo Engage users on Capterra have given it an overall average rating of 4.3 out of 5. The app offers advanced marketing features like campaign scheduling, event-triggered analytics, and a robust analytics module. Unlike Brevo, however, there is no free version to allow users to try it out.

**Pipedrive** is digital marketing software aimed at e-commerce business owners. On Capterra, Pipedrive has garnered a 4.5 out of 5 overall average rating from verified users, reflecting their satisfaction with the software’s comprehensive features. Pipedrive offers AI-powered website chatbots, human-based live chat, and multi-language support, among other features. While it doesn’t have a free version, there is a free trial to try Pipedrive before buying.

### Making the final decision

Brevo is an affordable and flexible CRM and email marketing tool with various pricing plans to suit businesses of all types and sizes. With a solid 4.5 out of 5 rating for value for money, users see Brevo as highly capable software at all price tiers. Even its free version supports campaigns with customized email messages and a high daily sending limit, among other key features.

The Free tier will work well for very small companies or one-person operations such as consultants or freelancers. As a business grows or its needs change, the Starter and Business plans allow sending more emails while adding more customization options and support plans. The Business plan, in particular, offers high-end features like marketing automation and landing pages, making Brevo a well-rounded digital marketing tool.

Ultimately, selecting the right Brevo plan involves assessing your business needs, evaluating your software budget, and finding the right balance of price and features. The Brevo Free tier provides a good point of entry, as it allows you to try out the software with few limitations and then choose the pricing plan that makes the most sense for your organization.
