We needed customer support before we could send our first campaign. The issue was dealt with extremely timely meaning we could carry on with the task we had started. Pros We have only just started using Brevo following a bad experience with Mailchimp. We asked for help following the authentication of both our domains. After asking for support via the platform, we were contacted within the hour and the issue resolved, meaning we could very quickly continue with our first campaign on this platform. Cons We have only just started using Brevo and have not had chance to see if there are any Cons. As we have a considerable number of existing customers and leads, the amount of emails we can send, being 300, may be a little restrictive for us. we may need to look at upgrading to a subscription in the future, see how it goes. Brevo is perfect for my needs, and never tries to hit me with hidden fees for using their services. Pros I'm new to SMS marketing and purchased some credits to try it out. There's a lot to it that I wasn't aware about. But Brevo support reached out to me without my asking and began walking me through the process. I appreciated Brevo being proactive! Cons There was nothing that stood out that I didn't like about Brevo's support team. One small downside: I’m on a free plan, and I was briefly blocked because I sent too many emails at once as a new customer. " January 22, 2025 5.0 I've used Active Campaign and Mail chimp in the past (Don't recommend Constant Contact because they stay true to their name and will be constantly contact and calling you like they're a debt collector!!!) So far I like Brevo the most out of the other four I've mentioned! It's easy to use and good for the money! Pros So much versatility and just for the free plan!! Cons What I don't think is cool is we can't rename list attributes! My company sells to mainly schools and counties and I should have named it County or School, but I didn't. So now that I've imported over 2,000 contacts, I realized I should have done that and was sad to see you can't change it. They helped get a static IP acquired and helped with our initial campaigns so we would raise our reliability score. Pros Pricing is based on email usage and not number of contacts. We want to GROW our business which means growing our contacts -- with other email marketing platforms, that becomes very expensive quickly. Cons Seems the deliverability rates can be spotty. Cons They just kept our account suspended for over 11 hours, with no reply to our messages to support. That’s 11 hours of our entire customer base left without functional email services. This is not how business is done. Unacceptable. If you are looking for a reliable email partner, look elsewhere.
