After a few years of absence in ecommerce, I needed a new SMTP server setup again and naturally seeked out the same service I used and liked. I then found that they changed brands to Brevo and was very surprised to see that the service offereing is even bigger and better than before. Pros The easy setup and generous free tier for SMTP email sending campaigns is best in class, in my opinion. They also provide all the functionality needed to run successful marketing campaigns as well as transactional emails. In addition to emails, you can also engage with contacts via SMS and chat. Cons This may sound artificial, but I sincerely have not yet found anything about using Brevo for my current needs, that I could do better with outher email tools. I understand the need to ensure email quality - but refusing to work with a client in any way is a horrible practice. It shows me that even if we had been a client for months, years, or since their inception (without any reason shared with us) that we could just be cut off and shunned. Pros Brevo appeared to have all the features we wanted Cons Brevo blocked us within hours of using the service without much of any notice sent to our administrator. They reviewed our email content with scrutiny and sent us screen shots asking what the intent of a specific email - which clearly based on its headers were sent to us and forwarded to a gmail account for a particular user. We also host an addiction recovery client whose emails may contain private and sometimes descriptive information about an addiction - we were also asked about those emails. Le support ( service client ) est très réactif et toujours à m'écoute. Cons Pas vraiment de soucis , mais plusieurs problèmes lors de gros envois, certains numéros sont blacklistés. Pros I have been using this service since 9 months now and trust me I have very habituated to it now. We have got suggestions to shift to MailChimp, we tried it, still came back to Sendinblue. Because we are comfortable already and do not want any adventure. The best feature I love about is even beginners can save the templates and for their monthly/ weekly subscribers. It is a must have tool for everyone. Currently my team is using their 'Lite' plan which will cost as low as 1500/m and provide you with unlimited sends that too daily, Isn't it awesome. Cons Well it just serve its purpose finely, but I still expect them to provide templates to be embedded directly into websites. Now, I encounter nothing but bugs every time I try to update the automations, forms, or anything else following their new upgrades.
