This is way more than most small businesses will use in a day. I average 5 a day. So the fact they let you set up free and secure SMTP emails for your website is incredible. I appreciate their WordPress integration and the ability to set up test emails through servers such as Plesk. I switched from shared hosting that uses phpmail to a better hosting on Plesk, but I wasn't receiving emails for months because nobody at my hosting company told me that I had to set it up on my own. Lo and behold I figured it out, and several articles and plugins recommended Sendinblue. I was reluctant to try it, but when I saw their free option I decided to go for it. I'm glad I did. Now that it's set up, it's working perfectly, and my contact form and other services on the site, such as sales emails, are working as they should. Such a great service. Cons I can't think of much I dislike about it. It was a bit tricky to set-up the first time, but I followed their guides and got it done. E-mails can have multiple columns with separate buttons for each column, background images for the entire e-mail or just a section of the message as well as the possibility to divide the e-mail into sections with different background colors. As a designer, this allowed me to create truly attractive and engaging e-mail campaigns for my company – and to make sure they were equally legible and compelling on mobile. Cons It would be useful to be able set different default font colors for different e-mail sections. If the default font color for the email is black and I want to use a dark background for a section of the e-mail, I keep having to change the text color for each text field in this section. It would be useful to be able to define text colors for light vs. dark background for the entire e-mail, so I don't have to do it for each individual text field. Dark mode-customization is currently missing. I would like to be able to check how our e-mails read when a user is browsing e-mails in dark-mode, and to make certain color changes to ensure legibility whenever dark mode is in use. " March 29, 2019 1.0 This is the worst and most deceptive company I've ever experienced in the email marketing world. I have multiple online eCommerce businesses and I decided to try moving one over to SendInBlue from Mailchimp. I have a very clean and legitimate list of contacts (14500+) that was all organically gathered directly through my website, many of which are actual past customers with purchases! I was "approved", so I purchased their plan, and sent out my first campaign. This "approval" means absolutely NOTHING! My campaign stopped at 500 sends (yours will too) and if you don't meet their 12-15% open rate within 36 hours, they will steal your subscription money, and suspend you from being able to send, period. They do not tell you ANY of this beforehand, and they do this intentionally so that they can steal your first months subscription money! This is legitimately their business model. In order to actually USE their "service" (which is nothing at this point) you have to go through a lengthy and EXPENSIVE process of setting up your very own dedicated IP! What's the POINT? Disgusting. They're the most crooked and irrational company I've came across in a long time. I understand wanting to protect your IP's dignity, but you're throwing away and robbing the WRONG customer here. I have a fabulous open rate verifiable by MailChimp, with abundant evidence of such. I gave them MANY opportunities to correct this issue before seeking further action, and leaving appropriate reviews. Pros Absolutely none. It's a useless company that lies and withholds all of it's requirements and practices, and will result in most people being completely unable to use it even with beautiful, clean, legitimate large lists. (Especially those with large lists) Cons Deceptive practices. Lies. Required 15% open rate on the first 500 email sent within 36 hours. (Any large list won't get that rate) They do NOT send to your whole list, only to a random 500. Then most emails end up in the spam folder. They shut you down after 36 hours if you don't reach their open rate requirement , steal your first months payment, and make you unable to use their features. The ONLY solution is to purchase a dedicated and complicated IP, this is a lying, deceptive company and the price does NOT accurately reflect anything. Nobody with any sort of larger sized legitimate eCommerce mailing list will be able to use their service. But they'll be happy to take your money so you can find that out! You get a representative who is attached to your account and works With you closely to help with all deliverability agendas. Cons Their customer support. Their customer support is pretty bad and one the worst issues I face. They operate only during specific times during the week, which may often not work well even for companies those who are based on the US. Secondly, it seems like they're always flooded with calls so you can't get to them on the first call, almost always. Then on top of that they don't return your calls when they're unavailable. Love being able to add as many contact columns as we need to and customize the email with names, etc. Looks sleek and aesthetically better than a lot of the other platforms like constant contact. Cons There isn't much to not like so far. Any concerns or issues I had before was solved over time. One example: I wasn't able to use GIFs in the emails before and now I can. The only other downside is one that I know they had to follow was protecting open rates of recipients due to privacy crackdowns. Pros The positives do not out weight the negatives Cons Biggest disadvantages are: SendinBlue has built a black box that has a life of its own. The system blocks us after almost every sending. Because the system finds the CTR too low or because we add new addresses of newsletter subscribers. Very strange because that is the intention of the system. Often certain functionalities do not work and the first line helpdesk cannot solve it. Then it takes days for technical support to resolve it. Clickable buttons do not work in certain email platforms (e.g. Gmail). If you are considering it, take a dedicated IP address, otherwise you will go crazy with this system. The setup was easy and quick. The reports helped in visualizing the deliverability. The after sales technical support is awesome, with most queries answered withing twelve hours. Cons No sure if it's a con, but master password cannot be read once hidden. In this scenario, if we have configured several applications/devices to use the same login credentials, and we decide to add a new device/application, if we have forgotten the password, new passwords have to be generated and all other devices/applications would have to be reconfigured. So, make sure the password is kept in a safe place. Reason for choosing Brevo Sendinblue offered easy and quick setup without jumping through a lot of hoops. You can start from free and can only upgrade when your audience grows. Pros This Email Service Provider is my favorite one. When I discovered about this I was able to like the functionality of this tool. The easy usage, how it works, how the app is designed for easy usage. Everything is great especially for beginners who wanted to apply email marketing on their websites. SendInBlue also has this pay as you go scheme so poeple who has limited audience can only purchase or take action depending on their need. Cons So far what I don't like is how a form is designed. Just based on my perspective of designs. I hope there are other options on how to design a form that will look like more professional. The output is so big at times and so hard to adjust on websites especially if websites are designed for mobile friendly. Also I hope there is an option for adding a button then when the button is clicked will popup the form. So far it's all about the design embedded on a website is what I don't like.
