HR Manager Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "It's easy to learn" April 20, 2018 4.0 Something that would be super helpful is to add the ability to filter reports before you run them. Right now it spits out an Excel spreadsheet and then you have to manually delete the rows you don't need. Pros I like that it's a one-stop-shop for HR professionals. Employees onboard themselves and make sure that all the information is correct. As an employee I like the site a lot. As an admin there are some fixes that need to be made but otherwise I enjoy using it. Cons It's difficult to navigate to figure out which pages you need. For example, I've tried to find where our paperwork and docs like the handbook are uploaded and I can't find it. I'd like to be able to use it as a repository but I can't find out where I can upload new things. Review Source AG Adam G. Pros It's been incredibly helpful to have a consolidated platform for onboarding, HR, benefits, time tracking, payroll, etc. Cons It would be great if there was a 401k offering that was provided by Zenefits. Pros Easy to maneuver between modules. Fully integrated hiring, onboarding and payroll. Good online help allows me to get most answers I need. Quick response to questions or issues. Seamless transition of our benefit plans into Zenefits and better offerings than we had before. Payroll and PTO are the biggest bargains. Cons No real weakness noted. We have a small number of hourly employees that I would like to use the time reporting, but not cost justified at this time so we have to input hours worked for each employee first into a spreadsheet and then into Zenefits payroll. Combination of onboarding, secure document storage, optional payroll, time tracking, health insurance/HSA and other modules. Lots of features for a reasonable price. HR guidance on demand. User-friendly attractive interface. Responsive customer service. Cons Nothing so far that I can think of. I wish there would be a greater price differential to make it more affordable for small businesses with one or two employees. Cons It was a little bit confusing at first as it can be with new software but it seems like it took longer to get comfortable with using it on a regular basis than other employee software systems I have used. Cons it doesn't work half the time and the other half support is just awful at responding. as soon as you email them the automatic email that comes back tells you they are busy so... They won't submit your taxes even though they say they will and they defiantly don't have a system that works well. Another Great Idea poorly executed, a few years ago I had to get rid of them because, get this, they were not even licensed to manage insurance and they basically messed everything up for us. December 12, 2018 5.0 Pros Zenefits feels very basic, and by that I mean it's easy to get to everything you need as a user. It has so much capability, from payroll to health care to even storing documents. Cons Customer Support was fast, but didn't explain problems well enough in some cases. April 10, 2018 4.0 Time saved. Mistakes avoided (I used to manage some of these areas manually in spreadsheets). Pros I like the ease of use and the simplicity of the software - it handles things like time off and open enrollment that I used to manage manually in Excel spreadsheets. Cons Because it is a "simple" HR platform, sometimes the complexities of daily HR administration aren't supported. For example, I wanted to increase the PTO bank maximum/cap for 2 employees for a temporary basis. That's not possible in Zenefits without creating an additional PTO policy and switching employees to that policy, which I'm sure will cause some unforeseen consequences. Plus it's time consuming. " July 31, 2018 4.0 Pros Simplifies all of the paperwork that comes with onboarding new employees. Before, we used to collect everything on paper from tax forms, to work rules, uniform policies, sexual harassment policies and more. Now, we no longer have to save any of this info on paper and can recall it at any time. Collecting documentation from new employees is much easier - most seem to have no problem completing the information. Cons The website is VERY slow. Also, there could be a better manager app. Lastly , sometimes employees are unable to complete their information because documents won't upload or signatures wont accept. It works great 90% of the time, but there are bugs sometimes. I am able to perform the tasks that I need to perform with very few issues. Pros I like how the user only has to log in once and they can perform a number of tasks. I also like how the org chart is on the site. Cons I didn't like the initial sign in. It seemed to be very complicated and convoluted. However, now my info is saved and it signs me in automatically. I would've like more advice from her regarding which plans to target and what other companies my size are doing. Pros Zenefits makes onboarding and benefits enrollment paperless and easy. The third party app integrations help round out the onboarding process. Cons Sometimes the app integrations don't work. Third party app store is minimal. I have never had an easier process in my professional career. June 3, 2020 5.0 Pros The user interface is extremely intuitive, and you can easily find what you need. Managing a team and their time off requests is very simple and allows me to view everyone at a glance. Having all of my HR documents in one place is also a huge benefit - especially when I need to inevitably track down my W2 for tax season. Cons I would have said some of the user interface items but updates seem to have cleaned that up. They can log in and accept their offers easily and once they start full time it's so intuitive that we don't even train on it. Cons Not a huge issue because of the search/support functions, but sometimes it can be difficult to find out where certain things are. It is nice to have the option to create sort of a hierarchy and allow for specific department managers to divide up team members in approving time off. I think that this has been a great way to organize PTO within our company. Pros This software is very easy to use and clear. It makes it simple for me to check on the status of my PTO days and request days off. It is also a very quick process which is helpful especially in emergency situations or if someone is sick. However, we are not willing to pay to use the services that were once free to us! Pros I enjoyed that we could send out contracts and agreements for staff members to sign, we could collect payroll information, and they could fill out all legal work and tax documents from one software! Cons The software used to have free settings but they are now changing everyone to a paid service. The cost, however, is based on number of employees. While we do not have many year-round employees, we have many summer staff, so the cost would be much higher than we want to pay just because of our summer staff. Pros It makes it super simple to add and employee, have their W4 info at hand and secure. It has changed we have transitioned from a huge 30-60 page binder per employee to an easy to read and easy to control platform it has been a game changer. Cons I guess perhaps, wanting some integrations with other apps like Monday.com that we use quite often, and it's not a Con per say just something that I would like to see.
