### "Huge efficiencies in HR management"

My experience and my company's experience has been great.

Pros

As a personnel manager at my company, Zenefits makes it easy for me to manage my team's hiring, onboarding, compensation, PTO, etc. in one place. Without Zenefits we would have to hire a couple of additional people to do what it allows us to do systematically.

Cons

I would like to see some greater customization around the new hire process. The core product is great but I don't see constant innovation in new offerings.

So far so good! Definitely been much easier/better to use than other HR systems I have used at previous companies.

Pros

I really like having everything in Zenefits. I was able to do all of my enrollment paperwork in Zenefits all at the same time, and can do so many other things (like see my companies org chart, request time off, see paystubs, update my direct deposit, and more) really easily!

Cons

I really don't have any cons using Zenefits, it has been super easy to use so far. The only thing I noticed (and it might just be the way my company has it set up) was that when requesting time off, I couldn't change some hours to pto and others to unpaid time. For example, if I do not have enough PTO days I am fine requesting any time over it as unpaid to be approved but the system would not let me.

Great until this past year. Not only to the software loose functionality they charged us for services we never utilized and couldn't utilize.

Pros

We were huge fans of Zenefits up until this year. They handled our onboarding, health insurance, and synced with our payroll

Cons

The changes to drop supporting 3rd party health care providers and the inability to create an other income box for special tax designations left us having to cancel the service.

so far so good this is our first HRIS system and it is working well. We cover a large area and often need access to employee file and or qualification and Zenefits meets the needs. Plus it reminds manager and employees when qualification need to be renewed

Pros

very user friendly good training videos very easy and straight forward if it doesn't have what you need it to do easy to customize

needs a strong background check function

Pros

The stress of on-boarding new employees and ensuring benefits are offered and administered properly is eliminated with this software. Our employee records are securely stored offsite and able for each particular location as well as the corporate location to access the information.

Cons

There have been a few instances of problems with the benefits administration. 95% of the time it was resolved successfully and without any cost to our business.

Pros

Zenefits is what my company uses for so many things. It's where we clock our worked hours. See contracts we have signed with the company. You can also see the benefits your company is providing you.

Cons

I wish that Zenifits had reminders via notifications to let me know when to clock out. Sometimes I forget.

Pros

The product is extremely easy to use and the support is fantastic. They have taken a lot of the HR tasks and built it into one platform that keeps growing.

Cons

Wish there was a little more customization on the emails that are sent out. The system sends out many non custom emails that lack relevant details for our organization. Also wish that I could add different triggers for the custom emails.

Ironic that this is HR software and trying to get a hold of a person that cares is nearly impossible.

Pros

Not much to say here. Potential is there with what it could do.

Cons

Glitches everywhere and customer service is by far worst I have seen in a software company. They give you option to pay a yearly rate and a monthly rate, but both are paid annually so you are in a contract no matter what. Yearly rate is pointless if you are still locked into a contract paying the monthly rate. Who would pay yearly rate at that point? After months of trying to get in contact with someone, we were denied cancellation because even though we paid the "monthly rate" we were still in an annual contract.

Pros

Before Zenefits, I was using array spreadsheets and Word documents to manage our many HR processes, and it would take hours to onboard someone. Now it literally takes less than two minutes, and we have all our employee data synced across payroll, health benefits, disability benefits, and PTO. We got great advice from Zenefits as we moved to a group health insurance plan and also to a new short term and long term disability plan. The software is great. It's free and has greatly simplified our processes, which results in simplifying my life. Super happy.

Cons

Their customer service can sometimes be slower than I'd like.

Overall, zenefits is incredibly simple and effective. Allowing employees the opportunity to track and manage their time off is helpful .

Pros

Zenefits allows our company to track and manage employee time off, sick hours and vacation time with ease. Adding or subtracting benefit time is simple, and employees find the software simple enough to navigate at any age, or ability.

Cons

Notifications regarding employee time being maxxed out would be helpful, or annual reminders to add new time off allowances.

The product has been very helpful, and after a year of use, both management and the employees are still finding value in it.

Pros

The software is clean and well made. Our employees easily navigated it right from the beginning. We have seen great adoption in the company due to its simplicity and ease of use. It has helped significantly with administrative duties.

Cons

While the customer service is responsive, it is not immediate and it's always a different person helping you out. This can be hard to deal with if there is a complicated issue. Sometimes it is slow.

Zenefits makes it really easy to onboard and maintain employees' paperwork for compliance, payroll, and benefits. It saves me so much time and work.

Pros

Super easy to use. Free. Better than everything else.

Cons

For benefits and workers' comp, you have to upload a spreadsheet with info about your employees. That info is already in Zenefits, so it's kind of dumb to make me do the extra work. There are some rough edges, like not being able to update information on work locations. But Zenefits keeps getting better and better, and I'm sure they'll fix this stuff before long!

I do not recommend the payroll option. Even if Zenefits made the error, they will not refund any portion of your money, should you be unsatisfied with the results. Intuit payroll is definitely more user-friendly and does the proper calculations. I should have stayed with Intuit. Lesson learned.

Pros

Overall, Zenefits is a good program that helps streamline the HR process for companies. The onboarding is helpful.

Cons

The payroll option is inadequate, confusing, and not user-friendly. I was required to submit several reports to Zenefits to verify our payroll. They, however, failed to mention that deductions must be inputted manually. So, our first payroll with Zenefits did not kick off to a great start. And, then, I found out it will take them about 3 weeks to recalculate it all.

The software is user friendly. It does everything for you and you don't really have to think about it. The best thing is that it Works! I've never had a problem with the software. Zenefits is always making improvements.

I like everything about this software. They keep making improvement and adding apps. I don't have anything to say negative about the Zenefits software. Wish i knew about them years ago.

Zenefits saved us money, but at a cost. We no longer have hands-on, personalized support and advice we had with our previous broker. Given the choice, I do not think I'd implement it again. Zenefits Customer Support is virtually useless, unless it's technical issue with the zenefits website. All member issues eventually come to me as the group administrator.

Pros

Leverage great carrier pricing Can see all benefit info online via and easy to navigate dahsboard

Cons

Overly confident when stating timelines and deliverables - almost nothing went as smoothly as promised during implementation and open enrollment. Lack of knowledge by customer support - most people I interacted with had only been at Zenefits 6 months or less! Reporting very limited (not all fields, as stated during the sales pitch).

I really had hoped this would have been a positive change from ADP but its really just training one set of issues for another.

Pros

Zenefits has a lot to offer and a very easy to use cloud platform. The product itself is fantastic however it is poorly executed which has caused enormous headaches.

Cons

Implementation Manager has an automated email that goes out every single time letting you know it will take him 24 or more hours to get back to you Our payroll implementation was significantly messed up by their team and resulted in our employees being paid incorrectly and not through direct deposit Their approval and processing timeline for payroll is moved up way sooner than other platforms which leaves HR very little time to review and fix timecards. They still have not gotten back to us on how they plan to reimburse our employees for the incorrect pay (due to them setting tax allowances incorrectly when importing our data from ADP)

It has been good. But what I really want is to talk to someone who really knows the program-when I call in.

Pros

All the employee information attaches easily to their profile. Easy to make changes. Easy and fast to find information. Great tutorials. Fun challenges.

Cons

Small things like adding a signature line can take a lot of time. I wish we had more live time with set up help. After using the software for 3 months there were alot of questions. On the chat or email, I was told I was unable to get what I wanted-not a good solution. What would be better is some kind of work around.
