Administrative Coordinator Medical Devices Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Software change caused major errors in PTO accrual and caused headaches for Zenefits customers." April 13, 2018 2.0 Onboarding and PTO benefits tracking. Pros The only major pro I can think of for using Zenefits software is that it is fairly easy to navigate through the website. Cons Customer support is inconsistent with responses. PTO accrual now posts the following month of accrual, so monthly and yearly reports are skewed. Review Source Prabhdeep G. With its streamlined approach we will have smoother onboarding, paperless employee files, easy workflows and simplified payroll that will save our team many hours a week. We are new customers and have received amazing support throughout the sales rep and from our implementation lead. Cons Zenefits is still building out a few features to the technology. Owner Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "About the same pricing as Gusto but much more features" June 20, 2018 5.0 Pros The yearly pricing brought our cost down below Gusto which is one of the lowest in the industry. On top of this, Zenefits seem to have a more larger suite of tools available especially on the employee benefits side. One of the features we were missing that brought us over to Zenefits was the ability to add owner's draw to payroll checks. We are an S-Corp LLC so we used this feature every paycheck and it took one less step out of bookkeeping. Cons The UI can use an improvement as it's difficult to navigate around. Our accountant and us also had a difficult time at the end of the year getting the correct documents we needed to file our taxes. We had to email support as a few documents were missing past the tax deadline but customer support took care of it quickly. Review Source CA Christian A. HR work can be annoying, but Zenefits makes everything a breeze. Interface is super easy to use and even makes you feel good about yourself. If there is something specific I am looking for (like a document) I can always find it easily because of the layout. Cons The most difficult part of this software is the time-off calculations. Everyday we mark the attendance using this software. In past we used to have manual paper system but now its all automated through zenefits solution. It also provides good reports which is used to manage pay for team base don their attendance data." Director of Operations Used the software for: ### "Zenefits is a Mixed Bag for Us" June 10, 2015 3.0 Due to the structure of our organization and bookkeeping system, we do not get all the benefits of Zenefits. The Zenefits software and dashboard are pretty well designed and easy to use, although the processes for entering the calculation of vacation time and sick leave are not intuitively obvious. Having all the employee information available in one place is a great feature, and the process for employees who leave works pretty well. Unfortunately, one thing I was kind of counting on for Zenefits to help with (electronic time sheets) costs extra. We had a major disconnect on COBRA for an employee who left earlier this year that I feel my old broker would have helped us avoid, and which took what I felt was an unreasonable amount of time to resolve with the insurance provider. I was within a hair's breadth of leaving Zenefits to return to our old broker, but decided to give it one more chance. Will be watching the customer service aspect very closely. Has really helped my business stream line the process and save a lot of time. Cons The on-boarding documents at first were more customizable and now they are not. My customers require certain documents and now I have to do it separately which does not help. Also, the insurance process is not very organized and the employees do not seem to know their product. I spent many hours trying to get it fixed. I was about to leave Zenefits until they told me it will change next year. Also, the payroll product needs work for me to be able to use it. It is fairly easy to use it on your computer or mobile devices. And the price of the software is reasonable. Cons I don't like the fact that it lacks of customization.
