### "Good (and Free) HRIS for a Small Company"

Pros

Zenefits has a great UI, and is easy to navigate for employees and admins. Also, if you are lucky enough to get a good Account Manager that has a quick response rate to issues, everything is easier. The benefits team is amazing!

Cons

Constant glitches in the system, random employees placed in your company for no reason, slow response rate from the Support Team, changes to the UI without a heads up, no integration with a viable 401(k) company. Also, most of their employees seem to be very green, and therefore you have to speak to a few before getting a solution to an issue.

Pros

I like that the cards are available quickly via mobile app. I also find that having access to pay stubs and additional information is very useful because I don't like to carry a lot of cards on me.

Cons

The mobile app is a double edged sword; while it's convenient to have access to your information, it's not very easy to make changes on the go.

It is very organized and easy to navigate. I like having access to all my files from any device and whenever I want it. I can check online multiple HR-related things like pay stubs and time-off requests.

Pros

A lot of HR-related activities can be managed by this software. It is very organized and will send me alerts when an action happens or if some document needs to be updated.

Cons

Sometimes it will ask me to update a document but it won't give me an option to upload it myself so I will have to go to my manager or to the HR manager to have them upload and update my personal file

Pros

I love that everyone enters in their own information. I am a Sales Director and am responsible for onboarding new hires, training them, etc., but that also requires me to handle all their paperwork, benefits, etc., which I despise. With Zenefits, I can simply give them the URL, and they handle the rest!

Cons

The platform functions well, but I think we've had some issues with getting personal attention when we've called in. I think that there is always room to make things more user-friendly, namely providing a surplus of information about what choices mean when selecting different benefits. It doesn't need to be on the front page, but at least a button where there is the option for more information would be nice.

Pros

Zenefits brings everything together when it comes to HR information. It helps from onboarding of new employees and manage their intro training schedules.Managing HR plans including insurance terms is easier using this software.

Cons

This system is completely web based. Having an Android app would help us a lot. Most activities are easier to manage from mobile apps so a mobile app would be best to have.

If you have a chance to avoid this company do so. Great concept but have grown so quickly that they continue to have problems with calculating accurately paychecks of all of our employees since we started with them. Since we have started with them, they have screwed up my personal accounts (not to mention most people in our company) 1. DCA (screwed up contribution for 1 month..deducted money but not added to account) 2. 401K (took them 3 months to transfer it from our company to theirs, gave access to all of our accounts to 3. Commuter Benefit 4. Health Insurance 5. HSA And once again, after having my paycheck be correct for 1 pay period, it is now no longer correct. They have once again screwed up my HSA account. Again, think twice about using this company, the stress they add to your employees from a pay period to pay period not knowing if their paycheck is correct...is not worth it.

Pros

The program is easy to use, easy to set up and great way to organize our employee information/benefits. The phone app made it that much easier since we have a lot of off-site employees. Zenefit's staff is great too-- they are always very helpful and quick to respond.

Cons

I'd like to see more features to the program - a section to schedule an employee review (reminders to do so on the management end), HR request from our employees (request to meet, anonymous suggestions), ability to add in custom fields (our reasoning: under the benefits section we could add fields that state vehicle they operate, if they have a company cell phone, company computer, etc. just to keep those records all in one place).

I've been using Zenefits for the past year now, and I don't think I'm EVER going back. When we started our company we had to hire a special person to help manage HR, payroll, etc. When it comes to managing paperwork and copy & pasting data from one place to the next, people are incredibly error prone. Zenefits has taken all the error-prone mistakes out of our HR processes and replaced them with a streamlined onboarding and HR managements experience. Zenefits is integrated with our Quickbooks Online Payroll, so employees can update their address info, withholdings, etc. on Zenefits and the data gets seamlessly transferred to Quickbooks! We love Zenefits!

Pros

I like that it is FREE! I like that the product is easy to use and the customer support center is always willing to help.

Cons

There are parameters within a normal HRIS system that you do not get with this system. For example, I have to set up separate work stations for all of my remote employees. I feel like they should all be able to be set to the corp office without causing issue.

Zenefits saved us a ton of time, money, and anxiety on setting up our HR, compliance, and insurance benefits processes for our company. We grew from 2 to 30 employees in the last 12 months, and it would've been unimaginably hard to pull that off without Zenefits. Their team made it easy.

Cons

I wish they offered more services so we didn't have to deal with any old school vendors at all.

We have been extremely happy with our move to Zenefits. The ease of processing info for the ACA and our open enrollment for benefits has been a breeze. The team at Zenefits have always responded in a timely manner when we had an issue and very courteous always.

Pros

The pros are that it takes hours off of my workload. We are sent e-mails to remind us of hire dates, termination dates, a calendar of employee birthdays and hire date anniversaries. It's very informative and helpful.

Cons

The cons really isn't Zenefits, it's our employees using Zenefits as they should

Zenefits has taken the guess work out of onboarding and vacation/sick tracking. This program is not only free, but it's simple to use. It has taken the guess work out of vacation time and sick time. It has allowed our small company to make onboarding simple and painless with great record keeping.

Pros

It is simple to use. The vacation and sick time tracking keeps the guess work out of this process. This allows new hires to submit their information and payment preferences (check or direct deposit) information in a secured way.

Cons

I wish their payroll system would integrate better with Quickbooks Online. It integrates but only if there are no other payments (reimbursements, health care credits, etc). This forces me to utilize another program for this.

Cons

When you send emails to the organization, you cannot really edit them. Sometimes there are bugs on the phone app.

Pros

Our company uses the free onboarding module in Zenefits. The interface is very intuitive and user-friendly and has saved us a lot of time in the onboarding process.

Cons

The only thing I can think of is that they don't have a support number. However, the support I have received via chat and "call back" has always been helpful.

Pros

I like how easy it is to pull reports! This is definitely my favorite part about the software.

Cons

I don't like how our contract doesn't come with an account manager, but the customer support is easy to reach via chat, email, or phone.
