CEO Legal Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Zenefits: All in one HR program (now with payroll processing) with great features " August 8, 2017 4.0 Overall, we would definitely recommend Zenefits, particularly for smaller organizations like ours, since it is efficient to have all HR handled in one place. Pros Lots of features, and now that payroll processing is possible, it has become so comprehensive that everything is in one place. Pricing is still affordable, even though they now charge for features that used to be free. The new interface is relatively easy to use, and we definitely appreciate the continued efforts to improve the program. Cons Customer service remains an area for improvement. The quality is definitely inconsistent, and unfortunately, we've had more bad experiences than positive ones. There's lots of being bounced from one person/department to another, and occasionally unresponsiveness--it was a nightmare renewing our insurance plans. Review Source NV Nicolas V. We were one of the early adopters, at the time the service was very basic but it already simplified the process of finding and managing benefits tremendously. The account manager was a bit slow in getting to us but we have come learn to work together and accept our time difference, his responses are always answered within a reasonable time. Zenefits Support, has been a bit different, we have had issues with employees that declined insurance and our insurance company is still charging us (one example). Take too much time for any resolution. I think the administrative & organizational components of that department need lots of improvement. But the software as a whole is great, always something new come out. We are getting the help with compliance, ACA, updates on birthdays & anniversaries (so cool), healthcare management and we are considering integrating with other products & services offered thru Zenefits. Director of HR Used the software for: ### "Implementation nightmare - Can't rate lower than 1" December 7, 2015 1.0 I had high hopes for Zenefits as we had a definite need to streamline the benefits enrollments and on-boarding process. Unfortunately, even though I was considered a larger group, I was saddled with an incompetent implementation manager and marginally better broker / rep. Numerous instances of just bad information has cost the company time and accountable money. A "manager" got involved but obviously just as a "cc" on a few e-mails as he had no impact on the service level and has been silent recently. I was told numerous times about the "guy" from Paypal coming on to fix the service issues I feared prior to signing up, but clearly it hasn't helped. I don't know if their people are overworked or under trained (probably both) but I also shouldn't have to care. They simply commit to things and don't live up. Stay away until the dust settles. Very easy to use, and has streamlined my HR/Payroll work. Cons The mobile app has never worked, so that is the biggest con for me. Initial setup was also a bit of a hassle, but not a deal breaker. Run! Pros It is well designed and the layout is easy to use. Cons The people at the company, every person I've interacted with has been terrible, there have been a dozen mistakes, and when our account still wasn't finished being set up because of mistakes they made they kicked us out of their on-boarding stage so all issues had to go to their general support team. There is no dedicated account manager, getting someone from support on the phone takes at a minimum an hour on hold and if you email a minimum of a week to respond. Seems like the VC investment and the sales are not able to drive real software changes yet. Cons The idea is fine, the follow through hasn't come through yet. There is not much to complain about in terms of technical support as we rarely encounter hiccups and find it easy to troubleshoot and is generally a just ID10T error. I do enjoy the fact that my employees can navigate about without too much training or hands-on support from me. Cons I think the platform can be more robust. I enjoyed being on another platform with a more established brand where we are able to use the total HRIS solutions to house all personnel files, handbooks, and they worked with us in an HRBP capacity to ensure we were in compliance. It would be great if Zenefits had more hands on physically accessible staff who came on client site monthly to assist with HR matters especially for smaller organization with HR departments of one. The labels or where items are located are logical and 99% of the information I need is readily available. Cons I feel like I always have a one off type question. Customer Support is responsive but at the risk of being greedy, is there any way to add more information regarding those unusual one off type situations. Even the reporting feature is easy. Cons I wish there were more apps and integrations. It seems like Zenefits is missing an opportunity to provide more products and enhancements. July 23, 2015 4.5 Pros Zenefits is very user friendly. Great for small to midsize businesses that are looking to seamlessly manage benefits, onboarding, and personnel changes all in one place. They have dedicated account managers and a whole team of customer service representatives so the support is great! They are also constantly enriching their product offering with new Business Intelligence tools and management capabilities. Cons My only recommendation would be to allow for more flexibility to customize different features and to incorporate a date field for making employee changes so we can keep track of when an employee was promoted or received a raise and their job progression throughout their time at the company. Pros I liked how the options for work benefits were fairly straightforward. I used this at a previous job and it fulfilled the HR need. Cons I didn’t have any negative experience with this software. I worked on a number of HR apps but Zenefits specifically helps with managing employees data and related information. Zenefits could be called a CRM for employee information. It is easy to use and has simple UI. Cons managing office resources will be helpful with Zenefits. Since we assign various resources (e.g. laptop, Phone etc.), so if we can keep this along with employee data within Zenefits, it will be best. Review Source James D. Pros I use this as an end-user and I love having quick access to paystubs and insurance details. I also love the open enrollment process guiding through benefits changes each year. Time off function is amazing and I love that when you offboard it tells you the amount you need to pay off to your employee. Like how easy it is to do things in bulk, for example, send updated Employee Handbooks or Request Background Checks. Benefit renewal is super easy and streamlined. Cons No integration with ADP Payroll. No way to bulk upload existing employees as hires. No way to share HR tools with other team members. It's really easy to use as an employee and set up as an administrator. March 6, 2015 1.5 Pros I was first attracted at the ability to tie our onboarding and offboarding activity to a portal that allows to be more current with technology capabilities. Cons Their foundation is insurance, and they are doing a terrible job at executing in this area. We just went through an open enrollment process with them, and they screwed it up. We even purchased a new ATS just to use with Zenefits. Cons The customizability of forms and what not is limited. I would like to create more forms, but the process is not as easy.
