Extremely easy to manage payroll AND a way to contract out HR services when you are not large enough to have in house. Pros It makes the onboarding process super easy and then it stores all of the information in one place without having to worry about filing away paperwork. It is also easy for our employees to access their records and can easily make any changes to their address or tax information. Cons We would love to use Zenefits to process our payroll but are unable to do so because the service is not offered in our state of operation. Similarly, we cannot manage our benefits through Zenefits. But for all of our other HR needs, Zenefits has us covered. Review Source JW Jo W. It states it can pull data from current payroll to upload into their system. It did that with incorrect PAY and START DATE information, therefore I had incorrect deduction for employees due to different start dates. I am still working on this with them and it is been over 3 weeks. They have now come up with 3 different start dates. Overall I wish I never wasted my time with them. Cons CUSTOMER SERVICE - only email is support, even when you get to talking to representative. No direct numbers. Seems like 2 person show, with emails at all times and only one support email address. My employees state phone numbers to insurance agency listed incorrectly in their system, # disconnected. It reduces the workload of our HR staff so much they have more time to focus on the company instead of their file cabinet. I also like how intuitive the interface is. I have all my documents and data (like PTO, sick time, paystubs) all in one place. Pros I can view all my important documents and employee details in Zenefits. They also make it very simple to import existing employee data. Cons Some items are hard to navigation to in Zenefits. The user interface could be a little more friendlier, but it is good overall. Pros Functionality of each module, from org charts to benefit review is outstanding. We particularly like the automated onboarding with e-signature capability. Cons The benefit-related customer service is lacking due to Zenefits really being a product company as opposed to a benefit broker. Also wish that the payroll integration with ADP was tighter. You are able to send out the offer letter and other hiring documents, collect direct deposit information as well as tax forms and verify the I9 forms all is the software. All of this is included free of charge. Cons The company is founded on the fact that they want to earn your employer healthcare plan, however we worked to go through this process with them and had a poor experience. The service started out as free and then they took fuctionality away and added it to upgraded paid plans instead of in the free version. Review Source AN Alex N. Pros I think the ease of use and the fact that Zenefits links to some of our other companies has been very helpful to making a smooth transition for our staff. Pros App is easy to use, and employees learn quickly. It is easy to setup each account and they employees are usually quick to setup their profile. Cons Cannot get employees to use properly-phone service isn't great in rural WI. Cons Locating approved time off or seeing historical records of my team's time off wasn't as easy to find. After researching the company a bit, I figure out the problem. Terrible leadership at the CEO level, and a horrible company culture. Pros Their user interface is super simple and easy to use. Unfortunately it doesn't actually connect to your insurance providers, or have any bearing on your policies or payments or anything. Cons They mess up everything they touch. They are a middleman between you and the insurance company, so you don't have any idea what the real story is. Rate increases are 20%+ per year for the providers. Pros Zenefits has all of the features you'd need in an HR software, it keeps everything in one place (hour logging/paystubs/tax forms) and makes it extremely easy to access and track all of this information for every employee. Cons Some of the important to access information is hidden in menus that don't always make sense. Also the customer support and response time slowed after implementation was complete. Pros In the user side, this is a great software when we can book holidays ou personal days. It's really easy to navigate and have a good UX/UI. Cons Zenefits is not available for all countries.
