I loathe this software. I sincerely wish we had never ever implemented. It is completely unfit for purpose for a small ecommerce business and should be not marketed as such. Unless you have staff to dedicate to this software, it's a complete waste of precious resources.

Nothing. It's been a battle from start to finish.

Cons

Appalling integration with Shopify and Xero.Total lack of decent supportHas driven more cost into my business than remove it - extra staff required.Incoherent logic - eg posts Sales but not corresponding COGS if fulfilment is delayed.No on screen reportingDiabolical UI

It greatly improves our clients warehouse management. DEAR continuously improves their features which widens their capability to handle different types of retail and manufacturing companies.

Pros

DEAR's user interface is easy to use and follow. All the processes (Purchase Order, Inventory Maintenance, and Sales Order) are pretty straight forward. And it integrates to most of the e-commerce platform in the market which makes the whole business cycle almost automated.

Cons

DEAR's functionality is limited. It can process all Purchases, Inventory Management, and Sales Orders based on how it is structured in DEAR. There is no to minimal customization that can be done.

### "Do not use this system"

OrderHive has been a constant headache since I started using it. The developers are very shortsighted in what's required, for example not having a way to retain the original order number, for me this is really basic stuff. When new features are launched they often haven't been thoroughly thought through, for example a feature being available in the UI but not via the APIs. I find the support people don't understand the product very well, and certainly don't understand it's shortcomings. Everything has to be explained 3 different ways and then still nothing is done about it, I have to resend the same emails multiple times to get a response, and always be the one the follow up. Unless you have extremely basic requirements then I would stay well away from this product.

Pros

Easy UI Cheaper than other systems

Cons

Some basic requirements are covered Support is extremely slow, tedious and nothing ever gets finished

Pros

Easy set-up/parameterisation. Cloud based implementation - small infrastructure investment required, on the whole, a reliable 24/7 service. Intuitive and consistent user interface. Help Desk support people are responsive and helpful.

Cons

B2B application has not matured and has functional gaps - needs additional investment to make it the finished article.Direct access to 2nd line technical support is non-existent - everything is handled via the help desk - therefore, on more technical queries, issues are not always fully understood which can cause delay in resolution times and is frustrating.

Overall, the system is easy to use, users are able to easily navigate and the customisation options suit most business needs.

Pros

DEAR has an excellent range of functionality and the integration options for ecommerce , B2B and accounting make it a preferred choice.

Cons

Its irritating when you open the product screen and select a product, and the system defaults to opening on the BOM screen.

We are a new business that started with excel spreadsheets however it was quite difficult to track everything across the two warehouses we have. Dear has helped us by giving us live data of where all our products are. I would also like to add that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has been so lovely and patient with us during the onboarding and has really solidified that I made the right choice of going with Dear Systems.

Pros

I like the right out of the box use of Dear Systems. Many other systems require a full set up before being able to be used, but with Dear as long as the basics are set up, you can begin using it and expand from there.

Cons

At this point in time I haven't identified any cons.

I believe this software have potential to grow and become very reliable. Whilst there have been some issues and downtime with the FTP integrations, the support team and their developpers have always been very quick to fix them and improve them with additional features The overall customer support has been exceptional As a company using Amazon, FBA, Shopify, Ebay, WooCommerce and wholesale sharing the same stock and syncing it from our ERP, it really works

Pros

It does all we need to integrate it with our ERP via FTP import / export XML

Cons

FTP xml order export every 1 hour minimum might not be enough for some ERP integrations that need to sync orders and shared committed stock faster accross multiple channels. Decreasing the 1 hour window to 15 min ( like Linnworks ) would make a great difference

Worst experience I've had in the 15 years of using online software.

Pros

They sold me on the inventory management system. it sounded great in the presentation. And went down hill from there

Cons

It's been 5 months and I am still in the onboarding process. I have asked for a refudn several time only to be ignored. I even wrote to \[sensitive content hidden\] who never responded.

After going around in circles with a few reps, I finally got connected with \[sensitive content hidden\]. He was extremely helpful with ironing out some issues I was encountering. I think dear is an amazing product and always recommend it to my clients. I hope that the product continues to be a great program even after the transition to Cin7.

Pros

Features are exhaustive; you can accomplish any setup. Easy to scale up with more features.

Cons

Can be finicky, but once you learn the workarounds it works beautifully.

Pros

This is the BEST inventory (almost ERP) system out there. Dear strikes the precarious balance between features and complexity very well. The only inventory solution with multiple tiered BOM's for a fraction of the price of fully blown ERP systems. This just is a diamond and we are so happy to have found it. Multiple tier BOM,s, multiplied warehouse and production facilities, wonderful integration with most of the important distribution channels. I could go on.

Cons

Somewhat rigid and limited in reports. The reports I want to run never seem to be possible without downloading 2 reports and analyzing them with excel.

a little frustrating for the limitations fo the system and interfae with XERO. Limitations: need to UNDO a compleate sale to be able to make any change Sync with Xero: constant errors Very slowwww we have a 100/40mgb connection and good computers (local app or better use of cache)

\- What we would expect from a Inventory Managment system - Chinese interface - advance sale function (multiple dispatches, multiple invoices for one sale order) - integration with Shopify -

Cons

DEAR - faster JSON access (no limitation of 60 calls per second) - no need to UNDO sales for non essential information fields change - ability to edit allocation of products - ability to edit batch/serial information - Reports 1) shows clear information of Sale Order that have not been 1) shiped, 2) invoiced. 2) be able to extract information related to earning power of a product (% margin x rotation of a product) - Ability to limit sales bellow certain margin or price - Dashboard with historical inventory and accounts receivables graphs (currently not available) - Rename product fields (example: type, category, brand, stock locator, barcode…) - Additional fields available on more reports - reports are missing a lot of related information that could / should be available

### "Lack of Communication with customers"

Usually good, sometimes very frustrating.

Pros

It manages my inventory and order and is cloud based.

Cons

When Dear is upgrading its system, customers can find the software extremely slow or not working at all. This can go for weeks at a time causing massive frustration for my staff around the country as well as disruption to my business. The lack of communication and support from DEAR mean you feel little loyalty to the product.

Pros

"Moved over from sage around 12 months ago to Xero and added Dear which answered the major issues I was having with Sage in that the inventory element (sure, that's not what is was designed for) was woefully inadequate for our business. I have to report that 12 months in that Dear has met and exceeded expectations and added real value to my inventory management and customer order processing. With the recent addition of the B2B portal, and what my customers will be able to do once is it fully operational will really revolutionalise some of the challenges we faced in, for example, letting customers know what is available from stock etc. Overall, we made the right move and I haven't seen a better combination of integrated applications than Dear and Xero! Well done and thanks to both!"

Cons

Dear is a brilliant and responsive company, although my only gripe, is that there are few updates or communique's relating to bug fixes or developments of the application. Example is the B2B portal, there are many comments about what features are needed and bug fixes, but as yet no commentary from Dear as to which will or won't be incorporated. Like me, many will become less likely to comment f it is not apparent that they are being acknowledged. Come on Dear, at least add a comment!!

Pros

We have been using Orderhive for about 3 years and it has worked very well for us. We don't experience many issues and when we do we get a quick response from their support team. And they have built a few customizations for us so the system fits our needs well.

Cons

Some recent UI updates have made the platform less intuitive in my opinion, but that may just be because I was used to how it worked before the updates.

Pros

We're in a very new, niche industry and weren't sure what we would require that could handle all the possibilities of what our business, to have such a flexible and versatile inventory system has allowed us to change it to suit our needs. As we evolve into more and more products that need to be managed differently we find another way that Dear can handle this. Our business requires tracking product movements across multiple processing facilities, with some products being disassembled from their raw ingredient through multiple processes, then reassembled into finished goods, then assembled into boxes. Operationally this wasn't possible with our previous inventory system, but is now working smoothly with Dear.

Cons

Setting up products can take some time, as with any inventory system, however this was expedited by their support and the ease of their import and export functionality

When I started using Orderhive I was a novice in these kinds of systems but the Orderhive is very intuitive and easy to use. As a company, they are always making improvements and adding features. Customer service is always great as well. They are responsive to questions, requests and suggestions.

Cons

The only real crticism I have is that there is now way to back out an error on a received purchase order. You can adjust the quantities fairly easily but the actual purchase order will show received still.

Honestly, the price was the driving force behind the decision. That along with a dedicated account rep and the ability to customize work flow

I lost the account rep after the first year, fair enough. But support is hit or miss. It took 24 hours to resolve my last simple issue
