### "Cin7 Experience"

We are extremely happy with our CIN7 experience so far (about 9 months). Previously we had found inventory management systems trying to do too much generally did nothing well. So when we decided to change we were initially looking for something simpler in the hope we could find something that would at least do the basics very well. After trialing Cin7 we were surprised but also a little hesitant because its has a full suite of features (like our old system). BUT i am very glad we took the risk. I never expected to move so much of our business management out of the backend of our website and into our inventory/sales system. It has changed the way we run our business and vastly improved the information and reporting our staff have available, which also improves our customers experience. The system is reliable, easy to use, has advanced features, has a fairly straight forward API, and the CIN7 support has also been very helpful. They actually want to set you up and get you using their system properly (whats the point of having all these features if you dont know how to use them). No off the shelf system is without its flaws as each business is different. For us we would like the manufacturing module built out for more high volume manufacturing, at the moment its a bit boutique. 'Kitting' is also a bit underdeveloped. Pros

The system is reliable, easy to use, has advanced features, has a fairly straight forward API, and the CIN7 support has also been very helpful. They actually want to set you up and get you using their system properly (whats the point of having all these features if you dont know how to use them).

Cons

No off the shelf system is without its flaws as each business is different. For us we would like the manufacturing module built out for more high volume manufacturing, at the moment its a bit boutique. 'Kitting' is also a bit underdeveloped.

### "Amazing Software - Like a tall glass of water in the desert!"

Cin7 is an excellent inventory system, we investigated about 10-20 different top ERP solutions with our extensive requirements list (bill of materials and scanning were some of the features that were difficult to find natively supported in a lot of the offerings out there). Many of the systems that we investigated were like a mirage in the desert. They looked great and advertised great features, but once you got into them, it was like getting to the mirage and finding there was no water there. The software packages would either not be capable of what we needed them to do, or the price became so high that it would put our business under. Cin7 was like a tall glass of refreshing water in the Sahara Desert. After many long hours of wandering in the desert, we finally found this great inventory system, which natively has all of the features we were looking for at a price that is very reasonable for our mid-sized business. So, if you want to keep your camels watered… (or your employees/and overall business happy); I recommend Cin7, where you will get to the water and not find yourself still thirsty in the desert, having only seen a mirage.

Pros

The greatest features of Cin7 are the search-ability everywhere within the system, back-end stability, existing integrations, and the great visibility and flow of the system as orders go through it. We were also very impressed with the concept of virtual stock through existing materials and bill of materials.

Cons

We had a little trouble with the importing of data as there were some nuances, however the on-boarding process helped us to resolve them so it was not a big deal.

Integrates all of our Sales Channels with our inventory management - streamlines our business - Customer Support is absolutely Outstanding. Cin7 has transformed our small business and we could not be happier. Cin7 consolidates all of our sales channels; to include, 2 EDI sales channels. To have all sales channels integrated with inventory management in one application streamlined our business processes and reduced manual admin requirements. Truly, Cin7 is one of a few applications where technology actually reduces workload and frees up our small staff to focus on marketing, product development, and customer service. The Cin7 customer support is OUTSTANDING. Our On-Boarding Account Manager was fantastic. The Support team made our transition to EDI smooth and they patiently trained us to automate our EDI processes. The telephone support provided is priceless. Knowing that we can reach out for help, around the clock, from an intelligent and caring "human" is absolutely essential for our small team of 8 employees. Each of us multitasks and manage many applications...we do NOT have time to be experts in any one application. We do NOT have time to read technical information, use forums, or play the back and forth never ending game of trouble tickets. With Cin7, we don't have too. We can simply pick up the phone and get help Immediately. In the strongest term, we high Recommend Cin7 to anyone who is serious about running a successful eCommerce Business.

### "Comprehensive inventory management software"

Whilst there are always compromises when it comes to inventory management, Cin7 offers a comprehensive package that covers most bases (more than any other - and trust me I researched this a lot!). And they do offer customisation too if what they have doesn't quite cover your bases. So if you have complex inventory management requirements and you are looking for loads of side benefits - POS, BOMs, B2B, 3PL etc - then definitely take a closer look at Cin7. And even if your requirements are simple definitely consider Cin7 as your company will be able to grow in to its many features. As a comparison with the many other inventory packages and POS systems I have worked with Cin7 is by far the most comprehensive and thus I really couldn't recommend enough. The cons are that it could be considered slightly clunky to work through some things - but I would argue this is necessary to have a slightly complex system that allows a company to grow into. One example of this, just to give an idea, is when using BOMs. They don't automatically update the cost price of the good they create (there is an extra step to set it up to do this which is not very obvious). This would seem annoying and slightly counterintuitive. AlthoughI would also argue that it does offer you the extra advantage of being able to choose whether a BOM price update will automatically update the cost price of a good. So you can see it can be clunky but also kind of necessary in terms of flexibility. The only other two cons I would say are the slightly outdated design of the platform which aesthetically isn't the best. And not having much choice in invoice design etc. But this is really just nit picking and something that I am sure will be fixed at some point. So overall really would have to recommend - especially if you are looking for a wide range of features and a well designed platform.

It is a comprehensive platform that offers a lot of features.

Cons

It has an outdated design and is quite expensive for small businesses to start out on.

### "Extremely bad customer service - 1month responstime"

We have had many more problems with Cin7 compared to much cheaper cloud solution we worked on in the past. We were told all the great features and customization by the sales men. Problem is a lot of ther solution they promissed didn't work as described. Actually we cannot use the solutions at all. We bought a supercar with no motor, and now they don't want to help us get up and running. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SOFTWARE.

Pros

it is in general a great system, but i really does not matter if the system cannot calculate the profit of your sales.

Cons

Costumer service is so poor. The people you talk to always need to contact another employee, and the respons time is avg 1month. also for critical issues. The onboarding team cuts the connection before we are up an running, meaning i have to talk with support about issues that i already explained the onboarding team.

\-The Multiple location warehouse option is one of the main reason why I chose Cin7, not many Inventory software have that option. -The accounting integration with Xero and QBO is very important -Cloud base is definitely a must today. - Customer service is super friendly but super slow and they lack knowledge and training of Cin7 itself.

Pros

Good B2B software in general, has lots of great features. Multiple locations, Integrations available, cloud based, email features, pricing specials, easy to use, reporting, accounting integration.

Cons

\-The on-board support was mediocre, the representative did not not the software very well, they did not take the time to understand your business properly before making adjustments. -Inventory levels in Cin7 never seems to match physicals, it is very easy for the staff to make mistakes, not proper rules and restrictions are in place. Not accurate -Very slow at times - Support takes up to a week to get back to you, sometimes they don't even reply back. - Supper expensive, what they quote initially does not include any integrations, users, etc. Make sure they include everything before you commit. - Still has lots of bugs, this software is design for the fashion/ retail industry. We are a food wholesaler and it doesn't fit the purpose sometimes. It doesn't have an app for apple or Android which would be very useful for sales reps and on the go usability

staff are really good, features and function are really lacking or inflexible.

Pros

Inexpensive for a small number of users, reasonably good integration and training process that doesn't take up too much time.

Cons

The list is growing. There are lots of things the system just doesn't do well. Version Control of Products is poor, there is no ability to mark some products as GST-Free, there are very limited template options, you can't "copy" prior orders, if you receive partial payments (eg a deposit) then there is no oprtion to charge credit card fees (you have to wear these, or add a manual line entry). You can't have negative priced products, so if you want to apply discounts and keep track of these (e.g. vouchers or reclaimable govt subsidies) it is impossible. I think it's just not a good all-rounder. Maybe its ideal for selling t-shirts, but we have importing, 3rd party contract manufacture, dropshipping (god, that's painful in Cin7) and wholesaling. Cin7 is so far not up to the task. If you are planning to buy it, don't do so as a start-up. The implimentation period is very helpful but wasted if you are not at full commercial fuction. If you are already operational and selling, feel free to change if the system suits you, but don't "start" a business with Cin7 becuase you'll drop out of the implimentation service before you find all of the problems.

### "Good value and Good fit for what we needed"

CIN7 has enabled us to move most of our data out of manual spreadsheets and into the system. We are looking forward to integrating CIN7 with an inventory planning and forecasting tool to further automate many of our manual processes.

Pros

As a smaller start-up company, we were looking for fairly basic inventory management and order management functional that was not over complicated and not overly expensive. CIN7 delivers sold core functionality in both areas with very reasonable pricing and well developed interfaces with key business software packages.

Cons

Training could be a little more robust. Training videos get you some good basics, however lacking when trying to set up some more complicated work flows such as production jobs and kitting and bundling.

Really good, but there have definitely been questions that have arisen after the Implementation period. It was hard to cover everything that might be needed. Sometimes my questions to Support have been answered quickly and at other times it has taken a few weeks.

We have used 'Production Jobs' to create ski+binding packages/kits so the complete kit can be shown in stock, but now we cant see the individual components on the packing slips for our warehouse to pick.If we 'load BOM' on the Sales order then it takes more components out of stock again. We may need to approach you for a dev ticket for this. We need the kits to be available on the B2B, so we cant leave as individual components and just make when we do a Sales order.

We have recently moved over our CRM to Cin7. As a small business this it was a big decision and overall we are very happy with our choice. To layout the journey as we found it - Sales Team: They were very knowledgeable, work hard to find a pricing solution that would work for us but may have slight over promised on the capability of the system. Onboarding Team: By far the best part of the process. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], our onboarding agent was fantastic. He was patient and supportive, working with us on any issue we raised and liasing between us an the IT support team. He alone made the process a success. Support: Reading other reviews I would agree they are slow at getting back to you but generally when they do get to the issue have a good resolution: The Tech: Cin7 largely does what we were told it would, there are a few work arounds and they have rushed out some updated that aren't quite finished which isn't great. The system though has left us much more confident than we were in our previous system and we look forward to using Cin7 to help us grow across our retail and trade platforms. Well done for helping us along the way, we hope you take these feedback and improve where you can to go from good to great.

Pros

We love there stock production capacity, the ability to account for stock on hand and virtual stock accurately and the B2B sales platform.

Cons

The integration setting for Shopify are a bit clunky and can be confusing, it crashes ever so often but generally we have a high level of confidence in the software. The support team could be quicker!

\- The onboarding for the software was great. We had access to the Cin7 Academy which walked through most steps and our dedicated onboarding specialist \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] helped us weekly with any other issues that required more knowledge. No pressure was given to speed up this process and onboarding was overall a very good experience. - Cin7 has a lot of features that are helpful for a growing business such as contact logs and templates, linking orders to PO's and credit limits.

Cons

\- The software is somewhat 'clunky', not as intuitive as other softwares. An update in the overall users interface could help. - Onboarding is expensive but if you have a great onboarding specialist it is worth it. - Can be laggy - Some features could be more fleshed out, especially in the B2B but they are working on that.

### "Promising features but poorly executed with terrible support"

Pros

The features on offer are promising and if they all worked well, the value for money would be fairly good. The implementation charges are reasonable for the level of detail required to get the system up and running.

Cons

The software feels like it is still in beta and we have found quite a number of bugs. Most of the time it's a challenge to even convince their support to take responsibility of the problem and generally the solution is a workaround rather than an actual fix. There are a lot of problems we simply gave up on trying to resolve entirely. There are bugs they fixed that were subsequently reintroduced later on. At the moment their own financial reports don't add up and we can't even complete the essential end of year activities we need to. Over a week has passed with no resolution despite daily follow up, their excuse is that unless we pay them extra to get upgraded support they can't keep up with all the issues they have at the moment!

Upon reviewing your support cases with us it looks like most of these are setup related rather than bugs. A technical support specialist will be in contact with you shortly to investigate which bugs you have experienced. Premium support gets you faster email responses and phone support, it does not affect the number or type of queries we respond to. If an issue is escalated to the development team, depending on the complexity of the fix required and the outcome of testing, this process can take weeks to ensure the release goes smoothly.

We started with Cin7 before the pandemic hit. They have you partnered with someone to help with set up and then when you go live. We went live April 2020. I missed having easy access to someone to help us, answer questions, do minor configurations that we saw we needed. After a few months, we went to premier level. That was the smartest thing. We had a direct contact, weekly calls, any tickets or requests were managed timely. After 6 months or so, "we got it", and have been on our own. Still send in random support tickets, but I am proud of our whole team that we know how to leverage the tool.

Pros

Our end goal was to use Shopify. Cin7 was the inventory management solution that made the most sense. We could also integrate with Xero and ShipStation. One transaction flows through the tool the same way, whether I start in POS, Shopify or Cin7 back end. Makes it seamless for our team to process. I trust the data. This is one source of truth.

Cons

We are an apparel wholesaler, so we have learned to look at style-color-size different. We would like to be able to scan both customer orders and inventory transfers or counts. That isn't fully enabled yet.

Pros

I love both the integrations and the wide range of features provided by the platform - we were working on around 7 different systems previously with no collaborations between the platforms. This meant lots of manual input and frequent order mishaps (incorrect stock levels, lost orders etc).Massive shoutout to our onboarding specialist, \[sensitive content hidden\] - so prompt in fixing any issues we had during the onboarding process and provided flexibility for myself and my colleague to learn in our own styles. Very personable and friendly to boot - every meeting was a blast.

Cons

I'm hesitant to say just yet as I'm still learning the full deoth of capabilities. Currently there is still some manual pains with our invoicing process for shipping/freight charges as our selling model doesn't support tiered shipping options. Would be awesome if there could be a Starshipit (or equivelant) integration to the B2B portal so shipping prices could be generated based on delivery location and order weight on checkout.

### "Bug-filled, hidden price increases - look elsewhere "

One of the most bug-filled and disappointing software systems we have come across. We had a significant price increase only 7-month into the subscription, more than 100%. Some would argue it is completely unethical business practice luring a company in long enough to invest enough time so set themselves up only to get an extreme pricing increase... Was promised Premium Support as compensation for the price hike, managed to negotiate a small price drop but Premium Support was taken off without communicating that to us. Price is now back up where it was plus some. Promised functionality but appears to have been built by people with little user insight. Support response time is poor, the support staff we deal with try their best but with a system filled with bugs, it's pretty obvious they are fighting an uphill battle. Zero compensation for lost data which was only one of the issues with bugs. Do yourselves a favour and research all inventory systems available thoroughly before committing to CIN7. There are several other systems available with far fewer issues and quality customer service. This software system is not ready for use.

Pros

You can customise some aspects, though you will pay a fee for any changes.

Cons

So many issues, it's not yet ready for use, there are plenty of bugs. The large price increases are unjustified when the systems do not run smoothly.

### "Terrible Custumer Support"

Pros

The software has great functionality and streamlines many aspects of the business. They have put lots of work into the bugs but their documentation is often outdated. It is effective for handling ecommerce sales but lacks on the pick-n-pack system.

Cons

The customer support is terrible! If you want to chat or talk to anyone they try to enroll you onto "premium support" for almost $3000 - $5000 per year. Standard support takes over 1 week to get back to you. Additionally, the on-boarding team has no experience with accounting or the financial setup. More often than ever they tell you they will consult with one of their teams and make you waste time until the on-boarding is over and you have to pay for premium support. I would recommend it but note, you will spend a lot of time trying to set it up correctly. Be prepared to allocate additional time reconciling inventory if you use shipstation (does not integrate well).

### "Best Inventory Management Package"

When I joined our company they have issues in tracking orders, keeping copies of POs, order management, etc. When I recommended Cin7 to our \[sensitive content hidden\] and we implemented Cin7, he was impressed that all these issues were resolved.

Pros

Cin7 is easy to roll out and easy to train other users.

Cons

Nothing really. Cin7 resolved all the issues that we are having before and we also gained some unexpected benefits like the use of Google drive to keep record of customer POs.

I am familiar with Cin7 and I know i can do the roll out of the app in our company. Our \[sensitive content hidden\] approved the implementation of Cin7 after I presented the benefits that we will gain and he find the cost reasonable.

### "Fantastic Product, Especially at its Price-Point"

Cin7 has helped us streamline our business, identify shortfalls, and helped us to leap into where today's technology is operating at vs. our previous, DOS-based software.

Pros

SAAS is huge for us. It's available whenever and wherever we need it since it works offline. We're using it for purchasing, inventory management, creating orders at our customers locations, fulfilling the orders in warehouse, then delivering. Although we're hacking the POS module to function as our order taking module, we've been able to work with the support time to accomplish what we need to keep our business running. Cin7 is very reasonable from a cost perspective. An ERP would run us north of $25k, in some cases $40k! Cin7 is a great solution to help our small business grow, and we anticipate Cin7 being able to scale with us. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] in sales, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] in onboarding, and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] in support have been integral in our success with Cin7.

Cons

Given we're on the most affordable plan, the support is challenging given we don't have a dedicated rep. So the onus is on me to be dilligent in getting our issues resolved. That said, whenever I've pushed, Cin7 has been there to help us find the solution. The fact we're "hacking" the POS module to be an order taking module is a con, but again, that's us being frugal and not wanting to invest in an ERP.

### "Overall good - relatively steep learning curve but manageable"

We used excel spreadsheets to track orders from multiple sales channels (Shopify, email, phone, Instagram, messages etc). We manually entered every single Shopify invoice into Xero AND onto our spreadsheet. We then manually entered every single tracking number onto our spreadsheet too AND into Shopify. This was all fine when we had 1 or 2 employees and doing 100 or 200 sales per month. Now at 1000+ sales per month and growing, we needed a way to automate this process. We looked at Cin7 and 2 other similar software for Inventory management and decided this was the best. We are paying extra to have this custom integrated into our 3PL warehouse so orders will be automatically sent for picking and tracking numbers etc will automatically flow back. Currently we're still a couple of weeks away from the integration being finalised so we are still manually bulk exporting orders to the warehouse. However all Shopify invoices are automatically imported into Cin7 and then flow into Xero. My advice would be to dedicate 1 (if possible 2) people to the implementation. Do the training vidoes and then when you are ready to 'Go Live' make sure you have 2 or 3 days clear as you will need it to get up to speed and get comfortable.

Pros

To switch Cin7 on was relatively easy. Once we went live with it, it all works quite well, it's just a matter of learning how it differs to the software we used previously. Support when going live is good, i had pages of questions over several days, all of which have been answered.

Cons

There are still manual processes required when it comes to Xero however the time savings and automation are obivous.

### "Excellent Software"

Information accuracy was key to choosing CIN7, it has made transacting much quicker and simpler. Inventory management was extremely important, maintaining spreadsheets doesn't work in the long run and CIN7 is brilliant.

Pros

I love the integrations, my entire system is linked between B2B, shipping, ecommerce platforms and the warehouse for distribution. Cin7 does the job of several people, and it does it fast and accurately. We'd be completely lost without CIN7. We researched other similar platforms but nothing comes close to CIN7.

Cons

There is little to dislike, but if I had to say something it would be that it is sometimes slow. It could be related to other factors. I would love it if there was app for tablet.

Reason for choosing Cin7 Omni

CIN7 captures everything we need, from inventory to ecommerce applications, the choice was simple when we found it has all the applications we needed.

### "Bugs & no support"

I was very patient. We spent almost 2 months getting ready to go live. Paid them upfront. The day we went live our "pre-live" manager disappeared, post-live support is not there. They couldn't fix even one out of 3 failing connections. Nothing works, we're doing all the inventory on paper now.

Pros

It has most of the features we need for our business. Integrations with all marketplaces we use and shipstation.

Cons

3 out of 4 integrations failing. Basic functionality like order status updates when shipped via Shipstation fails. Wrong inventory pulled when items sold on marketplaces. Cin7 support admitted connection bugs but couldn't fix them for over 45 days now.

Reason for choosing Cin7 Omni

Seemed like a good functionality/price combination. They've made a great presentation showing all the functionality we need. They forgot to mention that most of the functionality will be failing and when carrot sold, pulling beet worm inventory, even when mapping shows the right link from carrot to a carrot. I wish someone would post this kind of review before I made a choice.

Pros

The most intuitive and user friendly software I've used yet. Integrates seamless with Xero & Shopify and reporting options are endless.

Cons

Doesn't always correctly allocate stock to completed orders.

Cin7 Omni has given us complete visibility of our stock position with almost real time updates. The simple integration with platforms like Amazon or shopify saved hours in manual updating and provide valuable insights through the cin 7 built in reports.

Pros

Slick solutions for our stock management across multiple locations with many locations using different sku codes for same item!Great integration with selling platforms.Realtime sales data and great reporting tools! Simple integration to our Xero accounting system

Cons

The learning curve is steep -but worthwhile! Budgetting and forecasting tools are basic and could be enhanced to give even more value

I have been with cin7 for a very long time and the usability has gotten better and better, I wish the pric would stop going up especially with out andy warning!

Pros

I like that I can see my whole business from one place.

Cons

there are some reports that would be useful to have, I liked that I could view a total $$ of orders from the sales order page but this was removed. I would like to have location search options for the crm and also search by product options in the crm

We are a small business with 6 employees based in Australia and working in the construction supply industry. We sell mainly to trade, via trade credit accounts, but also do some wholesale and retail sales. We have around 500 account customers and 7000 product lines. Due to the size limitation of our site we do a large number of stock turns on many items, so inventory management, ease of generating orders and stock receipting are very important to us. The competitive nature of our industry demands the capability to have multiple discounting methods which are applied at both customer and product (quantity based) levels enabling accurate and consistent pricing to customers. We have been using another software for over two years with another cloud-based POS/inventory/CRM product and have recently switched to Cin7. In short, I wish we had swapped sooner. Though we have literally only been using Cin7 'live' for three weeks now, the experience is so superior, so 'next level' that it is clear to me we were simply using the wrong package for our business. While we are still learning and growing into the Cin7 package, we are finding that its operation is streamlining our processes, increasing our invoicing accuracy and assisting with our inventory management. Integration has been nearly flawless, with hours saved every week on automatic invoice due date production. Despite many offers of more involved training, Cin7 is so logically constructed that we taught ourselves, with the aid of available on-line help resources and the occasional email or phone conference with our mentor. Having a dedicated project manager from Cin7 to guide us through the 'onboarding' process was brilliant, saving the usual frustration of explaining the same thing to multiple people in a standard help desk environment. Our manager really took the time to understand how we do business and then show us how our requirements could best be implemented. Staggeringly we had some customization specific to our needs built into the platform in a matter of hours during the onboarding process. The whole task of switching from old to new could not have been any more straightforward. I look forward to becoming more adept with Cin7 and using what I learn to increase productivity while bettering the interaction between our business and our customers.
