Well I love \[sensitive content hidden\]. And I'm so glad she got stuck with me for the implementation, it went really well, and I'd say overall, I wish I had switched to Daysmart a long time ago.

Pros

Customer service! I appreciate the prompt, humans that pop on any time we have questions. The software is really customizable, and it's been a great way to make our practice more efficient. It works with Vetcove pharmacy which means all of our online Rx are right there in the medical records making it so much easier to keep strong medical records. We are just starting wellness plans, and I think that's going to be a great feature.

Cons

I wish it would allow us to send bulk emails/texts for marketing. I also wish letters weren't sent out as a link, but that the actual letters was in the email/text. It would look better and be more readable for clients. I wish that forms and letters and attachments were built more into the snapshot, it's hard to get doctors/techs to toggle, so in the snapshot it would be great if there was a hyperlink to labwork. Sometimes it just needs to be IN THEIR FACE.

Its my all time favorite vet medicine software and i wished it was used everywhere. Its easy to learn. Its pretty much impossible to "get lost" while using it.

Pros

After using Cornerstone, Avimarkand and EzyVet, DaySmart is the most user friendlier software of them all. The learning curve was the easiest from all of the software's listed above. The ease to find Patients previous history, previous treatments, prescriptions used in the past, managing the inventory, communication with IDEXX labs is smooth, even if client is a frequent no show no call is easy to track. Customer service is quick and easy. With previous software's we had to wait days to resolve any issues and there was the issue that IT was in a different time zone or had heavy accents we found challenging to communicate with. Daysmart is my all time favorite and i wished it was used everywhere.

Cons

We can send text messages to clients but they can't reply to us. We have to use a separate software for live communication with clients which does not log onto Day Smart. That's disappointing. Also, not being able to separate which pet gets the discounts (since its not a one size fits all situation).

It is always a pleasure to speak with \[sensitive content hidden\], I truly hope she stays with the company. When I am able to reach her I always feel like I am talking with a long distance friend. I believe DaySmart Vet is performing well and I support the changes!

Pros

The DaySmart Vet team is always looking for ways to improve their software. The system is easy to use and you are not limited in many ways. They take into consideration ways they can continue to develop their software. Which is truly needed to keep up with the world as it continues to grow with the veterinary field. I almost always reach support when I call or use the chat box right away. And if I do not reach anyone they will callback. There has been times I didn't leave a voicemail and someone still called back. I would work for DaySmart Vet if I could handle being a fulltime mom plus practice manager!

Cons

When there is enhancement request I understand this takes time to fulfill. There can be some miscommunication when requesting for updates like possibly the DaySmart team member needs more training to know how the system fully works. And I say that because we have utilized DaySmart Vet when it was called Vetter, so a good amount of years. I would like to encourage training for all DaySmart staff as updates occur.

Overall they program is decent. They do have a lot of the features we wanted for an affordable price.

Pros

The ease of use and being able to teach my staff the new system even after switching from paper charts to computer was fairly easy.

Cons

Set up was kind of hard as there is no set up from the company. There where some topics on vaccines that should of been discussed when setting up inventory.

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed using DaySmart. It’s user-friendly, cloud-based, and offers more tools and flexibility than we had with Cornerstone.

Pros

I really love the scheduler—it’s so easy to move and update appointments, and the icons make communication between teams seamless (checked in, in room, etc.). The integrated payments and ability to securely keep cards on file are huge advantages. I also appreciate how customizable the medical notes, forms, and letters are—it makes everything feel tailored to our workflow. Customer support is always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. Plus, some of the recent updates have been fantastic and have really improved my daily workflow.

Cons

I think the reports section in DaySmart could be stronger—I’d love to see more detailed reports on estimates and wellness plans in particular. Our transition from Cornerstone to DaySmart was a bit clunky, and we encountered quite a few bugs early on (for example, patient profile photos didn’t transfer and many breeds imported incorrectly). I also wish the integrated payments system were a bit easier to use; we’ve had to tighten our refund process, which has unfortunately led to some frustrated clients.

### "New DaySmart Customer! "

Overall I am very pleased with with DaySmart Vet and glad that we made the switch when we did! Being full time reception and full time PM I can say that it does help and save me on the most busiest days.

Pros

What I like most with DaySmart Vet is how everything is in one click or another. Everything is easy to find and locate. Most for myself is keeping my inventory together and update to date.

Cons

Currently my only thing right now is checking out with a patient that got a rabies certificate and the tag number not showing up even though we added it during check out.

Overall I am very pleased with the program. It has greatly improved once it became DaySmart versus when it was Vetter.

Pros

Being a cloud based software that we can use from our phones or laptops after hours is super helpful. Lately they have been adding a lot of features, which is great to make the program even better are more user friendly. Love being able to do online chat with customer support versus having to call in.

Cons

The cost to all of the add on features starts to become quite expensive, but still worth the convenience. I have used many other practice management softwares, and have liked this one the best.

### "Our experience converting to DaySmart Vet"

Our hospital has had a great experience using DaySmart Vet. Trainers know everything there is for us to learn and prepare us thoroughly prior to transitioning to this software. There are recorded modules for us to review and reference as needed, Help desk has AI and human staff members to work with.

Pros

DaSmart Vet is very easy to use, and the help desk staff are very easy to work with. They will stick with our questions until we are completely satisfied. This software is very intuitive, and we are learning many facets all of the time. We have only had DaySmart Vet for 1 month, and things transitioned very smoothly from our previous program.

Cons

I can't say that I've seen any cons at this time! We do not have an option to round prices up to the next dollar, however DaySmart has documented this request, and hopefully in the near future this option will be available to us. DaySmart Vet updates regularly to make process improvements.

May 2025 we transitioned over to Daysmart Vet. The team I worked with was very efficient and well trained on the process. We met at regular intervals to prepare the different areas we needed to make the transition painless and accurate. very good and very helpful and accessible. I feel that we have given the daysmart team many obstacles and they have always tried (and mostly succeeded) coming up with solutions to hiccups.

Pros

it is buildable for each practice. It is geared to full service vets rather than shelters and spay neuter clinics, but with all of the new services that shelters and clinics are providing, this would work perfectly

Cons

the lack of a drug log that allows bottle numbers and negative usage is a HUGE problem in the state of Va. Also the integration from our old system did not go as planned, but that was not a daysmart problem, rather a problem with out old software that did not want to release the information.

Pros

Choosing DaySmart Vet for our practice management software has been one of the best decisions for our clinic! Everyone on our team is thrilled with the ease and efficiancy of this program. Updates and improvements are continually rolling out. Communication between support and user is incredible! We are able to schedule our appointments, manage our patients, keep detailed records and all of it takes less time and effort than it did with our previous PiMS. So many easy to use resources and tools. We are very pleased!

Cons

We are still early in our use of DaySmart and have a lot to learn. But, currently there isn't anything that stands out. Overall, we are very pleased.

It’s better than some systems but still needs some work. The customer support is always helpful no matter the issue you bring to the table.

Pros

DaySmart is an easy to understand program. When I help train new employees they can pick up on it very easily.

Cons

Sometimes it feels like the people who created it have never worked in a vet hospital. There’s a few things they could update to really improve the system and my efficiency at work.

Excellent experience over all. The customer support is great; if I have an issue is is addressed promptly and effectively be friendly support staff.

Pros

DaySmart vet is easy to navigate and teaching new employees/temporary employees is not a problem at all. Great customer service and competitive pricing compared to similar products.

Cons

I cannot really think of anything negative about DaySmart Vet. It is fairly priced, printed records are easier to read than other product's records.

overall daysmart helps keep our Veterinary Practice running smoothly and in an easy to use format. The way the website works is really easy to navigate and easy for our clients to understand as well.

Pros

The option to chat with a live person to solve real time issues is something that hard to come by. The customer support is also top notch when calling. They are really kind and always eager to help.

Cons

Sometimes there are bugs every once in a while with our payment system but the customer support team is always helpful

### "Overall, Brilliant Software and Excellent Support team"

Overall extremely good. In the 10 years we have been with daysmart the software has been extremely stable in fact I cannot remember any time at all where it has gone offline or had any major faults- it has never let us down, and thats saying something- so a very reliable platform. In 10 years, a handful of minor issues (maybe 2 or 3) were quickly identified and remedied by the Daysmart support team. Also the communication between the support team and users is brilliant and the support team have always been helpful, polite and really friendly when we have contacted them for queries, special requests or feedback.

Pros

Very user-friendly and extremely functional practice software at a fair cost for Veterinary practices. The platform is uncluttered with an intuitive layout making it a pleasure to use. Excellent back-up support. We have been with Daysmart Vet since our inception and value it both in-clinic and also on housecall rounds (via Ipad)

Cons

Unfortunately Daysmart, being an overseas-based software, does not integrate with Australian Pet Insurance platforms for "Gap-Only" payments for clients, but this is not Daysmarts fault - a logistical deficiency brought about by distant location and we accept this, given the many major advantages of the software.

Reason for choosing DaySmart Vet

1\. at that time there were very few software platforms that were Housecall friendly and being web-based, our medical notes fully integrated "live" with the in clinic system and thus it was a favoured choice. The other platforms back then struggled with I-pad mobile integration. 2) Also, we were (and still are) a smaller, low-volume and high-care clinic (not production-line style) and found that Daysmart had one of the most reasonable monthly cost structures for us. The other platforms seemed to have a starting subscription that were quite taxing on a one-vet practice starting up but Daysmart ( or Vetter as it was called then) were very fair to us small clinics. 3) and, although we didn't quite realise it at the time, Daysmart suited us the best as we did not NEED (or necessarily want) all the myriad of features that a practice software comes with, and Daysmart gave us the Excellent day-to-day software we all need to run our practices without the clutter of "over-features". We can however opt-in to those extra features should we desire them. Also, visiting nurses/vet techs and other vets always comment on how good our software is when they see it being used (Daysmart is not that commonly used downunder as they don't market it down here). Notably... they say it has far "less clicks" needed to get the job done in day to day use.

### "Convenient and Great Tech Support"

The DaySmart staff is super helpful, the system can do a lot on it's own instead of needing multiple services.

Pros

DaySmart is is a very convenient and quick learning scheduling software. If there is something you do not know the help desk/tech support assistants are highly knowledgeable and super quick to assist you with your issues. DaySmart is constantly coming out with improvements and updates.

Cons

Some of the personalization is limited in how you can truly set up how you want your system to look. It is very basic and "ready to use" in that sense.

Very good customer support, easy scheduling, reliable reminders, interfaces well with Idexx, allows us to save x-rays and imaging to files. Happy we made the switch--no regrets!

Pros

Daysmart Vet has everything I need to help my housecall practice run smoothly. I love the text and email messaging that comes from the PIMS system so everything is saved to patients' records. The onboarding was very helpful and smooth. Customer support has also been rapid and reliable. I'm so glad I made the switch to Daysmart. We also love knowing appointment reminders are always sent. It also reliably interfaces with Idexx and can handle a lot of attachments. The price is comparable to our old system--a little more but worth it for the better product.

Cons

I wish voice dictation were easier. I've done the Daisy demo but it did not seem much better than just dictating into my iphone.

Overall I really do like it, but the things I mentioned are things the entire staff would like to see updated.

Pros

I like the ease of it being a cloud based system. Adding communication is so much easier than our old system. Really like the ability to instantly add photo's to a patient chart that are sent via SMS message.

Cons

I do not like that the system does not recognize what patient you have pulled in Daysmart when you go to the calendar to look for appointments. You have to keep two tabs open so you are aware of who you are talking to. Our old system recognized this when we scheduled appointments, so there was no need to have to look back or keep multiple tabs It is not useful to only be able to do that from their chart when choosing a specific doctor. Most of the time we need to look at the calendar as a whole to see where we can fit a sick patient in with ANY doctor. I also think all appointments should require a patient name in order to complete the appointment. I also really wish they would move the "notes" pop up box to go in between settings tab and the search bar. Having it pop up directly over the search bar or date tabs, is really inconvenient. It is nice that you can move it, but it would be so much better if it was in a space where it was not blocking anything else, and therefore did not need to be moved aside.

It has been a good program. I like that it is customizable but not overly so. They continue to add helpful features which is great. Since it is constantly being updated it doesn't get dated buuuttt just like many dynamic programs, recent updates can lead to big headaches.

Pros

I love that it is cloud based. I am a mobile practice so I use cell data to be able to go from house to house. Not too click heavy and generally intuitive for the most part. Many add on features that come with the program.

Cons

The text boxes for exam forms do not allow for rich text. I like to bold my abnormals. Many add ons, but some are more robust than others creating headaches at times. My quickbooks doesn't always play nice with the program but I love that it brings done my admin time. I just wish they would remit tax appropriately when transferring from quickbooks.

Highly recommend! I love how easy it is to figure everything out and to get help with problems. I have worked with Avimark, and getting help in certain aspects is not nearly as easy!

Pros

Super easy to learn, and if you have questions the staff helps really quickly with all problems! Super easy for clients to pay for invoices through multiple different avenues. Fairly inexpensive to a lot of veterinary practice programs!

Cons

It does have a good amount of steps to get to different areas. If it flowed a little better that would be helpful. Or to open 2 different things at one time.

### "Helpful and friendly"

Overall it is pretty positive. It is difficult for our less tech-savvy staff to work with. We are a mobile equine vet with 3 veterinarians so scheduling can get hectic. The customer service is supportive and helpful but sometimes feels limited in what they can do.

Pros

Their customer support is always friendly even in frustrating situations. I like that it is cloud based so that we can all access it from anywhere.

Cons

It is not a very user-friendly interface. I wish it was more mobile friendly. Several of the enhancements we have asked for have sat for well over a year.

### "Daysmart stands apart from the rest"

Over all I have been happy using daysmart for over 8 years. As other companies have approached us to use theirs like Patterson's PMS or IDEXX PMS, after testing them out, they still can't touch the level of robustness that daysmart has.

Pros

What I like most is that the platform does have an easy flow about it. You can go from a patient to the client easy and from the record item to the invoice with one click. I have liked the more recent changes where the record items are being put into the plan. I have seen where other PMS (Practice Management Software) do this and we have requested it for years and it is now a feature we can enjoy.

Cons

If I had to give a part that I like least about Daysmart, is the features / add ons. We may ask to have a feature like "easy in hospital communications board" that I have seen on another PMS but we will get a notification that Daysmart has added a new add on that would cost $x.xx that maybe no one asked for. I get it a company needs to make money but in my humble opinion if you build something with all these complimentary features than you can charge more for all of them together instead of "piece meal"-ing things

Regarding in-hospital communications board, earlier this year we rolled out MAJOR enhancements to our treatment board and do have a way to disply it on a montor in-clinic and that functionality is included for everyone. ### "Great platform; Great support"

We opened a new clinic and within 18 months of opening, we were sick of the software we chose initially. We switched to DaySmart Vet and have been completely suatisfied with the platform and the support.

Pros

DaySmart Vet is very flexible and customizable. Customer support is great. I love being able to make templates for medical notes (for example for cat spays) then fill in the blanks. I do spays the same way every time. This saves me from having to retype my process in every cat spay SOAP.

Cons

I have no complaints. The Help menu is extensive but sometimes it isn't enough. When that happens, support tickets can be opened and are quickly taken care of.

Hippo was not flexible enough. After setup, we did not get adequate support.

Satisfied with most aspects of how it works for me and the evolution of the program continues to find helpful ways to improve my workflow

Pros

Works well for my style of work flow and easy accessible in the field and very quick responses on customer service and help questions

Cons

I wish the option of relationship for “leasing” could count as a party that could pay invoices; I have many patients. This would be the most appropriate set up, but I have to put the person as an owner to allow them to be able to pay the invoice.

### "Wonderful System"

I love it! I have used multiple other systems in my 20 years and this is one of the easiest. The setup took less time than other systems I have setup. It has a lot of features and integrations that are helpful.

Pros

I LOVE DaySmart! It is so easy to use and they are constantly upgrading it with things we request. It is easy to request changes and you are able to vote on other people's recommendations. It is easy to email or text people their invoices, forms, certificates and more. Clients can pay online easily or we can put their card on file. The app for clients is great. They can see all of their documents and request refills. I made most of our forms and it was easy to figure out. The setup process is easier than some other systems. Making adjustments to inventory is also super easy.

Cons

Sometimes our clients get confused with our DaySmart texts because they come from a different number than our clinic number. It would be nice if the DaySmart texts came from our number.

Our Vet had used DaySmart/Vetter before. I had used and helped set up EzyVet. We both used Idexx Neo at our last practice. When we talked about the setup differences and we realized DaySmart was much easier to setup.

Thank you for your review. Good news -- if you contact our support, we may be able to use your business number to send/receive SMS messages. It's called 'SMS porting' and as long as your business phone number isn't used for any texting service currently, we can port it to be used for SMS messages sent/received in our software.
