Pros: Excellent and timely support.
Always making improvements and adding features.
Available anywhere. As a housecall vet this is extremely important.
Never having to do a backup again - it's all taken care of by Vetter.
Being able to access my records from anywhere and even print labels at the office from anywhere
The online community is very helpful.
Basically this has made my housecall practice easier and my records more complete and organized.

Cons: I am having a hard time coming up with a con. I don't use the appointment schedule much and would like to have my Google calendar sync with it if possible. That's about it.

We began using Vetter as a start up business 1 1/2 yrs ago and have been very happy with the company

Pros: We liked the pay as you go / grow option initially and that it was straightforward to use. The team that introduced me to the software was wonderful and the customer service /tech staff is always helpful and available. New staff members can easily pick up use of the system as well.

Cons: There is a lot of clicking at times but some of those issues have improved with feedback given. We wish some fields would autopopulate with answers to save time. Otherwise not a lot of complaints.

Overall we have had a positive experience and have recommended the system to others.

Pros: The ease of use is really helpful. There are multiple ways to achieve a goal. It is great to be able to email the client directly from the software. Being able to have templates for discharge instructions, forms, etc. that can be personalized easily is handy. The reports available are very helpful, and lately have been continuing to improve. The ability to be selective on what part of a patient record gets emailed to other clinics is convenient. Having the pop up reminder notes is incredibly beneficial for internal communication purposes.

Cons: There seems to be a lack of communication about when the changes to the system are implemented, for example: we will clock in and something is different and we have to stumble through. As per any system, there are still flaws in the inventory setup, in our opinion the biggest being the differentiation between an inventory item and a procedure and not currently being given the choice to choose between the two. Also, the billing piece is less intuitive if you do not have accounting experience.

Overall: Greater client communication. Greater internal communication. Much improved ease of use from our last software.

Vetter saves our lives on a daily basis!

Pros: We like that we can access it on our smartphones whenever and wherever we need it. We also like that we can run reports off of it, to use for paying PST, looking at our business' growth, etc. I also LOVE the amazing customer support, I've been blown away by the incredible service so far.

Cons: I dislike that it is not integrated with google calendar.
I dislike that it is interfaced with only American veterinary supply companies/labs and not the ones that we use in Canada, because we can't tap into many of vetter's best features.

Overall: Mobile use of a digitalized records system, it saves time in making invoices and medical records, we don't need to worry about making backups to save our records in the incidence of a fire or flood...

I have a mobile practice and Vetter Software makes keeping track of clients and patients a breeze.

Pros: I appreciate the ease of use and incredible support. The best part for me is that I can access the software when I'm on the road. I can write up my records when I finish the appointment so everything is fresh in my mind. Most "in-house" software allows this, but Vetter allows me to do it from anywhere in my practice area. Because it's active on my iPad at all times, if I get a phone call from a client, I can view all of the information immediately, again, no matter where I'm at. I also appreciate the attentive support. They can always solve the problem within a short period of time. Upgrades are often based on input from users, so they tend to be helpful. Great product.

Cons: No professional software is perfect, but for my practice, it applies 98% of the time. I would like an easier way to track mileage (have to use inventory to track it now). Would like to be able to design my own letters and be able to email them from within the program without a charge.

Overall: Ability to use it on the road with my mobile practice.

Pros: Transitioning to vetter was surprisingly simple, our employees old and new picked up on it very quickly and I really love the integration with lab work and the ease of sharing records via email, fax directly from the database.

Cons: The constant updating is hard to keep up with, but I realize that this comes in response to the user's feedback, so it's a good thing.

Overall: the ability to be able to go home and finish up my notes later, ease of communicationg with clients and sharing records

Pros: Vetter is easily accessible for me being on the road. The customer support team are incredible attentive and helpful with any and all questions, problems/issues are handled immediately. Highly recommended!

Cons: There are still a few features I would like to see added, but I know they are always working to add new features.

Pros: Vetter is flexible, intuitive, well-organized and helps us manage every aspect of our clinic. Even though we are a not-for-profit located in Chile, we still have to run our clinic like a business, and it has really helped us get there. We have veterinary projects in a number of different countries, and we have been able to quite easily modify everything from forms to inventory items to accommodate our different project needs. We are also required to evaluate our project success and Vetter has made it really easy with the numerous reports available. We have even been able to translate the text for our non-English speakers. The best thing however, is the staff willingness to help us out and make this work for us, no matter how strange the request! They are always there, and have always been so personable and approachable. In our opinion, the customer care is what really makes Vetter so amazing.

Cons: It is not available offline which can make it difficult to use in remote areas and the inventory section took a while to learn.

Overall: The main benefit that we, as an organization, gain from this software, is the ability to evaluate how and what we are doing. We can create reports about how many dogs vs cats, how many sx's vs vaccines vs procedures, how many appointments in one country versus another, what community our clients are coming from, and much much more. This information is critical for us in terms of annual reporting to our following, but also to plan for the upcoming year, and is equally useful to a clinic that is run strictly as a business.

This software is the future of veterinary medicine!

Pros: - Vetter provides monthly updates/upgrades and the development team is constantly improving the software based on user feedback
-User friendly from day one
- Accessible from any device, and at home!
- Very cost effective as compared to traditional server-based software
- Automatically saves all content as you type it
- Customizable for small and large clinics

Cons: - Constantly having to login when changing devices slows down appointments and checkout
- New features/integrations often have an additional price tag associated with them; the advertised monthly costs for using Vetter can be misleading, as they charge extra for things that are essential for the software to function (such as the Authorize.net integration)
- Unable to enter appointments or tasks by searching for patient name; this can only be done by searching by client name

Vetter has been so very helpful in my mobile practice. It is easy to use and efficient.

Pros: I love that the software is cloud based, so truly mobile and accessible anywhere. It has been both very helpful and exciting to see the software updated and improved over the years.

Cons: There are still several features I would really like to have added, such as a mobile app for phone numbers, maps, and emails and more complete Google integration.

Pros: I enjoy the easy to use formatting of Vetter. It contains most of the basic functions that I need to run our dog sanctuary medical department efficiently. I am complimented on a regular basis regarding the detail and organization of our records. Tech support is very helpful.

Cons: I dislike a few of the features (such as a repeat appointment feature of "every month" schedules a repeat appointment for the next month on the same numerical day vs. four weeks from the date on the same day of the week). I wish there were a few other modifications to entering charges/records that prevented human error (i.e. requiring certain fields or being able to connect different records to a reminder field)

Overall: Cost effective software that organizes our medical records in an easily accessible way. I only work part time so the cloud based software allows me to interpret results from home if needed.

Vetter has helped transform our house call practice to be fully functional while on the go.

Pros: Looks pleasing to the eye and is so easy to use. Ability to navigate easily among clients, patients, billing, med records, etc. Very affordable with a great support staff there with us since the beginning.

Cons: Still some features not available-yet. Inventory set up can be a little confusing. Still some rigidity on modifications to certain documents produced.

Pros: Customer Service is fantastic and they are quick to fix a problem within minutes of contacting them via email or phone.

Cons: Inability to use the program if I cannot get an internet signal, but very rarely happens. In some areas it could be an issue with a mobile practice.

Pros: The ability to access the system on the road as long as I can connect to the internet. The customer service has also be phenomenal!

Cons: That I have to be connected to the internet to access my files. I wish we could use it off line. Overall, I haven't had any major dislikes to this system.

Overall: As an ambulatory equine practitioner, I have ease of access from the road. I also do not have to worry about backing up my files as there will always be there.

Really enjoy working with Vetter, wonderful customer support and responsiveness and very intuitive!

Pros: Cost effective if kept simple and you do not try to leverage the system

Cons: See comments - overall poor programming ultimately

Overall: Long and short is that for the cost (if you are small, limited staff, and do not attempt to leverage the system), it is a good deal. Customer service is very good and responsive and you will get the basics you need for an essential EMR.

Now for the bad:
-- First, they always promise way more functionality than they ever deliver.
-- They have a base cost w/ up charges to use areas in the system such as boarding, wellness plans, and DICOM storage, which in turn is all very expensive in a very expensive software.
-- You can only use one log on per location per user. This becomes a problem is if you need to log into a computer elsewhere in the clinic while already being logged in elsewhere you will be logged out of the other location with your place lost.
-- Their word processors built into the system are horrendous (i.e. always lose formatting when copy & pasting, adding additional spaces for no reasons, and adding bullets, bolding, etc requires doing extra steps, etc) and their templates, which you create, suffer accordingly.
-- There is no quick check for pricing.
--Reminder system is very fragmented and difficult to keep track of without giving your staff access to ALL of the reports, including financial.
-- Calendar is glitchy and they have been promising google integration for YEARS now, and it is still ¿in the works¿.
-- Tasks are equally glitchy and difficult to keep straight and track of.
-- There have been at least 4, yes 4, periods of the cloud going down for at least 30-60 minutes and from we were told, it was do to programming issues on their end, which does not increase any confidence.
-- The number of clicks to move around the system are far more than the magic 3 they claim, typically more along the lines of 4-6 for the majority of items/tasks.

Comments: I am very pleased with Vetter for managing my one doctor, small animal veterinary practice. The software is very user-friendly and intuitive without a lot of complicated steps. Overall: We were about to open a new clinic, and were searching for practice management software, when we found the free trial offer from Vetter Software. At first we were hesitant about cloud software, but wow, I'm so glad we tried it. Vetter software is very reliable, easy to use and had all the features we needed for our practice. I was absolutely amazed at how good the customer service is, as they quickly responded all our emails, or calls with answers to all our questions. The software itself is user friendly, and teaching the rest of the staff how to use it was quick and easy. I really like that they are constantly updating it, and adding even more features. Overall the experience with Vetter Software has been amazing, and I would recommend it always.

Recommendations to other buyers: Give it a try! At first we werent sure about cloud or web based software, but trying Vetter Software has been the best thing we have done!

Comments: As one of their first customers, I can honestly say that my experience with both the software and the Team and has been nothing less than exceptional! When I first opened my mobile veterinary acupuncture practice, the biggest obstacle I faced was finding a way to manage my medical records, client information, billing, inventory, etc. I needed a system that was easily accessed, flexible, affordable and easy to use. I found all of that, and then some, with Vetter. The Customer Support Team patiently walked me thru step by step how to get started. I love the fact that there is a Vetter Community now, offering many ideas and answers to FAQs. I also love that I am able to make my own medical record template, client letters and much more. They offer a plethora of features and functionality and the fact that it is cloud based allows me to access my records from anywhere. Vetter values the opinions and experience of their user base and makes upgrades as necessary to provide the very best system out there. Going with Vetter software was, hands down, one of the best decisions I made for my practice. Thank you Vetter!!!

Comments: Vetter Software is a perfect fit for our in-home hospice practice. The value and customer service they offer is unparalleled, and it has continued to be so "long after the sale." There is a bit of learning curve to using the software (what robust platform doesn't have this?), but the Vetter team has always been promptly there to help every step of the way. I do wish the software was a little more customizable (fonts, logo placement, design), but this is a small factor when compared to all that they offer. Vetter is one of those rare businesses where you feel like they actually know you and care despite how many other practices they serve. I researched and trialed eight different practice software companies prior to choosing Vetter, and I can say that going with Vetter has been one of the best decisions I've made for our practice. Pros: Vetter's strengths are the team of people that help you learn the software, its ease of use and affordability.

Cons: That I waited almost two years before implementing the software--lots of transition from paper to paperless.

Overall: I have been operating a mobile Veterinary Service for the past three years. Choosing and implementing Vetter has been the most impacting change of this past calendar year. I only wish I had started it when I first began the business.

Recommendations to other buyers: I recommend anyone in the market for Veterinary Software take a product demonstration and evaluate how the product works.

Comments: I started searching for a new veterinary practice management software platform in 2014. At the time, I was getting ready to sell my urban brick and mortar general practice so I can develop my mobile practice focused on hospice and palliative care services for animals and their families.
Compared to other programs in the market, Vetter Software was extremely easy to get started with in every respect. Switching from Cornerstone to Vetter felt like switching from riding an elephant to riding a Bedouin-trained Arabian mare.
Vetter Software is competitively priced ¿ in fact, I could use it for FREE long enough to get familiar with its features and make an informed decision to continue using it. Shortly before my second anniversary using Vetter Software I upgraded my contract to a long-term fixed rate, which is also competitive.
Using a web-based platform for managing my practice, I can access and update my patients¿ and clients¿ information anytime, no matter where I am. I enjoy the freedom from concerns about maintenance and upgrading costs of expensive hardware.
Vetter Software¿s features are practically-oriented and are an excellent fit for my practice¿s needs. Their customer support is quick to respond to questions and requests.
Switching to Vetter Software helped me make a smooth transition from stationary to mobile practice and to grow from a new practice to an established one. I¿m very happy with the choice I made and would definitely recommend it to my colleagues.

The customer care is excellent , always prompt and time conscious.
This is the right veterinary software either you are a solo practitioner or multi doctor practice

Comments: I had used Avimark for 15 years and wanted to make a switch to a cloud based system. The support team at Vetter could not have been more helpful. They converted all of my files over for me and helped my staff with the transition as well. The software is easy to learn, use and the updates are always helpful. I am able to access client files and staff questions any time from my phone, home computer, or tablet. I even wrote a prescription and sent it to my printer in California while sitting on a boat off the shore of Oahu. Thank you Vetter team!

Pros: Comprehensive, easy to use software that does it all for our clinic. No back-ups to worry about, and we use Mac computers so compatability isn't an issue.

Cons: dependent on a good internet connection, so it's sometimes slow on the weekend. Also sometimes kicks us off so we need to log on.

Overall: We opened our cat hospital over a year ago and Vetter has been an integral part of the practice right from the start. Vetter works seamlessly with our busy little clinic, and truly meets all our medical record keeping needs. But it is much more than that.. we use it to manage scheduling, inventory, lab reports, accounting reports, communications and reminders. I never have to worry about security breaches, daily backups, networks going down, or accessibility. From home I can check my schedule or look up a patient's file during after-hours calls. Vetter's capabilities are vast, and we probably haven't tapped into its fullest potential yet, and maybe never will, because they keep upgrading and adding new features (some of which we've even suggested!). It only gets better, but the best part of all is their phenomenal customer support. Vetter is second to none.

Recommendations to other buyers: Give it a try. Take the time to get used to how to navigate, but you'll find there are a lot of smart shortcuts and it doesn't take long to find your way around. If you don't like something, make a comment. If you think something is missing, suggest it. The support is great, don't be afraid to ask for help.

Pros: Phenomenal customer service; works intuitively; adjustable pricing; cloud-based, so no backing-up needed or taking up wads of disk space on my laptop

Cons: Would be great if it had a workable iPhone interface. Very occasionally encounter a bug.

Overall: I have been using Vetter since December 2013, six months after I started my housecall practice. It was an immediate and vast improvement over paper records, and also was noticeably easier to use than Avimark, which I had worked with at a brick-and-mortar clinic where I worked previously.

Since that time, I've been continuously and regularly impressed with so many aspects of the product. I love that it is customizable for the size of my practice, with pricing based on patient number, data storage, and number of users. I love the unbelievably fast and thorough response I get from customer service whenever I have an issue. The vast majority of the time, the product works wonderfully; the few times it doesn't, my problem is quickly addressed. I am a recovering perfectionist, so I have very high standards. I have to be honest and say that the occasional bugs I have encountered over the past three years do bother me; but I think every product has this issue, to some extent, and it is obvious that Vetter management and staff are always striving to give us a better product. There are frequent updates which add very handy features, and yet Vetter remains an easy-to-use interface that works intuitively, which is not true for any other PMS I have encountered. Nothing is 100% perfect, but Vetter is 99% there-- and the consistently off-the-charts-great customer service makes up for the rare glitches. I cannot emphasize enough how they consistently hit that one way, way out of the park.

I also want to note that I just hired a tech one day a week, who works in a different brick-and-mortar practice the rest of the week. She, too, is impressed by Vetter's functionality and ease-of-use. She mastered it quickly with minimal training from me, and commented that it works much more intuitively than the system they use at her other job.

Comments: Vetter is a great product. It was very easy to learn how to use and customize to our practice. Highly functional system with a wide array of features. You can make the system as simple or complex as you need. Customer support is extremely responsive and usually gets back to us within minutes. The sliding scale fee structure made Vetter a financially attractive option when we were starting our practice and the robust functionality and technical support has kept us as satisfied customers now that we have grown.

Pros: The software is easy to use and navigate that was important when I first started. One of the features that I appreciate is the communication key this is something that easily tracks emails and text messages. My communication log is all in one place and easy to reference.

Cons: I wish there was a phone friendly app for the field.

Overall: The software is easy to navigate and intuitive to use. I'm a mobile veterinarian and this has been great to use in the field! Technical support is literally one click, or phone call away. Technical support is prompt to resolve the problem. Hands down, the best technical support team when compared to other software companies.

Overall: I am an owner of a mobile veterinary service and I was looking for a software where I can access my client information as well as record my inventory in a fast and easy way. Pros: Since it is cloud-based, it is accessible from anywhere with internet access

Cons: The internet service requirement can also be the limiting factor in poor service areas

Pros: Ease of use and very intuitive. Mobile friendly - I use it on my tablet, phone, and desktop simultaneously.

Cons: Obviously built for small animal practice, but it adding more equine and large-animal specific factions every upgrade. I look forward to being able to really use it for my Syndicated equine patients, and advanced billing options (horse is billed to the trainer, not the owner) in the near future.

Overall: I started up my own equine ambulatory practice from scratch, and Vetter was recommended to me by another practitioner AND my Patterson representative. I found the demo to be very helpful, and the free first 100 patients absolutely got me hooked. Colleagues and clients cannot believe that I have a practice management program that does my inventory, reminders, staff management, ordering, medical records, and billing all at once at a build-your-own-package cost. I have already recommended it to every other startup that I know. Absolutely the best deal out there - and customer service, interactions, and sales has been perfect. I plan on growing my practice and possibly opening several buildings - and the software will grow with me and accommodate my needs. 100% on board.

Recommendations to other buyers: This, my friends, is the new gold standard for practice management software. Traditional companies should take note and step up.

Pros: Ease of use, good integration between information fields, support, willingness of company to listen to suggestions and implement them. Lots of ability to customize!

Cons: Not happy that it is 100 % cloud based because I travel in areas where reception can be poor. But this is not really the fault of vetter. I keep a backup paper file which increases my work load a bit.

Overall: I've been using this for my mobile veterinary practice and gave been very pleased. I was able to start for free and clients as I grew. The group is very responsive to suggestions and customer support is beyond outstanding. I'm a bit of a computer idiot and have had my hand held with patience every (amazingly few) times that I have had issues.

Recommendations to other buyers: I recommend it very much and have been super happy using it.

Comments: My practice would not even exist if it weren't for Vetter software. Truly,
without it, I could not have realized my dream of founding a professional AND very personal house call practice.
I knew, as a small start-up house call practice, that I could not afford the "traditional" softwares that I've used at various clinics. But trying to figure out how to assemble templates, how to invoice, generate reminders was definitely not working-so my business was only inching along as it required so much to form medical records, reminders, professional invoices, scheduling...
I heard about Vetter- checked it out, and was immediately impressed. How often do you call a company and talk to the CEO directly? I spoke to Sagi frequently. Through a telephone/computer conference, Sagi helped me get started.It is a very intuitive software. With very little effort, I was comfortable with the software.
I also am tremendously grateful for the initial patients free- for me, that has not only been helpful from the standpoint of a startup small house call practice, but really, without it, again, there was no way for me to grow the business while also "being the doctor", and provide my clients and patients with distinctive, personal care.
Lastly, Vetter's customer service is hands down, the best in the field. Questions are answered almost immediately, there is no difficulty reaching anyone-no matter what time. In addition, Vetter LISTENS to its veterinarians--they add updates to software based on what we are asking for. Vetter is constantly evolving by identifying areas that can be improved, and by adding new features that enhance and expand the utility of the software. Every update makes a positive difference and translates to enhanced experience and efficiency.
Lastly, I am a very small practice. The Vetter group, however, does not 'discriminate', if you will, and you would think my practice was a multi-million dollar hospital. Given the experience I have had, I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to use Vetter in the traditional brick and mortar setting.
If you are looking for a cloud based software, you've found it.
If you are not looking, you should be. Vetter will surpass your every expectation, as it has done for me, and continues to do.

Comments: This software has been integral to helping grow my start-up holistic practice. Intuitive function, ease of use, lightening fast customer service, streamlined inventory, record keeping and billing. I thank them in my head every day for making my life so much easier. Compared to my previous life with (ugh!) paper records, fax machines, and ancient non-web based software, I'd say this company has nailed it. Vetter software has incorporated lots of little tricks to make business record keeping, transactions, client communication, reminders, referrals, really just about everything you do during a typical work day, just a few steps easier. At the end of the day, that adds up to leaving the office on time! Plus the software has been basically free so far. I don't know how it could get any better (but it continually does...). Comments: Pros: affordable/scalable pricing for small businesses and start-ups, responsive customer service and design team, willingness to listen to needs of customers, easy to learn, almost impossible to make a mistake or ruin anything, no backing up or data losses, access anywhere you have an internet connection, suitable for mobile units, most importantly: simple layout and good user interface.
Cons: no integration (yet) with Quickbooks/external calendars/maps, inventory management somewhat inelegant, customizing forms is a bit confusing, no doubt all these cons will be resolved as I've seen great advancements in the 18 months I've used the software.
