October 16, 2024 5.0 My overall experience is good, at first it's a bit overwhelming. For some basic stuff, you have the video's to get you started. Then I struggled somewhat with certain things but discovered the helpbot which made at easy to find what I was looking for. Still setting up and looking how I can use BD to the max. Pros It's a very complete platform with many options. Still discovering the details at this point. I've been using the helpbot and that was very helpful to quickly find what I was looking for. Cons The thing I'm missing the most for my use case is a real multilanguage system where the end user can select the choose language that you want. I studied the platform prior to committing any dollars to it. I took it out for a test drive with a trial. I watched the interaction in their Facebook group. Once I jumped in I knew that it would take time to build and I prepared my mind for that. Now that I know what It can do I really want to customize it more so now I need to slow down and learn some of the advanced areas. I really love working in this tool and the tech support is second to none. Pros I think what I liked most about using a tool like Brilliant Directories is the range that it presents. You can make it as small or as large as you want it to be. If you want to do a small site you can if you want to run a massive site you can do that as well. Cons I think what I like least is the way it is structured or broken out. It is not a con per se, but if you are a starter in building directories it can be overwhelming and that is not a bad thing it's just once you jump into the Brilliant Directories pool you better make darn sure you can swim or willing to put in the time to learn how to swim in that ocean. I think they should give you some type of bumpers like in bowling when you are just learning. They just give you keys to fancy million dollar car and let you go. Il y a plusieurs étapes à suivre afin d'ajouter son nom de domaine, gérer ses emails et personnaliser le design. Ces étapes sont bien documentées en vidéo. La possibilité de tout traduire en français, y compris les modèles d'emails et les formulaires d'inscription, me permet de proposer un annuaire parfaitement francophone. Le respect du RGPD est assuré avec les cases à cocher prévues à chaque fois qu'une donnée personnelle doit être saisie. J'apprécie beaucoup la possibilité de créer plusieurs plans tarifaires pour les membres, dont des gratuits. Pour chaque plan, il est possible d'octroyer des droits différents selon ce que l'on désire. J'ai du faire appel au helpdesk à deux reprises et on m'a répondu dans la journée de façon très professionnelle et précise. Pour conclure, je dirais que lorsqu'on utilise Brilliant, on sent que la plateforme existe depuis longtemps et que les développeurs l'ont fait évoluer pour tenir compte des demandes des utilisateurs. Cons Comme il existe de nombreuses fonctionnalités et que l'on peut créer une politique de droits très fine selon les plans tarifaires, il est nécessaire de tout tester afin de vérifier que cela fonctionne comme on le souhaite. Cela m'a pris pas mal de temps pour arriver au résultat optimal, malgré la documentation très abondante. Le frontend est traduit automatiquement en français, mais il reste beaucoup de mots en anglais. Pour les traduire, il est nécessaire de le faire manuellement en parcourant des dizaines d'onglets, voire de widgets, et c'est assez chronophage. Pour conclure, je dirais qu'il faut prévoir du temps pour mettre en place un système personnalisé dans lequel tout est traduit en français.
