Our experience has been excellent - this provides what we need, for a reasonable price, and is very easy to set up and use!

Pros

This product really filled a need for us at a building that doesn't have a live receptionist. We still wanted our tenants to be able to be notified when they had a client/customer, and this works perfectly for that need. We also wanted our tenants to be notified immediately when they received packages. With the Receptionist for iPad, they are notified by either an email or as a text message (whichever they prefer) right away so they can retrieve their packages without delay. We love having the knowledge that our tenants are still being taken care of when we are not able to be at the desk. It is cost effective, and very easy to program/edit. Great customer service as well!

Cons

So far, there are no cons for us. An update caused it to go down for a brief while, but they worked quickly to fix the issue, and also communicated with us throughout the process with updates!

The Receptionist for iPad fit our needs better. Greetly and Envoy were more expensive and seemed to be geared more toward a single large company, and couldn't accommodate our building with multiple smaller tenants.

Overall I've had a good experience with The Receptionist. The current price fits the product.

Pros

Capture the customers name, email, phn# and the voice prompts.

Cons

Dont have the availability to cature phone numbers correctly, dont have the availability to send sms to only certain customers, dont have availability to log customers out without stating they had an appointment, and limit analytics.

very positive experience since the beginning. Sales director is very knowledgeable and the onboarding team is also helpful. Not many visitor management software supports IPA as this is the critical function we need for our company, and The Receptionist was happy to help working with our other vendor.

Pros

user friendly and intuitive surface, reasonable price and good customer support. Sales team are pretty helpful as well.

Cons

only supports Apple devices for now. Hopefully it can support other OS so the hardware costs could be lower

Communication in general with the sales/service team has been excellent. They responded quickly with any questions we may have and immediately provided support. Shoutout to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] for providing great customer service!

Pros

The contact list and its accuracy is one of the strong points of this product. The other is the ability to integrate our Active directory. Although we have not use this product in a production environment just yet I have tested and piloted a few of the available features. I like that it is easy to customize and manage.

Cons

To be honest we haven't used it long enough to give a valid "con," we're currently waiting to move into our new office to pilot this product in a production environment.

One of the easiest platforms on the market, especially for a small business that is just getting familiar with implementing a visitor management system. The staff are very helpful and accommodated our needs as much as possible.

Pros

The setup layout is straightforward and easy to figure out and manage.

Cons

More customization for the button types. Wish we had the option to stop a visitor from registering upon check in and receive an instant notification if someone selected yes to a Covid-19 screening questions.

Pros

What I enjoy most about The Receptionist is the fact it keeps a daily log of who checks in. Working in an ITAR facility, this is a mandatory function for reporting purposes.

Cons

To date, I have not found anything to not like about this product. It has met all of our requirements.

Great experience and it has really made a difference with greeting individuals that come into our office.

Pros

Great customer experience. It is very user friendly for the guest checking in and has help reduce any confusion in the office or having multiple people go to greet that person.

Cons

It cannot always be modified to fit our needs. As an example depending on what type of button is used, the back office may NOT be able to "claim the visitor." This puts us back to having more than one person getting up to answer the door. There is a bit of a learning curve to learn the way the system works on the back end.

I appreciate the personal service via email and chat while we were deciding when to implement the system.

Pros

Since doubling our office space and increasing the number of clinicians that receive clients, The Receptionist allows us to know exactly when our client is in the lobby. No more wondering or double checking! We also love how we can make the check in message warm and friendly. Very user friendly too!

Cons

I would love to have a less expensive option of an iPad, where the only function is The Receptionist. So I am using an old iPad of my own.

So far so good. Trying to Customize the Receptionist with all the features it has to offer to our Company. I appreciate the customer support. I did also watch the 12 minute tutorial & found it helpful.

Pros

I love the visitor button and the delivery button. I was trying to get an Interview button set up under checking in, but the process confused me with too many impertinent questions for what I need the button to do. I have not had time but I will reach out to our representative Raven. I love how the software can be customizable to our Company Needs. (Returning Visitors. Delivery's so settings can notify employee of delivery.)

Cons

No way to notify 2 employees or more of a visitor or visitors waiting? Only option being 1 person.(?) But like the feature of back up notification.

We now have visitors getting addressed quickly, rather than standing around confused on what to do or where to go. Before they wandered our large lobby to find a bell to ring and I could tell they felt awkward and lost. The Receptionist has given our visitors the comfort and ease to know what to do when they arrive.

Pros

We love how quickly we can attend to a visitor and how little the wait times are for our visitors. We dont have a "front desk person" and The Receptionist has helped tremendously with our important visitors

Cons

This software is very methodical and folks have taken into consideration all possible aspects for all possible business situations. It is one of the most thorough Apps have ever used.

Positive experience for our company, with multiple locations - we've branched out our "Receptionist for iPad" program to a second location and are looking at implementation for others.

Pros

The Receptionist enabled us to align our visitor management program with US export requirements for our foreign visitors. Enabling US and Foreign Visitor ID at time of entry using the software options allows quick identification of foreign visitors, and eases the time spent in the lobby for all our Customers & Clients.

Cons

Thinking globally, we'd appreciate connection to other search engines, such as the US Consolidated Screening List (CSL) for integration into our compliance program.

Since we no longer have a Receptionist at our Front Desk, we urgently needed something to direct visitors as well as log their visit. The Receptionist for iPad looked like a "User" Friendly option and it has turned out to be a simple way to resolve our issue, without making it too complicated for the visitor.

Pros

Easy steps for setup of visitor checkin/checkout process, convenient retrieval and export of visitor logs. Also like that multiple locations can easily be setup by cloning an existing setup. Excellent customer service which always provides us with fast responses to questions.

Cons

Would like to see the software available for an android tablet as well. Would also like ability for more customizing of visitor buttons using some logic options. Since there is only room for 6 buttons maximum, would be nice if check-in process could be controlled by answers to question(s) that are presented to visitors, which in turn could follow a "what happens next" for that customer type.

It's slick, and it looks professional up front. Customers are kind of impressed, which is nice.

Pros

We use The Receptionist to allow visitors to sign in (and print visitor badges) on an iPad. It works really well, and notifies our users by SMS and email when they have a guest who has signed in.

Cons

Would really like to see it integrate with UPS, FedEx, and USPS tracking for package arrivals/notifications. This would make it much more useful to us. We're still doing packages on a paper log.

Pros

It is a simple integrated system that provides a virtual attendant for checking in visitors and notifying employees of their visitors. It also does an excellent job filtering out non appointments

Cons

We have not had any real issues with the receptionist.

Our staff is now immediately notified with a delivery is made or a client presents for a session. No more checking the lobby a dozen times! Our clients also like that the know the therapist has been notified since we do not have a traditional front desk staff.

Pros

I searched for a long time to find a check in system that would work for my office. I tried many systems and ultimately chose the receptionist because it is very easy to set up, allows for multiple offices on the same subscription, was affordable, and allowed for a customized and simple check in process. I also love that we can integrate it with Slack which we use.

Cons

I wish it worked on android devices because those are far less expensive than iPads. I also would like for the company to be willing to sign a BAA for HIPPA compliance. However, we were able to find a workaround to avoid asking for PHI from clients checking in.

This is an excellent platform to ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements for our business. Photo documentation of visitors is an added plus.

Pros

Ability to add documents such as NDAs, and custom safety documents. Trustworthy Cloud server for storage of completed forms.

Cons

Better badge printer options would be a huge plus. The quality of Brother QL-820NWB is quite poor.

Really like our implementation. It fits our needs well. The follow up customer service is exceptional.

Pros

Liked the ability to track and meet compliance of visitors. Ability to sign a visitor compliance document was a must.

Cons

Would like a few more design and font options to match our brand. Maybe a background slide show which can be changed as well as a video plays at end of sign in.
