Overall I think the program is great! It is definitely better than the program we were using but a much higher price point. Not saying it isn't worth every penny but there is a very large learning curve for how much we are paying for it and that is with a discount. I wish the program was more user friendly and not so much of a learning curve to understand everything that the program can do. I under stand a lot of the program but trying to explain some things to my older co workers that they are not understanding because they do not have a computer background is frustrating.

Pros

The biggest thing is being able to track work orders through the mobile app in real time. This allows us as a team to communicate with out having to run and find the other person to ask questions. I wish the mobile app had more versatility similar to the desktop version and the interface on the app is kind of stale to look at.

Cons

Not being able to create custom forms ourselves and having to pay to have one created. I have tried to use detsets as replacement but I am limited to a creating a limited amount of questions and does not fulfil our need. I would love it if we were able to create our own forms.

Maintenance care is a great program that will help your facility manage work orders, preventative maintenance programs and assets. We do not use invoicing but I'm sure it would also help out for those that do. I hope to get around to using the parts and ordering systems but for now We do not use them.

Pros

It puts all your Maintenance work orders and Preventative maintenance programs in one easy to access place. The system was easy to learn and relatively inexpensive. Customer support is quick and very helpful with any problems you may have.

Cons

You have to be carful setting up your assets and Detsets as you are very limited on what you can delete once it is saved. You also depending on the size of facility you manage are limited on how many detsets you can have so that makes not being able to delete that much more difficult. I noticed that anything you set up with a table matrix is very difficult to print as it does not give you a pdf version for printing.

My overall experience has been GREAT. From the first introduction, to downloading us on the upcoming events to get us connected, the staff is super friendly and wants to assist you in every step of the way, and open-door policy to call with any concerns. Our maintenance man said it is by far the easiest request platform he has ever used.

Pros

I like that we can streamline all of our maintenance management into one location for our 12 locations. Fast and friendly team helping us get through the learning curve with excellent customer support.

Cons

Nothing at all. Theres great value for the money. Easy user interface. NO complaints about the site at all. We have been extremely happy.

Its fine. Another facility reached out to me to ask if I would recommend Maintenance Care, to which I told them 'its fine, I wouldn't recommend it, but it does the bare minimum, so it wasn't my priority to change away', and thats what I'd say here also.

Pros

Simple, it does the job. Not amazing and not super intuitive or fast to use either. Cheaper than competitors. I like the open portal that allows guests to submit tickets without a login, even though this is not secure.

Cons

Not really much customer support. Recently had an upgrade that was not announced and broke functionality in the app and desktop. This was fixed within a few days however.

Overall, I enjoy the ease of scheduling items and printing out lists for the Maintenance Members to have available to write notes while away from the computer.

Pros

Very user friendly, I like how all our closed work orders are easy to find and sort. It helps me a lot with order management when the same items come up multiple times.

Cons

The item I like the least is how my company's inventory management system does not transfer. I don't know if it is a Maintenance Care issue or a Syspro issue, or if I just need to reach out to customer service to learn, I was just informed by prior Manager that it wasn't possible.

Overall we are happy with our decision to use Maintenance Care. There are enhancements that we would like to see and we understand that some of them are in development.

Pros

The setup was relatively easy from an administration perspective. The maintenance request portal is easy to navigate from a user perspective.

Cons

The vendor email piece is a bit cumbersome. Also, the daily snapshot could be more user friendly. QR code assignment to locations and assets would be a very nice feature.

Overall, I really enjoy using Maintenance Care as it allows our maintenance team to collaborate on tasks and reminds us when it is time to perform a preventive maintenance task.

Pros

I love how easy it is to navigate. I love theat it allows us to schedule preventative maintenance tasks and have the system send a notification when it is due.

Cons

I wish the app included the admin and schedule tab which would allow admins to make changes from mobile devices.

It's simple, quick and easy to use unless I have to close old jobs out

Pros

I like the ability to send detailed work orders to our maintenance crew quickly and accurately. They receive them immediately on their tablets

Cons

Because some maintenance people are not sure how to close their jobs when their done I must go in and do it for them. Maintenance Care can only close one job at a time. It would be easier and more productive if I could close multiple jobs at a time.

It is a very user friendly software, easy to manipulate, but currently there are areas that could use enhancements to continue to grow with our organization. We started out and this was perfect to get our new system up and running, however we are outgrowing the functionality of the current version we are using and would like to see more of what it can do to meet our needs.

Pros

The software was very easy to setup and update the basic parameters that it has. Entering and creating PM work orders is also very easy.

Cons

There are areas that could be improved upon to help smaller organizations continue to grow; better information inputting, tracking of vital statistics related to facilities management, creating an accounting portion or report that would track time, avg time, and cost of work orders by individual work orders, weekly, monthly, annually would greatly help in demonstrating our expenses and time for each of our programs.

Cost overall; as we are a small non-profit, cost was important to getting our program up and running.

We have solved huge problems related to communicating on task exsistance, progress, parts needed, completion date and by who and when. I link invoices to tasks in comments and therefore track what we buy and need to invoice out for each task which also alerts employees to the arrival of parts. We can check our assigned to list and know who has the ball on tasks. The customer support is always there and friendly even if they cannot do anything to solve the problem:)

Pros

The ease of tracking jobs. the variety of search options and trackable inputs. The ability to assign jobs and track progress. The idea of having all information in one place. The top result is a way more streamlined way to communicate with the whole team on a variety of aspects.

Cons

It is unrefined. The usability of the app (there is no way to search)Also, no way for 3rd parties to search the request look-up page list. The spacing in the notes! and how new comments are added to top and bottom inconsistently. There are millions of small improvements that could be attended to that would make my job twice as nice, for instance, reports to be able to be auto generated with details included. Parts list population via excel import (rather than 2 weeks of manual input). There is no way to track billed and non billed tasks and I can't use the invoicing feature due to lack of PST. Also invoicing cannot split coding/costs for parts and labour. I was led to believe that my guys on the ground would have access to a wiki of information about assets and common problems but they cannot even access the space center from their mobile devices.

Hi Rhianne, Thanks for the comments. I will try to respond to some of your comments on here (but there is a limit of characters), but I think many of your concerns can be addressed by speaking with one of our Support Techs (I will have one connect with you). The notes spacing issue on the app was a bug that is fixed, the Parts Excel upload is available. There is a way to track Billed or non-Billed jobs using Task Class, and your team should be able to access attached documents from the app, so I'm not sure why they are not able to. Again, I'm guessing our Support Techs may be able to help here. I am confident that we are able to resolve most if not all of your issues listed.

It's o. It's usable and eliminates paper work, but it's far from resolving all our needs.

Pros

The new version is cleaner and the reporting so far, has good information, although readability and presentation could improve.

Cons

The two most impacful features missing are1) You can print all the columns you display. I always want to see who the vendor is and I have to specifically open and display the vendor in the columns, but when I want to print the screen display I have, there is a predetermined template that prints without the information I need2) Pictures taken and uploaded through the app with iphones are not available for everyone to view or print. Someone has to manually send them through email and we have to manually upload them to the work order

Apparently we had others that were even more complicated to use.

I love the fact that we can manage work orders from our tenants, keep track of project status and have one place to store all information related to building maintenance, repair and compliance.

Cons

I would love to have more organization options available in the space cabinet.

This is the 6th different CMMS I have used in my career, and I feel like MC is one of the easier to use out of the systems I have experience with. Being an online program, it does not have a noticeable lag in information processing like some online systems do.

Pros

Overall, the system is very easy to use from the user interface standpoint

Cons

Would like to see PM schedules for Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual tied together more, and would like if they adjusted based on PM closed date. If I take a month to complete one interval and want to push everything back by one month, I need to open 4 different schedules and adjust them individually.

Overall, Maintenance Care is a great program to work with. Customer service is always spot on and will keep working on an issue until there is a resolution. The ability to switch between locations makes it very easy as admin to monitor locations to identify trends or arising issues.

Pros

Some of the Pros relating to this software for our organization include the ease of use and flexibility of creating and assigning tasks. The "ME" button makes it super simple to clearly indicate who updated a task. Being able to attach documents (such as manuals, service reports or invoices for work completed) to a piece of equipment saves time and money when attempting to diagnose and/or prevent problems. The Preventative Maintenance features ensure that no equipment is missed during routine checks.

Cons

I personally would like to see enhancements to the Inventory/Parts module of the program. Our organization was unable to smoothly implement to line up with our vision of what the inventory tracking should look like. Due to the fact our organization utilizes multiple sites, occasionally an incorrect site is chosen. Based on the current functionality of MC once a site is picked for a task it cannot be changed. a new replacement task must be created.

I wish it was easier to add and change categories and areas of work. IT's impossible to list them all so it would be helpful to be able to type in a more specific location.
