May 9, 2019 5.0 Proposify has cut my proposal-generating time down to an eighth of what it was before. I am now able to have a consultation call with a potential client and have a proposal to them later that day. Before, it would have taken me a week or more, because I was doing everything from scratch. Even better, my proposals look so professional and have extra pieces to them that I never would have thought of—why us, next steps, and so much more. Plus, the ability to track when the potential client viewed the proposal and how long they spend on each section is invaluable data. Pros When I sent out a proposal before, it was a Word doc with my logo that I saved as a PDF. It was one to two pages with a single fee listed. It worked, but it wasn't pretty. Enter Proposify, which makes my proposals shine! I was able to adjust the template to tailor it to my brand, including photos, colors, and more. I have created several standard pages to include in every proposal as well as different fee tables so that generating proposals has gone so much faster. Proposify is easy to use, and the training webinars were incredibly helpful. I absolutely love it! Cons As I was adjusting the template, a few things haven't been exactly intuitive. As a business we like that it is highly customizable from both a branding and content perspective, and have also grown accustomed to its reliability. The metrics available within the system grant us the ability track how our proposals are being viewed and consumed, allowing us to know which clients have reviewed our proposal as well as identify and understand where to adjust overall proposal content. This data has been extremely valuable, and we have seen an increase in our overall close rate. From the client side we have received feedback on numerous occasions regarding the professionalism in the presentation of our proposals, as well the efficiency and usability of the process across all devices. Proposify is a great system which we would highly recommend to any business. Pros Customization that is available and the ability to track metrics. February 17, 2016 5.0 Kyle and his cofounder Kevin have an amazing proposal software. These guys are wicked smart...and hilarious(great podcast "agencies drinking beer"). They are based in Canada. We have tried all of the proposal software platforms that are out there. These guys kill it. Proposify saves countless hours spent in developing proposals and responding to stupid RFP's. Pros Time saved in writing proposals is HUGE. You will love this software. Very easy UI. Plus...all of the sample proposals. Think Basecamp for proposals...it is that good. Cons None. This is the only proposal software we would recommend to any client. We have looked for 5 years to find something like this. This is by far the best out there. Unfortunately, its just not great. Its ok. Cons For what proposify offers the price is way too high. It's nearly impossible to cancel. Snarky customer service who refuse to instruct you how to cancel. Did I mention overpriced? The software and functionality was so overwhelming we signed up and forgot to use it for almost two years. It has a very comfortable interface where it offers us a large number of beautiful templates, very customizable when creating a proposal, where you can always go further with a proposal with this application. Proposify allows you to work as a team in an organized way and where we can follow up on the ideal offers to be aware of the clients. It contains a lot of documentation from your page and we can start a test for free. Cons It depends on where we use this application, it can be very slow and, sometimes, freeze. Proposify streamlines the whole process and turnaround has improved significantly. Pros Anyone who runs a business knows that sending out proposals (and contracts) gets tedious when you have to start from scratch every time. Proposify lets you choose a template or save your own custom templates for future proposals. You can also put your own branding to look more professional. The UI for creating a proposal/contract (it's 2 in 1) is very usable. Every section is listed in a column so you can click to jump from budget to scope instead of scrolling up and down until your fingers cramp. There is also a content library with sections you can drag and drop into your proposal. You can also save specific sections to re-use so you don't have to go digging for old proposals for content. I especially like the ability to e-sign it instead of using a whole other app to sign it. Plus the performance tracking is very appreciated. Overall a solid solution for most businesses of all sizes who feel like they're spending too much time typing up client proposals. Cons The email Proposify sends out with the contract isn't all that professional looking so I'd like more advanced design capabilities. The mobile app could be better designed too. Cons Where do I start... This is not very graphic designer user friendly. Half the time some of the options do not work. Or you can't find the option to arrange graphics on your page. The headings, paragraph options for the text is not very consistent. And if my colleague wants to add in their own text box, most of the time it doesn't stay the same text for them. We've gone from custom proposal development using Adobe CS for each client to a visually robust template within the Proposify platform. It allows us to create a library catalogue that we can then incorporate based on client needs, providing a very tailored proposal, without all of the rework. It's saved us countless hours and improved our response time - both win/win scenarios for our lean team. Pros Content Library, eSignatures, very customizable and easy to use. Cons Formatting and copying of tables is sometimes a nightmare. The word processing capabilities leaves a lot to be desired, especially since there doesn't appear to be a way to build hierarchical outlines. Terrible customer service. 😱 I was charged for a whole year renewal ($500+) and reached out as soon as I saw it on my cc (2 days later). Their response was that I was in a contract. So now I guess I have another year of super buggy proposal software that I can’t use. 🙄 I would avoid the headache, bad software, bad service. Pros Nothing, it turned out to be a pain to use and no support. Cons It is relatively time-consuming to get everything set up for the first time because there are some kind of glitchy elements that can be slightly frustrating to get everything how you want it. Pros The best feature are the templates for various industry. I use this soft and I recommended to many of my clients as it helps create great looking proposals, keeps track of your sales funnels. Pros It makes a business look modern and up-to-date. It should make writing proposals streamlined and more efficient. It integrates with Hubspot Cons It’s frustrating and buggy. It feels like it’s about 80% of the way to complete. Formatting is almost completely random. Creating tables is a leap of faith. The pdf versions of the proposals are hit and miss. It has been a delight to switch to Proposify, because we get many new features that we did not get with Tinderbox/Octiv. Also, we rely heavily on the great Zapier integration that Proposify offers. This means we can do more with less Pros Fantastic looking proposals. Easy to design. Cons We are at the higher end of the tiered pricing which limits the number of outstanding proposals we can send out. We have a long sales cycle and it could be months before we find that a proposal is accepted or declined, which means that Proposify could be too costly for companies that have a long sales cycle. Not worth the $ Pros It's end user functionality is good, meaning when it's time for a client to sign - it works. But... Cons Formatting is incredibly difficult. It doesn't play well with other software when you build something in pdf or word and copy and paste. PLUS - they won't let you export data. I tried to get an csv file on all the clients I've loaded in there and it won't let you. The customer support is all talk. I strongly suggest you look at other platforms. Pros Even if you do not have any previous sales experience or if you are a new entrepreneur trying to get its word out, this software will allow you to submit a kick-ass presentation, in addition to instructing you what information should be included in the next ones. Cons Some of the template tools are not customizable and you cannot choose -for example- a different set of fonts from those that were provided. You can digitally sign the business proposal and the design options are rok, they give you the chance to create a nice documents.
