Pros Proposify helps me a lot create beautifully looking proposals filled with images that make the mind enjoy the process of going through the proposal. The way it is structured out is something interesting about Proposify. It doesn't matter if you are writing your first proposal as much as you follow their guidelines, you'll create the type of proposal that helps you win the contract. I also love the tracking attached to the process after you've sent out the proposal. Cons They prefer you and the person reading the proposal to read it online. Pros As the sales director for website marketing services, I find that presenting a proposal can often be overwhelming, confusing or boring with the numerous available options. Having the ability to use checkboxes that allow the customer to select their services and see a project number has not only made the sales discussion much more effective, but our clients say they are actually having fun. It's turned an often stressful decision into an enjoyable and exciting experience. Cons There have been some issues with the text at the bottom of the page getting cut off in the preview of the proposal even though it looks good during development. Also, when creating more than one table on a page, it would be very helpful to have snap guides to match the width of a similar table on the same page or previous page so we didn't have to guess. Pros I was skeptical and did not want to use this tool initially. However, after spending some time in it, I love how easy it is to create beautiful proposal templates, and then modify for specific proposals. Additionally link sharing and signatures are super simple and make the signature process awesome. Cons I think that some of the functionals not intuitive. Deleting the final page in a section for example is not allowed, so you have to add a new page and then delete. Additionally, some of the button labels can be confusing at first. April 29, 2017 5.0 Pros I've used several on line proposal and contract processes. Proposify is easy on the sellers end to build a library of individual sales experiences and super easy on the buyers end to sign a contract for services. The elimination of roadblocks in converting sales is every sales directors dream. Having it be easy for sales - is every sales persons dream. Cons My biggest roadblock is my email with the link to the proposal often goes into the customers Spam folder. This isn't Proposifys fault. Most email security will filter out a linked email. I have turned this into an "opportunity" for another contact with my customer. A "follow up" helpful email letting them know I've sent the proposal and to check their spam folder if they haven't seen it. This was something new that Proposify offered which was my company was trying it out. It's a bit of a unique spin and was useful. Cons It's not a con exactly but for a small team, we didn't need this level of tracking. I'd rather text a salesperson and say "hey what's going on with x" than look it up online. Pros We did like the simplicity and detail up until major changes were recently introduced. Cons Recent changes now make the most common function "Editing" a proposal now buried in the UI and hard to locate. Integrating with our CRM was as easy as a few mouse clicks. Clients love being able to review and sign proposals online, and I love the notifications and analytics behind the proposals. Cons There are some features that could use a little work, like importing company names from Hubspot, syncing changes between systems, and using custom/calculated variables in the proposals. None of these are huge issues or deal-breakers. I'd be interested in being part of a product development consulting team if there's an opportunity like that available. It's intuitive and easy to use which means multiple staff can be across the platform with minimal training and the customer support that Proposify provide is absolutely fantastic and all queries are responded to in a very timely fashion (even with our company being in Australia and having a huge time difference). Highly recommend! Pros It's really intuitive to use and the customer support and service is fantastic. The team will go out of their way to assist you when needed and are always on hand to answer queries and provide training if needed. Don't waste your time and money. Pros Proposify was a sturdy enough option for several years. It has a lot of name recognition and there are a decent number of features. Cons This is an out-dated, clunky, and buggy software that was wildly frustrating to use. I used it only because I hadn't tried another option. There would often be glitches in which I could not use the spacebar when typing (tried on multiple computers, it was the software). Since we have started using Proposify our close rate has increased. The proposals are so easy to put together! When a client says "send me a proposal" I don't dread it anymore. The templates and drag and drop editor make it really quick, simple and professional looking. My only suggestion would be to integrate with some additional CRM programs. I do love that it integrates with Freshbooks, it makes getting paid for the proposal even easier! Great job, and I would recommend for any agency, or service based business. April 10, 2019 5.0 Pros I think most people can agree that figuring out the proposal is the most painstaking part of a project. It usually takes more time than expected and doesn't contribute to the bottom line. That's where Proposify comes in handy. We started saving so much time and manpower on the proposal aspect of the project, it allowed us to reach more companies in less time and with the beautiful design and feel of the proposal, we had an easy leg up on our competition. Used the software for: ### "Good but buggy" April 15, 2016 4.0 I have been using this product for quite a while, and it has indeed increased our proposal writing efficiency... but that's maybe more a statement about SaaS RFP systems in general. Proposify has a caching system in place that can make editing documents problematic. I often find myself struggling for 30 minutes while formatting a single heading or a paragraph as the caching traps an error - frequently having to start over (new page) to resolve the issue. This has also occurred with addition tables (fee tables) as sometimes the math breaks (cached). Another point of frustration is a lack of a rollback. Ctrl-Z sometimes works but if you delete a heading or a line of text you will have to retype it out. Ultimately your work should first be applied in a text editor outside the Proposify platform. It's not all bad - I do love the content library and template system (huge time saver) and the use of text snippets so that you can quickly access reusable content. They offer good support and are responsive - and they do make continual updates and improvements to the system. The big issue for us is that it takes a while to set up your templates and content library - and jumping ship would be an investment. I recommend trying multiple platforms before committing. The templates are highly customizable and easy to create. It is time consuming to create a template, but once it is done, it is done. Cons It is quite a bit of work to keep it updated; you have to be using the tool every day. You can keep track of the status of each deal, and allocate it to work teams, but it was another task on my list of things to do. It really saves time and give me consistently branded proposals. Images and graphics are easily brought in, too, so your proposal will stand out from the run-of-the-mill black print on white paper document.
