Pros Makes it really easy to estimate/record time for Asana tasks. So I always have a very clear idea of how long it could take me and what it actually does take me to accomplish key tasks. Cons You can't put time estimates on recurring tasks, which isn't a dealbreaker, but I wish it had that capability. One issue once, support was effective and reactive. Pros Smooth integration with Trello, multiple activity can be tracked with detailed timing and comments Cons Reports could be most customizable (grouping/sum per categories/projects), I'm using to support billing to customers, I get more or less what I want but by twisting the tool Reason for choosing Everhour Free trial was ok, I was happy with the Trello integration and tested reports. Beautiful and seamlles overall. Projects and budgets can be added directly from clickup, there is almost no need to leave the main app, we really like how they work together. Reports are very customizable, and data well synced with ClickUp. Chrome extension is very useful and well done. Cons Minor cons We would like to be able to add clients via clickup. Its the only thing we have to do in the main Everhour app. Some kind of more granular time tracking info. Tracked time is always summed, which is great, but it would be nice that the user can see chunks of time tracked separately. For example if you stop the timer for lets say 10min to take a break, and you forget to press play when you get back, after some time its impossible to see when the timer was stopped. Pros We really like the Gsuite integration and the integration with Jira. We regularly get compliments from our clients as we send very detailed report on where company time is spent on. Cons We find it difficult to integrate with our financial application. Lots of rework after export is required. We would also like integration with CRM, eg automatically forward rates discussed during sales trajectory. Fixed fee projects are difficult. August 15, 2018 5.0 Our organization uses this daily to track EVERYTHING we do. With Everhour I am able to stay on top of who is overworked, underworked, where we make the most profit, and where we are falling short. It also allows us the option to set limits so that we don't accidentally overwork (it's so easy to love a project so much that you keep running and running and running at it!). Overall, this has simplified our time tracking efforts and we are thoroughly pleased. Pros The best Pro for Everhour is the integration with Trello. Cons There isn't anything that I inherently dislike! Sometimes you have to dig to find certain functionality (such as editing a team member's time), but that is more of a learning curb. The plugin is easy to install and makes tracking team and individual time against tasks and projects simple and efficient. The reporting suite is also excellent and again, very easy to use and simple to manipulate to create customised reports. Cons Not everything with Everhour works on the same logic as Asana so at times you have to be creative to record the info in a usable way, but all in all, it's a small problem. System developer Internet Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Usable plugin but with errors" June 22, 2018 2.0 The possibility of tracking time in Asana Pros Integrates with Asana using Chrome browser and makes time tracking possible. With Chrome it's easy to set up. You just add the extension and connect it to Asana through the integration settings. Cons Often there are sync problems to Asana so working hours are often lost. It can be sync again but you have to find the lost task to do this and sometimes in large projects it can be hard to remember what have been done and not. Everhour cannot be integrated to Asana Window App or with Microsoft Edge so it works with the Asana (like with Chrome). This is a huge deal breaker because I use Edge a lot. The customer support couldn't even tell me that Everhour had this issue - I had to find out myself. But it's not only for Chrome. We support Chrome, FireFox and Safari. https://everhour.com/extensions Yes, we cannot embed time tracking controls into native Asana apps. This is technically impossible unless Asana integrate with Everhour one day. Has anyone else do this? Cons I didn't see an easy way to reference a weekly calendar in which I could easily review and edit time-based (clock based) logs / entries, but I believe this might be a feature under development. Cons \- The project syncing and updating from Pivotal Tracker does take a long time, even when syncing is manually enabled. Pros The seamless integration with the project management software we use, Asana. They also have a public API we are using for some software we built for automated reporting. Very powerful software, and saves a lot of time with manual entries. Cons The automatic syncing between Everhour and Asana is almost too good, or needs to be able to be adjusted. Currently, if we archive a project (like we finished it and no longer have tasks to track time on), it removes any tasks in that project from Everhour reports, even though there was time tracked on those tasks. Pros The customer service was prompt and polite when I cancelled my account. I received emails offering to help me use the software. I guess it was very robust, but honestly I couldn't get it to do the ONE thing I needed it to do: track my time. Actually, I didn't even need it to track my time, I just wanted to enter my time for each project. Couldn't do it. But, it did seem to have a lot of functionality if you need something much flashier. Cons All I wanted was a place to enter my projects and do a mix of manual and timed time tracking for each project. I literally could not figure out how to do this in Everhour. There seemed to be a ton of functionality for complicated projects, but I don't have that level of complexity. The only workaround seemed to be tracking time for each individual task. It just seemed a lot more work intensive than keeping a simple excel log, but it's annoying I can't unite everything in one place and analyze it. We also find the timesheet generation also very useful for team oversight. At this time we are looking into automation of sending timesheets out to our individual team members via email or some other medium. Pros We selected Everhour based on its integration with Pivotal Tracker. We utilize pivotal heavily and wanted to add options for tracking timesheet level data by pivotal story. The integration with this tool has worked very well. Our developers leverage the timer function daily. Cons Would like some more flexibility and/or options for reporting. While the reporting that is there is useful, you can often get 85% to what you really need in a regular report output and still feel like you are missing a few extra items.
