Overall it is easy to work with . They are also open to suggestions and ideas to improve the product. They periodically check in with me to make sure I am doing well and getting out of the platform what I want. The platform looks very attractive and professional.

Pros

is easy to use once it is set up. The alumni directly is a useful feature. It is easy to update the profiles. Once the integration with Raiser's Edge is established and configured properly, it seamlessly updates data on the Raiser's Edge NXT profile.

Cons

Designing the website requires learning or having some comfort with the back-end of Wordpress, if you want a more custom appearance. I did not find this too difficult, but I did need some assistance from the engineers for some aspects.

We really like . Working with their team is great and they are always quick to respond and help address any questions we have. As a small alumni office, having the Almabase support team helps us save time and we appreciate that they listen to our feedback.

Pros

We like that the platform is our website, directory, events platform, fundraising platform, and email service all in the same place. This make it very easy for us to track our alumni and their engagement. We really appreciate that alumni can go into their user profile and update their own information. Tracking emails and fundraising on the same platform helps as well. I do like how they are always looking to improve their platform and take our feedback seriously.

Cons

As with any platform there are things that can be improved. Right now you can track donations and emails receipts but it would be nice to have them eventually track who reads our posts and what pages they are interacting with. That would be a nice feature that would allow us to fully track users. It would also be nice if the platform supported ACH payments.

Overall, we've had a great experience with and look forward to continue growing our use of the product over time.

Pros

What I like most about is that the platform connects well with our main CRM software, Raiser's Edge, and also provides an easy frontward-facing user experience when registering for events. The personalized onboarding experience we had with our reps at Almabase was also immensely useful and we now have a very useful ongoing relationship with our rep who continues to be an active resource for us.

Cons

Onboarding and implementing any new software involves a learning curve and I would say there is a significant learning curve with this software. However, the onboarding process with made learning the software much easier than it would have been without personalized assistance and we've greatly appreciated this approach at the company. Once you learn how to fully use the software, it is an immensely helpful product to fully integrate into your operations.

My university is located in Texas. 's trainers and support are based in India. Despite the distance, they have made us feel like one team. The step by step training (thank you, \[sensitive content hidden\] The support (too many to name), the overall experience has been great. We have beautiful giving pages and event registration pages that are capturing data beautifully.

Pros

We moved to on a recommendation (that their giving and event software is excellent at data capture and looks great), and while that has been true, the quality of the training and support has actually been what we love the most.

Cons

I have a small list of features I'd like to see, but honestly, even listing them would be a stretch. For everything we couldn't get there are five features that didn't exist, we mentioned, and then the team implemented them.

Overall, this has met our needs regarding alumni connection and event management. We like the responsiveness of the customer support team, and the fact that they are constantly taking our recommendations and improving the platform. It's been a great platform for our alumni.

Pros

They offer a user-friendly interface (both externally and internally) combined with a lot of features. They are very responsive to our recommendations for improvement and when we need support.

Cons

The platform doesn't allow for as much flexibility as we'd like regarding class years - this is an issue for attendees and alumni with multiple degrees from Southern. And we do wish that the navigation was at the top of every single page. They are working to find ways to improve these areas.

How much of an open line of communication there is. takes "criticism" extremely well. They use it to fuel their next big changes. Most companies would not actually take the time to research as often as Almabase does off their clients feedback.

Currently some of the giving aspects. Specifically split gift handling which limits how much we can currently utilize as we would want.

is a well-targeted alumni web product for both large and smaller institutions (like us). I find the staff eager to offer assistance, from migration, transitioning, to how best to use the platform, to inviting their users to suggest new features and improvements regularly.

Pricing. I wish that would consider doing scaled pricing for smaller organizations like ours.

Pros

My favorite thing about is the support team - their willingness to help in such a quick manner is admirable. I also enjoy the teams willingness to continually make updates to the platform.

Cons

The thing I like least about is the limitations in the design flexibility for giving and event pages. Although there are many different options for both giving and events pages, the design is limited.

Overall, we are very happy with and are finding it incredibly useful for our work. It has improved our efficiency and our alumni are overwhelmingly complimentary of the platform.

Pros

The integration with RENXT. This is saving us hours of manual staff time organizing and tracking event information. It is nearly seamless. The interface is clear and easy to use, and provides a nice amount of customization. 's customer service team is fantastic - helpful, very responsive, and open to feedback requests. Since adopting the platform just a few months ago, we have already seen one of our main feature requests realized.

Cons

There are a few small things in the event design that are not aligned with the alumni relations work we do. For example, See Who's Coming lists should be able to be organized by class year. This is a major issue for our constituents.

Our institution successfully leveraged the platform to execute our seventh annual spring giving event, and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. Overall, we would highly recommend Almabase, especially for Raisers Edge customers who have struggled in the past with settling giving day data.

\-The interface was very easy to use to build our giving event site -Our donors enjoyed the giving experience, including the functionality to share the campaign, the tribute wall, the page layout, and the ease of giving -Reconciling the gifts in Raiser’s Edge was as easy as it’s ever been for us - the process of matching the gifts to the appropriate records made this a very smooth process for our gift processing team. -The clear and supportive customer experience was unmatched. We had regular meetings to discuss our project; and questions were resolved quickly. -We were impressed with the go-live support - the team was very responsive when issues arose during our three-day event.

Aside from ease of use and 'off the charts' functionality, the support team is what sets apart from its competitors.

Cons

Have not encountered anything I don't like about the platform. The fact that the platform is evolving sometimes requires a check-in to make sure a feature or functionality will still be available when you plan to use it. So far, the team has been very supportive of every adaptive use of the platform.

I inherited our account three years ago and couldn't be happier. I've been able to add new records quickly, create specific pages, directories,and spaces for our alumni, and work with the team to refine the product.

Pros

We love that offers an easy to use contact directory and allows for event registrations. The customize pages also allow us to create content specific to our school.

Cons

I think networking is an essential function of the database, and there are a few bugs with . The industry/field section needs to be standardized/a drop-down so alumni can search quickly, like LinkedIn. Same is true for colleges and universities--the most annoying thing is when a user has misspelled "University" so there are several lists in the search feature.

We were in need of an online directory and has provided that and so much more. The current rollout of our alumni business directory is something that will add even more value for our alumni base. Also, the ability for our group contact lists to be updated in real time has been so important when communicating to our segmented alumni groups and not needing to create new contact lists.

Pros

From the very beginning, and their team have been very supportive and focused on the success of our alumni program. The setup and rollout was quick and seamless and the various tweaks and adjustments that we have requested over the years have been met with openness and a "can do" attitude. The Almabase platform has made my job so much easier whether it's managing events or sending out segmented communications to a wide range of alumni groups. Keep up the great work Almabase!

Cons

Very little to complain about. Customization of the actual platform is somewhat limited but when I have reached out and requested certain changes, the team has been very accommodating and met my requests.

Wonderful! They help us walk every step of the process to be successful!

Pros

helped us go from zero Alumni to over 600 in less than a year! It also was the platform we used to kick off our first-ever Alumni Giving Day; we raised over $211,000! Almabase's support team, especially \[sensitive content hidden\], is the best. They always were there to help and give advice and best practices in every arena of Alumni support.

We had no issues with . When we needed help or if we had questions, they were always there quickly to help give answers.

Pros

The functionality and user interface really brought to our attention. Since joining them we've been able to expand our annual appeals, alumni engagement, expand our parent auxiliary groups, but most importantly it has streamlined our communications and given us the ability to continue providing value to our alumni.

Cons

There are many incredible features included in the software, but one thing that could be improved is the customization of the community admin rights. Having a large class rep program at the school it is vital that our reps can communicate effectively with their classmates. Right now giving someone community admin rights gives them full rights to the communication center. It would be great to be able to limit this to just the person's class and a specific list of email templates. This would help both the site admin and the community admin.

allows us to connect with our alumni on multiple levels based on interest, class years, university affinities, and social media interaction. It also allows us to communicate intentionally and deliberately with our alumni through targeted emails and our e-newsletter. It saves our team time by streamlining the way that we post to our social media platforms and data-mine the site. This platform also allows for us to include pages for our chapters that have controlled access for the chapter administrators. We can also set-up event registrations, pay portals and interest forms and have the data collected to be imported into Raiser's Edge whenever we want to do that. Almabase directly impacts and helps to facilitate the majority of our office's mission and goals.

Pros

With everything is at one central location which is a huge time saver for us. No more multiple disconnected software and inefficiencies. It also seamlessly integrated with Raiser's Edge. The response from alumni has been amazing since the launch - they love the social media integration! Our board members, faculty and staff love the platform because its very easy to use. Almabase also provides the possibility to involve our students for an alumni mentorship program that has been heavily requested by our alumni. The best part though, is that their customer service is exceptional and unparalleled! It is truly a pleasure to be able to work with such an amazing team of professionals. I know that it is extremely rare to find a software that is pretty much perfect, but we really have not found anything about the software or the customer service that we do not like. The handful of items that we could not do, or did not work quite the way that our team would have liked were solved by the Almabase team, usually within a few days of mentioning it to them. We have no reason to rate them any lower than 5-star across the board. I would recommend Almabase to any organization that is looking for this type of alumni platform.

Pros

When I became the alumni relations coordinator for Thomas Aquinas College, I immediately began searching for a replacement for a print alumni directory. This platform exceeded expectations in that it provides the directory service that I was looking for AND provides a full service engagement platform for all facets of alumni relations. From emails to events to chapters and more! Most of all though, the team at is 110% top notch. They are personable, responsive, and complete. Whether I have a question on hot to best use some functionality or have a suggestion from my users regarding improvements on the platform, the Almabase team is always helpful, thoughtful, and responsive. This customer support you enjoy speaking with!

Cons

There is little not to like. For myself, wearing multiple hats at our institution makes it difficult to use the product to its full potential. Also, our users are interested in sharing their directory information with each other, which is not a default setting. However, support has been very responsive regarding this feedback and we are working towards a solution. In all, I am very happy with the product and so are my users.

has a plethora of features that help our school interact with our alumni in different and meaningful ways. We are able to host events, share news, and fund raise all in one location. Almabase is a true investment in our alumni and they really appreciate the efforts we are making beyond the years they spend on our campus.

Cons

A challenge for us is getting alumni to join the platform. We are constantly looking for ways to get alumni to visit the site and see what benefits they can receive.
