Comments: We've been using Litmos for a little over a year, coming from another LMS system that did not meet our needs. Litmos is very easy to learn, we were building courses quickly once we got in. They have a great array of features for course building with different module types, including assessments, videos, text, and integrations with GoToTraining and other delivery tools that makes it easy to created a mixed deliverable which keeps people more engaged than slide after slide after slide. A for that. They also update their product regularly with new features, and make it easy to learn/find these by notifications at the top of the site, and offering new release webinars and videos parked on YouTube. A on their communication of new features. Reporting takes a bit of getting used to, as you can drill down from a broad set of figures to a granular individual student level, I often find it best to export these as Excel files and manipulate the data with my own formulas and pivot tables. B on reporting capabilities. We use Litmos to train thousands of clients annually as opposed to training just a few hundred of our own staff - our DB at this point consists of 10,000 users and considering the volume, we very rarely have issues with the Litmos tool itself from an accessibility or bug perspective. As a professional trainer of software products, I can say confidently that that is a true accomplishment. A on code stability! Best advice is to plan our your organizational needs as a flow chart so you get it right the first time.

Pros: Integrations with many outside products, including GoToTraining/Webinar, Salesforce, Wordpress, several shopping cart tools, and more. Easy to learn, easy to course build. Several options for organizing by Team or Learning Path. time.

Cons: Two minor pet peeves in course building - no "center" option on image alignment - you have to either code it in, or put it in the middle of a 3 column centered table. No spell check in standard typing view, you have to go into the source code view to see spelling errors. True con lately is support turn around time. Support is through online ticketing system, even if you call in, they simply file the ticket on your behalf. I understand the need for that, as we urge our own clients to use our self-service portals first. But we are currently in the position of needing assistance with the Litmos/Salesforce integration, and we are closing in on two weeks and still do not have resolution. I have twice proposed meeting times several days in the future and had team members on standby to drop what they are doing to meet with a Litmos rep when they have time for us, and both times got no response until after the proposed meeting dates. This needs serious improvement.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take advantage of the trial site, load in as much course material as you can and play with multiple dummy account - you can get an excellent feel for the Litmos tool with that trial.

Comments: Litmos is by far the best LMS we have use. With it we can easily manage hundreds of users, track their progress, and create reports from their activity. The user interface is simple yet is feature packed on both the admin and learner side. The interface is customizable with custom theme colors, logos, and images, so we could completely re-brand it. We were looking for an LMS that could be sold through an eCommerce solution and they offer that as well as give the added functionality of allowing the usage of Shopify. We needed to be able to set up courses that needed to be taken in a strict order and they have a solution called "Learning Paths" just for that very need. The issues we had were minor and were alleviated by Litmos's support staff very quickly, usually the same day. The pricing is the best out of everything we looked at for the features and they were willing to negotiate prices beyond their standard pricing. There is built in testing/quizzing/survey authoring tools but you can pair you own authoring tools with it by uploading files to the system. We use SCORM compliant authoring tools and they are imported without any problems. We manage a few teams as well and Litmos accommodates this exceptionally well by allowing teams, or groups of users, to be bundled together. Overall, a great product that has a generous trial period so there is nothing to lose.

Pros: Very affordable, many features are included in low subscription levels which are great compared to the competitors, great support staff, easy to use, allows for many different file types to be imported, includes a good eCommerce solution as well as many plugins for external management.

Cons: If you need to move people between teams, there is no way to do so. You will need to create a new user in the destination with the same credentials and same course assignments, and then delete that user from the source. The interface customization requires a bit of CSS if you really want to go beyond simply modifying colors. The servers tend to struggle some with very large files if users are international as we received some complaints of excessive buffering from users in Japan. That was at the very extreme side and was to be expected.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try Litmos. It has a generous trial period with access to all features and full support. If you need to be customized subscription models, contact Litmos and they will help you customize the LMS and pricing. You will be surprised with the amount and quality of the features of the LMS for the low price, compared to other providers.

Pros: Allows you to distribute material on a mass basis and track who has and who has not completed
Learning Paths allow you to group a series of Courses together to assign 1,000's of modules at a time easily
Modules can have embedded capability to allow you to perform tasks that the LMS does not have built-in
API integration allows you perform useful tasks that Litmos does not have built in.

Cons: The Support takes FOREVER to get anything done, even when it is a program glitch, at the time of writing this review I have been waiting 6 months for a fix to a problem that they have identified as a flaw and just have not fixed. This flaw has been debilitating to our Training Program with Litmos.
Cheating is easy on built-in assessments. When completing assessments on a computer the user can just right-click and go back and re-submit the correct answer. Litmos said they would NOT disable the back-button.
Learning Paths are the only level of organization that they allow, it would be nice to have "Sub-Learning Paths".
Reports are still "meh", even after the reporting update. Thankfully there is API integration which allows us to make our own reports from the information on Litmos.

Overall: Rollercoaster, sometimes they're spot on and have the features we need, other times it takes forever to get a known problem taken care of.
If I could go back and re-select an LMS, I wouldn't choose Litmos.

Comments: We have used Litmos to fill our need for easily accessible on line training for our users across multiple counties. It has improved our ability to not only manage regulatory and mandatory training, but to manage our staff compliance across the board for all of the positions within our Agency.

Pros: Litmos is both easy and fun to use! In our industry, we work hard and deal with many intense situations on a daily basis. Litmos allows us to offer fun and innovative ways to share information, collaborate with the Discussion forums and have fun with gamification. If we have to learn, it should be fun, effective and not add to the stress of our daily job.

Cons: I would love to see development regarding linking courses together. For example, one online course serves as the initial foundation and is good for one year. After that, they take a refresher course that would satisfy the need for renewal. Currently there is no way to do that. This is critical for our industry. We also need a way to offer the initial course as an ILT, then apply an online course as the refresher.

Recommendations to other buyers: Go for it. It is a great option at a great price. I've reviewed other LMS systems and this one is by far the best option for us and I would recommend it for anyone looking for an LMS solution.

Pros: The Dashboard for admins is helpful and the ability to pull custom reports .

Cons: We have had 3 sales reps in the last 12 months with horrible customer service. The last one was handling our increase in user licenses and left multiple voicemails saying if we don't sign the contract prior to the end of month for his commission then he would not be able to apply the discount. The rep also did not cancel a package that was added onto the subscription and when the new rep was informed, they tried to say that they pulled his emails and it was never discussed. When I sent her the email conversation which did specifically say to cancel the package, they came back saying "sorry, we can't do anything about it until november so you still have to pay the amount.." Then they offered a free "Automation Bundle" which is more insulting since that automation bundle should be standard with every subscription. If i have a training platform that I have to make my own training courses for and then manually handle all administrative aspects... what is the point? You have to pay for automation and you have to pay to use any course you don't build yourself. We will be choosing a different vendor since hearing similar experiences from other companies.

Pros: With regards to the actual Learning Management System, the highly user-friendly interface allows me to be creative without the stress of a complicated application. The way modules are stored allows for reusing essential segments such as general course introductions and explanations. The seamless integration of other applications such as Articulate and Captivate is already impressive. However, being able to link my students to live presentations and actual sites for practical application provides more comprehensive accessibility. With regards to customer service, my concerns are addressed quickly. I feel that they care enough to consider my concerns even if they are not able to make adjustments at that time. Also, my students really like my certificates of completion, which are really easy to set up and change.

Cons: While this system is set up for eCommerce, it does not allow for the type of billing options that I want to offer my students. Additionally, the notice board is not easy to edit. I have had to retype my entire message. To address this, I develop my text in a word processor before copying and pasting it into the notice board. This has actually proved to be a better discipline for me, so I will probably continue this, even if they enhance the text editing capabilities.

Recommendations to other buyers: Because the trial period is so short with evaluating this system, I recommend that the testers have time set aside to maximize this opportunity. Next, I suggest that a short sample course and a course with larger files are prepared using as many platforms as possible (including Powerpoint, video, etc.). Developers tend to forget that their users may be on tablets, etc. that do not handle large files so well. Next, s/he should solicit a few users who will be available for testing and immediate feedback. Having three people will better allow for seeing how to work with teams and how the course works in different environments. I also recommend that the tester get another test email address because the email address serves as the user ID. All of this should be complete before signing up for the free trial.

Pros: The learner interface is clean and fairly modern, it worked with our company branding. I had a good experience with our sales rep who pushed the customer service department to respond when I couldn't get help with several major issues.

Cons: Too many bugs, inaccurate data, buttons not working, reports are lacking - we had to pull out our own numbers manually, terrible customer service - had to contact them several times to get a response (this was over a 2 week period) and then waited 4-5 days for them to get back to me with an answer about a bug. Had 2 different webinars set up to address issues and no one showed up, we had to call them to reschedule and only then did they acknowledge it was missed, on another call we actually ended up in someone else's help session and could hear everything. Complaints from our customers and users about login issues, browser compatibility, and course functionality (interactions built with Storyline don't always work once it's uploaded). Very frustrating - looked good at the beginning but we wish we had of gone with another LMS.

Comments: We did a full 4 month research and vetting process to determine the best LMS for our needs, after more than legitimate 20 candidates of the hundreds to chose from we narrow the search to five and of them only one had the tools, feature and most importantly a vision for what the future looked like.

Pros: Easy build out and flexibility to use modules in multiple courses. Learning paths for course combinations make compliance training easy. However the two things that stand out a Pro 1) Customer Service/Support is over the top. Every time we have had a question or something wasn't as we thought it should customer and support is amazingly fast in response time and thorough in making sure we were back on track. 2) The reporting¿you can build just about any report you can think of and trust me we have pushing the envelope.

Cons: Hard to come up with a con that is exclusive to Litmos that other do better or offer. My biggest issue is with the pricing model of the industry as a whole, but it's still not a con since Litmos has more flexibility in their model to (kind of) meet our needs. I'm nit picking now but I wish we could turn off (hide) some of the fields in the registration page rather than just make them optional. As a company we already have the person information and data for the registrant so the page is unnecessarily messy. (I told you I was nit picking. )

Comments: I worked with our department to research and test different LMS programs and Litmos was definitely our top choice. We are also working with a third party web developer who is implementing the more technical details of how the LMS works with our current website and he independently suggested Litmos after reviewing our list of possibilities. Litmos provided us the most features while still staying within our budget. We were most impressed by the user interface which was simple, modern, and easy to read while offering the most customizable options. However, customizing more than color options requires a good knowledge and understanding of web design. Creating and uploading course content is very simple and provides many options to create content within Litmos or upload your own SCORM content. There is no built-in E-Commerce option, but has a great integration with Shopify that would allow you to sell your courses if necessary. I wish there was a way to create notifications within the system. If you complete a course or gain an achievement, you have to browse through the different pages to find your results. Since we are still implementing the LMS, we have not been able to really experience all of the bugs that will inevitably show up, but for now it has been great. Our program is a little unique in how it's set up so we are facing some challenges in how to adapt the Litmos services, but they still provided the most options whereas other Learning Management Systems just did not have anything to offer.

Pros: Great customer service, informative yet simple interface, multiple integrations that work well.

Cons: Missing "Teacher" role that allows outside trainers to grade assignments without full admin access. Mobile app looks great but mobile website is lacking. You need a good understanding of HTML/CSS/Code if you want more customization than just color changes. Lack of notifications within the system.

Pros: This was selected for use at two different orgs I've worked for, and it was given preference based on the cost effectiveness and user interface. The admin panel is easy to navigate, fairly intuitive for a basic user as well, and has some basic integration.

Cons: Beware what you're told you can do with this during the sales and demo process. We had a lot of issues when it came to using their API for some integration. Customization requires a pretty knowledgeable person to work through and test a lot of coding, and when things do not work as expected you're hard pressed to get a solid answer from the community or your dedicated account manager. The reporting engine has improved some, but still really needs a lot of work to produce useful data. While cost effective, I don't think I'd want to implement this particular product a third time.

Pros: I like the fact that it is fairly intuitive. For the most part, you could figure it out on your own. It is working well for us right now. We are having issues with Flash player and popup blockers, but I think this is more a "by product" of our authoring tool than of the LMS. Other than that, we are mostly smooth sailing.

Cons: The reporting definitely needs to become more robust. We would like to see reports that provide time - time spent per module, total time spent learning this or that course, etc. We have requests from managers on that and it is very difficult - if not impossible - to provide.

Overall: We are able to get our eLearning content to our users very quickly. And, since I am in charge of communication, I also like the News feature and the ability to email everyone at once!

Comments: I have been thankful to adopt the Litmos LMS with my job last year for many reasons. It is a user friendly platform and our ways of utilizing it are expanding. It's been great growing alongside Litmos. As new features develop, our company needs and ideas coincide almost perfectly. After attending the Litmos C3 Conference last year and learning a ton, I'm excited to see what's in store for this year and unveiling even more ways to utilize the program. My goal is to continue to see more use within our company for internal training purposes with multi-level users. Litmos is making that goal attainable as it expands, listens to feedback from existing customers, and supports users to see the potential in the platform!

Pros: Ability to upload documents, easy to read dashboard, mass management as well as personalized feedback options, account maintenance is easy especially password resets. Leaderboard offers friendly competition and incentive for users. Behind the scenes, it's easy to see where a user is experiencing difficulty or having trouble.

Cons: Integration to SF cannot copy emails or uploaded documents. Sometimes too many emails are sent to users overwhelming them when completing courses. Some customer service reps and account managers are excellent, others do not follow through. Litmos Author information is misleading in terms of what features are possible through the program. Inconsistent limitations on uploading videos, etc., as well as sometimes "glitchy" processing of not saving users' answers, not opening presentations, etc.

Pros: Litmos is very easy to use for both learners and administrators. We doubled our course completion rate right after we switched to Litmos. We believe this is because learners were able to find training easily. Litmos is very responsive to our concerns and product suggestions. They follow up quickly. We've seen our suggestions in new product updates.

Cons: We would like to be able to extract global data from our surveys. We use the same questions at the end of each course and it would be nice to draw some correlation between courses.

Overall: We are able to deliver training to almost 10,000 learners in 130 countries. Over 90 % say the training helps them increase sales.

We implemented Litmos without a hiccup and our employees are 100% engaged! Our 90 day trending shows no end in sight to the benefits this incredibly easy to use technology will bring. Every person we encounter at Litmos is devoted to our success. A rare find in today's business world. I highly recommend you take a look if education is at the forefront of your company objectives!

Pros: easy technology with seamless implementation, customization to your needs, reporting available for most anything you want to measure, can use all kinds of different mediums that are easy to upload and use, cost to value is more than other systems researched, best online help I've ever seen

Cons: would love to see more delineation in privileges allowing me to customize for my company's use and specific needs

Recommendations to other buyers: 1. Try it, they provide it for free for a very reasonable time allowing you to try before you buy 2. Make sure you know what you require and what is a showstopper in terms of features 3. Integrations are important, check out the integrations available to make the most of your technology investment

Its been a great first year. We are very happy we made the decision to go with Litmos.

Pros: The ease of use with for the general user and the advanced options that are available to account owners to customize things the way you need to use them.
Access to many different ways to view and download reports was another big reason we decided on Litmos.
They seem very dedicated to listening to their customers and providing updates so they can keep offering the best product they can produce.

Cons: I could be picky and list a few features that would benefit the way we use the LMS but they are all little things. Plus, Litmos already has a dedicated site for account owners to post and view new ideas and everyone gets a chance to vote on them. As soon as they get enough votes, they work on implementing it on their next update.
If you are reading this doing the researching part. I would suggest to do the trail account on as many as you can to see the difference in features offered and quality of the product. Its the only way you will find out what is out there and what is going to work best for you and your company.

Pros: It's easy to upload videos and the ability to customize the color creates a consistent branding experience between the website and Litmos.

Cons: I provided the exact requirements needed for the LMS system (as they were written out and approved by the department of education). One of the requirements is a LMS that requires some courses be taken prior to other courses as well as have groups of courses that can be taken in any order. When building the programs in Litmos, the prerequisite function didn't work and the Assign doesn't have enough functionality and our company had too many classes (there is a maximum number allowed). Six months later, 15+ technical and sales rep calls and the problems still exist. I am manually assigning classes to all students, 4x per day. Instead of doing my job, I am essentially a manually LMS system until I can get a working solution or pay for another LMS system. I've requested 3x to speak to someone else but my only contacts are the technical help desk and my sales rep.

Pros: It is easy to use and customize. On the back-end, it is intuitive and laid out easily with lots of support to help along the way in the Dojo. For the user, it is simple as point and click. There isn't a lot of guess work or trying to figure out which screen to be on- which for a company that has a lot of people ho are not technologically advanced is a huge plus.

Cons: The reporting. That is the one area that isn't as intuitive or clearly laid out. And some of the reports that I want are either not there, or not easy for me to track down and find to use.

Overall: The ability to engage with our learners and keep track of their progress so they have something to show for all their hard-work is probably the biggest one. The amount of content that is made available from Litmos, the support they provide both from the technical stand point and just in general as you are trying to figure it out, the people who really value their clients...I could just keep going. All around, Litmos goes above and beyond any of the other companies I have worked with in their effort to help us be successful and meet our goals.

Comments: Easy to recommend due to ability of 1 T&D professional to work the system end to end. Also, due to its integrations with other HR platforms, such as BambooHR, data sharing is much easier and helps make Litmos to excel where other platforms run into brick walls requiring either PS resources or a heavy investment of time learning the idiosyncracies of the software.

Pros: Easy to use without a MIS or CS degree -- admin interface and extensive support resources make every function easy to use and smooth to operate Robust feature set -- load any content to create a course, run standard and ah-hoc reports, manage the talent pool -- if you need to do it as an LMS admin or learner Litmos makes it easy to use without IT support Intuitive interface for users -- it's hard enough to get people into an elearning training, fighting the LMS interface shouldn't be a barrier in their way -- with Litmos anyone can navigate the platform thanks to an intuitive interface and clear context prompts

Cons: Relative to other platforms, Litmos is a solid and slick performer. While there are other LMS out there that may be slicker to use, Litmos makes it easy to manage the content, the learners, and the data from one dashboard and I find the interface comprehensible from moment 1. Their content is pretty generic and more focus on distinctive content would help them stand out.

Support - your support has always been good, emails replied to within a day.
Certificates - pdf auto creation is a big plus.

modules that can be used in different courses is great. ability to email and communicate in system is good.
dashboard - is good, nicely planned and works well.
marking assessments - nice to assign tutors and let them mark online.

Cons: Video having to handbrake is frustrating and even after video is slow. Embedding from you tube video is also slow, needs video and audio functionality.
FTP ftp upload for video/audio. having to manually upload each video is painful
assessment we'd love ability to weight questions. assessment builder is a bit clumsy. Provide a search for questions. a way to use them in more than one assessment. drop and drag to manage.
documents to download - i may be wrong but there seems a limit to how many documents can be available. We have big courses.
powerpoints many don't come out right.
Subscriptions payments monthly - a way 4 people pay monthly as a subscription - we need this urgently.

Scheduling - it would be great to be able to time the modules, schedule their release (not just the entire course). E.g. module 1 then a week later module 2. with each release an email is sent to notify the student. that way full distance learning courses can be set up and run automatically.

Overall: I really like Litmos and want to build more and use fully. With a bit more tweaking you have a winning product, that I'd happily recommend.

Pros: The interface is easy to navigate compared to other LMS packages. It is easy to upload video and Adobe captivate files.
I like being able to easily view my video before actually making my courses available.
The User interface for students is attractive and easy to navigate.
I like the turnkey certificate availability as well.
The price is reasonable and great for people like me who prefer to experiment with different options before a real launch.
The Customer Service has been pretty responsive to my questions in a reasonable time period. The responding parties appear knowledgeable and genuinely caring about my concerns. This is perhaps at the top of my list for choosing an online package.

Cons: The NOTES for the NOTICEBOARD is not easily edited. I have to discard and recompose the notes. There is no instruction that warned me about this.
I do not see the link that is needed to post the courses on my website.
I would like to have courses available in the library to show availability and still charge a separate fee.
It is not clear how to charge subscription fees as opposed to single one time charges.
I had some other challenges about the listing that I can't remember right now.

Overall: Even with the challenges, this package is considerably easier to use and effective with keeping my participants engaged. I do not have to provide a lot of instruction for usage. I would gladly recommend this to anyone who wants to host online instruction.

Pros: Litmos is easy to use overall. We can define our own learning paths, make classes active or inactive and quickly add or deactivate users.

Cons: The Customer Support is not very good. We had an issue with many of the Litmos provided videos not playing and found out weeks later that those particular videos had been dropped. The ones that were they were replaced with were okay but not as good as what we lost and it took too long to find this out. We also had an access issue supposedly due to an unpaid bill but we had the paid receipt and provided numerous times before access was granted again.

Pros: I like the fact I can create a learning path and force clients into a course order when training.
Having separate learning paths helps track different departments needs. The new Dashboard was a much needed update.

Cons: Software is slow and not user friendly for new learners. I wish it was more interactive training, limited on what you can do with the program.

Pros: It's very intuitive and easy to get up and running with very little training. No product/LMS has everything but Litmos has a LOT! The support team is pretty quick to respond when issues do come up.

Cons: I wish there was more consistency in the admin interface. For example, some modules/features offer search functionality and some do not. Some text entry areas have the rich text editor/source toggle and others do not. Little things, but they can have a big impact on admin user experience, ease of use, and huge time savers.

Overall: In a very short time, we went from ZERO eLearning to having role specific learning paths for most roles in our organization with a very small team of "do it all" team members. You can't do that without a flexible, intuitive, and powerful LMS.

Comments: We began with Litmos to fill specific needs for compliance training for our users across multiple counties. Now that we have a better understand of all of the great stuff we can do with Litmos, the Change request don't stop coming.

Pros: Litmos is both easy and useable for all of our employees. Whether they are within the Company Network, on the road with a mobile device, at home from their private devices or in the Internet Café around the corner! Learning should be fun, effective and not add to the stress of our daily job. Simple holistic UI that doesn't overpower the user. Makes life easy for our 'Salesforce #AwesomeAdmin!

Cons: As a seasoned #Salesforce #AwesomeAdmin I miss the flexibility of the Reporting/Dashboard functionalities provided by the platform. Litmos would up the bar even more if I had these tools without having to commission professional services.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take the time to get a test Org, you'll be glad you did!

Pros: Very easy to use and the UI is simple. Had no issues with using the system and testing, important when considering an LMS for your team.

Pros: I love the look and interface of Litmos, it's fresh, very up-to-date ... for all the complete reporting module, it's exceptional, the whole system works almost as if you were using a tutorial, it's very simple and animated ... I like how easy it is to upload information such as Power Point presentations, videos, recordings and scorm ... the price is very competitive, it has no comparison with other services. The support teams, sales and account management are incredible.

Cons: the integration with other systems is not as efficient, the personalized reports can improve, I feel that they are very limited or difficult to create, some modules of the program are not so intuitive , in the security module, configuring the privileges of the users can cause a bit of confusion.

This has been one of the easiest LMS to implement and administer.

Pros: We were looking for something easy to administer. When we implemented Litmos LMS, it was very simple and easy. It's also very intuitive and easy to navigate.

Cons: Reporting and some UI functions for administration need improvement. However, on a positive note, I was able to join a website that allows us to report and vote on new issues and enhancements.

Overall: The learning management system which provides educational content for internal staff, business partners, and clients.

8. Customer support has been helpful in answering my emails so far, but I haven't had too many needs to address at this point.

Cons: 1. Would like to be able to track instructor led training classes in this system (sign up sheets, etc.)

2. Would like to be able to have more control in customizing the user account permissions. Ideally, we would like to be able to set someone like a Team Leader, but also be able to view the full library of courses that they can select to assign to their Team members. The Training Administrator level offers probably too many options for general use and the Team leader doesn¿¿¿t have access to the Course Library. Also, wouldn¿¿¿t want Team Leader to create accounts either.

3. Just for our purposes, but it would help us if the trial was a 30 day trial. I'm having a hard time pulling everyone together to review this system in the short window of time.

4. Would like to be able to customize the look and feel a bit more. Maybe a few more options here would be nice such as layout options, sizing and positioning of banner header, custom links fields that can be added, etc.

Overall: We are still evaluating this system. It does have a lot of impressive features that we have seen so far.

We are moving away from Litmos after having used it for 3 years.

Pros: Have used it for offering paid customer product training on our products. Has 1000+ users in the system right now.
Pricing is reasonable.

Cons: Too much manual work steps due to lack of integration / APIs for automation.
No support for a "subscription" model with renewable access to a number of courses (ie. recurring revenue model).
Poor responsiveness towards extension requests.

Overall: Fast deployment of eLearning business - but is now looking for another platform.

Pros: It is extremely easy to use and requires almost no IT interaction at all. The new Branding feature allows us to improve not only the Learners experience, but improves our ability to organize different teams or groups within each Brand.

Cons: The reporting module didn't allow us to report the information we wanted to see initially, but they have made great steps forward in creating a new reporting engine that is making life a little easier.

Outstanding support. Easily integrates with SFDC and our SSO.

Pros: We went from documents on a server (somewhere) for users to fish through for self-study (they didn't and the support team suffered) to department specific learning paths in a short time.

The gamification keeps users engaged.

The ability to offer blended training is a big plus.

Integration with other software we use (Salesforce).

If you want/need to create your own material (we do) it is fairly easy to create courses and learning paths.

Quizzing verifies comprehension and lets us know who needs extra attention.

Cons: Uploading new content can very slow. The interface isn't that intuitive but there have been improvements over the past year or so.

Overall: Went from word and powerpoint lost on a drive somewhere to guided learning paths for users.

Comments: We use Litmos to host eLearning for our clients when their LMS's don't make the cut. Sometimes they're looking for a way to deliver training to personnel outside their organization, other times they need to meet a critical training deadline that their internal LMS couldn't satisfy. No matter the business problem, Litmos allows our team to get courses out the door quickly to audiences ranging from tens of learners to thousands of learners.

Pros: The price is right. It's super easy to scale your license allotment up or down with training demand. The UI is simple and easy to use. Reports are exactly what you would expect. Bulk user management is as easy and flexible as it gets!

Cons: Sometimes we have to collate a couple different reports to get all of the columns we need in one report. Not the end of the world, but it takes some tinkering to figure out which reports have exactly the right information in them.

Recommendations to other buyers: Our use case is simple and Litmos meets our needs perfectly. It's stable, reliable, and much easier to use than other LMS's we've used in the past. Would buy again.

Litmos is the versatile and easy to use platform we need to manage our training program.

Pros: Loved how easy it was to plug an Articulate file and launch the learning piece so quickly. It was easy to duplicate and create quizzes.

Cons: I really wanted better reporting from the user end of the quizzes. It also was a chunky, clunky interface for users.

Comments: If you need something simple and quick to launch, you should give Litmos serious consideration. If you have to do reporting of training to regulatory authorities, you need to investigate very carefully. The API interface is interesting, but unfortunately they do not expose many data fields...so going the API route to address the shortcomings of the UX will not get you far.

Pros: Very easy to install, get running with a polished interface (assuming you have done LMS installs before).

Cons: Report module is terrible -- it failed my external auditor's assessment. Learning Paths are a great idea, but you can't set parameters on them like courses, do reporting...they are essentially invisible. Documentation is very limited. There is no troubleshooting and the blogs are fairly useless. The system is hosted on Rackspace and sometimes the performance for the Learners is painfully slow (30-90 seconds of lag time between clicks). The uploads of SCORM files can go anywhere between 15-20 seconds to 4+ hours. The ongoing operation of their platform needs serious improvement. Documentation and examples of use of the API interface is very poor.

Pros: The simplicity and usability of the learner view makes it easy for them to know what courses to do and what needs completing. Building courses is easy as well and they offer quite a few module course types in addition to that recently there are a lot of great features to automate the the reminders to ensure learners are completing tasks on time.

Cons: Could use some more reporting on the instructor led sessions. In my specific use case I need to report on the number of live sessions we are doing and often requires some excel magic to get what we need. Also would like to see more integration into other virtual platforms other than GotoTraining.

Overall: We needed a central place to house all of our courses and needed the ability to track who has completed what and where our learners are struggling. Based on the tracking for our support teams we have been able to change our approach and be more inclusive of everyone.

Pros: We when first started our small business this was a good alternative for us. There were very few light users LMS plans available.

Cons: The price. Their prices kept going higher and higher and we had no alternative other than discontinuing our subscription.

Not great customer support. We had to follow up more than once before our account was closed.

Pros: It is easy to customize the look enough to make the software feel like your own. You can setup your own structure and design. There are cool integration for "games" systems built in.

Cons: The customer support can sometimes take a little while to resolve issues. Sometimes wonky stuff happens that you cannot explain. The structure can be a little rigid in certain areas such as permissions.

Overall: We use Litmos as the base for our custom learning site to train our end users on our computer software and the different modules in the program. We have started with the Litmos standard and through coding and customization created our own learning platform

Recommendations to other buyers: Play around with the setup internally before opening it up externally. Once you have made changes in the wild it sets up for client calls/tickets

Pros: 1. How easy it is to learn
I was introduced to Litmos a year ago and very quickly was able to learn how to use it despite never having worked with an LMS before.
2. How customizable it is
We are using the Litmos platform for three separate subscription-based products, not all of which fit the traditional LMS model. We have been able to work with Litmos to customize each of them to meet our needs.

Cons: 1. Limited number of courses allowed in each learning path
We have more than 50 courses in some of our learning paths and have had to find a way to break them into 2 or more paths.
2. File size limitation
Some of the files we need to upload exceed the 30MB limit and are difficult to break into smaller chunks

Overall: Personally, the opportunity to learn a new skill. For my company, the ability to create new products and improve the delivery of current products.

Pros: I love the simple and clean user interface. It's great that you can drag and drop pieces of content into a course and quickly connect courses to create a learning path.

Cons: There are a number of bugs that need work, and inaccurate data shows up in some of my reports. Also, support is hit or miss in terms of quality responses.

Great learner experience but stumbles at scale

Comments: Pros: The Litmos user interface is quite intuitive, especially for the learner. We often hear how simple and organized the learner content is compared to other systems our learners use. This foundation and user experience makes Litmos a great application to deliver our learning content.

Cons: The biggest issues we see are around scale as we add more learners to our system. Many of the back-end features (user management, team management, reporting, etc.) work really well with as many as a few hundred users, however, these features fall flat and make management quite difficult with 1000+ learners. Additionally, the omission of learning paths (ability to assign learners to a series of courses based on their needs) makes on-boarding new employees a pain.

Summary: Overall, we are pleased with our choice of Litmos as an LMS. The learners' user experience definitely helps to overshadow some of the back-end shortcomings. As we continue to grow our use of the system, we hope to see Litmos make investments to make their LMS a viable system for thousands of learners within a single organization.

We had recognized scaleability being a major problem for our larger customers. We listened to them and added a large number of features to help with bulk management of learners. Of these features we have added Learning Paths to help guide learners through a series of courses and give Admins an easy way to assign multiple courses to learners at a time. We are always bringing more resources on to our team so that we can be the front runners in the LMS space.

Pros: It's incredibly user-friendly and gets the job done. It has many functions and helps makes the training processes fun.

Cons: Some functionality is limited, but Litmos is constantly working to add in features.

Overall: We started with a very complicated LMS that we did not love at all. When our contract was up, we went searching for something else. We can across Litmos and it seemed to be just what we were looking for: simplified, easy-to-use, but does all the same things that our old LMS could do. So we went for it, and we haven't regretted it since!

I've had a positive experience using Litmos LMS as an admin on the site and a user.

Pros: It's user-friendly and easy to navigate. I also like that there is a mobile app for our users to access content. The support team has been responsive to questions and requests. Updates to software has also benefited our team and our content.

Cons: One of the things that my team and I have had an issue with is not being able to bulk delete users once they are in the system, or having to individually reactivate any deactivated or inactive users.

Comments: It's no secret that there are a multitude of options in the marketplace when considering an LMS. Your specific training requirements will dictate which direction you take. However Litmos offers customer service and support that is second to none! This is the reason I have chosen them above the rest at 2 separate companies over the past 2 years.

Cons: Right now there are 1 or 2 small bugs with one feature of their site (Learning Paths) but I know their IT team is working hard to fix the problem!

Overall: I spent several months searching for the right LMS for our company and the answer was Litmos! It is so user friendly for both the admin and the learner.

Recommendations to other buyers: I highly recommend Litmos for your company LMS!

Pros: Because Litmos is cloud-based, it allows both trainers and employees to access the learning content from mobile devices which greatly improves participation and compliance. I can add and edit content for all of my company's courses without any programming knowledge because Litmos' interface is so simple to understand. I even customized it to my company's colors and logos.

Pros: Product has the unique flexibility to handle Sales Enablement requirements. Sales Enablement reflects a "practice" and Sales IP that is central for a reproducible, measurable sales Model(s). Additionally, ability to align ILT to course content is essential. Limos allows of an intuitive acquisition of the precise information a sales person is seeking. Lastly, it has a "SALES FLOW PATH" capability called a Learning Flow Path. This allows for training sales teams in a methodical way with predicable outcomes.

Cons: Not a con....but any LMS will take time to become fluid in its use and leveraging all its features. Out of the many that was evaluated..this product/company was the top of my list for 100 employees or less. That said, it is scalable but that was not a consideration for our needs.

Cons: Design is sometimes clunky and doesn't translate well across devices; some components of the program aren't intuitive and featured you would expect aren't available.

Pros: The site is amazing it allows you to customize it to your brand and our employees enjoy it. It's easy to use, has a checklist feature, great support, and has a beautiful design.

Cons: The different level of permissions are pretty broad. I would like to be able to give specific permissions, i.e. the ability to edit passwords, to others without having to change their role.

As a nonprofit organization, this LMS was the easiest, most intuitive and cost effective option

Pros: Dashboard is clean and easy to navigate. Adding/editing/removing/archiving courses, participants and sessions is really easy. UI is updated. Customer service team is prompt to reply. Great for internal or external customer use.

Cons: Reporting could be a little more robust but all in all this is an LMS that I would recommend to others.

Pros: User friendly, the team support team is responsive to our request and need and continues to amaze us with new rollouts. This system is truly one of a kind!

Cons: It's hard to find a lot of cons with the system. The system did not have prerequisites BUT the last rollout had them included. They are responsive to the customer which is awesome.

Comments: We have been using Litmos for a few years and it has been a very good experience. There are still a couple of features for sorting and moving users between teams and courses I would like to see, but since day one this has been one of the easiest and yet robust LMS.

Pros: Easy to use and set up for the first time. Lots of good features for courses and adding various media.

Cons: Still really clumsy on selecting users in bulk and moving them between teams.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is a great platform that allows every media format. If you are looking for a LMS platform that is easy to set up and will handle lots of course material, this is your LMS.

Pros: Litmos is easy to use, the courses are easy to create and you can customize them using videos, texts, power points, images, etc. Each course can be assigned to groups or users so it is easy to keep control on who is accessing each course. At the end of each course you can create a test with a lot of different options. Reports are very nice and you can see what users are doing keeping control on the results.

Cons: It would be nice to have the option to pull contents from other sources creating in the courses or assessments.

Pros: This is an easy platform to set up and use. It has good integration with Salesforce and allows us to have tracks and badges that make learning fun.

Cons: Best for internal training - it is not as good for external training, which is what our needs are. Also the design options are limited.

Comments: We have used several LMS's, reviewed many. Litmos wins on many fronts. On the surface, many LMS's look good and work OK. Dig in, implement and negative issues arise. Digging in with Litmos and most my surprises were positive. They have made things easy, everywhere. And they are listening and getting better every update. Test this product against any "bigger" LMS. I believe Litmos will win and the bonus will be less $$. Notes: Easy registration, intuitive graphical interface, deep integration with Salesforce, 10 custom fields in registration, custom categories helping learners find courses, SSAE 16, Soc ll security certification, more languages, can have optional content with required content..reorder it..and add content to an existing course, can see status of completion for every piece of content in a course, admin can see learner view instantly, easy learning paths, auto schedule good looking pdf reports to any email, allow hlml code in most text boxes for customization, impressive auto email options, online community, impressive support....... and so on.

Comments: It started out great but as I get to learn more about the LMS it is not doing what we were promised it could do.

Pros: I love most of the support team. I feel like they go above and beyond to be helpful. They rate a 10 in my book. And I love the easy interface design.

Pros: It is a great product to set-up several of our required training needs, to allow our users to access and do the training as required and on their schedules.

Cons: I don't know if its a set-up issue, but there are no email reminders to do a training module, when it is about to expire.

Pros: The system is extremely user friendly for the end user and administrators. It is customizable allowing us to brand it to our needs.

Cons: The system condenses trainings down once uploaded making them difficult to view. To work around this we have made trainings longer or had to place them in the additional references.

Pros: Litmos made it easy to share trainings with large groups and keep track of who had done the training. I liked being able to see who on the team had completed the training and who had not so I could easily keep track of progress. This stored documentation is also helpful if you are in a regulated industry where certain trainings may be required.

Cons: If you are a manager, Litmos may not be the easiest software to use because you have to toggle between two different views. It would be a little easier if there were a combined dashboard. That being said, once you figure it out it's not too difficult.

Overall: The biggest benefit of Litmos was tracking who had completed a training and who had not.

Pros: Very easy to setup and use.
Look and feel is professional and modern.
Learners have never complained about the user interface.
Development team is pretty quick to implement changes.
Nicole is great at responding and keeping you in the loop on what is happening.
Low cost product.
Easy to scale.

Cons: Reporting features could be improved.
SCORM individual reporting slows things down, being able to download the results would be easier.
Users do have problems where they're results to SCORM questions don't get recorded. I don't know if this is a Litmos issue or something to do with the modules themselves. When I reset the user on that module it works. However users are unhappy when they've lost the answers they've already made.

Overall: I would highly recommend Litmos as a low cost professional LMS solution that enables quick roll out and has the support of a helpful and fast support and development team.

Pros: There is not much good that I can say. My feelings about the product are so colored by terrible customer service. I would definitely steer clear of this company.

Cons: My customer experience was the WORST I have ever experienced! I still do not have a satisfactory response. I asked over a dozen people over several days for a link to the course descriptions for the courses we have purchased and a link to the course catalog. Most of the CSRs I talked with spoke English with accents that were almost impossible to understand. A typical response (which I received today) from the support staff: "Hi, "I am sorry. As this is a Litmos inquiry & not Litmos Heroes we can't help. I am passing this onto our colleagues at Litmos to get picked up ASAP. Thanks, This came four days after my original request, BTW. If my company's customer service team operated like yours, we'd be out of business! I'm sure that's where you're headed! The difference between Litmos and Bridgefront are night and day!

Comments: I needed to stand up an LMS very quickly. With no prior experience I reviewed 8 different platforms. Litmos stood out among them for it's ease of use both in creating courses and for the learner. The responsiveness of the Litmos team sealed the deal.

Although there are some limitations with the types of reports and views I need, I know the team is willing to listen and make changes to meet customer requests.

I am still in the very early stages of using the platform and know I have a long way to go, but I am glad that we chose Litmos as they are growing too and I think we can be partners for a long time to come.

Pros: Two things, actually 1) It is insanely adaptable without being difficult to lean to use. I can upload any type of learning without needing help. 2) In a field of huge prices, they were not only inexpensive, but gave us a discount for being non-profit, and only charge based on MONTHLY logins. I can't stress this enough: they were the only vendor willing to recognize some of us don't need to train a person every single month. Some of my learners will login a lot. Others I will train and set free till next year.

Cons: Their website (not the platform but the sales website) is not the easiest to navigate. I think they really prefer you just talk to your contact instead of investigating things on your own.

Recommendations to other buyers: Consider what you will be doing with it, and talk to anyone else who might want to use it. I went with Litmos because they adapt to any needs. Many will only offer you their programming, or insist on huge initial setup fees. Litmos adapts to all kinds of content and adapts their pricing to all kinds of learning paths.

Pros: Training can set up into sections and can be found with ease as well as a clean system that can be navigated with ease

Cons: No description of each task or training unless picked on. A preview of each section or training would be better for users.

Pros: Absolutely nothing

Cons: Interface , ease of use , it doesn't work , browser support , tech support , pretty much everything , I have never hated something as much as this software .

Overall: My company started using this software and I want to scream ! First couldn't get logged on then the training freezes in the same spot and won't let you progress , company response was to just try it in google chrome , well I did and the same problem , it keeps getting stuck in a loop and will not progress to next section without tech support manually selecting complete , I freaking HATE this thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommendations to other buyers: I would rather hand write essays on safety than be subjected to using this software .

Pros: Rich mobile capabilities for access from anywhere. Strong tracking of what the users actually did in the course. Good support for engaging and interactive content. Nice ability to string courses together into learning paths (i.e. curriculum) to form a complete enablement on a topic.

Cons: Occasional glitch in recording course completion if exits by closing window. No support yet to take course offline (but supposedly coming soon).

Overall: Effective enablement for distributed salesforce. Cost-effective approach for enabling future sales colleagues as they join.

Pros: System has been easy to implement and has been recieved well by our learners. We have over 500 learners so "easy to use" was a pre-requisite.

Cons: There is an error that crashes the system 80% of the time that is annoying. When clicking on a USER and assigning a team to the user, it crashes often. It sends me to the "oops" page.

Overall: I would like to see the ability to add a team under a team. For example I might weant to move my entire "sales team" to a new market... it seems that the only way to do that is one by one. It happened the other day when I created a team for "service and repair" and needed to add multiple locations (teams) under this team. no way to do it .

Pros: Litmos is a great learning management system. We use it to host internal employee training as well as some trainings we have shared with clients, and the process has been very smooth with both sides. User management is also really easy.

Cons: I wish I had more training on the mobile app side of the software, but that could have been an internal issue with my company for not providing the training.

Pros: I have found Litmos to be remarkably easy to use. It was a good, modern looking interface. The functionality has given us everything we have needed so far, and recent upgrades have improved it even more. A good bang for your buck.

Cons: They could have more videos and tools for purchase, but they have expanded that since we first started using Litmos.

Pros: I received training's via Litmos and it was so easy to use. Trainings were distributed to individuals or groups from the training department and Litmos kept track of who had taken them and when. I liked using it because I could stop mid-training if something urgent came up and return to it later. It was really flexible.

Cons: I'm not sure the company was taking full advantage of all Litmos had to offer. There seem to be a lot of options for customizing but figuring them all out without guidance took a bit of time.

Overall: Litmos made it easier for the training department to assign out and track trainings throughout the company. I was a user and receiving and taking the trainings was so easy.

Comments: Most of the help desk is found in YouTube videos. Emailing help desk brings no response. Rep is the only live human you talk to and if he/she doesn't know you are out of luck.

Pros: Software is very intuitive and easy to use. Has nice reporting module and is fairly customizable. I like the contemporary look and feel Ease of user self-registration

Cons: Account and subscription management.

Overall: Shame that Litmos has continued to bill me for 9 months this year despite written cancellation of my sub. After numerous emails and promises to refund coming to nothing, I am on the verge of canceling my Amex card of 25 years to avoid billing. An expensive product that is happy to take your money but slow to front up when instructions have been given to cancel to a cheaper and more visually appealing product. There is no capacity in the accounts section to cancel a subscription. I did it in writing to the support team and it has been ignored. Do not sign up, you might be in an endless subscription with extreme difficulty getting your funds back.

Cons: Flash can be slow and studders causing errors.
inconsistent reporting results - one report shows one result while another shows something different.
restarting a module erases the last result, leading to dozens of manual adjustments
security access set up is too simple (3 permission levels plus a global access is not sufficient for companies larger than 50 people) as it allows users to alter their user names and team leaders to delete records (only HR should be able to do this).

Overall: I highly recommend this product for smaller companies (<100) but I think with 1000 employees, I am really pushing at the limits of what this software can do.

Comments: Don't change your mascot. In the limited amount of time I have spent using Litmos I found found it fairly easy to use. Also, anytime I have contacted the support team I have had my questions answered quickly and professionally.

Pros: I find the system very user friendly and easy to build courses. I am looking forward to the advanced reporting being launched.

Cons: I understand that there may be some limitations to the Webex integration. Meaning not every version of Webex will integrate. I would like to have the ability to use all levels of their service or if you offer a web hosting feature this could solve my current problem.

Pros: It's a good platform to store training sessions and do assessments. It supports different medias like videos, audios and PPT presentations.

Cons: It didn't work very smoothly when we started to implement it. Team leaders were struggling to watch the training sessions before assigning them to the team, they don't offer chat support for quick questions, the training session to get to use the software was canceled and never rescheduled again, so I feel we didn't have enough support to get the most out of the software.

We offer a full 24x7 phone and email support and we do not have embedded chat support as it would require user data transferring to a third party which we do not want to do as security is our number one priority. Pros: This program is very easy to navigate, the customer service reps are very helpful, the expanse of what this program offers is quite large. It is also very aesthetic in design.

Cons: Not many things that this program has is a drawback, the only thing I would say is that this is much more geared to a company with about 500+ employees in order for the cost effectiveness to be in place.

Overall: Friendly customer service, clean employee onboarding techniques, advantageous for larger companies

Pros: I've enjoyed using this software. It's an easy way to deploy training to our new hires. We've also used it for deploying new processes and features of our software for our sales team.
Their customer service is also great. They are always to help with any issues that our team has.

Overall: The software is easy and intuitive. They seem to continue to roll out new features and stay competitive in the market.

Pros: Litmos is extremely easy to deploy and use. There is very little training needed to get employees up to speed. Roles are clear and defined. The user interface is extremely up to date and allows for easy navigation. There are a lot of cool features which help drive user engagement.

Cons: The content in Litmos Heroes is not sorted or categorized so our users need to utilize the search functionality in order to locate courses they want to take.

Pros: I love how easy it is to create a course and the deadline reporting is easy to use. We hardly have any trouble with our users not being able to navigate the system.

Cons: I would like for there to be a way to take our users in LMS from a module then directly into our core system to process transactions that we just went over in the module, making it a little more hands on. There might even be a way to do this and we are not aware of it.

Comments: Litmos is an excellent platform for us to provide our BonaTraining programs to our customers after (and sometimes prior to) attending our 4-Day hands-on sessions! The functionality allows us to do so much more than just posting Youtube videos and lets us truly engage with our customers. It also opens up all kinds of other training opportunities that we just don't have the physical or time resources to capitalize on from a day-to-day basis. Now BonaTraining is available when convenient for our customers and at theirchosen speed! Perfect!!!

Pros: The support is great. I'm impressed how customer driven the system is with the use of the uservoice website. And that the recommendations for the system actually get implemented. I also find the webinars to be extremely helpful understanding all the features and updated of the system.

Cons: There is nothing that I necessarily do not like. We do not use the system for in house training, which seems to be the main use for it. I wish it was focused a bit more on basic online education.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would take the time to review some of the webinars to understand the different functions and features. They give good insight to what the system is capable of doing.

Comments: Litmos offered more in terms of course development tools, storage capacity, reporting capability, and ease of use than any other product we looked at. From the sales staff to the helpdesk, everyone is cheerfully supportive, quick to respond, and the questions get answers.

Pros: I can assign different levels of access depending on the functions of the members of the team.

Cons: Haven't found anything I can't get along with!

Recommendations to other buyers: Buy it. The value for the price is absolutely sustainable.

Comments: After a comprehensive search for a Learning Management System, our company selected Litmos. It combined the features we needed with a great user interface and an excellent price point. We began implementation in august and are already seeing significant benefits to our organization by December. The most exciting thing has been the unsolicited praise provided by members of our sales team.

Comments: We have developed a lot of courses and used the product extensively. We had to use tech support for getting single sign on to work directly with ADFS. The process was painful and took several weeks to resolve the issue. At times it would take days to get a response and if you wanted to call support, you cannot find a phone number. Overall the system is awesome and works well, improved customer service times and adding phone support would be beneficial!

Pros: I like the fact that the LMS is SCORM Compliant, and that the reporting for my SCORM Modules is easily accessible and easy to read and understand. I like the fact that it is also very easy to upload my SCORM Modules into the LMS.

Cons: Litmos does not provide new features or updates as fast as other Learning Management Systems out there in the market. Litmos provides a page where you can make suggestions, but they are very slow at getting to each suggestion on the site and actually implementing at least the very good suggestions.

Recommendations to other buyers: Evaluate Litmos by seeing how its LMS has made a positive impact for your organization.

Pros: I love the user interface--both backend and trainee. Its simple intuitive and easy to use. Clean and crisp without a lot of clutter.

Cons: Reporting has been a real issue. Having the ability to export data I need without being limited to the options currently provided is critical. We have to jerry-rig the reports to give us what we need.

Just let me export everything in excel in an easily filterable format!

Small item--you should be able to get to a trainee's assessment through their user page, too.

Overall: I like it. I would recommend it especially to someone who didn't need the reporting that I do. This is actually the main limitation and would potentially push us to find another LMS.

Comments: Very easy to use, nice clean design. One thing I would recommend while configuring the system is to document all the decisions you make in the configuration process, both the things you decide to turn on and the things you decide not to turn on. It is usually easy to remember why something is configured to be active, but it is often less clear why something was not made active. Documenting your decision process will save you time later when questions come up about why certain features are turned off.
