We bought the biometric time clock at Costco and derived the super good value from this time tracking solution over the years. Pros I liked how the Hour Summaries were organized, those were pleasant looking screens. Also, it was easy and flexible in terms of generating reports for audits. Liked how employee database was structured. Cons Our version was not cloud based, you couldn't look up the punches on the web, the software was installed into one machine at the office. It can be a bit tempermental when it comes to managing, as sometimes the windows services will crash/stop working. We use it to track a 1/2 mobile, 1/2 local workforce and it works great. Setup can be a bit tricky and it requires some check-in management, so I wouldn't run this in your environment if you didn't have an IT guy around. Pros Integrated, locally-hosted website for clocking in and out is simple, well designed, and intuitive. Has support for older wall units we have on shop floor for techs to punch in and out. Integration features to push to our financial package work great. Cons Runs slow, has some older legacy quirks in design for administrating. Windows services crash for no apparent reason sometimes.
