Comments: This product has many features that are fantastic, but as a new user (less than a year), I am still surprised on a regular basis by what it cannot do. There are many basic features that are illogical. New Hire documents can be uploaded to a library and included in the New Hire Onboarding process. Fantastic! There is no way to control the order in which the New Hire reviews those documents. New Hires onboard using their personal email address because they don't have a work email yet. Later, during a Benefit Open Enrollment, notifications can't be directed to their work emails but goes to their personal email address. A New Hire becomes active as soon as they complete the onboarding process, not on their Hire date. We found that out by paying a New Hire early. The custom template of instructions for Benefit Onboarding can't be saved; it has to be entered every time an Event is created. We have also had great difficulty with support. Lots of "We're sorry" and "You were dropped through the cracks". We have also been told, more than once, that it is our responsibility to make sure something is working the way it should. As a new user, we can't know what we don't know! Paycor isn't ready for prime time with this.

Pros: Payroll, Benefits and HR are connected and changes in any field updates across the modules (assuming it has been set up correctly). Employees can update much of their personal and payroll information themselves, saving the Administrator time. Onboarding of a New Hire works very well and not having all that paperwork in a file is terrific. If you get support rep on the phone, they are fantastic to help.

Cons: Paycor frequently directs the user to their Knowledge Base, which is extensive. So extensive that it's nearly impossible to sort through it looking for an answer to the question at hand. The reporting feature is the same way. Hard to find what you need and tough to create what you need. Their support is less than impressive. Implementation was not well directed, mistakes were made by Paycor and by us due to lack of guidance from Paycor. Once active, support has been inconsistent. We are frequently surprised to find what should be a simple task is not even possible. Implementation of improvements is slow to appear. The parts that work well are impressive, but overall we have been less than pleased and very frustrated.

Pros: It's hard to pick out a single thing. The ease of the payroll processing is so nice. I really like that I can access the employee record from the pay data grid. This gives the ability to view an employee's earnings and deductions, figure out what might need to be adjusted, make the adjustment right in the pay data grid, and recalculate the check! The time and attendance is a great tool for tracking time off and scheduling different leaves for our staff, and it's easy to make a change to the reason or day if needed. The HR piece of Paycor has simplified things for me in that I have changed our benefits to an online enrollment (fabulous). I've utilized the forms and documents section for a central location to refer all employees to, and the company news lets me put time sensitive materials on there. Paycor has been very easy to work with and extremely helpful. I like having a specialist for each piece of the product; I can call and present my problem without having to be passed to five different departments. They are prompt in resolving my problem and very courteous.

Cons: I would like to have the ability to create quizzes to send out to employees that can be tracked on their employee records. I currently use the surveys for some of this but wish there was more functionality with the surveys. We are now using the performance review portion, and I wish there was a way to exclude the weights since we don't use them, although I did find a workaround.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would recommend others take a serious look at what Paycor has to offer. There are so many different possibilities with each piece of the product. The customer service has been outstanding; it's so nice to call and know you will get help and quickly. Companies should look at what they are wanting to gain from outsourcing payroll; if it's efficiency, ease, paper reduction, keeping current on changes, or running endless reports, then Paycor is the company that will meet these needs. Paycor has done a fantastic job in keeping clients up to date with healthcare reform and makes life easier for tracking employees to ensure compliance with the ACA.

Pros: The ability to run custom reports, the ease of the software

Overall: Paycor has exceeded my expectations time and time again. The customer service is fantastic! Having a dedicated specialist for each application makes things so easy when I have a question. This saves time on having to ask the question and risk being transferred to someone else. My specialists are always so kind and helpful, they are very patient and do all they can to help me.

Paycor is also a company that listens to the customers. Not all companies have the same needs but with Paycor you have the ability to make suggestions for changes and they really do monitor these and make changes. Every quarter they have updates of things they have changed or improved. It is nice to have a company that strives to make it customers jobs easier.

The software itself is easy to navigate and use. I have found the reporting feature to be of great value. I have several reports that need to be customized, this includes the order of the columns, adding formulas and sub-strings, to detailed employee information. My specialist helped me create a report for our workers compensation audit which saved me over 8 hours of work! I have also been able to customize reports that I need to run once a year, it is so nice to just be able to go in an hit "run report" and it's done.

Paycor also saved me a lot of time and concern last year with the 1095 forms. My specialist worked with me to ensure all the information was correct and then Paycor took care of the rest. What a relief that was, I didn' t have to worry about missing any deadlines or mailings.

If you aren't using a payroll provider or you are looking for a different one I would strongly encourage you to contact Paycor as they are definitely a top notch company!

Pros: Ease of use, accessibility, integartion between modules and some options for customization

Cons: There are areas of reporting and employee record set up that I wish i could customize more. also, we tend to have disruption in our scheduled reporting when there is a Quarterly Update. Also, the implementation process was bumpy at times in terms of time frams and communications, but at the end we were very happy with the product

Overall: I have greatly enjoyed the features that Paycor Perform has to offer. Using this system, I have been able to save hours of work every week in my processing of payroll and maintenance of employee records. The system is easy to understand and navigate. Our payroll specialist has always been there to help answer questions and guide us through new processes. I also love all the reporting options that are available. I can customize and share reports with others in my department. I also love that I can schedule reports to run and e-mail out. The HR module has greatly helped streamline our benefit and and HR management. Employees are able to view and manager their own profiles, which again saves a lot of time.

Overall, I have been very happy with Paycor Perform and the benefits it has provided to our company.

Recommendations to other buyers: It's a very modern system and a great improvement over the software we were using previously. As with any technology, there will be some bumps and a learning curve, but the team is very helpful in educating you and providing assistance.

Comments: Aside from the following issues, I've had some very friendly & helpful service. I do not have other experience with programs/companies like this to compare functionality/quality so it is really difficult for me to discern some of the ratings. 1) Some people in the same departmental/hr vs t&a vs payroll areas do things differently so if your rep is busy and doesn't respond to your e-mails for a week, a new person does not understand some of your functions. 2) I've had trouble with my reporting features not providing correct information and it worries me that there might be even more higher priority type items that are also not reporting or working correctly. 3) The two sides are not cohesive, such as calling someone a manager on one side and a supervisor on the other. I like that you can make them two different people, but calling them different names is confusing.

Pros: Almost always receive friendly helpful service. There are many options for customization. Mostly an easy to read and use interface.

Cons: If you don't set it up, some of the additional benefit/functions are very difficult to understand. I often have trouble setting up various items and would like to have a preview/test button before I share something to everyone, etc. The "OK" button after punching in/out is causing many double punches from people pressing Enter on their keyboards. Many employees complained for the lack of insight & instruction to the changes on this when they were made and do not think this particular interface is user friendly.

Pros: Ease of use, intuitive, presentation of database information

Cons: Cannot delete many things once they have been put in. For example, I made a mistake on someone's direct deposit record. I chose the incorrect deduction code on a direct deposit. I could not change the field once it was populated and saved. So, I had to turn that direct deposit off and enter the new correct information in a separate record. Would have been much easier to be able to edit that deduction code on the existing record.

Overall: The online Paycor platform is user-friendly and intuitive. Anyone who has worked in any type of payroll environment would find the platform easy to navigate with very little instruction. There are features that I do find to be superior to ADP, the payroll service I have previously used. I like how the employees are organized and the ease with which I can navigate from employee to employee. I also like the payroll process itself and how pre-post reports are available much more quickly than similar reports were available to me when using ADP. Finally, and most importantly, the customer service\support is far superior to ADP. With ADP, there was a customer service line to call and you would be routed to the first available representative. Sometimes you would get a very helpful, knowledgeable person. However, sometimes you wouldn't. And you would never get the same person twice, even if you had to call in again regarding the same issue. So, you would have to waste time either explaining again or giving the rep your case number to look up and wait while they review case notes. And they were not allowed to provide their direct contact information; you always had to call the main number and take the representative you got. But with Paycor, you have a dedicated representative that you can reach via e-mail or phone. This saves so much time for everyone because they already know about your business and your payroll and can help quickly and easily. Also, if an issue you have had before arises again, you don't have to explain it all over again to a new person. I have only been working with Paycor for about 4 weeks now and I am already completely satisfied with my experience.

Comments: Have someone that actually uses / deals with Human Resources and Benefits on a daily bases try out the system before you roll it out (a Beta Test?)

Pros: Perform information flows better to Time on Demand. The new hire process is a little better when entering data (it can be improved).

Cons: I can tell Perform was looked at from a payroll point of view not a Human resources and Benefits user point of view. As an example: ¿ We lost all of our reports when HRPerformer was upgraded to Perform ¿ I was not given an exact date for the upgrade ¿ Customer support was/is horrible, questions could not be answered, and follow up was mostly ¿We can¿t do that¿ or not answered at all. ¿ Not all fields are available when running reports. If you enter the information into Perform you should be able to run a report that include that information. ¿ When you run a benefits report to give to employees you don¿t include 401(k) in the report. A 401(k) plan is a big benefit. ¿ Perform is drop down box crazy, you have to hunt for every little thing. The system is not intuitive. As an example: Employee `Benefit Elections¿ is under `Company¿, why? It should be under `Employee¿.

Pros: It offers broad coverage of HR needs, including tracking time and leave, payroll processing, access to legal forms and employee files, etc. Paycor has seen marked improvement over the years I've been using it, now sporting a useful dashboard that presents the most-needed information at a glance. I like that when I log on I'm immediately presented with my leave balances, the date of my next paycheck, and access to the individuals that report to me. The Paycor interface is easy to navigate, place oft-accessed categories in logical places. Coming from ADP, Paycor was a huge step forward in functionality and ease of use.

Cons: While the worksheet for entering leave and time worked has been redesigned, the employee management area (where a supervisor approves leave, time cards, and tracks employee projects) remains dated and does not match the rest of the site. The form for recording employee progress toward goal completion and completing employee reviews allows only three types of fields, lacks conditional logic, and does not port employee entries to the supervisor rating form. These areas need a lot of work before Paycor becomes a true one-stop shop for our HR needs.

Overall: Moving from ADP was a vast improvement, even with the note cons. Paycor is comparatively modern and offers a more robust platform for HR needs in the cloud. Employee satisfaction with recording time, leave, and access to forms and legal documents improved dramatically with Paycor.

Pros: Paycor is rich in functionality. It does a great job in time keeping and has performed for payroll flawlessly once the bugs were worked out (which are inevitable when converting to a new system). Just about everything can be tweaked and changed to conform to a companies policies. You can drill down deep to give customized access to companies, groups, and even individuals in that you can assign a group to an individual, then customize their unique profile to give them access to the specific functions they need. The reporting is about as complete as you could want. There are standard reporting templates for just about anything you need, then you can customize these or build from scratch and keep the reports you want to use on a regular basis. Their help desk people are amazing and respond quickly with solutions. They are not hesitant to bring in other help desk employees if the answer is outside of their knowledge base.

Cons: Because the program is so rich in features, sometimes you need to use the 'Help' features to learn how to do something new, or refresh yourself. The 'Help' feature leaves a lot to be desired. When you search a feature, you usually get mostly questions from other users and even if you are very specific on what you are searching for, you often have to dig through a few pages to find your solution.

Pros: Definitely the support and CSR team. The UI is pretty good too.

Cons: Some of the setups for earnings and payroll deductions are not clear.

Overall: I have used several different payroll programs and Paycor is by far one of the best programs for small to mid-size companies. Your support staff is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Your ACA team walked me through the setup and import process. They reviewed my information and assisted me with any errors. They explained things as clear and concisely as they could in an area that the lawmakers are still trying to figure out. Emily Adkins is our current customer service rep and is fantastic!!! She has practical knowledge both from a user and support point of view. She has shown me other capabilities in the program that I didn't even know existed. The only area that I think could use some work would be in some of the features and functionality as well as the reporting. Since the upgrade last year, performance has dropped and it takes longer to generate reports. The program does not seem as stable as it was a year and a half ago. There is a lot of ambiguity in how some of the state taxes are calculated. I have been unable to foot your calculations to either the GA tax tables or their formulas. It is difficult to pull employee information for employees that were active any time during a time frame without including actual payroll data. Overall I think the product is great, your team is great and I would definitely continue using your product for years to come.

Comments: This is a great product! The ease of the system goes above and beyond my expectations. I love entering a new hire into the HR piece and everything is ready to go in payroll. There aren't a bunch of screens to go through, you scroll down and enter all information at once. Payroll is a breeze, we import from time and attendance, I'm alerted of warnings and a report of imported hours that may not match how an employee is set up. This is a huge help in correcting errors before the final import. Managing employees is simple, easy to find, update, and employees access their records. You choose what employees see and change, this helps with paper reduction. Last year was our first online benefits enrollment. My HR Specialist was fantastic helping set this up. We had some special rules; they helped me get it setup. Employees use Paycor to find information about benefits, plan details, coverage, contact info, websites, etc. This allows more time to focus on other areas of my job. It takes a little time to get everything entered and uploaded but worth it. The Performance Reviews were a little trickier, some things are required that we don't use, such as weights. You aren't able to pass this step unless something is entered, I¿d rather it be optional. I created a rating group and wasn't able to remove it. Our supervisors really like it, there is room for improvement, we¿d like employees to upload goals and achievements without having to rate themselves, if they don't do the self review it doesn't appear they can upload their information for the supervisor, but the supervisor is able to upload the information. I just started using the Recruiting section. I'm excited that to move to a paperless system for the supervisors to review resumes. I've only entered a few positions and the biggest drawback is I am not able to copy and paste the job description into Paycor. This makes the process time consuming to retype each one, but I like what I see with the ability to connect applicants to specific positions.

Overall I really like Paycor's system and look forward to the changes and improvements they continue to make. They have a feedback system you can post changes you¿d like to see and you are able to vote on what others have entered. Having a different specialist for each part of Paycor is great; the customer service I get from them is outstanding! If you don't use Paycor you are missing out on making your life easier.

Pros: That it handles all payroll processing tasks, its affordable, and the customer services is phenomenal! They are always ready to assist you and they do so in a timely manner, you don't have to wait around for hours or days, they are ready immediately to handle all your needs no matter what and if they do have to get back with you, it is within a very small window of time usually with in the hour.

Cons: Some of our reporting needs were not addressed, but we have been able to have them create custom reports for us, instead of us being able to create exactly what we needed.

Overall: Paycor is a one-stop shop with our organization, it manages our time and attendance as well as all our payroll processing and handles all the payroll taxes and filings as well as employee W2's. It is easy to use, they provide exceptional customer service, and it saves time each time you process payroll! It is very cost efficient and allows you to focus on other aspects of your job because they handle it all!

Cons: I have to go back to manage employees if I forget to modify something and I am already in the paygrid.

Overall: I get frustrated with the service. I am a customer who pays you approximately 10K plus a year for service but does not use your tax service because we pay taxes when due and do not want to prepay them early with your service. Because of this representatives have told me they will not answer questions about the tax returns, which you prepare and send to me. I am a paying customer that deserves service and many times the responses I receive are unacceptable. Honestly, it depends on who I am talking to because I have found that I get different answers based on who I speak with. I am not a fan of the support I received at all. I asked paycor to modify the GL report and was told it could not be done. The GL report is a report designed for our company and specific to our company. The answer is incorrect and unacceptable. Any report should be modifiable as it is used for our purposes only.

Recommendations to other buyers: Support Staff needs to be trained in customer service and that every paying customer deserves service

Overall: We switched from ADP to the Paycor platform 3 years ago and couldn't be happier with the decision to change. It was scary but Paycor was unbelievable through the whole process. We have improve our payroll processing time and accuracy unbelievable. We can run additional payrolls at any time ourselves, add new departments, job titles, etc all with no hidden costs and the immediate access for payroll journal previews make it a great platform. Paycor reporting is super easy to use and the ability to schedule reports to run daily, weekly, monthly is a huge timesaver. We took the leap and implemented carrier connection and Online Open Enrollment last year and couldn't be happier with the results. We also implement Self Service for our employees which our employees greatly appreciated. They now have access to their accounts and can make changes 24/7. Utilizing Paycor has streamlined our processes and improved us overall. We look forward to implementing more Paycor modules. Best of all their upgrades are based off our their customer feedback and suggestions.

Cons: We have payroll, time and reporting, and HR. When I call in our payroll contact has trouble answering questions about the time and reporting. Then he will sometimes refer to job aids:( I've also gotten feedback from employees that the system is down. Some of our non-exempt employees do not get vacation pay, while others do. It would be nice to be able to not have to add that as global feature and be able to select who has that. I also struggle on properly setting up a new hire. The time clock never seems to work on day one:( Rehires are also problematic.

Overall: We use the time and reporting system for our non-exempt employees. We also have HR services. One of our challenges is employees are logging the PTO hours in HR, and we have to manually add them to payroll. It would be nice if there was a way to have these hours seamless integrate. With the recent FLSA changes we will be moving more employees to time cards. We have talked about using the app to allow employees to login, but I would need additional training. We also need to institute managers signing off on time cards. Can you tell me if the managers can view their employee dashboard?

Pros: Paycor is easy to use for the most part, user friendly and greatly aided by its intuitive nature. Paycor is really customer centric , and over the past two year ; my team has made one or two recommendation to Paycor and we were happy to see it used in their next upgrade.

We even had a sales representative assigned to my company ,to help us overcome obstacles when they show up. From recruiting new team members ,accessing records accurately , on- boarding them ,to managing our payroll ; Paycor has become an important part of our internal processes.

Cons: Paycor's custom reports is for the most part very difficult to understand ,especially for users who have just a few months experience using Paycor. I will like to Paycor to introduce video tutorials to guide users faster, in situations where they miss their way using Paycor.

Pros: Very easy to use, easy to check your work, quick payroll turn around time. Entering new employees is easy. Updating automatic payroll deductions make sense and when doing a group of employees for the same deduction, it is easy to update and make changes. When I call in with a problem or question, I always get a live person quickly.

Cons: I wish there was a way that when processing payroll, I could get to a person's time card to check hours more quickly. When I'm in the process of payroll and something doesn't look right or there is a big difference in hours and I'd like to check the hours, there is no easy click to bring up the employees time card. I get out of the processing, go to manage and then the person then the time card. I just wish there was a way to do that process more quickly.

Overall: The overall use of the platform is confusing and very inefficient. I have 3 different Paycor reps that I have to TRY to reach in order to troubleshoot specific issues. Whenever I have to make adjustments within the "Schedules" section on Time on Demand, I have to go into the "Benefits" section and make the same adjustments just to make sure the balances are correct and tie out to each other. This is extremely inefficient. Trying to set someone up as an approval manager within ToD is also very confusing and time consuming. The online reporting is difficult to use and more often than not, when I try to run a report, it fails and will not generate any data. I much preferred the old Paycor platform to the Perform platform. I wish none of the changes had been made.

Overall: Paycor perform is a very intuitive and clean platform for payroll functionality, HR and ACA reporting. It is always improving and striving to be better. Customer service is great and one of the reasons I switched our company from ADP. I am assigned specialists that I can speak with directly. Every time I have spoken with a different representative, they have been helpful and never condescending like some help desk support. Reports are easy to navigate and build within the system.

It was a very easy transition and I have been completely satisfied with Paycor for our payroll, HR and ACA needs.

Pros: The end-user interface is easy to use for those with an understanding of basic site navigation. Paycor is designed for SMB and handles employee related data easily without unnecessary or bloated modules. Having a combined product eliminates the need for expensive interfacing that requires ongoing maintenance. In addition, the ATS, Newton, is among the best solutions for the SMB market out there; simple, easy for managers to use and intuitive.

Cons: Administratively this system is lacking. Fundamental features such as user administration and EEO reporting are ineffective and generate redundant work. The system does not communicate well between HR, payroll and user administration and Paycor gives little regard to the need to address this as they don't perceive it to be a problem with their system, rather it is the client with the problem. Customer service is not stellar and simple requests can take days to resolve.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you have a small HR staff or are a lone ranger, or have a dispersed non-tech savvy workforce I would think twice before biting the bullet of convenience of having two systems rolled into one. There are a number of significantly better HCM systems out there that will meet your needs without some of the quirks of paycor. Payroll is paycor's backbone and they do it very well, everything else is just an add-on to them.

Overall: While I like many of the features in Paycor, when combined with HR & Time and Attendance some of the features such as workflows in HR do not always sync every field. Using Time and attendance is not always easy for some of the employees and supervisors to use and the descriptions for a supervisor to approve a time card is "Locking" a time card not approving which adds confusion for some supervisors.

We are approaching a steady count of almost 300 employees so the system makes it easy to process new hires and all that we need for payroll and ACA functionality.

I do stress a little every time my account representative changes as we become comfortable with a particular individual and it gets difficult to adjust to the new...The really good ones seem to get promoted or moved and we get rookies and start all over...

Overall, there are a few things in the Paycor system that could make it more user friendly, but overall is a very good system.

Comments: We transitioned from ADP to Paycor two years ago. Overall, I have found the quality of the product to be excellent - from the team responsible for the transition through the new and improved platform we use today - "Paycor Perform".

Customer support is superior. Whether or not I reach out to our "dedicated" support specialist or just someone who is available when my specialist is busy, I get an answer quickly if not immediately via telephone call or email. Detailed screen shots and instructions are almost always included in Paycor's email responses, leaving little or nothing to the imagination. As a result, cases are quickly resolved and the documentation provided becomes part of my personalized reference guide.

Every aspect of the Paycor platform has been well planned with changes rolled out over a period of time that allows users to become familiar before having to "jump in". For instance, not only did Paycor introduce training on the IRS/ACA employer mandated reports (Forms 1094 and 1095) well before the data collection period began, but they also assigned a dedicated specialist for this transition. This provided me with a level of knowledge and understanding that enabled a nearly effortless transition. I've found their training and their support to be top notch.

We went from a time clock system which included binders full of documentation for missed punches and PTO requests to a web-based system that requires no paper documentation. In addition, the checks and balances that were once performed by one person (the Payroll Manager) are now allocated among several supervisors, which reduces the average payroll processing time and focuses employee time management responsibility back to the supervisors.

Finally, it is important to note that these improvements have all been accomplished (with more to come as time permits) at a lower cost than that charged by Paycor's predecessor!

A more satisfied customer will be hard to find!

Cons: Our labor hours go by jobs, Paycor does not allow for consecutive job numbers such as 1001, 1002, 1003 as the employees process new jobs.

Overall: I've processed payroll for years and Paycor has been, by far, the easiest to use for a Payroll Specialist. If you aren't sure, you have access to Paycor step-by-step tutorials with screenshots for payroll and HR. If you still need assistance, you can contact a devoted payroll specialist via email or phone call.

You can also ask questions to HR Specialists for those hard to find answers.

Paycor offers so many ways to assist in day-to-day payroll and HR business such as handbook assistance, Onboarding, uploading certificates, uploading company documents, etc.

Overall: As a former IRS agent who also taught employment taxes for the IRS I am quite happy with Paycor's ability to perform ALL of the payroll functions. I was a little hesitant at first to give up control because I NEED TO MAKE SURE everything is done right. But after being on Paycor for a year and a half I am very happy with their ability to do everything right. Taxes are properly calculated, payments are always made timely, and the payroll and quarterly reports I get are better than I use to do.

It did take a while for all the set-up to get up to my expectations but the customer support staff was patient and understanding. Also some items there is a slight maze to get through but it is workable and overall I believe this payroll program is the best available and I highly recommend it. This Controller sleeps peacefully at night knowing our payroll is in good hands at Paycor.

Pros: Time and attendance tracking was paramount. Especially for a start-up that I was helping get set-up. It's cloud based so no expensive software/hardware needed. HR and Payroll was paramount since employees are spread out across the East Coast so if there was an issue, we weren't bothered with minor details, Paycor was right on it.

Cons: No integration into QBO. Have used QB for several years and our tax/accounting firm is very used to it for quarterly filings. After some digging around we found a fix however Paycor was adamant that everything stayed in their platform. That's why the 3 star for Customer Support because I spent many hours pulling my hair trying to get the integration.

Overall: It allowed us to track when employees were actually present for their shifts. We used to have the honor system but as we all know.....it wasn't the smartest thing to do because we were always on the phone and texting checking in. Parycor took all of the guess work out of it. If they don't clock in.....they have no access to anything else to do their job.

Comments: We have been using Paycor for about a year now. The ease of use is okay, but the product needs streamlining. All functional areas have limitations and feature enhancements are slow in coming.

Pros: NEWTON (applicant tracking) rocks! Newton is definitely the best feature of Paycor by far! Newton is an extremely state of the art product and feature enhancements happen constantly to keep up with the demands of hiring.

Cons: No geo fencing No workforce scheduling Time and attendance is very manual, often times quirky and labor intensive but not all bad once all the data entry is done! PTO is shown in different ways in different areas of the product, needs to be more consistent as it gets confusing seeing different PTO amounts. Supervisors don't get consistent PTO notifications via email Need to enter same info in multiple areas which gets tedious and time consuming. Reporting is doable, but clunky as is FMLA tracking Implementation was driven on a schedule basis vs the implementers understanding the needs of the business Limitations are acknowledged by product reps, but feature enhancements are slow to happen. Reps don't "own" their customers, they are very transactional so building a relationship is hard.

Recommendations to other buyers: Paycor is a solid basic product for smaller companies, but needs streamlining and product/feature changes need to happen faster like they do on the Newton side. Newton is definitely worth your while!

I have found Paycor's payroll platform to be relatively easy to use.

Comments: Some of the group that has been assigned to our call center are not adequately trained in Consumer Directed Services and don't understand this business model.

Pros: I like the ability to print payroll paystubs, some of the reports and the user friendliness of the payroll input.

Cons: I was told initially that I could print a useable quarterly report for the state requirement. Since we have 15 or so employer reports to merge for that report, it has been quite challenging to get an appropriate report created with accurate data. Also, it is quite frustrating to log in multiple times per day and have to plug in a code that has been texted to me. Currently, we are code free which has been nice.

Pros: We are able to make changes when needed on our end most of the time. On occasion it requires a Paycor Rep to manage changes.

Cons: I think since we started with just the payroll part then later added the HR part there seems to be information that does not transfer from payroll over to the HR and it's confusing which place to enter what information for both parts to "talk" to each other.

Overall: The payroll module is pretty straight forward and associates are able to answer questions and assist when we call with questions.

The HR and ACA portion is not as easy to learn . We are not clear on how the contact for Client Support HR differs from the contact for Benefit Related HR questions . Is training available to come to our site?

Once we added all the different compenents, it has been confusing to know who to call to help for what section . Lately we have felt like a ping pong ball bounced from one rep to another.

Cons: Customer service is seriously lacking. We went from an assigned Account Manager to a customer service team. Any time you call in you will speak to a different person who will need 20 minutes to read your account profile, even if you are following up on an open ticket within a few minutes. I have sent emails to their support team that went unanswered for weeks on end even after forwarding back to them daily and carbon copying their management staff. The customer service really kills the whole experience for my company on what would otherwise be a very great system.

Pros: Not filing payroll reports anymore - including OBWC

Cons: If you need to reverse a check - which in our case happens mostly when someone quits, the fee is outrageous - it is hit on both sides - one to process and one to reverse

Overall: I like the system since it incorporated Ohio BWC but my rates continue to go up and I never hear from an account manager. We do have a payroll specialist and I will say all of the payroll specialists are very very good - but if you are looking for a personal phone call on how are we doing or how can we help you save money or go over your account - you will not get it - the original PAYCOR that I signed on to - I had an account manager who was great - he was moved and that was the last I heard of anything. If there is a call - it is to sell a new service. AND if you explain you do not need that service - the OT DOL deal - - everyone gets OT so we do not need it - I was still emailed to death and called to go over this law. I know we are a small business - but we are the ones that need package pricing not a fee for everything. I requested a detailed copy of a fee schedule that I have not received.

Pros: Selecting Paycor was one of the best decisions we made! It integrates flawlessly with our QuickBooks application as well as our time entry system. The platform is very user friendly and allows for entry of all deductions, additions and bonuses as well as tracking all changes to pay rate. It also has a robust reporting system. The best part about Paycor though, is their friendly customer service department. They take care of any questions and issues right away and always follow up to ensure their solution took care of the issue.

Overall: I switched to Paycor Perform from another payroll company about 3 years ago. The software I was using at the other company was so outdated. The sales person from Paycor was very helpful and ensured a seamless transition between the two. We have been using the software for three years and have seen upgrades continue to happen. It is an easy to use software and most things you can figure out just by tinkering around. If you can't, just call your Paycor support person. Paycor's customer support has been great.

Comments: With re: to the Cons comment. Our phone list report does not return accurate information. When I update PH#'s in Paycor, it produces numbers that have been deleted for a long time and it doesn't update other numbers, etc. Frustrating to say the least. I have been through numerous reps with this problem and upper management and no one there seems to care about actually fixing it for us. This is a critical report. I've been told there will be a fix in a future updates, when I have no idea, and it's not a priority.

Pros: It is fairly easy to use. Help is available if needed. I like that it's tied to Time on Demand..

Cons: For 3 years! STILL NO FIX for our phone list report problem. Management has not followed up. ..

Pros: Overall a good package with the separation of features by categories. Great to access from either phone or computer, especially since I am sometimes out of my office when needing to clock in/out.

Cons: The selection of increments of time on pay stub vs. leave request. Time entered in time card section is in 100ths (i.e. .50 for 30 min. of time) and time in leave request is in normal 24hr time (i.e. 0.30 for 30 min. of leave). Very confusing at first and I haven't seen a notification of any kind on site. Phone app is a bit harder to use as it doesn't conform in size for phone use very well. I am using a Galaxy Note5 if that may help IT if they review this.

Overall: The biggest is time card punching on phone so I don't have to go in to office, or try to remember exact time I need to punch from prior day.

Pros: It is user friendly. I am able to easily go into the program and make any needed changes rather easily. It is easy to navigate so I save time searching for what information that I need. The software features are very functional and when I do have questions, I am always able to reach a person to address them.

Cons: They are times I need to pull quarterly and yearly reports and need to call customer service to assist me with this process. I also don't like the fact that the software doesn't have the employee's W2's saved on it. I also want to limit employee's to be able to view certain parts of their payroll and that was not possible to set up. Some staff have had problems setting up their online accounts but customer service was able to assist them with it.

Overall: I am able to spend more time on my other projects. It literally takes me only five minutes to complete our payroll. I can also complete payroll in advance of me going on vacations and everyone receives their paycheck on time.

Doing payroll is really easy and fast! So convenient and everything is in one place.

Pros: I like that the time management is connected to the payroll system making it seamless. It is easy to use and streamlined. Reporting is quick and fast. Everything is customized to my particular needs. The HR management features are easy to use also and very convenient-keeps all my employee records organized and makes hiring and terminating easy. Overall: PROGRAM----I like the format of this program. It is easy to navigate and make changes for everything but the change of payroll date if it involves changing the payroll month. I feel the security features are adequate but I get frustrated with having to always get a temporary pass code to sign in. It offers many report features and I like being able to custom request a report. I recommend this payroll program.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT --- This is the best feature of doing business with Paycor. The customer assigned representative feature CANNOT be beat. This is by far the most responsive company for conducting business. EVERY staff member on the team is polite, efficient and helpful. Even when I call before my local office opens my calls are routed to the east coast and are handled in the same fashion. I like the personal relationship aspect of the company. I like being able to give feedback on my interactions with said representatives. I also like being able to vote for some tokens of appreciation for the employees.

Comments: Overall, Paycor has helped us automate many HR tasks. Information is only entered once and filters down to other systems. It's great not having to access paper records for bits of information. The information is at your fingertips.

Pros: Employee information is stored all in one place and multiple people can have access to the same information. Can access information away from the office. Open enrollment is now online and easy to monitor. No longer send out paystubs.

Cons: Setup process is quite extensive. Customer representative changes too often. Open enrollment assistance was lacking in our second year.

Overall: I have been a Paycor customer for over 7 years now. My experience with Paycor Perform has been that first of all they are continually improving and adding features to continue the functionality and ease of use for the user. I utilize the Time on Demand System, the Online Reporting, Reports and Analytics, The Payroll Processing System for 15+ Client ID's. I have found that anytime I experience an issue or have a question that I have received assistance in a timely manner. I am a 1 person HR /Payroll Dept. and Paycor Perform makes my job much easier and allows me to be more efficient.

Pros: Client has a lot of hands-on capabilities, nearly as good as an in-house system.

Cons: The written job aids are superficial and often not really helpful. Also, there are constant updates being made to the software and the support people aren't always up to date on them.

Overall: Paycor Perform is a modestly priced, wide ranging HR/Payroll software. It has excellent features, gives the client an almost endless range of flexibility and makes most chores relatively efficient to perform.

Recommendations to other buyers: The customer service and support is extraordinary. The specialists go out of their way to be accommodating and encouraging as well as instructive. I couldn't be happier with Paycor!

Cons: We could benefit from other features in time and attendance that are not available, like selecting a limited range of work groups an employee can access.

Overall: I've worked with ADP, Paychex and Paycor throughout my background in Payroll and Benefits and have found Paycor to offer the services of a big corporation while offering a small company feel relating to customer support. My dedicated rep knows our company and I don't need to go through a lot of detail when calling to address an issue. Great service, prompt work and follow up when anything needs addressed and a real feel of working hand-in-hand to meet our payroll requirements.

Comments: I tested this software as a substitute of Paychex. Paycor provides integrations with 401(k) providers that ensure employees¿ deductions are properly sent to the provider. It streamlines the process and allows employers the opportunity to choose the provider that will give the best plan to their employees. They also empower employees and managers to maintain their personal and team information from anywhere with an internet connection. Each team member will have a login that will allow them to make their own elections creating an easier, paperless, open enrollment process

Pros: Paycor¿s Applicant Tracking Solution allows its users to post jobs, review resumes and approve or deny hiring within one application. Workflows send notifications to recruiters, hiring managers, and even candidates. It paints a picture of where every candidate is within the hiring process. It also provides analytics to help get rid of bottlenecks within each hiring step.

Cons: Paycor does not help manage HIPAA Compliance, Recruitment, and State Unemployment Insurance as a part of their human resource database. They also have a limited benefits packages when compared to their competitors. They only cover 401k and Medical Insurance while leaving off other vital plan options like Dependent Audit, FSA, HRA, Life Insurance, Premium Only Plan, SIMPLE IRA¿ etc.

Overall: Changing payroll systems is not an easy task. We were with Paycor for several years before making a switch to another company in early 2014, thinking bigger was better. Huge mistake! At the end of year 2014 we begged to come back to Paycor and did so with overall success. Thanks to the professional and personable staff at Paycor, a monumental task was completed with only a few hiccups along the way. We continue to enjoy our working relationship with everyone at Paycor and look forward to progressing along with them. We use Paycor Perform for our Time and Attendance, Payroll, and HR functions.

Pros: It's so easy to change things and make sure that everything is stored within your system. The help desk is one of the best products! Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. I have never been disappointed.

Cons: Sometimes the reports aren't exactly what I need. For example, if I want to run a previous year termination and hire report for an audit, the system won't always allow the time frame that I need. You can usually work around it but occasionally there's a gap in your reporting needs and what they can pull out of the system.

Pros: ease of use. I like that you can do a one time change with deductions such as a health deduction on a specific payroll but the original deduction still stays in place.

Cons: The one thing I don't like is the changing of the password every 6 months, but I know that is a necessary evil.

Overall: We have approx. 350 employees and 3 different companies, we have switched all our payrolls from a different provider to Paycor for the ease of use and personal service that the company gives. The program is always in continuous improvement which is nice to see that the updates and feedback are being implemented.

Pros: Very quick response after sending in payroll...reports are available almost immediately.

Cons: Limited viewing area for reports...very annoying to not be able to view reports in actual size without scrolling.

Overall: We had a rocky start with Paycor due to many tax issues but this past year has been much better. I do not think the reports are as easy to use as some other systems I have worked with. It may be just that I am not using them to their full capability but I have a difficult time drilling down to the information that I need. One "complaint" that I would love to see resolved is the very limited viewing area for reports. It would be really helpful to be able to enlarge to actual size and not have to scroll to see all of the report.

Pros: I like most everything about this software.

Cons: You cannot copy a person from one company to another.

Overall: I have used a variety of payroll software and I find PayCor Perform to be at the top of the list.

They have a nice variety of can reports and will write you a custom report if needed.

I very rarely have to call or email customer service on issue or problems as the software is very easy to understand and use. There is many add on features which we do not use as we are a small company but they have a very extensive package available to someone who wants to take care of all HR needs in one place. I actually use this software to pay two separate companies and it allows me to use one log on to access both so I do not have to switch between companies. I can even run a reports using both companies data if I chose. I need to do this for some reporting as one is a control company of the other. The also offer free webinars quite often that are very helpful. I recommend this accounting software to anyone wanting to change to an easy to use solution for payroll.

Pros: Very user friendly, easy to navigate, and everything is there in one place. We used to have to go to multiple websites or local documents if we wanted to clock in/out, view PTO, view benefits, employer resources, etc. Now we have all of that in one place which makes it very easy to view all things HR.

Cons: This is near perfect. I think the mobile app can be improved upon a bit more. I rarely use it because it's kind of clunky. Other than that, very little to complain about with this software.

Overall: This took a number of different HR resources that were spread out among multiple sites and local docs and reduced it down to one single location so users don't have to search around to find basic HR needs.

Cons: It's inconsistent. Occasionally (and more than once) something that has always worked just stops working.

Overall: It has lots of great features -- many more than I need. For the price, I think it has a high level of functionality. The self-help consists of almost all video tutorials, for which I don't have a lot of patience. I wish there was an online, written manual that I could quickly search for an answer to a "how do I . . . " question. More than once an update to the software has introduced a new feature, but caused a glitch in a former feature. Or, the update doesn't necessarily improve the experience, but simply changes the interface, causing an unnecessary re-adjustment.

Pros: Paycor's Reports & Analytics offers plenty of standard templates and the flexibility to create custom templates, which allows for robust reporting. Also, Paycor's customer support team is generally very responsive and knowledgeable.

Cons: Paycor's Payroll and HR databases are separate, and sometimes information entered in one database does not flow smoothly to the other (i.e. leave status, pay groups, pay changes). Workflows are only generated when you initiate changes using certain tabs (not all tabs initiate workflows) and often more than one workflow needs to be generated if you're making numerous changes (i.e. department, manager, salary, and title).

Cons: Honestly, it is not the friendliest software. It is difficult for the owner to use and we have to call for help quite often. One very annoying thing is that we have to put the holidays in every year all over again. It should stay in year to year. Figuring out how to find things that we need like the 941 forms is not easy either. There are a few other things that can be confusing as well.

For example on "assign performance reviews" list you get every employee ever on payroll, not just current employees. I don't need to evaluate someone who is terminated so it would be nice if there name was left off.

Pros: If there is a problem customer support is available for help. They payroll processing is quick and accurate.

Cons: We have several of their modules. There is a different contact for each - Payroll, Time, HR, ACA, Open Enrollment. And within each of these there is turnover so you may have several different contacts in an area in a year. It is hard to keep track of "who's on first."

Pros: The great variety of functionality. I can usually find exactly what I am looking for and if not I can always pick up the phone and talk to my client representative who can get me the information I need.

Cons: I do find that the reporting out of the Time and Attendance module is clunky and hard to extract at times.

Overall: I enjoy having a dedicated specialist to help when issues arise vs. going to a call center. I understand Paycor is a relatively new company and is still working to develop certain functionality. I have already seen great enhancements in the 10 months of being with Paycor. One area where I see improvement needed is the reporting function. There are not some standard reports, such as turnover reports available, and it is hard to pull historical reports. Every time I try, it pulls data that I know is not accurate.

We just implemented the Benefits module yesterday. One thing that would be nice is if you could set up one enrollment event for all new hires. The current functionality requires you to set up a new enrollment event for each new month and does not automatically pick up when someone is eligible based off of their hire date.

Pros: Adding employees and entering payroll are both super simple. The paygrid has customizable columns and even column sizes, you can easily switch between manual checks and direct deposit (if that appeals to you), and it's just as easy to let the computer know not to pay someone if they have an unscheduled week off or you forget to terminate someone before starting payroll.

Cons: Adding tax codes is not nearly as intuitive as I could hope for, and is actually quite cumbersome if you are adding new ones on a semi regular basis. Also, customer service is abysmal. There are no dedicated reps, and you are likely to get a faster response via email than over the phone because of hold times. Thankfully the product is fairly bulletproof and contacting them for help is only a rare form of torture.

Cons: Not being able to turn off all city taxes for certain checks. Also would like to see a "changes only" report from the grid level.

Overall: The ease of inputting information with the new Paycor Perform is much better than previous versions. It helps us when putting in additional payruns for Perfect Attendance, Bonuses, etc. to be able to block direct deposits or turn off taxes, for that information to be easily accessible, no matter who is using the system.

Recommendations to other buyers: Keep making improvements for additional grid change reporting.

The customer services is great, all the staff are subject matter experts.

Pros: The software can be accessed from any internet connected computer and the customer service department always returns my e-mails.

Cons: Create Reports and Analytics can be challenging to set up specific reports but customer service can help with reporting. Customer service helped assist me in setting up the first report and then I was able to run other reports. The resources tab is helpful with reports and analytics step by step process too.

Pros: 1. From the employees perspective, it is easy to use.

2. They are making big improvements to the app for smartphones and tablets.

3. It's very easy to approve time cards.

Cons: 1. Their customer service is lacking because they have grown to fast and their CSR's are not very knowledgeable.

2. It's very hard to make changes to their processes without putting the burden back on the client to do.

3. Sales team overpromised its capabilities even after asking them direct questions on items that their platform just do not do.

Overall: The overall product is OK. Don't expect all of the bells and whistles because it is just not there regardless of what the salesperson says. If you are going to just use it to run payroll then it would be OK. Their applicant tracking system (Newton) is one of the best that I have worked with.

Pros: Easy to use, very intuitive, reasonably priced

Cons: Vacation/Sick Time Tracking not as simplistic

Overall: I have been using Paycor's payroll software for more than 5 years and all the improvements made over the years have simplified the process drastically. The input process is simple and intuitive, it is easy to make changes, and even a non-accounting/HR member of your staff could easily run payroll without much guidance.

The only difficulty I have ever had is that setting up vacation and sick-time tracking is a little more difficult than I would prefer for it to be, and is usually easier to let your payroll specialist handle it for you. If you have a complex vacation structure, it can get cumbersome.

Reporting is fairly simplistic with good detailed, custom reports available at your own request. I would prefer more standard, stock reports available, but you can always create them yourself.

Overall - great software, good price, will stick with Paycor for a long time I would have to imagine.

Pros: Flexibility to maneuver from employee profiles to pay grid.

Cons: Submitting payroll seems a little to easy to process. I would like a password or extra toggle in place to avoid this from happening.

Overall: It took a little time to get used to the new software. I like the flexibility of flipping from profiles to payroll grids. My support person is fantastic. As a matter of fact, everyone that I have dealt with at Paycor has been extremely helpful. I really appreciate Paycor training their support staff so meticulously. With this type of support staff, this client feels confident in achieving top results with any issue that may arise.

Recommendations to other buyers: Just the fact that I appreciate the support group who knows this software inside and out.

Pros: Perform is easy to use for basic payroll functions

Cons: My biggest complaint comes from trying to connect Perform to other Paycor products and the lack of a support person who can help with both Perform and HR at the same time.

Overall: Our rollout of Perform went well. Past experience with a previous employer certainly came in handy. I found the support I received a little lacking as we tried to expand our usage of Perform to benefit accruals and connecting to time off module on the HR side. The connection is difficult and it is almost always difficult for us to determine what side (Perform or HR) to contact for support. It would be great if I had one dedicated specialist to assist with both products. At this point we are almost afraid to roll out other modules. I find my best bet for timely Perform assistance is to simply wait on line while I am transferred to the next available specialist.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make the time off module easier to use in conjunction with Perform.

Pros: I love that Paycor can be accessed from multiple computers, whether at work or at home. Additionally, being able to access previous timecards, paystubs, and W2s online is so much more convenient than keeping track of non-digital paperwork! Also, it is great that Paycor keeps track of benefits for users--available sick time, vacation time, and it lists holidays and other company changes.

Cons: Sometimes Paycor doesn't work seamlessly on all browser types. Occasionally, it will not fully load in pages when I am using google chrome. Additionally, an app would be a really useful addition to Paycor. Being able to access all of this information on a phone app as opposed to on a phone browser would be very helpful.

Overall: I used Paycor to enter my hours worked, and to keep track of available sick time. It is highly beneficial to be able to see all of my hours and timecards in one place, and to be able to access previous paystubs. Additionally, getting my tax forms online is highly convenient!

Pros: Easy to use, robust, fully integrated payroll, HR and On Boarding, excellent client support staff

Cons: ACA seemed a little complicated but does what it needs to do

Overall: We've been on Paycor for five years now & have been very satisfied with the ease-of-use, customer support, the ACA module, everything. We recently added the On Boarding module for processing New Hires, the HR module and the Carrier Connect module. All of these are fully integrated with the payroll process and makes for a very complete payroll solution.

Pros: Reports are user friendly. Easy to build your own. Pay grids are easy to read and understand, are able to arrange columns to flow to your needs. Can transfer employee data from one company to another.

Cons: Some of the fields need to be able to be adjustable when it comes to adjusting "defaults". Need more room for writing notes.

Overall: Saves a lot of time when it comes to entering and tracking payroll. Tracking employee history is a breeze.

Comments: It would be nice to page down employee to employee to view time punches to verify times

Pros: Takes the tax handling out of my worries. Easy to see hours worked and overtime approaching. Very accurate

Cons: The time dashboard is not quite efficient. Every week there are time punch mistakes. When I go to edit a time punch, getting back to the main page with all of the listings is a bit of a pain. You have to start the whole process from stage 1.

Cons: some of the quirks in Time and Management

Overall: The reports and customer service are outstanding at Paycor! A previous experience with a competitor left a bad taste in my mouth. Paycor became our provider 3 years ago and have taken great care of us. We are a small Dayton Ohio company with 30 employees, and our Perform and Time & Management platform work well with our company. I recommend Paycor above the other payroll providers.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you struggle, contact your rep...they are more than happy to assist you.

Cons: More complex functions simply don't work properly and it seems when something like that happens, nobody has a sense of urgency to solve the issue.

Overall: Some consultants are great, smart and quick in responses and solutions. But the huge majority I think never worked in HR before because it takes 3 hours for them to get a simple concept. Also, the system is very user friendly but lacks proper function since it always has some kind of defect going on. The integration between Time, HR and Payroll system should be better too.

Recommendations to other buyers: Fix your IT issues! The program should work seamlessly but it always gives, at least me, a huge headache. Or maybe only focus on clients with simple operations.

We switched from ADP to Paycor and have never looked back.

Pros: It's user friendly. Everything is organized and easy to find. Anytime I have an issue, I email someone directly, they return my email within 15 mins. I've not had to call in over the phone but maybe once in 3 years. It's very easy to explain to our employees how to use as well.

Cons: I don't like that users must register to have access to all of their information.

Overall: Great customer service. Great resources for help.

Pros: Helps us track of our hourly workforce. Managers have a better understanding of the FTE needs. Having a digital record of our hourly workforce is one of the biggest benefits.

Cons: The increase in our fees were a little greater than expected. We were a little unprepared for the push back that it created in our current payroll culture. Not all hourly employees appreciated the addition of the time clock.

In general, it allows you to get the job done. Not amazing, not awful either.

Pros: It provides a broad spectrum of use for us, including HR and payroll issues.

Cons: I find the report writing section to be somewhat confusing and difficult for me to use.

Overall: We are always able to complete processes, but sometimes have trouble reaching a representative. We understand that Paycor is experiencing growth at this time, and feel that this is the reason for these issues. We are confident that the staffing will catch up with the need soon, and we feel this situation will work itself out.

Pros: I like that we have a dedicated service representative that always seems to be available and responsive to our questions and requests.

Cons: The implementation and sales team do not communicate effectively with each other. Our initial needs were not communicated properly to the implementation team so our database suffered with either a shared data base for certain products and multiple logins for others.

Pros: The ability to have all pay types contained on one spreadsheet-like screen without having to flip back and forth between multiple screens.

Cons: We have had a few hurdles with our vacation and personal time balances, but the team has been very helpful in trying to overcome these.

Overall: We have been happy with the software from implementation through full functionality. The Paycor team has been there every step of the way to meet or exceed our expectations. Coming from a different payroll software that is not very user friendly, we are very happy with this product.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you're considering a payroll provider change, this is definitely a product worth considering.

Pros: Paycor consistently updates to the product. The changes are driven by customer input on the functionality most beneficial to them.

Cons: There isn't any one item I would identify as disliking. The area I experience difficulty in would be setting up new reports in Reports & Analytics.

Overall: We have much better tracking for vacation and sick PTO than our previous product. The support team is far superior than our previous product support team.

Comments: My experience with the product has been good on and off. I do enjoy some features provided, but also wish more features were more developed.

Cons: I don't like how employees can not request time off without the use of PTO, even in the time keeping attendance. The performance entity is horrible. No customization capabilities, no budget settings and it has to be the same for every department across the board. HR and payroll do not do a great job talking with each other. I would also like to see more customization on the on-boarding or being able to post forms that are convertible into fillable forms.

Pros: The software is fairly easy to maneuver through. I am able to access reports easily that I need. I also can track vacation, personal and sick time through their software. The time I save processing payroll through Paycor is well worth the processing fee that I pay. It is less expensive to se paycor than to pay a person to process payroll and track paid time off.

Cons: The one think I liked least about Paycor is that sometimes when I have to change a wage to an employee it takes several steps to do. I did not do it correctly and I underpaid an employee.

Overall: I have found that using Paycor saves time and money by not tying up an office person to process payroll. When I call Paycor, they are always responsive and will walk me through my problem. I highly recommend Paycor!

Overall: 95% of the Paycor system is great. There are a couple things that are probably being worked on. Payroll, HR and Time should be one system...and when I search the name in payroll, I should be able to hit the enter button after I type the name...just like it does for HR and Time. This is not a "I'm going to look for a new system" but it does get annoying and wastes time when you are working with almost 1000 employees. Thanks again.

Comments: Overall the experience has been very frustrating. We had communicated to the person that sold us on Paycor, what we currently had and that the only reason we were looking for something different was because of cost. Although, Paycor was cheaper, the quality of the experience over all has been poor.The first person we dealt with messed things up on setting up the accounts with us. Our personal representative kept changing and it seemed that there was inconsistency with each new person on how much they knew and how well they could or would assist us. Then we brought on a new company and added it to the system and the rep at that time messed up the set ups with us as well and our deductions and how the employees where paid. Our current rep on the accounts has been helpful and has tried to help with the mistakes that were made by previous staff members at Paycor or by myself because of lack of understanding and training. She is very informative and helpful. I would say that areas that need improvement Customer service, better assistance with training when on boarding a new client- this may have improved since we started or just may have been lacking with the representative that we started with, when given a garnishment waiver make certain that the staff member knows how to set it up or trains the company that is using your services to set it up correctly and what will happen if it isn't and team member retention- we have had a number of specialists working on the account and there were only 2 of them that were knowledgeable and helpful the rest all created problems and issues for us.

Comments: I have used Paycor for year with multiple organizations. Implementations always have some hiccups, but I've seen the product of Paycor change for the better rapidly.

Pros: - Easy to use - Friendly Paycor staff - PHR and SHRM-CP credit webinars available - Only one system needed for all HMIS needs

Cons: - Some technical issues, but support is always taking requests and offering updates and job aids are available for help. -

The program is one of the best I have used.

Pros: The dashboard is easy to navigate. The commands and choices are user friendly. It clearly recognizes and alerts you if an error occurs. The Paycor program offers excellent reporting, management and record keeping tools. I see no need for a dedicated representative.

Cons: The cost could be better. Also my dedicated representative is never available and does not return phone calls or emails. Fortunately, they offer the option to speak to another team member who in my experience has always been professional and knowledgeable.

Pros: Paycor is very user friendly. The support staff is very helpful and easy to work with if you have issues you can't resolve on your own.

Cons: I would like to see the open/download buttons at the top of the page either in addition or versus at the bottom. Most reports I want the most current data. Having the open/download buttons on top would save scrolling down to the bottom.

Pros: easy to use

Cons: the system assumes ALL changes are related to each other. Dates of transfers, department changes, location changes, manager changes all feed a new date into the payroll side of a "rate" change

Overall: It has great potential BUT the feed into the payroll side sucks. There are things that should fed the other way from payroll to HR however the feed is set up as 1 way the wrong way. There needs to be more effective date for changes, everything is not black and white on dates. When a labor allocation, position change, department change is made and it feeds a new rate change date into payroll when it is TOTALLY unrelated to a persons pay.
