Pros

  • Our company uses Paycor not just for paystubs, but also for company recognition-- which is nice to have a formalized platform to document positive feedback.

  • I like that the implementation was super smooth and easy. It's never easy to switch providers, however, our implementation team was amazing.

  • I can select the modules that best suit my needs. Their method of execution is comprehensive, their follow-up is reliable, and their staff is always pleasant and helpful.

  • We are currently switching from Nimble(their old version) to Ximble. This system is super user friendly and on the off chance that I can't find something, the Support Staff is top notch.

Cons

  • Registration questions and interface are confusing and sometime not applicable. The system tries to pay them as employees and tax them the same way, etc.

  • Sales promised the World. Timecard approvals are meaningless because it does not prevent the timecard from being changed afterward.

  • From the start, our experience with PayCor has been horrible. False claims during sales.

  • Paycor is difficult to change/cancel/adjust time off. I struggle with the time off section and often have to just delete the PTO submitted and resubmit when there is an error.

"Paycor works hard for your company "

Overall: I, personally think it’s great in my daily use of it but there are some frustrations with some of its functionality

Pros: You can tell Paycor takes your business seriously and works very hard to give what you need toy get your job done efficiently

Cons: The reporting platform is confusing and not easy to use at all. It’s disappointing. Also we have A LOT of issues with our employees using the app. They are constantly frustrated with it which makes our job so much harder.

Alternatives Considered: UKG Ready and ADP Workforce Now
Reasons for Choosing Paycor: The layout, the personalized service though that went away eventually
Reasons for Switching to Paycor: Bamboo did not offer payroll so we had to find a platform with both an HRIS and payroll solution

"Ease of Use"

Overall: Implementation was very rough and we are still fixing things almost 2 years later. The program itself is great.

Pros: Ease of use for Payroll. Able to figure out payroll without verymuch effort.

Cons: Not having a dedicated representative for our account.

Alternatives Considered: Paycom, UKG Pro and Paylocity
Reasons for Choosing Paycor: NFP suggested that we use paycor with
Switched From: Ninja Gig
Reasons for Switching to Paycor: Grew to big for a PEO and needed more options for benefits.

"Paycor - no accountabillity"

Overall: Horrible - lack of ownership. Refusal to research data issues. Outright lies about functionality of product vs actual usage.

Pros: We truly liked our salesperson, but even they have left Paycor now.

Cons: No audit trail, no dedicated support, refusal to allow access to all support teams when we had questions, lack of connectivity in their own products

Alternatives Considered: Paycom, UKG Pro, ADP Next Gen HCM and Paylocity
Reasons for Choosing Paycor: Our salesperson oversold on the product and we thought it was the best fit
Switched From: ADP Workforce Now
Reasons for Switching to Paycor: Leaving a PEO to host our own benefits, 401k, onboarding and HRIS

"Paycor makes payroll easy!"

Overall: Great! Easy set up and help when needed, I love the new chat feature that makes getting help easy while continuing other work!

Pros: The designated setup team makes implementation so easy. Each department is included and thorough. The reports being able to be customizable is a great help.

Cons: During payroll weeks the time cards are slow to load we always have to do refreshes or shut the browser down and reopen

Alternatives Considered: ADP Workforce Now
Reasons for Choosing Paycor: Already a client with our other FEINS, cheap implementation
Switched From: Paychex Flex
Reasons for Switching to Paycor: More controller, better customer service more services.
