### "Solid HR and payroll platform with a few rough spots"

May 29, 2026

4.0

On the whole, Paycor has worked very well in terms of payroll management in our company. It does all the things you expect it to do, and it has made the process much easier. Of course, there is the odd issue now and then, such as when customer service isn’t up to scratch, or the reporting is less than intuitive, but there have been no real issues to cause us to consider switching platforms.

Pros

chrome icon google docs icon Paycor has simplified a lot of the payroll and HR admin work that used to eat up a ton of time. Running payroll is straightforward and employee records are easy to keep up with in one place. The self-service portal for staff has been a nice addition too, people can check their pay stubs, request time off, and update their info without having to go through HR for everything. For an organization with a lot of employees it really does take a decent chunk of the manual work off the table

Cons

Customer support can be hit or miss. Sometimes you get someone helpful right away, other times you're sitting on hold or waiting on a callback for something that feels pretty urgent. The reporting tools are functional but building custom reports isn't the most intuitive process and it often takes more trial and error than it should. There have also been a handful of instances where system updates quietly changed something that then needed troubleshooting on our end to figure out.

### "Ease of Use and Integration thatbworks"

June 19, 2026

4.0

Our staff seem to be happy with the time card system much more easy than we've had in the past and also they enjoy having an app and the ease of use. We also are pleased with Integrations with both our benefits and retirement plan.

Pros

The basic HR software is pretty easy to use and our payroll seems to be satisfied with the functions being able to do individual pay when needed for example for a reimbursement.

Cons

The applicant tracking system can be improved there are too many extra steps in the workflow approval process. They performance review system should be more customizable.

### "Paycor Has Good Features"

August 17, 2026

4.0

Paycor is a useful tool for payroll services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and general employee payroll functionality.

Pros

Paycor has features that other competitors like Paycom, PayPal and Rippling does not have built into their tool.

Cons

Paycor does not have some of the useful features that comes with invoice reporting and automatic template completion such a Rippling.

### "Paycor - Fine, could be better"

June 22, 2026

3.0

Overall it has been a fine experience. I think there are challenges and frustrations with most HRIS platforms, so it can be a give and take. Price, value, customer service, modules, payroll - everything plays a part.

Pros

Custom reporting is helpful to build reports and pull analytics needed. I like that the system is all in one - Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, Compensation, Payroll, Performance Management, Benefit Advisor, LMS, etc.

Cons

The system is not very user friendly and could be improved from a technology standpoint. Implementation was also a negative experience. Once everything was fully implemented, it got better - but be prepared for them to sell you on a quality experience and then completely drop the ball on implementation.

### "Paycor is a great mid range service"

June 21, 2026

4.0

We are used to them. They are much better than paycom, but their implementation was terrible. Sometimes we have issues linking ourside systems that we were guaranteed would work, but the system itself is good for the price.

Pros

I appreciate customer support. It is fairly easy to reach someone on the phone but most importantly, getting customer service through the "help support" chat option is lightning fast and they help right away. Employees seem to like the ease of use with the leave management system and their own personal managegment portal. Payroll is fairly easy to run with paycor and there is plenty of support if you have questions.

Cons

The implementation process was the worst I have ever encountered. We still have things that don't work, but... the parts that work, work.

Overall, Paycor has helped us streamline our HR processes and better support our employees. We can relay on its accuracy in processing payroll to ensure proper payment to our employees.

Pros

Cons

Pros

Ease of use and employee management. The app is easy for employees to use and time keeping and tracking is a lot of great ability.

Cons

### "Affordable, but Falling Behind"

July 11, 2025

3.0

Overall, our experience with Paycor has been mixed. While it meets basic HR needs at a lower price point, it lacks the strategic tools, reporting depth, and innovation necessary to support a growing or forward-thinking organization.

Pros

Paycor offers a fairly affordable HRIS option for small to mid-sized companies. You get a decent amount of features for the cost, including payroll, onboarding, and basic analytics, making it a budget-friendly system.

Cons

The platform lacks innovation and feels outdated compared to competitors. Support response times can be inconsistent, and product updates often lag behind industry standards. You often get the sense they are playing catch-up.

### "Paycor for the win!"

April 16, 2026

4.0

I’ve had a great experience with Paycor. The platform is highly intuitive, and I particularly value the seamless onboarding process and the added financial flexibility provided by early direct deposits.

Pros

Seamless Transitions: When an HR admin marks a candidate as "hired" in the Recruiting module, their data flows instantly into Payroll and Onboarding. Users like that they don't have to enter the same data three different times. Centralized Tax Forms: Employees find it very helpful to have all their electronic tax forms (W-2s, 1095-Cs) in the same place they check their weekly pay

Cons

Recent shifts toward AI-driven support have frustrated some users who feel they can no longer reach a knowledgeable human representative for complex problems.

### "It's a no from me"

November 12, 2025

2.0

Poor. There was some things that were an improvement from our prior provider, so it wasn't all bad. But overall, I would never go back and definitely do not recommend them to anyone.

Pros

It helped us consolidate a bit. Less systems like removing or ACA tracking system, Nimble. Their service team was also responsive, usually within the 1 hour for email replies.

Cons

Almost everything. The support team responded quickly, but was frequently incompetent or needed the support of other departments, which were much slower, to get answers. The implementation was the worst I have every experienced and we still believe the set up they went with caused many issues for us. They also made SO many tax errors so their tax team is incompetent.

### "Customer Support Frustration"

December 5, 2025

3.0

My experience with Paycor since becoming a consumer at the beginning of 2025 has not been very pleasant. Client support has not been very helpful, most my open cases have to be escalated to the next support level. It usually takes at least a week to resolve an issue. Sometime the issue is no resolvable.

Pros

The self service features and the workflow. It put the responsibility on the employee and HR doesn’t have to contact the employee for missing information.

Cons

The time clocks and customer support. Issue is hardly resolved the same day. I usually have to send pictures and video of my issues

December 14, 2025

4.0

I’m still learning the system- but over all I’m neutral on Paycor as a whole. From time keeping to labor reporting - from recruitment to onboarding - it would be nice to have very clear procedures from Paycor to follow

Pros

Employee management from start to finish. Seeing the lifecycle of a person from candidate to employee.

Cons

Lack of clarity on how to optimize the system. Training tools are not super helpful and report generation is a slough. A definition / glossary module would be nice.

Horrible. Worst HRIS or ATS I've ever used. Buggy, nothing works like it's supposed to. Also, fairly outdated, I used it 5 years ago and it was a much better tool then.

Pros

I cannot think of a single good thing about Paycor. I cannot think of a single good thing about Paycor.

Cons

The worst customer service of any software I've ever used. I really can't stress how bad it is. From call centers where people can't hear you and you can't hear them, to a sales rep named \[sensitive content hidden\] who refused to return calls and emails, basic issues takes weeks to resolve.

Pros

System overall works fine but if we do run into an issue, customer service us not easy to work with and has limited knowledge of their own product.

Pros

I would say the pros of Paycor include the value for money and also the ease of use. Compared to other systems, cost was reasonable for product provided.

Cons

Generally Paycor works for the needs that we have for our mid sized business. I have seen some improvements since Paychex has gotten involved.

Pros

### "Not the worst I've used, but certainly not the best."

January 13, 2026

As the kids say these days... my experience using Paycor at my company was quite "mid". Not the worst I've used, but certainly not the best. I know others in my organization had an even worse time with it. Internally, is was typically referred to as "Paincor".

Pros

As far as HR softwares go, it technically accomplishes most of what it sets out to do. It has an app where you can view your pay stubs and pay history and sign documents.

Cons

"Finicky" would be the word that comes to mind when I think about the couple of years my company used Paycor. Again, it mostly got the job done on the main things, but I remember the login experience being especially awful. If you backgrounded the app for more than a few seconds, your session would expire and you'd have to re-authenticate. Very frustrating when you're trying to quickly swap between another app like the calculator to figure up something. The login relentlessly needed the full 2-factor authentication as well, even if you selected "Remember this device".
