### "Worst Payroll System Ever! "

January 20, 2026

1.0

We went with three years ago after trying to decide between a few others. It was the cheapest so we went with them. BIG mistake. Not only do they have a TON of misc fees, but their fees keep increasing! Their reporting functions frequently bring back back information and I get no help when trying to get Paycor to fix the issues I find. Employees consistently have issue logging in and the 450 or some people who now use Paycor in our company, not one of them have said a positive thing about Paycor but we have had plenty of complaints. I would not choose Paycor if given the option again.

Pros

It is hard to say, I have been on several other Payroll programs and this is by far the worst. I guess despite the customer service reps being in India and having a hard time understanding me, they are always friendly.

Cons

Customer service is awful. I need to request help on a weekly basis and wait weeks to get a response sometimes and other times, I get tired of trying to re-explain my issue, so I give up

### "A User-Friendly HR and Payroll Solution"

May 12, 2026

5.0

My overall experience had been wonderful. I like how the platform is always updating and sharing the information via webinars.

Pros

is a reliable HR and payroll platform that simplifies workforce management for businesses of all sizes. The software is user-friendly and offers a wide range of features, including payroll processing, time tracking, benefits administration, and recruiting tools. One of Paycor’s biggest strengths is its intuitive dashboard, which makes it easy for managers and employees to access important information quickly.

Cons

I do not like to the process for submitting cases, when the team respond via SalesForce I never receive the communication.

Over it has been a good experience, provides the majority of our needs. There are updates that seem half baked and take a bit more time before it truly works for our teams.

Pros

The ease of onboarding from Recruiting and transferring data from the candidates application as well as processing offer letters through DocuSign.

Cons

The number of clicks it takes to complete a simple task and the random changes in the names of different drop downs. It becomes confusing and a learning curve each time

After working with for the past four years, I truly love the system and know it like the back of my hand. I often praise the platform and credit it as a key contributor to my success in my role.

Pros

I always say you’re only as good as your tools, and I see as one of the key tools that allows me to perform my role effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Cons

If I had to note a drawback, it would be that we are currently on a legacy version of the system. I would love the opportunity to upgrade, though I understand this is a company-level decision and not a limitation of the platform itself.

### "Paycor Applicant Tracking, Payroll, and Scheduling"

November 19, 2025

4.0

Decent overall experience. There are areas of improvements to be had, but overall they are better than our legacy vendor Paycors

Pros

Great user UX, Simple to use from a user perspective once a system is setup, Robust approvals and control systems. We use it for recruitment, onboarding, timekeeping, and payroll.

Cons

Onboarding was rough. Their team is stretched thin. Their support is inadequately trained. They provide inaccurate information, or don't know and you often times need to be escalated to level 2 support.

### "Works for our needs"

February 26, 2026

4.0

Generally works for the needs that we have for our mid sized business. I have seen some improvements since Paychex has gotten involved.

Pros

Payroll is easy and user friendly. Employee management is very easy and our employees also find it easy to navigate.

Cons

Would like dedicated Account Managers for support. General support isnt always beneficial and find that resonse times are extremely lengthy and goes to multiple departments to solve problems.

### "Not Happy with Paycor"

October 29, 2025

3.0

Our benefit implementation was set up wrong and the user interface was having issues constantly. Our taxes weren't paid on time and this caused late fees and other issues with the different states we are located in. The managers always had trouble logging in as themselves and then as leaders.

Pros

The only thing I liked about was the employee management side of things. It was easy to use for the employees.

Cons

For the money we were paying the customer service was not high quality, there were constant issues within the system causing me more stress than I care to admit.

### "No recomendable"

November 27, 2025

3.0

### "Paycor review- customer workshop"

October 16, 2025

5.0

So far it's been good. sometimes it's tough having different departments in customer service we have to go to. for example, recruiting vs HR.

Pros

I like the different products offers. For example, we didn't have a recruiting platform in the past, and Paycor's recruiting has been very helpful.

Cons

The different departments when trying to contact customer service. it's frustating when being sent to knowledge based articles instead of getting someone to hop on a call or video chat and address the problem directly.

Overall it was great and continues to be a great move for my agency. My employees love having everything in one place including electronic tax forms.

Pros

The ease of setting up the program for my agency and the customer service. I like all of the trainings that they offer users and the payroll tax management piece as well.

Cons

Working through how our systems GL and the system talk to each other. We ultimately decided to just do our uploads manually because of how hard it was to get things corrected in the end.

### "Great first HRIS"

July 8, 2025

4.0

It has generally been a positive experience with . Our Sales Rep was the driving factor for Paycor over other HRIS options as he was upfront about the negative feedback they had received and was able to tell us organization-level changes that were being made to solve the issues.

Pros

is our first HRIS, so the process has been a lot to work through. We use it every day for things like onboarding, but there are a lot of attachments with Paycor that make it nearly a one-stop shop, which is great. I have found some of their resource tools excellent for solving quick, simple problems. For basic HCM, it is fairly easy to use as well. They are always adjusting their features and seem to be interested in always creating a better user experience. Their recruiting module has been great and customizable for our needs. Our sales representative was very hands on and available during implementation, which did not go smoothly, but he provided as much support as possible. Onboarding and workforce management was a massive issue for our company as we did not have an HRIS beforehand. Both pieces have made it much easier to have a set onboarding process with the hiring managers involved at the right stages and with all the right documentation. It has been wonderful.

Cons

's customer support team is not great. I find myself in situations where I know as much as, or more than, their support advocates. This makes it challenging when I am working through a very complex problem and cannot find someone who can assist. A smaller issue is that the different pieces of Paycor can be choppy when switching from Recruiting to HCM to Paths, as they are all clearly items that have been bolted on post-creation. They all function well, but they are visibly different systems, which means there is no continuity across them.

### "Solid platform with support issues"

June 30, 2025

4.0

We’ve been with about 7 years. Support has been on the decline—they no longer assign a CSM. They are a big company and the software offerings anre always improving as they scoop up other companies. Specialized support during implementation of different modules is generally good, but they charge a premium.

Pros

They have a module for anything you’d need to do in one unified system and integrates with most anything else (e.g. Employee Navigator, background checks, e-verify, etc).

Cons

Support is abysmal. And I wish it had a better method for integrating with Azure/office 365 directories.

### "It's a no from me"

November 12, 2025

2.0

Poor. There was some things that were an improvement from our prior provider, so it wasn't all bad. But overall, I would never go back and definitely do not recommend them to anyone.

Pros

It helped us consolidate a bit. Less systems like removing or ACA tracking system, Nimble. Their service team was also responsive, usually within the 1 hour for email replies.

Cons

Almost everything. The support team responded quickly, but was frequently incompetent or needed the support of other departments, which were much slower, to get answers. The implementation was the worst I have every experienced and we still believe the set up they went with caused many issues for us. They also made SO many tax errors so their tax team is incompetent.

### "Paycor for churches"

June 27, 2025

4.0

We have enjoyed over other products we've used. It has been a good partner for us. They have a solid understanding of our unique needs. Paycor has partnered with other software providers to expand the services they offer and at times the connection between how those products work together has been a challenge.

Pros

Strong customer support, better understanding than others we've used of the unique regulations that impact pastoral taxes, ease of doing additional payrolls or adding special tasks to a particular payroll, strong on demand training.

Cons

When an employee needs to log in to do a review or sign off on a document it can feel more clunky for those who don't regularly need to log in. Our state requires that employees give us start and end times when logging hours. allows them to simply enter the number of hrs worked (without start and end times) on their app which means corrections before payroll. When employees request PTO they often request the wrong type not noticing the drop down Paycor provides for types of PTO.

### "Paycor for the win!"

April 16, 2026

4.0

I’ve had a great experience with . The platform is highly intuitive, and I particularly value the seamless onboarding process and the added financial flexibility provided by early direct deposits.

Pros

Seamless Transitions: When an HR admin marks a candidate as "hired" in the Recruiting module, their data flows instantly into Payroll and Onboarding. Users like that they don't have to enter the same data three different times. Centralized Tax Forms: Employees find it very helpful to have all their electronic tax forms (W-2s, 1095-Cs) in the same place they check their weekly pay

Cons

Recent shifts toward AI-driven support have frustrated some users who feel they can no longer reach a knowledgeable human representative for complex problems.

### "Paycor, change isn't always great. "

June 4, 2025

2.0

did streamline our Payroll and HR which made it easy to provide employees and administrators with what they needed to access. There was a learning curve with the platform, but it was easier to learn than some of the more complex systems out there. Payroll was reliable and assuming it's not too complex, I'm confident that Paycor can handle most situations. Once they went public/were acquired by a large competitor, the support and system went downhill and we ultimately left.

Pros

Pre Paychex acquistion, was reliable and cheaper than most alternative solutions for Payroll for small businesses. One thing that was superior was their chat customer service, where others had previously required email or phone support. Chat was quick and responsive.

Cons

Their software and platform feels old and outdated compared to others that we became aware of. It didn't reliably load and we'd occasionally have to refresh to access the platform. They never made a mistake from our payroll processing, but from a functionality standpoint, we'd have to go back and verify payrolls early on to double check.

is a decent HRIS system, but has a lot of flaws that you have to deal with. I have been using it for 2 years, and if I could go back and choose a different system, I would. In fact, we are already looking at replacing Paycor in a year or two.

Pros

What I like about the most is the payroll processing piece. The grid is easy to work in, and the pre-post payroll reports are excellent.

Cons

The customer service is terrible. You have 3 options for support; call in, create a ticket, or chat online. All three are terrible. The reps usually don't understand the issue and just want to close the ticket as quickly as possible. If they send you a follow-up question, you have less than 24 hours to respond before they close the ticket with no resolution.
