Pros The HR software from Paycor is incredibly simple to use and navigate. We really enjoyed the software's feature that lets users edit their home page. This enables each user to customize their experience and prioritize the tools that are most important to their roles. Cons Compared to rival software options, the implementation process is complex.The cost of the memberships is more than that of a number of rivals.Many essential functions are only included in more expensive services or as add-ons. There are a couple quirks, but in general pretty good value for the cost. Most of the functionality works as expected, some is different than explained or initially showed with implementation. Cons Reporting is not the easiest to use and set up, however with a few miss-runs you will typically get what you need. In general the customer service with PayCor is bad. Pros I like that I can easily find any of my employees, past or present. I enjoy the learning opportunities and how you are always looking out for me. It is easy to use and streamlined. Reporting is quick and fast. Everything is customized to my particular needs. The HR management features are easy to use also and very convenient-keeps all my employee records organized and makes hiring and terminating easy. Saves my forms (taxes, W2s, etc.) Cons Does not work on all connections for example Google Chrome which is what is most used at my Company so I have to switch to Firefox or IE. My experience with Paycor Perform has been that first of all they are continually improving and adding features to continue the functionality and ease of use for the user. I utilize the Time on Demand System, the Online Reporting, Reports and Analytics, The Payroll Processing System for 15+ Client ID's. I have found that anytime I experience an issue or have a question that I have received assistance in a timely manner. I am a 1 person HR /Payroll Dept. and Paycor Perform makes my job much easier and allows me to be more efficient. January 6, 2020 5.0 As a director, I review payroll hours for my staff on a bi-weekly basis. They submit hours on a daily basis either on a computer or their personal smart phone, which is extremely convenient for t hem. Being able to monitor hours being input on a daily or weekly basis is great, and a time saver especially when corrections or adjustments need to be made. I am able to make adjustments during review, and the process is quick and simple. I also like being able to manage both my own personal time away and for that of my staff. The system allows for a general overview by others to be able to track overall attendance and gaps. Pros I appreciated how easy it is to track the hours of my individual team members as well as to make the necessary corrections and updates. Cons At present, I can't think of anything that is problematic or an issue that needs to be addressed, or resolved. It's a great software tool. Being only a user, I wasn't able to see the admin side but it seemed easy to use and quick since any issue I had was fixed within minutes. Cons The website is kind of laggy and runs a little slow. I've used it with Chrome, Firefox and Edge and was the same on all of them. We have CSR and he is AWESOME!!! Pros Paycor offers a user friendly product to administer all your payroll and HR needs. Cons We have part old system/part new system which can create some weird "how do we's" that require you to speak with one person about Time and Attendance and one for everything else. In order to produce basic reports, I'm told we need to upgrade to add the PerformHR module. Not a good thing for a non-profit. Pros It has great functionality for payroll. We consistently receive excellent customer service when needed. Cons The reporting function is not user friendly. There should be a much greater variety of standard reports. Customer support is easy to work with and quick to respond. Pros It's pretty easy to use. The new employee wizard is very helpful making sure you don't forget anything in setting up a new employee. Cons If I have to pick one thing, I think it would be that it doesn't have the ability to run some "what if" scenarios easily. I'd like to be able to enter some variables for an employee - 401k deferrals, tax exemptions, etc and see how that affects the net per pay - or for the year. When there is an issue, I have received only the best customer assistance. I can say that Nimble and its team is doing a fantastic job keeping their users happy. I am a happy camper every time I log on. Keep up the great work! Pros The online customer assistance is what I enjoy most. It is fast and I always feel taken care of when I reach out for help or when I have questions. Cons There are two people that have to publish their staff's schedule and since they are joined, there has been issues with what gets published, cleared, etc. I would be nice to be able to divide the departments so no matter what one department does it doesn't effect the others. There is a function or customization for just about any hiring and interviewing process. Multiple locations can be tracked with one system. The ability to add comments throughout the process really helps the user stay organized. Cons Given that even very complicated hiring matrices can be accommodated, users with a simple hiring process can be overwhelmed by the options. Since these options cannot be hiding or deselected, this adds several more clicks to the process. When navigating into an application and then back to the dashboard, the applications rearrange into a diffrent order almost everytime. Review Source DS Donna S. The software I was using at the other company was so outdated. The sales person from Paycor was very helpful and ensured a seamless transition between the two. We have been using the software for three years and have seen upgrades continue to happen. It is an easy to use software and most things you can figure out just by tinkering around. If you can't, just call your Paycor support person. Paycor's customer support has been great. Pros Ease of use! Cons The communication from Paycor Time and Attendance to Perform is a bit bumpy, but I know that Paycor Time is coming and will resolve that. Review Source JB Jean B. We are approaching a steady count of almost 300 employees so the system makes it easy to process new hires and all that we need for payroll and ACA functionality. I do stress a little every time my account representative changes as we become comfortable with a particular individual and it gets difficult to adjust to the new...The really good ones seem to get promoted or moved and we get rookies and start all over... Overall, there are a few things in the Paycor system that could make it more user friendly, but overall is a very good system. Paycor provides integrations with 401(k) providers that ensure employees’ deductions are properly sent to the provider. It streamlines the process and allows employers the opportunity to choose the provider that will give the best plan to their employees. They also empower employees and managers to maintain their personal and team information from anywhere with an internet connection. Each team member will have a login that will allow them to make their own elections creating an easier, paperless, open enrollment process Pros Paycor’s Applicant Tracking Solution allows its users to post jobs, review resumes and approve or deny hiring within one application. Workflows send notifications to recruiters, hiring managers, and even candidates. It paints a picture of where every candidate is within the hiring process. It also provides analytics to help get rid of bottlenecks within each hiring step. Cons Paycor does not help manage HIPAA Compliance, Recruitment, and State Unemployment Insurance as a part of their human resource database. They also have a limited benefits packages when compared to their competitors. They only cover 401k and Medical Insurance while leaving off other vital plan options like Dependent Audit, FSA, HRA, Life Insurance, Premium Only Plan, SIMPLE IRA… etc. Review Source TJ Tami J. So many HR questions, that have bogged HR departments down for many years, has been fixed by this technology. Pros Paycor allows employees to clock in and out from their phone or computer, while on company wifi, which is a wonderfully smart piece to this technology. Employees are able to keep track of their timecards, see their personal and vacation time, see past pay stubs and have easy access to w-2's. Cons It would be great for employees to be able to see their pay stub a day or two before pay day, so they can see what to expect as their upcoming deposit.
