November 2, 2016 4.0 I love Paycor for their reporting, keeping track of everything I need, handling our W-2's and filing reports. We have everything we need at our fingertips. While this isn't something that happens often it does occur. When I have the need to create a manual check for an employee I always have problems. There is not a clear path to make it happen. I don't think I have ever been able to do it on my own. If there was a separate tab on the payroll page for this I believe it would be better. We have enjoyed our relationship with Paycor and will recommend them if the opportunity comes up. Pros Reports Cons Cannot seem to create manual checks, give bonuses without help. There are a few features that could work a little more smoothly but have had no major issues. Despite impersonal service and the fear of a transition we decided to make a change to Paycor. Wow, I am glad we did. Firstly, the reps from Paycor held our hand every step of the way in the transition process and the rep even came to our office the first time we processed payroll with Perform. Perform is super easy to use and any changes I make to an employee's demographic information, pay rates, deductions, and PTO occur in real time. Our payroll processing time went from an hour to less than ten minutes. It is rare that I need to speak to a live person because I have an issue but whenever I do it is quick and easy to get a professional and courteous rep on the phone and my issues are always resolved and my questions are always answered. She was very helpful, courteous and understanding of my one day deadline. Originally, I started using the payroll service of my former employer. However, after 2 years I switched to Paycor Perform. Paycor made sure the transition was handled smoothly. I have not encountered situations requiring the intervention of my CPA to correct any issues at year-end. The online interface is easy to use. Whenever I've had a question, I've been able to access prompt, professional and courteous support from my payroll representative. Everything operates smoothly and I see no reasons to make any changes to my payroll service going forward. I have and will continue to recommend Paycor to other business owners. Our account representative really raised the bar on customer service and did a wonderful job. For example, on the few occasions when payroll had not been processed by the cutoff time she would actually call to see if perhaps we got busy and it slipped our minds and offer assistance. This high quality service is greatly appreciated, especially by small organizations who do not have payroll staff in-house. Our more recent experience has been that the account representative is hard to reach and does not return calls or emails in a timely, matter if at all. Several times I've had to inquire if payroll had been processed as the confirmation emails were late in coming. I do like the change in the software where it no longer locks the account until the payroll has been processed. This is especially helpful when you have more than one account to schedule.
