I was an early adopter of Newton and was always very happy with the product. I have since switched to Taleo due to being in a much larger organization and there are many days where I wish I could go back to the easy-to-use design of Newton. I gave an overall score of 4 out of 5 stars because Newton does lack some features that Taleo and other larger systems have for overall Talent Acquisition process, but nothing is as good of a recruiting tool as Newton (or as easy to use). There is no doubt I will be using it again some day.

Realizing Paycor has experienced growth, internal training must be very difficult but a busy end user does not want to be directed to a 'help' guide to sort thru. For new users those serve a purpose then they can be burned. Passing the buck between different silos is so very frustrating between time and attendance /HR / the payroll function etc is awful. Then to offer one last hope from our end, and it comes back to training, we have already hung up and called back in the hopes to get someone different to help us. Sorry!

I have used many payroll systems in my extended career as an Accountant and am finding this system to be rather inadequate in producing quick adhoc reports. I have spent "many hours" attempting to write various reports to no avail.

If I'm not chair side, I'm not making money. I have "no bones" about telling technical staff that I want them to walk me through any new step on your software. I don't have the desire or time to worry about computers and payroll! They help without hesitation.

I like the software keeps track of not only all of my payment but it keeps track of all of my certification and I willing to be notified when something expire.

Cons

Sometimes the software does not stay logged in and sends me right back to login. The website seems and look pretty bacis and simple to me. A little boring

Pros

The software is relatively easy to use. I can process my payroll quickly and efficiently. Taylor Homan my Paycor Specialist is great! She always makes me feel important and her patience is greatly appreciated.

Cons

I need more training on creating reports & Analytics. I am not sure how these reports pertain to my payroll processing. I mainly just use the payroll submission and access online reports.

I just discovered that they've released a new way for me to manage assets and safety issues with my employees. This will make it so much easier than the paper forms I was previously completing and scanning and uploading as simply documents in an employee's file. Compared to our previous HR software, this is 100x better. It has everything I need.

No how-to videos. I'm sure there are things I'm missing that I just don't know about. Some demos would be great.

pay core will not work with my workers comp company, 90% of all reports on line are useless to me, all the ones i need i have to pay, or upgrade my subscription for.

Pros

relatively easy pay role.

Cons

have to pay to enter manually via tablet or smart phone? That really make no sense what so ever.

After testing out several shift scheduling apps, I had almost given up hope that we'd be able to find one that fit our needs. But NimbleSchedule won the day with their ease of use, customization, pricing and highly responsive customer service. Besides the shift scheduling that we were after, their ability to support multiple locations from single interface is a huge win. I can honestly say that I had a cliché moment via a sigh a relief after implementing their system. Keep up the great work NimbleSchedule!

Pros

Love the Gusto integration and the easy way to see and approve timecard entries. It is nice that I am able to approve all the entries at once instead of having to do them individually.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to send to Gusto from a generated payroll report, and to be able to edit the timer entries based on number of hours instead of clock in and out time.

Reports are easy to configure and if I need help they are just a phone call away. Any CSR that I have dealt with has been able to solve my issue. I would like to see them implement a way to grant hours of holiday and vacation at the employees regularly scheduled work hours instead of always defaulting to 8 hours. The biometric time clock is nice that no one can lose a time card but we do have to re-enter persons on occasion.

### "From ADP to Paycor"

Pros

I like that I have to approve my timecard before my supervisor can approve. That way, there are mistakes made where my boss finalizes a timecard I haven't yet finished.

Cons

As opposed to ADP, the website isn't as sleek looking. It look busier and therefore more confusing. I found Paycor to take longer to save my entries, and sometimes won't save entries and I have to re-enter punches. I'm thinking that it's a problem to have entries that overlap, like 11 AM - 12 PM and then 12 PM - 1 PM as two separate entries. ADP didn't have a problem with this.

I think that paycor works great. I have only been working with it for a little over a year but when I started it was easy to learn. I like easy to learn things. I don't want to change something that works just fine and that I 'am already familiar with. When I go on paycor it has all the things I need to pay my employees and easy to find. I like that if I have any questions or concerns I just have to email or call my rep and he takes care of the situation for me. I have not had any trouble at all with paycor.

The Security of the program- always need an access code, and easy access to reports is easy with which to work, also it is a plus to have a representative to help.

Cons

At this moment I do not have any cons. I appreciate the response from representatives I have worked with and the easy accessibility to the reports.

Easy to get up and using! A sudden loss in our office made us acutely aware of the need for this sort of service. Thank goodness for expert help by phone. My support people have been terrific! I gave a 3-star to Features & Functions and Ease of Use only because, (while I know the answers are "somewhere") - many details, edits, general answers to questions are hard to find in the index or help searches. I am sure the seminars may be very helpful, but I have not had the luxury of time to participate.

We have been using Paycor for quite awhile and the platform is easy to use, the customer support is great and I have been pleasantly surprised but how simple it is. I'm thankful for the ease of pulling up payroll reports and how quickly I can get employee history.

Every once in awhile I come across something I need a little more help figuring out, but their support has always been quick to help me figure it out.

Function for payroll use is fine. I find the interface between Time & Attendance & Payroll to be clunky, I guess actually non-existent. Many features that would make the software more useful; an easy example- be able to add comments or see a timeframe when an employee was transferred from PT to FT. Setting up reports is not user friendly. Our experience has been that if you are assigned a good customer service representative ( which we currently are) Perform functions fine for payroll needs.

Our organization has used Newton for 6+ years. In that time we've grown from a staff of 50-60 in 4 locations to a staff of 300+ in 12 locations nationwide (and one international). Newton has been able to accommodate that scaling and is easy to teach to hiring managers from each location. And every time we've worked with their customer service team they've been really responsive and helpful. A few pieces aren't totally intuitive, but overall it's not too hard to use. Definitely recommend this system.
