Pros: The support team is great. I've stumped them a few times, but they do figure everything out! And, I like that they ask for input on their forums so that improvements are constantly being made. It's nice for us, after leaving a horrible set of processes for work-arounds with lots of manual work, to be on a seamless all-in-one solution that is affordable.

Cons: Payment on forms is awkward (having separate selection sets is confusing to some people and we do refunds routinely because of it). There needs to be an easier way to purchase single or multiple tickets to events that is more streamlined for visitors to the site.

Memberclicks is a great association management system. I've had the best experience this past year.

Pros: This software offers several functions and capabilities. Everything I need to manage our membership, members only website, email marketing, forms and more are all in one place.

Cons: There are many settings that have to be turned on and off in Memberclicks to allow or deny access to certain things. These settings are sometimes very hidden and hard to find without calling a rep for help.

The implementation process is well thought out and organized. Great team to work with

Pros: Forms are easy to set up for various member types and events. Edits to the website and member info is easy from the back end. The help team is great if I don't know how to do something or if I need to find a work around to do something the system isn't designed to do

Cons: I wish there was a digital membership certificate or card, which pulled in the member name, number, and expiration date that was printable. I designed an article that we use as a certificate with all that info however it doesn't print in a way that members can frame and display it easily.

Overall: more efficient membership management. Less labor intensive

We've been using MC for almost 2 yrs and have found it to be an excellent AMS!

Pros: The integration: all member info in one place. Our previous system was very disjointed and MC has certainly alleviated a lot of manual tasks. It is great that members can log into their profile and see all their activities: payments, registrations, donations, messages etc.

Cons: Some areas require extra steps that could be condensed such as you cannot print/email an invoice directly from a member's profile. You need to Invoice tab outside of the member's profile. There is no conference software such as badging, CE certificates, evaluations, session monitoring etc. Customization of invoice lines such as a conference with one day pricing does not break out which sessions they are attending. Readable forms that you can print out.

Pros: It's an all in one platform for managing our association's database, website, email, and announcements!

Cons: The built-in event calendar feature is lacking, the social community feature doesn't fulfill it's promise because members must log into the website to access it - would be much more effective if it were offered as an app.

Comments: They are a great company, but in terms of streamlining, they didn't have what we needed in order to streamline our association needs.

Pros: Customer service with this product is amazing, I can reach them by email, phone or submitting a ticket and they're quick to respond. When they don't have a solution, we explore options together. They offer a lot of features and functionality.

Cons: With a lot of functionality, comes a lot of training and knowing what each and every detail does. Though they are excellent at responding to the "why" I had to become an expert in their product myself - it's not an intuitive platform at all and you really need to know what you're doing, and how. Doesn't work with Canadian taxes on their forms, so we had to come up with an alternative way to do this, and then capture it in QuickBooks, so it creates double the work.

Pros: I can accomplish all of my member service needs in one place: applications, billing management, website and communications. It's very easy to learn and use... and if it ever isn't the customer support is truly wonderful. They are always accessible, kind, and provide training to fix my issues.

Cons: Some of the settings are a little funny: for example, I can't email multiple categories of membership at the same time and some of the automatic settings are hidden in funny places.

Pros: Automation of invoicing for renewals and ability to create ad hoc invoices easily. I love the ease of this feature. It cuts down on the manual labor.

Cons: Wish it could be slightly more customizable for membership types. Health systems are tricky, where they need more than just a parent-child relationship.

Pros: I like the ease of being able to create pages and menu items. The CMS makes it easy to update content. I especially like the reminder to change url links if url alias has been changed.

Pros: It is very versatile for our small organization. We have a complicated membership base - many different types, and the MemberClicks team has been very helpful with customizing it to our needs.

Cons: Assigning attributes to our membership levels is tedious. We have a complicated membership base so it is taking us quite a long time to think through this step.

Overall: Keeping all of our data in one place - easier reporting for our needs - tied to our new website is a big plus.

Pros: Easy to learn as a regular user, lots of flexibility and user-defined workflows, responsive customer service, easy to send email blasts, lots of intuitive features - things tend to be located where you would naturally look for them. It's pretty powerful, particularly for the price point. I like how much is automated and that you can control a lot of it when you have special circumstances. We have fewer work-arounds than I've ever had with a database.

Cons: Complexity of internal setup and interaction between different modules - just a lot to learn and track so you make sure the right members get the right messages. Definitely need at least one staff person who is a "super user" to get it all sorted in the beginning and keep it running when changes happen/new features are released. Our membership structure is really complicated so keeping track of all the different permissions and testing workflows is crucial and time consuming.

The lack of API is really annoying, though I'm told that's coming soon. It's also annoying that custom attributes (e.g. our member numbers which apply to organizations, not individuals) don't "cascade" from org-level profiles to their linked individual profiles. MC has an automated member number system but it assigns a unique member number to each profile. That makes uploads/data cleanup easier, but since we have one number to cover all the people working for a given organization, we don't use that feature - we have a manual process work-around which is annoying.

Overall: We've been with Memberclicks for a few years and when we started using it we were really disappointed - from the data migration that took over a month to the implementation that took four months and a HUGE chunk of time, to features that didn't work the way we needed. Then a year ago - BANG - new reality!

They released an entirely rebuilt database system to some early adopters (including us) and the implementation was FULLY supported (though it took a while, apparently our needs are complicated) and the new platform is great! The staff clearly took all of their clients' feedback and suggestions and recommendations, and continue to do so, and continue to build features and weed out bugs quickly. The customer service staff clearly has new energy - they're incredibly helpful and responsive by email. One major issue is that it does NOT have an API right now - so no talking to other databases.

We use MC to manage our complex membership structure (mix of organizations and individuals, with different tiers and a variety of dues structures) and our event registration (we do about 20 events per year). We also use it as our "membership only" website so members can login and self-serve, and as our email blast client. The best feature in my opinion (as membership manager) is the automated renewal invoices. Our bookkeeper likes the way payments can be posted and reports run on transactions. Our communications director likes how easy the "contact center" is to use with the exception that saved messages are stored by their subject line (e.g. rather than labelling a message "BOE Event 2-25-16" it uses the subject line "Join us for nonprofit fundraising workshop" which makes searching problematic.) Our administrative assistant likes how easily you can set up organization-to-individual relationships, and how that's automated when someone takes the Membership Application form online (though there are a few bugs there.)

Overall they system is pretty easy to learn and has lots of flexibility and user-controlled or defined aspects. The flexibility makes implementation arduous - you have to set permissions for every member type for every attribute in the database itself and again for public directories and webpages. The MC team walk you through it and can do a lot of the work for you but your prep on defining processes/workflows is crucial. Overall I'd recommend MC - just be clear about what it is you NEED a system to do and what you want a system to do for you.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be thorough in understanding exactly what you need the system to do and how it's going to interact with other systems (e.g. quickbooks). Run tests with fake data so you can see how complex or easy it is to make it do what you want.

Pros: I think the easy of use and the customer service. The always work to answer my questions or come up with a solution. The importing of database updates is much easier in this version as opposed to the classic version.

Cons: Some of the reporting features need to be updated. There are some limitations with ability to grant access to our chapter presidents so they can edit their own webpages and run their own membership reports. The classic version of this product had that ability. Also it is not able to have one person register other users unless they all share the same password.

Overall: This is a great service for small associations. They help desk is the best, always ready to help and answer any question I have. It is a wonderful product. There are some flaws and features that need to be added to improve the product but engineering is working on solutions.

Recommendations to other buyers: It takes a little while to navigate around but once you fully explore everything you can see how much power this system gives you.

Pros: Fairly easy to navigate. You can learn as you go.

Cons: Some of it is dated, but we are using the classic version. If we upgrade, we must do it during slow season.

Overall: We have used MemberClicks since 2009. While our membership and activities have grown, our staff has not! MemberClicks makes this possible, as we are able to manage dues for 1400 members and at least one dozen events per year between the two of us. While neither of us has computer/software/HTML training, the platform is user-friendly and allows us each to develop skills to manage our online presence. And when we don't know something, the help desk is there to assist.

Cons: Formatting issues, Formatting, Formatting, and also Formatting especially in emails

Overall: I love how easy it is to use in most areas. The Customer Support is great and I couldn't ask for better. The detailed training sessions are very useful. I don't personally use the transaction side of things very much but my coworkers seem to like it. However, the one thing I don't like is the formatting issues that they have. We have had continued issues with the formatting inside of emails not keeping or adding weird formatting in general. Website facing formatting sometimes also tends to act weird. Even with the formatting problems, I still love it.

Pros: I think if you didn't have excellent Customer Support I would not like it as well.

Cons: I'm not fond of some of the limitations. I'd like the suffix field to be a fill-in, not a drop-down. People work hard and obtain credentials (i.e., Ph.D.) and members use that credential as part of their name. I'd like the middle initial in our forms to export -- middle initials are important to some people! I generate certificates using the form information and I need that middle initial. I don't like the credit/refund process -- maybe I just need to understand it and get used to it.

Overall: I'm not a "techy" person - I am intimated by most technology. I was a bit disappointed when we upgraded platforms and felt that the Memberclicks person assigned to our account was not as helpful as she could have been for the set-up. When I call Customer Support they are all very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. Some of my questions are easy and some aren't. I've been working with Memberclicks for about 3 years. I came in from Access Database, where I had complete control over the fields and could do whatever I wanted. Every software is limited more than that, but generally I find Memberclicks fairly accommodating for our needs.

Pros: It integrates member management software with an association website that has sections for internal and external audiences.

Cons: The interface has a few areas that could be better organized (for instance, pull-down lists for applying styles that are not alphabetized).

Overall: I began using MemberClicks five years ago with a nonprofit association that has a large site with a lot of legacy material. Some of the good features I have noticed are unlimited customer support (I usually submit a help ticket via email) and the capacity to either use the editing interface or edit HTML if desired.

The support staff are always chipper and upbeat. Occasionally clarifying questions takes some going back and forth to explain a request. On the other hand, a good number of the team members seem fairly seasoned and in some projects they clearly go the extra mile to investigate what might be possible or to be responsive. Sending mass-email newsletters can take a lot of testing when adjusting appearance of an HTML email because the email-editing interface does not always precisely display what you will ultimately get upon transmission. For a while the ASA users could recommend or vote on product enhancements in a knowledge base, which can still be searched on the back end. Occasionally I have wished for material to share with our association members to explain how things like the forums work (there is a video showing what end-users see). The company focuses on supporting small staffs and comments in the knowledge base sound appreciative of the support received.

Recommendations to other buyers: Stay with the provider's "native" look-and-feel for simplicity of managing and keeping up pages.

If I ever have a problem or need help, I simply contact the help desk and they help me within 24 hours and stay with me until I 100% understand how to do something or the issue is resolved. There are some bugs to work out sometimes but mostly, that has to do with me not setting something up correctly! In any case, my organization has tried to look into similar platforms with the same or more functionality and I plead my case each time to stay with MemberClicks (because I am the one to use it 99% of the time) because of their amazing customer support.

Cons: Most of our issues will hopefully be resolved when we move to Memberclicks' new platform. We are still using Classic. It would be nice to export membership data retroactively.

Comments: Memberclicks was decent, enjoyable and easy to use. Can't recall much frustration with it. Used it to monitor and send emails designed for a 5000+ membership list for a non-profit dealing with members of the post production portion of the entertainment industry, modifying emails depending on the level of member or non-member the e-mail went out to

Pros: The ability to watch how people responded to your email, either how they opened it up and if they read it at all. That really helped gauge our content.

Cons: How people could have multiple email addresses and difficulty of consolidating them into one account.

Comments: We've been using MemberClicks ever since the failed migration of Affiniscape to YourMembership. The customer support issues we faced during that migration encouraged us to seek another AMS provider. We reviewed 10 different providers, and when we interviewed MemberClicks, it was clear that we had found a good fit. Just about all of the AMS systems will do the same things - but MemberClicks has a customer support team that is truly unmatched. For us, it's more important to have good customer service than anything else. With just 1 paid staffer, we're not able to consult with tech specialists to get the job done. We rely heavily on the expertise and kindness of the support team. I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase or change their AMS should strongly consider service to be as important as functionality. In terms of functionality, MemberClicks in first class. It's easy to use, easy to learn, and looks beautiful. Our members love it and so do we. They help you get started, too. You aren't going to be building things from scratch. They help you set up your primary pages as part of your build out. This is really a pop-up AMS, and we'll never look back.

Pros: Logical and simple WYSIWYG editor Great customer support Important widgets - adds functionality and a "slick" appearance Easy database upload and edit features Nice sorting tools for the database Simple invoicing system Committee Management Features Blog and social stream features Great API interface with other programs - you're not locked into one system, but rather can expand your functionality across many programs

Cons: No endemic LMS No non-exported/imported batch updates for some fields Hard for a "parent" profile to add a "child" profile

Comments: Memberclicks software is very flexible for associations like ours. We have a membership of around 500 individuals and a total database between 5,000-10,000 and it is easily managed through Memberclicks. We use the forms and database the most and it keeps good records of who is signing up for what events. Being in a technology based industry, we have not come across any major complaints or issues so it should be more than adequate for most users.

Pros: Memberclicks customer service is top notch. It is easy to get a hold of knowledgeable and friendly tech support on the phone anytime they are open and emails are promptly responded to by the same helpful staff. Most things are easy to work with and there is a ton of existing knowledge base that is easy to search so the good thing is tech support is rarely needed. If you are building an entire website through Memberclicks, you can integrate pages with information in your database and have it all linked and smartly interactive so that is a big plus.

Cons: If you have varying levels of membership and corporate memberships that include individual memberships, it can be difficult to organize exactly the way you want. Basically, you want to have an administrator from the company that can handle membership updates for all included members but also have the individuals with access to their own profiles independently. There are workarounds but those require more manual work so that is the biggest drawback. On the other hand, I've checked out and used other similar software and most of them have the same issues so it seems to be something that no one has really come up with a good solution for yet.

Comments: My association has been using MemberClicks since 2012 and it has truly transformed the way we work for the better. Before using MemberClicks we had a searchable database and website, but both were very clunky and difficult to use for the user and staff. The MemberClicks database is very easy to use and customizable.

Pros: The MemberClicks platform is user friendly to make updates to the website or the database. We use the email marketing/contact center all the time. We are able to send personalized emails, schedule message deliveries, and track open rates, bounces and click-thrus. We also use the event registration for all of our meetings, this has allowed us to accept credit card payments and send customized emails to our attendees. Also, the customer service is fantastic!

Cons: MemberClicks only has a few website templates that can limit how your site looks, but we were able to find one that works for our needs and looks great. We are anxiously awaiting the new MemberClicks platform to incorporate a few features we utilize daily on the "Classic" platform.

Comments: We have tried various CMS or custom solutions over the years but the Memberclicks SaaS (Software as a Service) brings all of our organizational management needs to a single user interface. We now have a single source for Membership, Social Events and Website that is convenient, easy to manage and easier to use.

Plus, Memberclicks provides a number of features that we did not have before. Some of the features that attracted us to Memberclicks were Automated email reminders, Payment subscription options, Event management and a feature rich Website . It's a real CMS solution for us.

Not that we have needed them much but the Customer Service team has been top notch when we have called. While the user interface for the Membership Profiles takes a few minutes to learn, it provides all of the features we need. And because we are on a SaaS platform, as we grow and evolve our organization, Memberclicks will grow to meet our needs.

Comments: As someone who works for a small non-profit, we use this product to manage our fellow database. The process of importing data could use better instructions and warnings about little glitches, and the benefits of using a basic or advanced import. However, the overall experience of importing data went well and the error signs were clear as to what part of the data needed cleaning. Help desk was great support, especially the person who stayed on the phone with me to troubleshoot issues during my import and gave me advice to solve any future problems.

Pros: Here at NEEBC we love Memberclicks. It is easy to learn and a breeze to use once you get the hang of it - and we are more able to take care of our valued members with this excellent system.

Cons: There has not always been enough flexibility in the web site design functions but that is changing and improving monthly so we are happy. :)

Recommendations to other buyers: If you have an organization that has a membership you need to manage, I cannot recommend Memberclicks highly enough. Our membership has grown and our bottom line has improved since using this system. Thanks for all you do!

Pros: Membership management, Payment processing and form development. I like that the MC staff is timely and responsive. My donations, membership fees and fundraising efforts can all be created, accessed and processed in one system.

Cons: The forms and pages can be a little tricky and time consuming to develop. But it is still way easier than HTML.

Comments: I am so frustrated trying to implement this. We had read a few reviews saying that it isn't designed for trade associations and we were hesitant at first, but assured that those glitches have been fixed and it seemed like it would work well enough until we could move to something else. That is not the case. It is not easy to use, it is not intuitive. I can not have lower level staff working in it as much as I would like because it takes so many steps to get anywhere and things are not organized in a logical fashion. The parent/child relationships we are using to organize contacts by company is very cumbersome. It is just not designed to accommodate our structure, so if you are a trade association, don't believe them that it will work for you.

And, they told us everything was fully customizable, and it is not. We want to limit/moderate interactions between members and though we can disable the directory and search and connect functions like we were told, they are still visible to members in the "My Profile" page and just don't work. Who designs software like that? They clearly don't seem to think this is a problem. So my only option is to wait until members call complaining that the software search functions don't work then try to explain to them that no, we just disabled it because we don't want you to use it. That is just not acceptable.

Comments: As a volunteer based organization this has worked well for us. I had no previous experience setting up a website, but with a little help and customer service always being available we launched it a year ago. As we begin our second year I am much more comfortable. Creating forms has become easier. Last year I would say they functioned, this year they have a much better look and feel. I tend to have some questions that I feel I should know the answer to, but still can't find and customer service is always readily available to answer my questions and not make me feel silly for asking! I would definitely say it takes time and energy to learn it, but once you have some basic knowledge you can utilize that to advance your use of the software.

Pros: MemberClicks has a clean interface, easy to read, easy to follow. We used it at Hollywood Post Alliance to keep track of our membership and those who would purchase tickets to our organization's events. Easy to search information, easy to follow the trail of receipts and purchases.

Cons: At the top of the personal information pages there would be a box to check if you wanted to keep a member "active". Every time you made a change to the webpage the box would uncheck automatically. If overlooks checking this box, the member would disappear from searches, and one would have to go into the hidden information page to find them again. I felt this was poor design for the software, as the box wasn't prominently displayed and didn't stay checked. It was a hassle, and I dealt with it often. More than that, there was no safeguard against someone who was a non-member filling out information and paying for a ticket at a member discount. It took time, energy, and attention to ensure that everyone who purchased a member-price ticket for our event was actually a member. This could have been automated. It would have saved us hassle.

Recommendations to other buyers: MemberClicks is a great way to keep a searchable database of members and non-members who work with and around your organization. It lets you track the history of their purchases and is easy to update their information within your database. It is a strong way to sell tickets for your event, especially if you rely on your membership to purchase tickets. I would suggest being aware of the "active" box being checked when updating membership information, knowing if your membership drives ticket sales, because if you rely mostly on non-members for your ticket purchases there are several steps non-members must take to register and then sign up (this often tripped up people on our ticketing page.)

Pros: The vendor is easy to work with and the product is easy to work with. Even my most technology challenged colleagues have successfully learned how to use Memberclicks

Cons: Memberclicks database organization is people oriented. That's great, unless you also have to track companies. Tracking companies is difficult because you have to know the name of the person associated with the company to be able to pull up the record. Also, sometimes tracking event registrations are difficult because if someone registers for someone else under their profile, that record won't be associated with the member.

Recommendations to other buyers: Consider how often you'll need to track companies or organizations. If it's not much, maybe Memberclicks is the right solution for you.

Pros: We had to make a quick transition from an existing AMS to another system, and do a build out in less than 6 weeks. Memberclicks was with us every step of the way. They paired individual staff trainings with video and webinar content to get us off the ground, and built out the major pages for us in advance. Instead of taking 500+ staff hours to get the site up and running, we completed everything in less than a week. When we were making the switch, we interviewed 5 potential providers, and Memberclicks' team was far and away the kindest and most helpful. Lots of AMS providers can offer bells and whistles - and Memberclicks competes well on all those metrics. But the most important thing for us, and trust me, for you, is customer service. Memberclicks wins hands down every time when it comes to service.

Cons: I honestly can't think of anything we don't like. We've used 3 different systems, and this is the only one that doesn't make the day grumpy.

Recommendations to other buyers: 1. Make sure that your provider has HTML snippets you can grab for professional looking emails. Unless you can code, it's hard to make even the nicest editor come out right on the other end unless the code is properly written. Memberclicks has code snippets for everything. 2. Make sure your provider has a membership database structure that makes sense for your group. Memberclicks has a parent-child system that makes it easy to renew whole companies all at once. 3. Check with current users about their level of satisfaction with customer service. Memberclicks has the best customer service I have ever encountered, and I would caution anyone against going with a company without feeling out their help team. 4. Be sure to view all the features on the front and back ends; the build-out templates; and examples of their work on other sites. You'll want to get an idea of what's possible & what's not. For example - make a list of all the widgets you're looking for like sliders, RSS feeds, calendar widgets, etc. - and ask which ones are included, which ones cost extra, and which ones are not possible. 5. Carefully export everything from your existing site in a sortable and organized way. Good info out = good info in = good info out again. Ask the new provider if they can offer help with this process.

Comments: MemberClicks provides decent website, email, registration form, payment processing, and database tools all under one roof. Sure, better software exists for each of these purposes, but it's great to have them integrated into one serviceable, low-cost product specifically designed for small-staff organizations. It's easy to set up different groups and provide different levels of access according to membership status. I use the Advanced Search to send emails to different segments of our database, and I use MemberClicks templates to build the emails as opposed to designing them from scratch (I recommend this approach because emails can get junky). It's not the fanciest system in the world, but it gets the job done. The Message Report center could be improved because it's not always easy to go back and find emails after they've been sent to look up results. I always include link tracking manually, when I think it should be automatic. The event calendar could be nicer too - it would be helpful to be able to link to individual events, and include instructions for people submitting events. Overall, I find it quick and easy to update the website, and the Help Team always responds to me the same day I submit a request.

Comments: Been using MemberClicks for about two and half years. Found it to be a very reliable product that allows our organization to maintain a modern and clean website, while also managing our membership requirements. From the content management side the interface is fairly basic and easy to pick-up. It can be it times a little cumbersome for formatting, and the user interface could use an update, but it makes up for it in flexibility of additional offerings. These include blog, job boards, and event management & calendars.

Most helpful is the fantastic support that is provided by MemberClicks. Whenever i have had a product question or was stuck on a web design / formatting issue I was contacted within a couple hours, often minutes. (This included usually in the evening, when i actually have time to work on the site as a volunteer organization!).

Comments: MemberClicks is a robust system. It's clear to me that they have invested heavily in building the product. In my experience, the more robust a product is the longer the learning curve. You have to learn the language and navigation of the system. There's the true challenge for me: I have years of experience doing it my way, and now I need to learn the MemberClicks way.

However, this is where I believe MemberClicks shines. Their support staff exceeds my expectations. I never feel like I'm bothering them. (and I tend to be a high maintenance customer with lots of questions) They listen to my questions, and intuitively know what I'm really trying to ask. I don't get put on hold while they research an answer--they seem to have the answer ready for me before I call. On top of that, they don't just provide the answer to my question. They take time to teach me through the issue--which means I'm implementing best practices instead of misusing the tools. At the end of the day, the support staff has shortened my learning curve dramatically.

I'm thrilled with MemberClicks. The product is solid. The people behind it are invaluable.

Comments: Our transition to MemberClicks database and website has been an exciting change! As with any product, there is going to be a learning curve to actually understand the ins-and-outs of the program, but the MemberClicks team has been extremely helpful and is available to you any time. The implementation managers are very organized and professional and explain their product well. And then when your implementation period is over, you work with their customer service team who is just as knowledgeable so you don't feel like you are starting over with people who can't really answer your questions. You can call anytime with questions and they are happy to help you for as long as it takes to solve the issues. They don't make you feel like you're bothering them and they go the extra mile to ensure you receive your answers. Their response time to emailed questions is very timely as well. And they even follow-up with you after your "ticket" has been answered to make sure there's nothing else you need. And this customer service comes at no extra cost so you don't feel like you're being nickeled and dimed.

The database is very well thought out and has covered most of the areas needed for our association. The layout of menu items is very organized and self-explanatory which makes things much easier. While the product sticks within some "off-the-shelf" guidelines, it is still a very personalized product that you can easily adapt to your needs.

The website is also very user-friendly. If you can edit a Word document, you can edit the website! It's very easy to make real-time changes. The only comment I would say about the website is that it would be nice to have more than 1 responsive template. In today's world, everything is viewed on different electronic devices so a responsive template is necessary. More options for responsive templates would help to offer more personalized look options for your website. But with that being said, the 1 template they have looks nice and we are happy with it.

Overall, it is so nice to have the ability to have control of your own database and website without being a IT professional. We are very pleased with MemberClicks!

Comments: MemberClicks has given our organization a highly functional website and member database that are fully manageable by volunteers with limited technical expertise. If you can learn the quirks of Word to format documents or Excel to create simple spreadsheets, you will be able to use MemberClicks.

MemberClicks provides wizards, copy buttons, and shortcuts that minimize the work required. Most of the 'next steps' are clear and don't require you to have a manual nearby.

Yes, you need to learn how to use MemberClicks, but the learning is mostly tied to the details of each step. The system has so much flexibility built in that you have to make numerous decisions along the way. For example, for a new web page, you need to create the web link and the webpage, then decide who has access and when that webpage should be visible (start and stop dates). It's very easy to add fields to the database but you need to decide who can see it and who can change it - sometimes only admin can change; sometimes only members can see, sometimes only the member can see. The downside of technology is that you need to have rules and define them in the system; the exceptions cause the problems and deciding how to manage exceptions can be difficult.

MemberClicks also provides a merchant account (optional) and support team for credit card processing - all we had to do was submit the paperwork. The 'connection' to MemberClicks was handled without our involvement.

The one area that I would improve is the implementation start-up. We started with training classes (database) but I think some general reading material or slideshow that would have introduced MemberClicks terminology and the overall organization of training would have helped. For those who have never been involved in system implementation, the concepts of defining database groups, attributes and granting permissions are huge to grasp in a 30 minutes webinar. Many people need to see the picture of a jigsaw puzzle before diving in even though assembling the puzzle with no picture is possible. Someone on the project team should have system implementation experience - that know-how of what to expect and where the problems lie.

Comments: As a new member of MemberClicks I am impressed how thoughtful and knowledgeable the support team has been. We launched a conference registration today for the first time on our new site and the process went beautifully. 200 event registrations and very little need for member support was a telltale sign we made a good decision moving to MemberClicks.

Comments: As a nonprofit Association we use Memberclicks for our website data base, from email news blasts that we send out weekly to keeping an updated membership, Memberclicks has been a great fit for our Association. I constantly call and ask for step by step directions on how to complete a task. Their staff is friendly and even follows up with an email of what the conversation was about. I highly recommend companies looking into Memberclicks.

Comments: I am new to MemberClicks and new to my org but not new to membership databases so I feel like I have a thousand questions. The lexicon is a little different to what I am used to but once I took the time to learn how things function and how things work together, most of the program makes sense to me. One can apply similar logic across Member Clicks processes - for instance, once you learn how forms work to manage event set up, the media manager makes sense as does article management. A few of the concepts are still a little confusing... but I am getting there.

What is most impressive is the customer service. The answer/resource/tools hit my inbox usually before I switch gears to return to the project I asked about (I work with a few different clients - not all in MC). It is almost embarrassing how fast it is! My only complaint thus far about the member data side of things is that the process to merger records is kind of cumbersome. It is not nearly as easy as say, CiviCRM or even a custom access DB. Essentially you tag and insert transaction history, then you delete the unwanted record - losing any contact history or notes. Most or our data is managed at the National level for this particular group so there is a monthly upload process (hence the opportunity for duplicates).

I look forward to learning more about MemberClicks and using it more fully. Keep up the great work customer service!

Comments: MemberClicks is not the first product solution I have used to maintain a website and member information. However, it is the first that has really made sure that all of my needs were met. Follow up is really important in customer service and MemberClicks really embraces this concept. I never leave without either my question answered or the ream member explaining that research needs to be done before they can answer. I appreciate that even when they do not have an immediate answer, they are honest. Once they find the answer they immediately contact me. Even after that, they follow up and make SURE they have help me figure things out. Thanks MemberClicks!

Comments: I have been with MemberClicks for our organization for about 6 months now. The training is great, but the system itself is so straightforward you probably don't need the training to begin with. Compared to other website management systems I have seen, MemberClicks is a breeze!

When I have had questions how to implement a certain feature, the customer service team has been right on it, responding within 24 hours and making sure not to finish until they have answered any question in full.

They are always implementing new ideas, of which I have made some suggestions myself. They are always responsive, and I can't imagine an easier experience in managing an organizations website.

Pros: The software is easy to use, but if you do have a problem, the Help Team is awesome and is able to help right away in most cases. Online registration for our conferences goes very well, and reports associated with registration are very helpful. Also, the renewal process has worked very well for us. The reminders are easy to time and edit. We have increased our membership by more than 15% since we started using MemberClicks. I believe most of this can be attributed to MemberClicks' renewal process and our user-friendly website (also designed by MemberClicks).

Cons: Sorting and searching for invoices could be a little easier. I also wish there was a report for tracking the number of renewal notices sent and number who actually renew.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look into the ease of updating the website, creating forms, registration process, renewal process, tracking payments, customer service and support, payment fees and general reports.

Comments: MemberClicks provides a terrific product and their customer service and support is absolutely outstanding. As a non-profit, we needed a product that could provide the service and features that would help us function more efficiently and provide our members with the best possible experience in using our website, maintaining profile information easily, signing up for our yearly conference, payment processing, and receiving messages--all at an affordable price. MemberClicks met and exceeded our expectations. In researching potential companies, MemberClicks stood out from the beginning with its personal, responsive service--from the sales team and trainers to the web designers and technicians. As someone who had no previous skill in website management and no coding skills, I had to gain some expertise quickly. MemberClicks walked me through the initial training of different components at a reasonable pace, and it didn¿t take long before I felt confident in maintaining the site and assisting our other administrator with database issues. There are lots of other tools to support learning the system or fixing problems through a library of training videos and articles that are easy to access, along with webinars. But when I have been really stuck, I have been amazed and impressed with the speed of their responses, both through email and by phone. They have been there to help me right from the start and the great customer service has not stopped. This truly sets the company apart. Besides great service, they keep improving their product by rolling out new features and asking for customer input along the way. MemberClicks has been a great company for our organization and has really made a difference.

Comments: We just completed implementing the MC system and migrating our 2,000 members/non-members. We were operating separate databases, applications and processes for our website, membership management, financial management, meeting management. Right on the heels of migrating our membership and rolling out out the redesigned web site, we've just launched our first event - our annual, international symposium with a core technical program, short courses and many ancillary activities. The MC system is truly integrated: Therein lies the power... and the challenges! If it weren't for the rapid response time and the team approach exhibited by the Help Desk Product Experts, I question whether our roll out would be going as well as it has been. Although we spent what we considered sufficient time analyzing our needs and designing our set up, I realize we should have conducted a more robust testing phase. You really learn by using this system and more exposure to its capabilities prior to roll out would have been beneficial. I really appreciate the recorded training videos (you can go back as many times as needed) and step-by-step instructions, also helpful for reference. I can't imagine a set of needs MemberClicks would not be able to accommodate with a detailed needs analysis and well-thought out set up choices.

Comments: I have been using MemberClicks for years. Initially when I took over management of my organization's website, we were barely utilizing MC. One of my initial tasks was to migrate our website over so that we could host it through MC. Since then I have learned a tremendous amount about how powerful the MC platform is and what all can be done with it.

My only complaint is that there is a fairly steep learning curve (and I work in IT as a web developer, so I know my way around computers), but once you learn it, you realized how powerful it is.

The highest praise I can give MC (and it is very high praise), is for their customer service. They have professional people with great, helpful attitudes working for them. And I don't think I have ever been on hold for more than 5 minutes before there was a well-spoken representative there on the other end of the line to help me. These days when I call they usually have to elevate my request to the second level support, but they do that, and even that level of support is very responsive, and usually gets my issue resolved within 48 hours or less.

Powerful product. Incredible Customer Service team.

Comments: Pros - The system allows you to do a lot - especially at a great price.
If you are willing to learn the system you can enjoy it and be very creative.
It is setup in tiers so that you can pay by how many members you anticipate having.
The customer service department is terrific! They are very prompt in responding to your
needs.
Cons - These comments are not really cons, but just an fyi:
I think any complaints people may have is that takes some time to learn the system, but
the more you put into it the more you will get out of it.
Be sure to ask all the questions upfront so you can design your system the right way
initially.

Comments: MemberClicks is a great system for our 2,000+ membership. We are in our 4th year with MemberClicks and have realized many of the benefits, over time, of their integrated system. Great for membership management, with updates and new features regularly rolled out. We use many different forms for multiple events, and MemberClicks' integrated system works really well. Our website is hosted through MemberClicks too.

MC does listen to what clients are asking for. They offer great customer service with timely follow-up. The online help function is user friendly and often gets you to the source; the webinars are well-done and are a great tool to learn the system components. There is a learning curve, as with any software, and with MemberClicks your expertise builds quickly as you master one component and then another.

Comments: I like MemberClicks because it allows us to provide our members with a lot of features such as a job board, event calendar and registrations, payment processing, and social networking. It takes some learning to get everything in place, but there are a lot of training videos and how-to articles along with the help center which helps a lot. I gave it four stars overall and for customer service instead of five because sometimes it takes a few hours or a day to get a response from the help team so urgent matters have to be put on hold until a response is given, and I feel the monthly fee is a little high for websites, but overall my organization is satisfied with MemberClicks.

As a association management professional, I recently attended the SHRM Leadership Summit in DC. I attended a session specifically geared to the assoc. pros where we were able to alsk about our experiences with our AMSs. I was part of a group that had converted to MC over other AMSs including YourMembership. Comments: MemberClicks is an impressive product with many useful, seductive features.
In the courting stage we were led to believe certain features would work in our situation, however during training we discovered they would not. We were disappointed and felt that we were not given the full picture.
Two cases in point: We were excited to hear that MemberClicks financial data could be uploaded into QuickBooks. We were not told there was a monthly fee.
The Parent Child feature seemed a perfect answer to our need to link members with their congregations and track congregational involvement. This was a huge selling point for us, however we were not able to make it work and we received no help in thinking through how to make it usable.
Our trainer was always at the ready and knowledgeable. She even called on vacation. The help desk is always there with an answer and always friendly. Only one of our help desk experiences was less that satisfactory. All too often though, the answer is ¿the system doesn¿t do that, but feel free to request a feature upgrade.¿ In requesting features we noticed that some very obvious fixes had been requested and re-requested for 5 years and nothing has been done about it. We were always encouraged by the help desk to suggest changes, but after a while it seemed an empty promise.
The training should guide the user in determining best practices for their situation; perhaps an assessment interview, or a set of questions to help the user and the trainer determine best practices for their particular situation. Our trainer was always able to answer questions but she never asked any except, "Do you have any questions?" The training staff is very skilled in systems but lacks teaching skills. Teachers ask questions and get at the heart of the issue. On several occasions we adopted a certain strategy and then discovered a better way to do it, purely on our own. This could have been avoided if training had been more interactive and proactive.
The fault lies not in the employees but in the focus of the company. You have a very useful product, but innovation needs to continue and keep up with user needs.
I would like to be able to give Memberclicks a five-star review but the piecemeal approach to implementation and the continual offloading of questions to the apparently ignored "features request¿ section makes it impossible for me to do so.

Pros: MemberClicks' focus on customer service is excellent! The Help Team is always responsive and informed to help resolve any issue or question that may come up and in a very timely manner! This is extremely important to our organization!

Cons: The vendor is excellent! I would like to see some enhancements for the form functionality to be more user-friendly and easier to work with when setting up questions/responses for a survey, something more like Survey Monkey.

Pros: It is a great tool for small associations who want a nice layout of content and who manage a database in the back-end. We also can see quickly the forms that are linked and those who completed it, and we can send a message to users. The Newsletter and Messages also can be viewed with Open Rates, which helps us see our impact. The customer support is incredible, and they have helped every step of the way from implementation to random questions.

Cons: It lacks clean and easy features, such as a better calendar that can be shown in pop-up or used on mobile devices. Newsletter creation, media manager and social community are all pretty cumbersome.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look at the UX of other clean/flat websites and implement features that help the user. The synchronization of database and pages is good, but it can be improved.

Pros: I work for a small non-profit corporation (chamber of commerce) and had no experience in managing a website or customer database when I began with my company four years ago as our Office Manager. Thanks to MemberClicks, I was able to very easily learn the software, and in very little time, with only a couple of calls to Customer Service, was able to take over this task at my job. Although there are many things about MemberClicks I like, I would have to say that the fact it is very user-friendly is my favorite.

Cons: My least favorite is that I don't know more about the product's capabilities. But this is only the fault of myself and my organizational structure. With only three full-time employees, I have little time to really unlock the potential of the website (something I only learned by attending MemberClicks University webinars). I have had it on my to-do list for quite some time to attend more and to make some changes that will most likely make my job much easier and our processes more efficient. But because we set ourselves up only utilizing some small amount of the website's functions, I feel we aren't getting as much as we could from the site.

Recommendations to other buyers: Graphic designers and website experts cost a lot of money. Do you want to hire someone full-time to manage your site or even part-time to maintain it? Or do you want something very easy to use and know that you have a top-of-the-line Customer Service team available anytime you need them? If you are like me, you will use MemberClicks and save yourself time and money by counting on their expertise.
