Pros

The system is fairly easy to learn and use. It fits the needs of our organization very well. It has allowed us to better manage our membership and other contacts. The website is easy to manage and access from the membership side. The customer support is top-notch.

Cons

Some features are still missing or not where they should be, but the team is very open to feedback and is always working on updates. It's also not as fast as a system as I expect it to be (loading times).

Managing 800 members renewals, family memberships and events registrations. That part has been pretty solid although the "regular" event manager in the base package is a pain because there is no way to give a trip leader a way to see who has registered without an admin running the report and sending. Using ePly, their fairly expensive event manager add on, you get a great report creator as a link you can give the trip leader so they know exactly who is registered, cancelled, etc. at any time.

Pros

Solid performer, managers a non-profit group well with multiple levels of membership and with many events, paid and free to handle.

Cons

No WordPress plugin to pass membership information to our website. Limits what we can do on our site and it's just plain wrong headed to not have that. Our workarounds work but are clunky. Seemingly tone deaf to suggestions for enhancements, not sure any have come out in two years... and it's not for lack of suggestions by many.

Reason for choosing MemberClicks

They were in Atlanta where we were and they had what we thought was an optimal balance between cost and functionality.

Pros

The support team is great. I've stumped them a few times, but they do figure everything out! And, I like that they ask for input on their forums so that improvements are constantly being made. It's nice for us, after leaving a horrible set of processes for work-arounds with lots of manual work, to be on a seamless all-in-one solution that is affordable.

Cons

Payment on forms is awkward (having separate selection sets is confusing to some people and we do refunds routinely because of it). There needs to be an easier way to purchase single or multiple tickets to events that is more streamlined for visitors to the site.

Their server is rarely down, they have live tech support chat and tons of online training. The offer desktop and browser options.

Pros

It's easy to use, you can have multiple users (all your staff) and the tech support is exceptional.

Cons

Sometimes it seems to have too many steps to accomplish a task. Example, setting up a new member requires about 30 steps, but I'm not sure other software would be better at this.

Pros

By far, my favorite feature of Atlas is membership levels! We did not use this feature when I first started, but after implementing it, adding new members with their directory listings, affiliation codes, and related profiles is much easier.

Cons

Although there have been several updates to the browser version, I do hope that more of the tabs found in the desktop version will make their way to the browser - especially the notes tab.

Our experience has been very good. The MC team has responded to our questions and requests. The training and updates have been informative. It’s the service a user needs the most.

Pros

The features met what we were looking for in a member platform. There were promises of an expanded menu of options, and that promise has been met.

Cons

We don’t have any complaints to cite in this area.

I have been using MemberClicks in varying capacities for 5 years as our membership database. It has all of the functionality we need - listserv, membership management, forms, reports, and more. If I ever have a problem or need help, I simply contact the help desk and they help me within 24 hours and stay with me until I 100% understand how to do something or the issue is resolved. There are some bugs to work out sometimes but mostly, that has to do with me not setting something up correctly! In any case, my organization has tried to look into similar platforms with the same or more functionality and I plead my case each time to stay with MemberClicks (because I am the one to use it 99% of the time) because of their amazing customer support.

### "Excellent Web Hosting Solution"

The transition to memberclicks was intimidating at first as I am not a website or software expert by any means, but we also desired a solution that put more control into our associations own hands to change things on the fly and to find a solution that hosted email in house as opposed to paying for an external email provider in addition to our web hosting provider. With a little time and use the functions are becoming second nature and we are able to accomplish tasks in a fraction of the time it took with our previous provider. I would recommend memberclicks to any similar association looking for more control that is easy to understand and maintain.

Pros

The administrator's abilities on the back-end are very robust and user friendly and provide little need to contact memberclicks' helpdesk. But when I have needed to, because we needed some functionality set-up that was outside the norm, they were quick to troubleshoot and find a solution that met our unique requirements.

Cons

I do wish images could simple be uploaded into an email or to the landing page without first needing to be added to the media folder. Not a deal breaker, but just an additional step. Fortunately our association emails are not graphic heavy.

I like that everything I need is all in one place.

Cons

I personally don't have any issues with the software. If I did have any problems, customer service was right there to help. It was generally user error.

The software is behind. When we looked at software, it made me nervous they only showed us the final product, not the backend. I was outvoted (I'm not the IT person), and the back end of this software is not that user-friendly. Plus, there are so many limitations. Customer service is great but we constantly hear--we can't do that.

Pros

Customer service is friendly and responds quickly.

Cons

They are about five years behind on many of the features we wanted--website and texting for example. The Advance Email editor we were shown before we signed is only available for a small and limited number of emails.

From our onboarding, launch and the rare occasion when we needed tech support I have always been pleased with the result. Amazing product, amazing service at a fair price.

Graphic design elements are not as exacting I would like and sometimes frustrating to work with.

Customer Service used to be second to none. Today you have to wait 2-3 days for a response or schedule a 15-minute call on someone's calendar. To be blunt, customer service sucks now. If I'm. working on something and need help I need it now, not 2 or 3 days later.

Pros

It works, once you get things set up correctly it works very well

Cons

Written by programmers and the sequencing doesn't make sense to the average user. It is cumbersome at times to navigate the backside when trying to get things set up.

Reason for choosing MemberClicks

Again, it was the overall product that still is excellent in delivery once set up correctly. Also, customer service used to be second to none. Not so today terrible!

Pros

The integration: all member info in one place. Our previous system was very disjointed and MC has certainly alleviated a lot of manual tasks. It is great that members can log into their profile and see all their activities: payments, registrations, donations, messages etc.

Cons

Some areas require extra steps that could be condensed such as you cannot print/email an invoice directly from a member's profile. You need to Invoice tab outside of the member's profile. There is no conference software such as badging, CE certificates, evaluations, session monitoring etc. Customization of invoice lines such as a conference with one day pricing does not break out which sessions they are attending. Readable forms that you can print out.

Overall MemberClicks has been a great software. We know that all software programs have their own quirks and pros and cons so it's not been a huge deal as we've learned to work around what we need.

Pros

At the time we purchased MemberClicks it was one of the cutting edge technologies for Chambers. It's served us well over the past 9 years.

Cons

The website portion got outdated pretty quickly and we can't do any real updates to it without paying a significantly large sum to get the newest software. The management software side doesn't always do what I want it to without a work around either.

Pros

The upgrade has made a big difference in our website - much more modern looking, new features and more. Great feedback from our members.

Cons

Some of the features did not come over with the upgrade and had to be added. A few things are still pre-designed and we'd like to have more flexibility with the templates.

We are able to successfully manage our membership and their approximately 33,000 individuals that are tied to them. It's easy!

Pros

I like the product and it's ease of use. The tabs are self explanatory and comprehensive for new users. We love that we have the option to send email correspondences with our members right in their profile.

Cons

We have lots of different reports that we would like to have but you have to pay for each report to be created and several of our ideas are not possible so we have to find work arounds. Some issues take a long time to be resolved when they are sent off to support.

I have used MemberClicks in managing two small non-profit professional membership associations since 2008. I'm still using it so I must be satisfied. As Executive Director, I wear all the hats including website "Admin" and must do everything. So I have little time to invest in learning all the "ins and outs" details of website management. Memberclicks has evolved over the several years I've use it in response to internal commitment to improve and in response to user suggestions. It offers much more than I require to satisfy my operations and much more than I can learn and retain given all the varied daily tasks I must perform. I am very pleased that all basic functions I need and more are in place and relatively easy to master and use. Additional capabilities are there plus for me to explore if I need them in the future. A big positive is that I know that I can rely on the very competent and friendly customer service representatives any time I need help. If I have a technical problem, I can't remember how to do something, or I need to know how to do something new, I just call for help and I get it immediately. The online help function works just fine but it usually takes too much time for me to search for answers and read the information returned. I don't always have that much time for searching and reading so I rely heavily on and really appreciate the talented, friendly, and responsive guidance that I receive over the phone via. All the customer service agents are friendly, conversant, and talented. That said, I hope that MemberClicks will continue its ongoing work to make its functions more intuitive for the novice and time-rushed user. Such improvement will require less help from both online help and customer service and provide a more satisfying experience for the customer.

The ability to watch how people responded to your email, either how they opened it up and if they read it at all. That really helped gauge our content.

How people could have multiple email addresses and difficulty of consolidating them into one account.

\- I love the integration with Quickbooks - The online and desktop software are great - WebLink Support is a great resource for quick questions - Chat support is there if you need to ask something not answered in the :Knowledge Base" - Customer Support when you have to call for a more in depth question and answer are a delight! Truly care about their user - WebLink bi-weekly webinars help you stay up to date with upgrades and features - Menus within the software are fairly descriptive - Adding new Profiles and Contacts is quite easy - The list keeps growing! Wonderful system for our member association!

Cons

The reporting feature is not always user friendly. I have since saved memorized reports on my dashboard which, has been great, but if there is a one-off that I need to run, it can take a while to configure them to report the data needed.

An updated website.

Pros

Beautiful design, mostly helpful help desk, easy to get a hold of them. Performs basic functions well once you have spent enough time researching how they work.

Cons

We are unable to fully utilize the site for our end users. Many of the features are not intuitive, and even though we were promised a solution by the design team, it has yet to happen. We are finding more and more annoying work arounds instead of intuitive solutions. We are constantly wishing we could have just one help desk representative instead of working with multiple reps, because we are on the phone with them multiple times per week (if not per day). We are still finding/patching holes that were promised to be a part of the website in the implementation phase. This is especially frustrating because we stressed our specific need for them, and those topics were ignored or pushed a few months off only to be "resolved" by a general webcast. Truly, I feel as though we were sold a website, rushed through implementation with training on only billing, even though we asked for specific training on certain items. This site has a lot of potential, but it was not implemented well at all. We are frustrated by it daily.
