No one can achieve perfection, but I'd say this company cares about the needs and desires of its clients overall. I would recommend them to anyone looking to start or improve a cleaning business. Pros This software is the best on the market for residential cleaning services. They are very interactive and listen to their clients. They take customer ideas and implement them to enhance the software's capabilities. I have searched around and found that nothing else offers what they do. The cleaners love the GPS function, and that is what truly put us over the edge when looking for software for my business. They have also consistently added value by adding new features that make managing the day-to-day operations a little easier. Cons Delays in sending invoices. Owner Program Development Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Lack of Customer Support" January 6, 2024 3.0 We were not able to collect payments from the customers, despite the fact our CC company was working just fine. We've set up the process where we send invoices with ZenMaid, but multiple customers were not able to process their payment online, and we ended up chasing invoices. Some of our clients lost trust and were annoyed, and complained about the experience. ZenMaid refused to take the concern seriously and blamed us and our customers for the error. It was integrated via Square, we've talked to Square multiple times and sent invoices separately through Square, which is working fine. We confirmed that the error is with ZenMaid, and their integration, and thy won't do anything about it. Pros Easy to use, friendly UI, unlike Booking Koala, it's well structured and easy to start using. Cons Customer Support is terrible and lacks of some basic functions that should have been implemented. Zenmaid is Much easier to figure out. Nothing worse than training a new admin person up to use an extremely complex software. I'd love to see an AI assistant to give suggestions on scheduling, taking into account client location, cleaners location, the length of the clean, fitting into the cleaners availability etc. Scheduling can be a logistical nightmare, so having AI assistance would be awesome. I see they have a maps view now, so I'll try to learn how to use it, that will probably help. Pros Managing clients, the schedule etc. You cannot scale without a good client management system. If you don't use one you'll always stay small Cons Sometimes there are glitches. But there are glitches in every single software we use occasionally so it's kind of unavoidable. Pros As with any new program, there is a learning curve to be navigated. I reached out to the team as I had questions when I first began with this APP, and the answers were very helpful and timely. They are there to help along the way. Another thing is that these builders know the business and are always looking for ways to improve, as well as considering suggestions from users. The calendar is wonderful and clear to help run my team and clients. Love this APP Cons Nothing that cannot be navigated easily. It has everything I really need to manage my cleaning service smoothly, and it’s easy to use. Overall, it’s been a great experience and definitely worth it. Pros I love that ZenMaid is made just for cleaning businesses. It’s not some general software you have to adjust to your needs — it’s already built to fit how we actually work. Everything’s in one place: clients, schedules, reminders, messages… Cons Some features, like invoicing and tracking hours for employees, aren’t fully compatible with our local accounting rules, so I can’t really use that part of the system. December 20, 2023 5.0 ZenMaid first and foremost has allowed us to reduce our office administrative staff from 5 employees to 3 employees which has resulted in great savings. ZenMaid has removed so many of the repetitive and ‘non-revenue’ generating tasks from our day to day and allowed us to focus and spend more time on generating new leads and really developing our sales abilities. Pros I make a point of attempting to utilize every single feature available to us in ZenMaid. I literally re-watched Courtney’s Boot Camp video over and over again to get a solid understanding of what ZenMaid had to offer and how I could implement every single solitary feature to my advantage to save time and make it easier for my administrative staff, my field staff and my clients. I LOVE the ‘user friendly’ quality of ZenMaid … training administrative office staff is utterly a BREEZE! I LOVE the automated emails - they ROCK and save billions of hours of work. I LOVE the automated text messages - they are also AWESOME! Sadly, due to cost cutting measures we have opted to not use text messages as we are charged extra for those. I LOVE that all texts and emails are CUSTOMIZABLE - this is FABULOUS! I LOVE the cleaner APP - it has made a MASSIVE difference for our field staff giving them so much more freedom and much less responsibility in that they are no longer required to manually track any changes to their 2-week-old-printed schedule! I LOVE the ease of invoicing clients via ZenMaid! I also LOVE that on special occasions such as Christmas and Halloween, ZenMaid updates the look of the software to celebrate the season. I LOVE the reporting that ZenMaid offers and again, I make a point of utilizing as many of the reports as I can to assist me in my day to day tasks and reporting to the company owners. Cons Currently ZenMaid will notify us of a scheduling conflict but only for the first visit of a recurring schedule. It would be great if ZenMaid would notify of any and all future conflicts or at least up to 6 months in the future. Presently I must “eyeball” cleaners' schedules to catch future scheduling conflicts. There are a few other minor and non critical fixes outstanding but I have already brought them to the attention of the ZenMaid team. I also appreciate the Help & Community and Inner Circle that ZenMaid set up, I think these are excellent ways to generate feedback from all users. If I have a question; it is addressed almost immediately in the chat box or by email. Pros It is so easy to use as well as get up and running. Very intuitive with a clean and uncluttered interface and very easy to navigate. It has a good deal of customization which is nice. I feel it has just enough bells and whistles to manage my cleaning business without being overly complicated or having too busy of a user interface. " January 30, 2022 4.0 Overall It’s great for starting out, but the way the people they network with, and they themselves, operate has left a bad taste. It’s like a click funnel circle jerk. Pros It was encouraging in the beginning of going digital for scheduling, etc. Once you get going though there was a lot left to be desired. I’ve been with Jobber since July and love their platform way better. Cons I really don’t appreciate cancelling and then not having access to my financial data. I need documents for tax purposes and I have to sign up again in order to get it. In my opinion that’s bad business and I should have been alerted when I cancelled so I could gather all the information I needed before moving platforms. This is the whole reason I’m putting up this review. Before today it was a simple, they’re just not a good fit, but now I’m peeved. I don't have other comparisons with other companies, but it does the job well. The team is always bringing out new developments and is always trying to get better. Pros How easy it is to learn it, and if you need help there is always someone ready to help. I love it, and my team likes it as well. It saves us time as a company and I love the fact that we can live abroad for periods throughout the year, and still use Zenmaid flawlessly! Thank you!! Also the fact we can use credit cards with one click and the weekly billing cycle is done Cons The phone app has had a few great updates but still needs to work a little more flexibly. I don't have to worry about clients forgetting us or techs not showing up. The GPS clock in is a game changer for peace of mind! Pros This software is so easy to use and customizable. There are so many features that have been built out since I started using this software that I feel like it grew with me. I came from using pen and paper and was consistently being locked out of houses because they didn't remember I was coming, my cleaning techs didn't know where to go or what to do when they got there, we were losing checks all the time. It was all around chaotic. Now the clients always know we are coming with the reminders and On the Way texts, the map is built in for the employees with a very easy app for them to use to get the notes, garage codes and even pets names and I am able to charge the client's credit card for each cleaning through the software. My cleaning techs don't ever have to worry about how our company is being paid! Cons This is really a tough one. Every time I have ever had any thoughts on what could be improved the team makes it happen in a short amount of time! They are so great at being responsive to the needs of the business owners because most of their team are cleaning business owners themselves. Reason for choosing ZenMaid I can't remember which softwares I thought of using.
