No one can achieve perfection, but I'd say this company cares about the needs and desires of its clients overall. I would recommend them to anyone looking to start or improve a cleaning business. Pros This software is the best on the market for residential cleaning services. They are very interactive and listen to their clients. They take customer ideas and implement them to enhance the software's capabilities. I have searched around and found that nothing else offers what they do. The cleaners love the GPS function, and that is what truly put us over the edge when looking for software for my business. They have also consistently added value by adding new features that make managing the day-to-day operations a little easier. Cons Delays in sending invoices. Owner Program Development Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Lack of Customer Support" January 6, 2024 3.0 We were not able to collect payments from the customers, despite the fact our CC company was working just fine. We've set up the process where we send invoices with ZenMaid, but multiple customers were not able to process their payment online, and we ended up chasing invoices. Some of our clients lost trust and were annoyed, and complained about the experience. ZenMaid refused to take the concern seriously and blamed us and our customers for the error. It was integrated via Square, we've talked to Square multiple times and sent invoices separately through Square, which is working fine. We confirmed that the error is with ZenMaid, and their integration, and thy won't do anything about it. Pros Easy to use, friendly UI, unlike Booking Koala, it's well structured and easy to start using. Cons Customer Support is terrible and lacks of some basic functions that should have been implemented. Zenmaid is Much easier to figure out. Nothing worse than training a new admin person up to use an extremely complex software. I'd love to see an AI assistant to give suggestions on scheduling, taking into account client location, cleaners location, the length of the clean, fitting into the cleaners availability etc. Scheduling can be a logistical nightmare, so having AI assistance would be awesome. I see they have a maps view now, so I'll try to learn how to use it, that will probably help. Pros Managing clients, the schedule etc. You cannot scale without a good client management system. If you don't use one you'll always stay small Cons Sometimes there are glitches. But there are glitches in every single software we use occasionally so it's kind of unavoidable. Pros As with any new program, there is a learning curve to be navigated. I reached out to the team as I had questions when I first began with this APP, and the answers were very helpful and timely. They are there to help along the way. Another thing is that these builders know the business and are always looking for ways to improve, as well as considering suggestions from users. The calendar is wonderful and clear to help run my team and clients. Love this APP Cons Nothing that cannot be navigated easily. It has everything I really need to manage my cleaning service smoothly, and it’s easy to use. Overall, it’s been a great experience and definitely worth it. Pros I love that ZenMaid is made just for cleaning businesses. It’s not some general software you have to adjust to your needs — it’s already built to fit how we actually work. Everything’s in one place: clients, schedules, reminders, messages… Cons Some features, like invoicing and tracking hours for employees, aren’t fully compatible with our local accounting rules, so I can’t really use that part of the system. December 20, 2023 5.0 ZenMaid first and foremost has allowed us to reduce our office administrative staff from 5 employees to 3 employees which has resulted in great savings. ZenMaid has removed so many of the repetitive and ‘non-revenue’ generating tasks from our day to day and allowed us to focus and spend more time on generating new leads and really developing our sales abilities. Pros I make a point of attempting to utilize every single feature available to us in ZenMaid. I literally re-watched Courtney’s Boot Camp video over and over again to get a solid understanding of what ZenMaid had to offer and how I could implement every single solitary feature to my advantage to save time and make it easier for my administrative staff, my field staff and my clients. I LOVE the ‘user friendly’ quality of ZenMaid … training administrative office staff is utterly a BREEZE! I LOVE the automated emails - they ROCK and save billions of hours of work. I LOVE the automated text messages - they are also AWESOME! Sadly, due to cost cutting measures we have opted to not use text messages as we are charged extra for those. I LOVE that all texts and emails are CUSTOMIZABLE - this is FABULOUS! I LOVE the cleaner APP - it has made a MASSIVE difference for our field staff giving them so much more freedom and much less responsibility in that they are no longer required to manually track any changes to their 2-week-old-printed schedule! I LOVE the ease of invoicing clients via ZenMaid! I also LOVE that on special occasions such as Christmas and Halloween, ZenMaid updates the look of the software to celebrate the season. I LOVE the reporting that ZenMaid offers and again, I make a point of utilizing as many of the reports as I can to assist me in my day to day tasks and reporting to the company owners. Cons Currently ZenMaid will notify us of a scheduling conflict but only for the first visit of a recurring schedule. It would be great if ZenMaid would notify of any and all future conflicts or at least up to 6 months in the future. Presently I must “eyeball” cleaners' schedules to catch future scheduling conflicts. There are a few other minor and non critical fixes outstanding but I have already brought them to the attention of the ZenMaid team. I also appreciate the Help & Community and Inner Circle that ZenMaid set up, I think these are excellent ways to generate feedback from all users. Because our other software was in house, the upkeep and updating took a lot of time and pulled us away from things we should be focusing on instead. Its the saying "leave it to the pros" is where I am going with this. I think its hard for anyone to switch to something completely new after using something else for years, but the Zenmaid team made it easy. Pros The layout is easy to look at and use. If we have any issues at all, we can easily contact someone in the company for help (and they are always helpful!) It makes us question systems we have put in place before we started the software showing us that there are other ways to do things. (makes us think more efficiently). I love the ideas/feedback section on the software and being able to see other peoples suggestions AND I really love the Facebook group and getting to know other companies all over the world. So coo! Cons Im not sure if its because our last software had a custom online booking we created, so I am comparing, but I wish it was more customizable for how we charge and lets us have more forms for difference services we offer. We have had to add a step back in our process to confirm booking information, where we wish it could be a one in done on the clients end. We had spots we put on our schedule that were specific for online bookings, so anytime a potential client tried to book, they could see what was available and book it themselves. " January 30, 2022 4.0 Overall It’s great for starting out, but the way the people they network with, and they themselves, operate has left a bad taste. It’s like a click funnel circle jerk. Pros It was encouraging in the beginning of going digital for scheduling, etc. Once you get going though there was a lot left to be desired. I’ve been with Jobber since July and love their platform way better. Cons I really don’t appreciate cancelling and then not having access to my financial data. I need documents for tax purposes and I have to sign up again in order to get it. In my opinion that’s bad business and I should have been alerted when I cancelled so I could gather all the information I needed before moving platforms. This is the whole reason I’m putting up this review. Before today it was a simple, they’re just not a good fit, but now I’m peeved. Pros I love how easy it is for employees to find all the info they need for their work. I love that it keeps the clients updated, as well and sending the reminders to both them and us. Been a game changer for me!!!! I also LOVE the simplicity, ease of use, look and feel of the software. I have tried other scheduling system, and although functionality is of course the most needed part of it, I have found Zenmaid the easiest to navigate and enjoyable to look at and deal with. Cons I wish that there was a way for everyone on the team to be able to see if someone already hit the "on the way" button so that it isn't hit more than once. I also would LOVE to see the ability to upload pictures of items that may have been found/damanged from the employees phone, and also I would love love love the ability to upload checklists that the employees would need to check off to be able to clock out to save paperwork being everywhere.
