October 10, 2017 5.0 Pros From start to finish TruDigital has been great. We started out contacting for a demo and chose TruDigital as our digital signage vendor. Ordering the players and setting up our account was a breeze. Players are configured and already assigned to our account before they ship. Customer support is great. Once you log into TruDigital's admin portal you can start a chat and work with support right away. Cons The only thing I could see that I would like to have changed is the ability to see and manage admin/users better. I had to submit a ticket to add additional admins. Pros Content was easy to upload to portal and maintain on a daily basis. Occasionally uploading powerpoint files would take several attempts, but rarely an issue. Cons Cost per media box was not worth it, we found a competitor that offered twice as many media boxes for almost half the cost. It also shows the package was available for pick up on June 1, but it was picked up 10 days later on June 11 (about 2 weeks after purchase). It seems like you weren't receiving the tracking updates from USPS, which we typically have set up for any new purchase. We apologize if those notices didn't reach you and you were left in the dark. We worked together customizing the introductory screens, preloading player content, configuring players and providing tracking information to all key team members. Training and resource material allowed for easy train the trainer scenarios, yet we could always call on tru digital to assist with one on one training. We have added four additional sites since starting with Trudigital and this will continue with our expansion. Pros The implementation process was easy, allowing you to document and provide all pertinent information for easy assimilation of players at various locations and sites. The training support was outstanding with timely responses and assistance with questions, operational support, and resource material. Cons Like to have more Spanish content but think this is on the horizon. We use it to greet our customers that visit our headquarters and also to celebrate employee milestones. The live YouTube feed has been very popular. Pros There are a lot of good options for content in terms of layouts. The scheduling is GREAT and I don't run into weird glitches like I did with our old Novisign program. It's definitely an upgrade from that system. Cons Some of the templates are hard to edit or have limitations to what can be added. For example, the holidays have just a select number of images. Some of the birthday templates are challenging if you have a long name to put in there. I have done some Welcome templates and have had to fiddle with the company logo image for 1/2 an hour to get it to size up correctly. December 15, 2022 4.0 Generally very happy with a product that does exactly what we needed - our campus community can easily submit content and we can get it displaying quickly and easily at a reasonable cost. Pros We've been using this system for 6 years, and are very happy with the product and the support. Just prior to purchasing this system, we had purchased a far more expensive one, and were so disappointed with its limitations that we cancelled it. We were very happy to then find TruDigital instead. It is very simple to use, but has levels of sophistication we have not even tapped into. Initial implementation was quick and easy. Cons We struggle with how quickly it "bogs down" when you are trying to do a lot of updating at one time. It is also critical to remove stale content that will also bog it down. We also utilize lobby TVs for important messages as employees enter into work or to welcome clients or prospects to the facility. Pros There are many pros such as multi-user support, playlist management, content scheduling and more. Interface is easy to navigate and use with limited training. Integration into our facilities was straight foward and easy to implement. Cons No cons come to mind, it does everything that we need it to to. Trudigital helps keep our office space dynamic and interesting. Also, the text-to-support feature on the website is great, and I have always had a good experience in dealing with support staff. Cons I would like to see more custom templates, or even user-created templates. Also, the remotes you receive for setting up a new trudigital box have a very weak signal, and have to be held very close to the player to work. It would also be nice to be able to reassign players and playlists without having to bother your support staff. The overall ease of the product has been an effective marketing strategy to reach out customers. Pros I love to simplicity of this software. The Digital player creates an effective way to reach and audience with powerful content. The preselected slides are an effective way to have content that can customers can engage with as well as the ability to customize content to the player. Cons The only issue I have with the player is the tediousness of the UI. Each player has its own personal library of content. It takes a few steps to access another players library. March 4, 2020 5.0 Having the capability to load sound bites with video were key for us!! It helped us "up our game" in selling our product with a personalized touch. We used our own branding and testimonies from happy clients on the signage. We were able to boost morale by honoring our people using employee of the month slide with a short write up and photo!! Pros The features on this software make it user friendly! The costumer support and training were the best part of my experience. Our signage was up and running within days of purchasing this software. We were able to customize the digital screens in our lobby and reception area with daily updates with three clicks. You can update and change anything remotely, you don't have to be at work!! The preloaded images to chose from along with the advice from our truDigital guy made this a complete Home Run!!! Cons To be honest, if I had a do over, I would make at least 3 fellow employees sit in on the training set-up call. It has served our small office needs completely. Would recommend to anyone. Pros The software is easy to use, and I like that it's cloud-based - I can update screens from home if I needed to. The hardware adapted well with our existing TV screens. Love how flexible the software is in integrating our own content, like presentation slides or spreadsheets. The thing that sold me on this product over others was the support. Prior to purchase, I was given an extensive demo and the opportunity to ask alot of questions. Every question I had was thoroughly answered. I cannot say the same for other products that I checked out. We've been using truDigital for about 2 years, and when we've needed support (which has only been a couple of times), they've been there with quick responses. We initially purchased 2 devices and content subscriptions. We have since added another. Cons I wish there were a few more templates available for integrated content. We use the quotes template, but would love to see a template that shows nature photos from around the world. Or a Calm template that changes on a daily basis. I appreciate the product and its value and would recommend it to other institutions. Pros To its credit, truDigital allows multiple users to upload content to players/screens across the users' campus. The interface is clear and reasonably intuitive and allows our administrator to oversee content without having to personally post each item. It allows for a variety of different media, ranging from templates that will populate the players with breaking news stories and images, to templates that allow users to upload still images and videos. On the whole, I've been pleased with the product. Cons A three things that drive me nuts: (1) I have not found a way to copy a template and its content from one player in our system to another, forcing me to rebuild each template for each player, (2) the player playlists allow you to automate when an item will start/stop playing, but does not automatically remove it from playlist itself, and (3) I wish there was a built in "monitor" where you could view what is playing on a player in realtime. Since I am in a different building from all of our players, the only way I can confirm that things posted correctly is to walk across campus and wait for my content to pop up. Pros I like the fact that I can schedule updates and use different messages on different screens. Cons The software is incredibly slow, clunky and outdated. I can't easily make updates from my mobile phone, and simply publishing an update takes way too long. To update birthdays and anniversaries monthly takes me about 45 minutes. To publish one simple slide takes me about 15 minutes, and that doesn't count the time it takes to make the slide. The system is in need of a MAJOR overhaul. Reason for choosing truDigital The group making the purchase decision was mislead about the system's capabilities, namely, it's capabilities to natively run 4K video, PowerPoint animations, and Keynote presentations. Is there something else out there that would better serve our needs or be a bit easier to use/quicker-yes but currently we do not have the time to search for such software. Pros I like the online portal as it is easily accessible no matter where I am working for the day. Also the fact that we can place an ad on our TVs within seconds (sometimes minutes). Cons The time it takes to upload new slides, navigate between players as we have 7-8 and most in different cities. Basically-anything we have to do via the website (which is nearly everything) is super slow, delayed, and quite frustrating. HRM Packaging and Containers Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Technipaq HR Review" March 12, 2020 3.0 I am just a user (in the HR dept) and was not involved in the purchase of the product nor do I get involved with troubleshooting or anything else. Overall, I don't like using posting to it myself because it is cumbersome to get the slides saved in the system and on the screens so I send my slides to the IT department to complete that task. That is not the most efficient and effective way of handling and I would just do them myself if it weren't such a pain. So, it gets the job done, but not in a very convenient manner. Pros The product does what we need it to do by allowing us to post information on monitors throughout our facility for employee communication purposes. Cons I find it very cumbersome to use.....and not very intuitive or easy to navigate. Pros Uploading or creating content directly on the TruDigial platform is very user friendly. TruDigital makes managing playlists and finding templates easy. Being able to add a logo or edit content on pre-designed templates saves a lot of time and looks great. Monthly newsletters with updates and newly released templates are a great way to keep up-to-date on what new options you may be able to utilize. Cons No real cons in our user experience thus far. I only wish our company had more of a web presence so that we could utilize more of the social media / review options. Business Analyst Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "truDigital rocks " July 20, 2020 5.0 We needed a way to improve our visibility/culture across teams while simultaneously driving visibility and accountability through strategic KPIs to measure the health of business units/teams. I personally reviewed ~20 digital signage solutions and truDigital was the clear and obvious winner. They hit on all of our requirements and their customer service really won us over. Anytime we had a question or needed help they responded within minutes. On one occasion they actually went and built a new feature to support our request. We needed a way to use the PowerBI app to display our dashboards without giving the user the ability to "share" it (default footer in the PowerBI app). They solved the issue in ~2 weeks by figuring out how to hide the footer. In our new reality outside of the office, culture and accountability is more important than ever. We are using our truDigital digital signage to keep everyone up to date with new employees/promotions, announcements, cultural call-outs, real-time KPIs, and much more. I am so glad that we choose truDigital, because as times are changing I have full confidence that they are coming up with new ways to leverage digital signage outside of the traditional method using TV's in the office. Pros Easy to use, user friendly, TONS of built in content apps, supports different channels/playlists, ability to embed in intranet, awesome templates included, ability to create custom templates, PowerBI app, awesome customer service. It's really nice that I can manage multiple locations from one website. The user interface is a little bit clunky but that may be because I haven't taken the time to really get to know it. Pros I like that I can access multiple locations and change their playlist with easy start and stop times. Cons The preview doesn't always show up, when working with templates they often stall and have limits to changes. March 22, 2019 4.0 I have had a great experience thus far, customer service has been great from day 1. I had a software issue with one of my players and they swapped it out with a new one is a couple of days. Pros If you are proficient at using powerpoint, you can make really nice slides. Also, it integrates very nicely with google docs, sheets, and slides. Great variety of templates to use as well. Cons The only thing I would suggest is for the program to display the slides scheduled, only for the time they are scheduled. I had 5 slides of 10 seconds each scheduled in the system but for different days (one slide for each day), so it should have displayed whatever slide was scheduled for that day for 10 seconds per cycle, but did so for 50 seconds.
