General Manager Used the software for: ### "Why are you asking about the software and not the box?" February 18, 2016 3.0 1\. Every time there is a power flicker, the box goes off and does not come back on. I pay around $80 for a battery backup power strip to keep that from happening. 2. It's difficult to tell if the box is on because the little blue light is hard to see. 3. Because the box is never right beside the screen it is driving, I have to keep an extra screen to plug in so I can see what I am doing when I re-boot the box. 4. Customer service is friendly and responsive but if the software were more intuitive, I wouldn't need to call them. 5. Did you do a new software release? Is that why I had to re-boot last week? October 9, 2017 5.0 Enabled us to share more information with visitors at our exhibitions. Staff engagement and communication improvements across our three sites in the UK. Pros The digital signage devices are easy to use as is the design portal. There are some great templates already designed and it's easy to create your own as well. I needed some help when first designing some our bespoke templates and the customer service and support I received was second to none. Considering we're all the way across the Atlantic, I really can't praise truDigital enough for their service standards. Cons Nothing! It's hard to fault the software, device and service. The only area for improvement would be the remote control to navigate the menu when the device is plugged into a screen. It's quite small and can be a bit time consuming to click through the options. Cameron Heath has been a pleasure to work with, through all of our ups and downs of trying to get our network of stores and store owners on board. Though we haven't quite rolled out an official program, we did have the chance to show our franchisees in person, up close the power of the unit and the simplicity in operating it. Cameron was gracious enough to loan us a unit, stand, and TV for our convention in Salt Lake City earlier this month. Not many vendors go that extra mile for a potential client and it's appreciated wholeheartedly. Pros Very easy to update playlists, I like that the software automatically updates after a new slide is added. There are a lot of different templates to use and new ones are always being added. Cons It was a little tricky to figure out how to customize the templates at first, but the video tutorials were helpful in this. Pros I do like having the dashboard where you can see details about all of the playlists. Cons Some of the software is not intuitive. For example: when you preview a slide show it is not clear that there is a difference between fast forward vs. skip to next slide. Communications Specialist Used the software for: ### "Timely technical response and regular updates/improvements to software" February 16, 2016 4.0 I'm impressed with the technical support and with the regular updates to the software. I have had issues with the "make my templates global" not responding to clicking on the button. I also had issues with trying to delete a slide in the playlist. For each of these "glitches," once I realized the workaround, I could easily update my templates. Each time I've contacted technical support, they have responded immediately and have been committed to answering my questions. One of the greatest new features is Slipstream. I am easily able to add/delete content from multiple players in one command. Slipstream is a great time-saver. I just received an email today, "We love our digital signage!" We have a bunch of TV's at location. this system was easy to integrate with just one additional peice of equipment. Cons There really is nothing not to like. I did run into a few set up issues. Pros There Is not a category for dental or orthodontics areas and there should be. This is perfect for lobbies so all of our patients and parents can see all the cool things this signage has to offer. Its user friendly and allows us to share all that we want to share with everyone. The ease of updating from my computer. Cons There aren't as many templates as I thought there would be. And there aren't as many vertical templates as I'd like or actually need. I think they should at least offer more similar verticals to the horizontals. For instance, we have 1 vertical viewer. I need an editable happy birthday template that I can use for those in my office. Not the list template, because we only have a handful of people in our office, but just a vertical single Happy Birthday template that I can edit for each person in our office. We use truDigital to run several standard slides, as well as run different marketing campaigns. We also give our hotels the option of utilizing truDigital for their advertising needs. Cons Some of the templates need to be refreshed a bit. We ended up designing our own in order for the design quality to be higher. It would also be great to have a plugin for Canadian news. We were searching for solution that would help relay important company news and announcements to our employees. Printing out posters and flyers took too much time and were easily ignored. We also wanted something our Administrative Assistant could update from home on her days off. We were very pleased when we saw truDigital's platform. It was a breeze to learn and within minutes of receiving the digital sign player we were up and running. I fully endorse this product to anyone looking for a digital signage solution.
