Cons My only issue with Buddy Punch is that it does not communicate hours with Quickbooks Online very well. I have to manually make edits to overtime because they don't communicate well. We already used Quickbooks online, and I didn't want to change our payroll system to Buddy Punch since this was already established. Our staff use to submit manual paper time cards, so they loved the switch to a simple digital system. Cons Variant hourly pay rates didn't seem to work correctly as the currency subtotals did not add up correctly or display in some cases. Also, it would be nice to be able to see subtotal of hours based on category. Also, regarding pay rate visibility, typically, when a pay rate is not shown, this has to do with the effective date of the pay rate so this would be wise to double-check. Furthermore, we have Job Codes, which are labels for time. You create them, assign them to employees, and then employees can punch in and out of them creating subtotals based on category you mentioned. And my time is kept accurately. I can check my time off and keep up with available PTO hours. Cons I have to have my supervisor to make any changes that have to be made. Vacation hrs. etc.... Pros I like that it can be easily used on the mobile phone and computer. You can locate where an employee has punched in or out. The Ap works great for the most part aside from the odd time it doesn't log me out. Pros I appreciate that I can edit my time and make notes which is helpful if the app doesn't log me out when I click log out. Cons Sometimes it doesn't fully log me out and I have to go in a change my log out time which can be frustrating especially if I don't remember my exact time of leaving work as my schedule is flexible.
