In azienda usiamo Prestashop come cms principale per la creazione degli e-commerce per i clienti, è un buon punto di partenza ed è facilmente scalabile, Lo usiamo soprattutto per le piccole imprese che si affacciano la prima volta alle vendite online, è facile da gestire inizialmente, anche se quando i prodotti cominciano ad essere molti, la gestione anche semplice dei prezzi e delle quantità comincia ad essere difficile per i clienti.

Pros

La modularità è probabilmente ciò che rende PrestaShop una scelta così amata. Puoi espandere facilmente le funzionalità del tuo negozio integrando moduli aggiuntivi. Ad esempio, se inizi con prodotti semplici e poi decidi di offrire varianti personalizzate, con pochi clic puoi aggiungere il modulo giusto. Questo approccio permette una crescita graduale e sostenibile del tuo negozio.

Cons

Cela fait bientôt 12 ans que notre site est sur prestashop. Cela nous a permis de rester autonome sur de nombreux sujets.

Pros

Simplicité d'utilisation et de mise en place sans avoir besoin d'avoir de connaissance dans la création d'un site.

Cons

Les mises à jour sont souvent lourdes à mettre en place lorsqu'on doit changer de version. Cela à souvent un fort impact sur les développements qui ont été fait sur l'ancienne version

PrestaShop, une bonne initiative, un site puissant et entièrement personnalisable. Cela fait plus de 4 ans que j'utilise PrestaShop avec quelques modules complémentaires achetés sur la marketplace PrestaShop Addons. Mais aujourd'hui, c'est devenu une escroquerie bien ficelée. Si vous avez acheté des modules avant l'apparition de la formule Business Care, certains développeurs bloquent l'accès aux mises à jour si vous ne payez pas un abonnement. Du coup, votre module devient obsolète et inutilisable à moins de payer encore et encore. J'ai acheté 7 modules avant l'apparition de cet abonnement voleur (qui peut être très bien pour les novices ou autres, mais qui ne devrait s'appliquer qu'aux nouveaux modules). Sur les 7 modules, après ma migration à PrestaShop 8.1, j'ai eu accès à toutes les mises à jour pour continuer à utiliser mes anciens modules sans avoir à payer un abonnement Business Care. Mais il y a un module pour lequel c'est impossible ; il faut que je paie, et personne ne peut débloquer ce problème sauf si je paie. PrestaShop se transforme de plus en plus en pompe-à -fric.

Pros

PrestaShop est un site puissant et entièrement personnalisable, avec un potentiel immense et une superbe structure de base de données.

Cons

Le service client est déplorable, sans aucun respect pour l'ancienneté. Ils changent leurs politiques de vente et vous demandent de payer des abonnements pour des modules achetés avant leur nouvelle politique de racket.

En general ha sido un muy buena experiencia. Tiene todo lo necesario para montar una tienda online básica y con las herramientas necesarias para vender. Es rápida, tiene buen SEO y una buena experiencia de cara al cliente.

Pros

Prestashop es una plataforma gratuita para montar un comercio electrónico. Para ser gratis, cuenta con las herramientas y configuraciones necesarias para montar una tienda online. Tiene una buena gestión de productos, catálogos, inventario, bodegas, acepta ciento de pasarelas de pago.

Cons

Lo único que no me ha gustado de Prestashop es que no existen módulos gratuitos para agregar funcionalidades, todos son de pago (al menos los buenos). Esto hace que cuando quieres agregar muchas más funcionalidades a la tienda, hay que invertirle algo de dinero y lo módulo por lo general, dependiendo sus funciones, oscilan entre 50 y 200 dólares aproximadamente. Lo mismo pasa con el diseño, si quieres un buen diseño de cara al cliente, lo mejor es comprar un tema.

Llevamos varios años con Prestashop y en general es recomendable, con los puntos a mejorar antes mencionados. El desarrollo de la herramienta es constante y hay actualizaciones con bastante frecuencia.Lo prefiero a otras soluciones a las que hay que pagar una comisión por cada venta.

Pros

Desarrollo constante, sin demasiados errores graves. Un gran ecosistema de módulos para lograr prácticamente cualquier funcionalidad, existen desarrollos para muchas soluciones.

Cons

1 - La gestión de almacen y productos podría mejorar, faltan aspectos como gestión de fechas de expiración, movimiento entre categorías, historico de precios de compra de productos,2 - El SEO que implementa Prestashop es básico o nulo o incluso está mal implementado ( por ejemplo no pone un H1 en la home) y exige mucho esfuerzo para posicionarte, incluso a base de comprar módulos de terceros.3 - El precio de los módulo se ha incrementado y cada vez son más caros. Además hay bastante riesgo de encontrar incompatibilidades entre módulos de distintos desarrolladores, generalmente los resuelven pero es un engorro instalar un módulo para implementar una mejora y que se estropee algo inesperado en otra parte de Prestashop. Parece como si no hubiera un estandar y Prestashop no vigila este apartado.

He probado otros cms de comercio electrónico como Woocommerce, pero PrestaShop a sido un acierto por todas las funcionalidades que tiene y la velocidad de carga. Por ese motivo, estoy expandiendo la implementación de PrestaShop a más proyectos propios y de clientes.

Pros

Me encanta PrestaShop por todas las funcionalidades de comercio que tengo a disposición. Puedo crear catálogos de productos, organizarlos por categorías, gestionar las imágenes, precios y mucho más. Además, cuenta con un gestor de pedidos e inventario con los que puedes hacer un seguimiento de los clientes potenciales y tener actualizado tu ecommerce.

Cons

Si bien es cierto PrestaShop es un cms muy potente, si eres un principiante la gran cantidad de menús puede ser abrumante. Sin embargo, esto deja de ser un inconveniente cuando te adaptas a todas las funcionalidades.

Prestashop permette anche a chi ha poca esperienza di creare e gestire un e-commerce come si deve, grazie all'interfaccia semplicissima ed intuitiva. Inoltre aiuta ad evadere gli ordini in maniera semplice e veloce, grazie agli add-on di Weblabeling.

Pros

Il software è gratuito, user-friendly e permette un'ampia visione dello store dal back-end. Inoltre aiuta l'indicizzazione dei prodotti grazie alla tab seo presente nella modifica dei prodotti e alle immense funzioni offerte da terzi

Cons

Alcuni plug-in non funzionano dopo gli aggiornamenti e c'è bisogno di aspettare l'aggiornamento di questi.

En terminos generales mi experiencia con Prestashop es buena ya que cuenta con todo lo necesario para tener una tienda en linea que sea básica, el SEO es bueno y además es rápida

A pesar de que Prestashop es gratuita, cuenta con las configuraciones y herramientas necesarias par amontar una tienda en línea, además, tiene una buena gestión de catálogos, bodegas, productos y gran cantidad de pasarelas de pago

Cons

Solo tengo un disgusto con Prestashop y es que al no existir buenos módulos o diseños gratuitos que permitan agregar más funcionalidades a la tienda es necesario hacer la inversión en los módulos de pago que oscilas entre los 40 y 190 dólares.

Sia per la versione b2c che b2b è incredibile il rapporto qualità/prezzo, la facilità di utilizzo.Andrebbe migliorata la gestione degli aggiornamenti e il collegamento con prodotti di terze parti.

Facile da installare e da configurare.La versione b2c dispone di migliaia di moduli per tutte le esigenze.La versione b2b sta rapidamente crescendo, anche se molte funzionalità vengono rese disponibili con moduli di terze parte.Penso che il futuro di Prestashop sia legato anche al b2b, visto i vari problemi di stabilità e sicurezza che hanno altri software open source dedicati agli ecommerce.

Cons

L'aggiornamento di prestashop alle nuove versioni non è sempre facile e a volte non tutto va sempre liscio.Il problema maggiore è che con gli aggiornamenti molti temi smettono di funzionare, sarebbe interessante integrare un sistema di check per controllare che il tema sia supportato dalla nuova versione di prestashop che si va ad installare.

Overall I would say Prestashop could definitely work well for a beginner that wanted to build different websites without all the plugins that come with WP Woocommerce, or the basic look of Wix and Weebly. Its a sweet spot and gives beginners and advanced users the ability to create amazing online stores. SEO was not the easiest to do though, and if you go too deep without propper knowledge you really can mess up the whole thing. Id suggest using it only based on your skill level. But from my experience, this is one of my favoirte ecommerce platforms.

Pros

I used this to build my online Survival/Prepper store. I wanted something that had more capabilities then WooCommerce and a different interface. And I was able to completely customize my store with all of the things I wanted to add without the drag and drop thing that other websites had.

Cons

It wasn't exactly user friendly and I liked what I could potentially do with the website. But I had to youtube and google and research how to do some of the more advanced things I wanted to do. There was one point when I changed a piece of code and the whole website went white. It took me 5 days of googling how to restore an older version on a server to get it back up.

PrestaShop is the right tool if you have a plan to expand into e-commerce. The platform is widely use in some countries like France (started here) and Italy, many agencies offer on-line shops based on PrestaShop. It fits all basic needs and if you have some IT experience, than you can build your own shop totally free. If you are serious about e-commerce then sooner or later you will buy modules (plugins for PrestaShop) and later you need to find a php developer to adapt the site to your needs. Most shops find solutions with existing plugins that are sold on PrestaShop's site or many other portals.

Pros

You can install a shop with one click on Softaculous, now very common on shared hosting. The requirements for the hosting are basic, any hosting suitable for WordPress will work fine with PrestaShop, so 5 $/€ a month is more than enough. There is an active community in many languages, normally you get free help here for basic issues and bug reports. A template for the graphic is recommended, the site will look much better with a little investment. Make sure you get support from the developper. There are free modules/plugins for most payment systems and often you can get a free module from your courier. Connecting payments and couriers is quite simple because they are well documented and supported. Buy modules from the official site because you are confident about the quality of the software and support, normally I pay extra to extend support from the developer for the first year. module all needs

Cons

If you can't config your e-mail and are not interested in software, avoid trying your free e-commerce. There is little support from the headquarter, so you spend nights to understand what to do. Any site/developer can sell modules for PrestaShop, so there is no quality control.

From a proprietary platform we moved to PrestaShop almost 10 years ago: no regrets! You easily find plugins to expand your features with little investment. You can also find many developers ready to help, the platform is not well known as WordPress, but any php developer can help. It's the best way to start the e-commerce adventure, make sure you get professional help before starting.

Overall positive. It was after all the first ecommerce platform I used for my small business. It worked great and few problems that I was usually able to solve in an hour.

Pros

It was a great all in solution for my small business. I was able in a few month to set up a store with two languages and a 100 products. which was amazing for my small business. However after a while it felt outdated. I missed some integrations with among others my shipping provider which by the way now does provide integration with prestashop (a bit too late though)

Cons

For some reason , some websites offer integrations with etsy, woocommerse , shopify but not prestashop. That started to get annoying. The layout of the website felt a bit outdated too, although I know I could install another template , i couldn't find a modern template within my budget

It is good when you start your online bussines. A lot of free and paid templates makes easy to choose preferred design. Almost every payment gateway in the world has a dedicated gateway for PS so you may start your online store in few minutes. But when your shop will rise - it is hard to scale. Especially if you want to integrate it with some external apps (like 3d shopping) - you may hit the wall here. Communication between plugins may slow down your store so it wont be rocket-fast anymore.

Pros

\+ easy to install (but not so easy to modify if you dont know how Smarty templates works)+ quick without any enhancements (it is solution just for one purpose - shopping)+ a lot of plugins (free and paid)+ community support is ok (forums, fb groups)+ a lot of payment gateways integrations (paid and free)

Cons

\- just community support - in most cases, if you use many plugins and something goes wrong, every plugin developer says it is not his plugin fault but some other plugin conflict)- TCO for prestashop is not so small as you may thing, especially if you compare prices for Shopify or similar paid platforms where hosting, updates, security and functionalities are included in monthly price- some plugins are written badly so it is hard to find bugs or debug them- closed plugins (via ionCube) mostly without any custom\_functions hook to extend functionality- lack of well developed themes (not only by graphics, but mostly SEO/UX/performance optimizations are missing)

Two problems with the open source ones are (a) Over-large companies funded by venture capital or just ambition, that half-finish a neat project and then sell it half finished and try to cover-up the mistake by selling modules for the most obvious basic things like checkout and shipping. This applies to Drupal Commerce, a lot, to some of the various Wordpress carts, and to Prestashop. (b) Mission creep by which an app that installs onto shared hosting suddenly becomes too large to run on that host. This applies to Drupal projects and probably to Prestashop a bit too. So: the experience is the same as with Drupal Commerce and bits of wordpress stuff. i am a lot happier now I am on a forked version of prestashop. Oh talking of "fork" and "open source", this is a DIY project with some free help maybe on message boards and with free installation from software installers on most hosting, but mainly paid in hours rather than pounds. When i spend money it was on ill-judged attempts to find a one page checkout module that turned-out not to cope with a particular server or to solve the specific problems of the default checkout.

Pros

Separate templates, codes, and html Small and purpose-specific enough to run on some shared hosting (with a cache). Small and purpose-specific enough to teach yourself you to use it (I hoped, although wrongly because of the bugs.) Neat enough to run in its pure form without the need to buy lots of modules in case they help (I hoped, wrongly because of the bugs)

Cons

Dozens of employees funded by selling modules. Next to nobody fixing bugs because it's not in their interest. Look for a solution to an awkwardness with the default one page checkout, for example, and you see threads years-old with unresolved problems, even when the solution is just a line or two of code. For example the code that shows something of the payment methods before a user has selected a country to confirm the payment amount. Or one I discovered by mistake - if you manage to hack your way through the order form, simplifying it and forcing it to use guest checkout - Prestashop refuses to accept a repeat customer with the same email address. It requires each customer to open an account. The renamed forked version, I discovered while doing this, is fixed; it allows customers to remain "guest" and for two to have the same email address. Changes to the software seem to come down from the top of the hierarchy rather than up from the needs of users. For example version 1.7 has less free built-in features than version 1.6 and a different system for running themes - symphony instead of smarty. As though any shopkeeper wants to know this, or pay module developers to know it so that they can offer cheap or free modules.

Reason for choosing PrestaShop

As in the "pros" section above. Then I moved to Thirtybees, a fork of prestashop open source ecommerce software.

### "Easy and flexible platform for your eshop"

For a small e-commerce business is Prestashop a matching solution. You can run it for free or invest as much as is comfortable for you.

Pros

I use Prestashop for more than five years for my small side business eshop. It is opensource, free and easy to install and use. If you don´t have any programming skills, you can choose templates, auto backup, auto-upgrade and you will be fine, with no cost. No limits for how many customers, orders, users, no time limit, etc. Only when your business grows, you probably would want more. For example, better design, better stock management, more import/export features. And then you will need to buy addons, hire a freelancer or you can try to find out how to make those improvements by yourself. So it will be your time or your money. But I like the possibility of choice. They are many years on the market and, therefore, you can find a helpful forum, videos, blog posts, and as I am from Europe, I am very grateful for their translation packs.

Cons

Their customer service is not ideal and, if you are a beginner, you probably will struggle if any technical issue occurs. There are many freelancers and many add-ons, unfortunately, not all are reliable. In those years, I suffered through some security issues but nothing too serious.

### "Lo mejor para ecommerce personalizado "

Muy satisfecho con el software, requiere de un soporte de un equipo de programadores porque la plataforma no es tan sencilla como un Wordpress pero la capacidad de crecimiento y adaptación es un plus en toda regla.

Pros

Capacidad de personalización y escalabilidad. Lo hemos usado para tiendas online que venden 100€ al día y para tiendas online que venden 50.000€ diarios sin problema.

Cons

Es lento en sitios web grandes y se degrada con el tiempo. Necesita limpiezas de base de fados periódicas.
