I am able to get updates, communicate with teachers and see what my daughter is doing at school. Pros I really enjoy that I am able to get updates and pictures throughout the day of my child during school. It is great to be able to see what activities she is doing and to see her interact with her friends. Cons I do not like that the report is not finalized until the end of the day and I am not able to see how long she napped until the report is finalized. The app is easy to use, sending me notifications when the daycare posts something. I like that I can reply to the pictures. The function to write messages to the daycare and receive messages is very convenient. Cons The app and website is very user friendly. The only thing that I would suggest is somehow synching the emails and notifications for the app because it can confusing to receive an email with just a heading and showing no image, and then having to get into the app to see the full post. I more connected with my child’s daycare. I love getting pictures through the app and the daily updates let me know if my child has eaten, napped well or is having a rough day. The teachers can send me notes to bring supplies in or let me know any concerns as well. Pros Easy to use. Love that I can see what my child is doing throughout the day. I can email teachers and the administrators with any questions or concerns about my child or her day. Cons I wish you could add personal notes to the calendar section to remind yourself of things like snack day, picture day and holidays. Owner Primary/Secondary Education Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "My Parents Love HiMama " January 6, 2020 5.0 I only have had a couple of issues with this system, it was a matter of reinstalling the program on one of the tablets and making sure I had enough internet (fast enough) so that videos and pictures would download. So basically it wasn't the HiMama program, it was exsisting internet. I would never think of canceling my subscription. My parents adore the program. I am currently the only daycare in my small town that uses HiMama and that haas been a nice drawing incentive for enrollment. Pros Customer Service can't be beat! I'm not a tech person - very old school- but the helpline and customer service is the tops with this company and they won't stop until you're happy and confident. Sends a report to director every week by email that shows use by each class and catagory. This is most helpful in seeing where utilization needs to improve. Cons I wish that when you enter an activity, that it would automatically pull up the skills/GELDS that are associated with that particular activity. Pros it's a great way to stay updated on my child's day in daycare, I can see photos of her playing or if she already ate or took a nap. Cons Until now everything works good, the only complain is not directly the fault of the software, it depends on the administrator that take the time to upload the information so I can see it. Himama is so easy to use I would recommend it for anyone that teaches kids, it's so fun and interactive it keeps children learning for hours. This was really made with everyone in mind. Pros La fonctionnalité de ce logiciel est très intéressante et facile à utiliser. Cela va me permettre de ne pas perdre plus de temps que ce que je dois déjà perdre à écrire un certain nombre de pages pour mes clients chaque semaine. Cons Le logiciel est très intéressant mais j'ai eu du mal à m'y habituer. Il y a beaucoup de paramètres à modifier pour pouvoir l'utiliser. I love that I can set up notifications when there is an update. I enjoy getting pictures and notes. Milestones is a cute addition. My favorite part is seeing what she has eaten and if my child napped. Very important info! Cons I don't like that when you send an email the only two options are send the message to the director and teacher or the director only. I am so happy that her child care facility uses the app, as I rely on it every day as a means of seeing how her day was, all the fun things she did, and all the nutritional information I need to know regarding meals and sleep. I feel very connected with everything that is going on, and it is very easy to communicate with the direction and teachers through the messaging app. I also love that it alerts you when your child has been dropped off and checked in. Very convenient for shared drop-offs/pick-ups between parents and other family members. Pros The ease of use, along with the numerous amounts of visuals, information regarding my daughter at daycare (sleep times, meal times, diaper change times, etc.) are all recorded and easily accessible at night when I want to review her day. It makes it easy for both her child care teachers, as well as myself. Cons I cannot see certain things until the full report is published at the end of the day (ie. sleep times). Pros The program helps to narrow the focus of the directors daily expectations for the teachers to implement and educating the parents on achievements of our program. The photo sharing is wonderful and the access to constant communication for the parents is a must in the digital day! Cons My wish is that one day all of our food program could be inincorporated into HiMama so our teachers on input meals on one site. It has all the basis features parents want but it lacks some "Wow" factors. Performance is an issue but luckily it has a simple interface. Pros As a parents, I am glad we have this tool to communicate with the daycare staffs as well as getting information, pictures and progress of our child. Glad that they have finally able to download the pictures (this was one of the most asked features) Overall it's very easy to navigate and simple interface. Cons Although we can now download pictures from the Apps, it would be nicer that we can download bulk instead of one at a time. While pictures are downloadable, video download is still an issue and I hope they can add it back very soon. The app is a bit slow for loading or changing pages. Review Source Kaitlin H.
