We switched from Tadpoles and I like this app better. Pros I love getting updates on my son while he's at daycare. It creates such a piece of mind when I'm at work. I also love sharing my child’s photos with his “crew” ie. grandparents Cons My only issue with HiMama is that the App Store on my iPhone does not tell me when there is an update to the HiMama app. I have had the app stop working before I realized that it just needed to be updated, which I had to search for in the apple store Review Source MG Miranda G. Pros I like that the software is easy to use and mostly self explanatory, this application is easy even for the beginner user which is amazing. We can add activities and photos for the children that parents can access for life, and don't have to print them out anymore! Pros The HiMama app is very user friendly, and makes it easy for us to keep track of important information each day for our children and pass it on to parents. It also makes it easy for parents to pay the daycare, and for the staff to log their hours . The staff are responsive to listening to concerns or trying to add features to the app that satisfy the needs of the users. We didn't want to wait to give parents updates at the end of the day or to send pictures via personal cell phones. HiMama has solved all of those problems and has allowed us to be paper free. Pros It allows direct communication with parents at all points of the day. Not only does it allow us to send updates about points of care throughout the day but it allows us to send photos and sweet notes as well. Our parents and staff value this tool highly. Cons It can occasionally glitch or not load properly for a bit. I don't know of any app/software/website that this doesn't happen to though. Reason for choosing Lillio HiMama is a comprehensive system with real time communication options, planning, sign in and out features, as well as academic and social learning tags to help effectively communicate development and milestones to parents. Pros I like the most that HiMama helps you track your kid's daily activities and meals as well as their general development and wellbeing when they are at the childcare centre. I also like receiving my kid's photos and communicating with the teachers during the day whenever we need to. This app is very crucial for us so that he also feels connected to our LO. I think every preschool should use this as it really makes up feel comfortable that we know what our LO is doing all day. And it helps to know that the teachers take the time to pay attention to each child and upload each ones daily information! Best app ever!!! Pros I live that i get hourly updates of what’s going on at school. I get emergency messages, as needed. I don’t have to keep a million pieces of paper, i can always find EVERTHING from the teachers in the app. And the pictures are the BEST!! Cons i really have nothing bad to say about the app! However, while I was using it, it was very useful since it allowed me to know his activities. Pros It is easy to use and has several useful features. You can receive reports in real-time, communicate with your child by video, and receive alerts or notifications. In addition, it is a good way to keep track of the child's activities since you can have reports and store documents, so if teachers use it you will be able to see the child's progress. March 21, 2017 5.0 We tried many other reporting systems for our school to severyone and communicate with our parents but Hi Mama has been hands down our favorite and our parents love it! As a director/owner of my childcare center my personal.favorite feature is that our super odors can review each entry for each student on reports overview and see if there are excited tries missing before the report get sent out to parents. We love using the observations tools to attach skills observed to pics and videos of students to help parents know more about their child's day and what they are learning. We also use the notes section for reminders and to list a few of our Learning skills from the Daily lesson plan to keep parents informed about what lessons were taught. Much more efficient than attempting to read a log book everyday whilst also trying to put your child into his/her snowsuit and pack up their backpack to leave for the day. Pros I like that I can track exactly what my child does at daycare on the daily, what he has for lunch so we can ensure we don’t make the same thing for dinner, and how long he naps for which gives us a heads up as to whether he’s going to be grouchy during the witching hour before bed. Cons I don’t like that I signed up for text notifications and I have never once received one. Also, things are quite delayed. I don’t get email notifications until quite a while after they’re sent. I'm able to contact my child's teachers before, during, and after school hours. Cons Behavior charts are misleading and might not reflect the child accurate behavior. Cons I don’t like that I have to wait until the report is finalized to see information pertaining to food and sleep, would like to see it as other features - as soon as it’s entered. Although I can imagine it has made communicating with the parents a little easier so they don't have a ton of questions at the end of the day during busy pick-up. It is really nice to be able to send a quick message too if I forget to mention something at drop-off or if it is just too busy at the time. Pros I like that I get a little summary at the end of the day that tells me how her day was. It helps me time for bedtime and get a sense of how much she ate during the day. I especially like it when the teachers add photos and videos and the activities that they did. Cons I wish that you could see the time of the naps and meals before the report is finalized. Even if it happened to change later it would help during the day to be able to see if we have time to go out after work or if we should have an earlier bedtime.
