I can see my child and it provides me with comfort and a worry free day, that in itself is excellent. There is enough going on in the world today and a simple app helps me stay connected to my grandson.

Pros

It allows for comments it's efficient and I am able to enjoy my grandson's day from many many miles away. It's awesome.

Cons

It's all good, no suggestions for now. I guess with the email when I want to have a closer look it pops to the app but for some reason I have to sign in again and sometimes I forget the password.

### "Basic but can be improved"

My wife and I monitor our kids daily. HiMama helps providing us with lot of helpful information as following: 1) In the morning after I drop my child at the Daycare, we both receive a notification. This way we know the child has been checked in 2) Throughout the day, we get many notifications of our child's activities and report. They give us an idea of what our child doing at her daycare. 3) Same as #1, once our child is picked up, we get a final daily report notification. This gives us an idea that our child has been picked up We feel like HiMama helps the school engages with us well about our child.

Pros

1) Instant access to daily reports of my child submitted by the DayCare 2) Easy to use with clear menu selection 3) It has not crashed since I started using it (3 months of usage)

Cons

1\. Pretty basic app 2. There were times I received notifications with notes about my child, but when I clicked on the notification, I did not see what the note was about 3. When I clicked on the notification, the app brought me to screen of the report I last viewed. The app didnot automatically update the content for me

### "Great app for anxious parents with kids at daycare"

Pros

I love knowing how my kids' day is going, how much they are eating, if they are napping well, etc. Plus getting pictures and videos is so great.

Cons

Sometimes the app does not open the first time when you click on a notification, it will try to open the app but then closes right away. It works if you reopen the app. That is the most annoying thing, though.

It has been very easy to use and love having the information on hand in real time.

Pros

I love being able to see photos (and videos!) of my kids throughout the day while they are in preschool. It’s also nice to keep track of how their day is going to I can anticipate how Smooth or rough the evening will be.

Cons

I wish I could ask questions to the teachers. It may be available but just not an option at our daycare/preschool.

Pros

I like how I get daily reviews and updates on my child and her interactions with other children . How much she’s slept and ate is also nice to know.

Cons

I don’t like how much storage it takes up in my phone

We use this app to get updates on our child’s day. The caretakers input data, we receive notifications when they do so.

Pros

The app is easy to understand and use, as a parent and someone reading the content (versus entering/managing the inputs.) The app doesn’t crash, and seems fairly reasonable with its notifications.

Cons

The app feels clunky and non-iOS-like. It very much feels like a web app wrapped in an iOS app container, so loading screens are out of place and things seem finicky at times.

Pros

It’s so easy to feel connected to your kids even when you’re not physically with them. HiMama allows you to check what their doing and allow to see their pictures and activities that the teachers post!

Cons

What I dislike is that I am unable to see my kids’ checkin times or what their CURRENTLY doing, until the day is over the report is final. For example, This would make it difficult if your child had allergies and you needed to know what they were eating for lunch.

Pros

Love that I can see what my daughter is doing daily and the updates throughout the day. Helps with my postpartum anxiety.

Cons

That there isn’t a way to connect with other parents from our daughters classroom through the app.

I think this app or similar app should be required of all day cares. The paper method is dated, things get lost easily or a child tears your paper of information. Having everything in an application allows you to track trends and have an electronic copy of everything

Pros

I loved that I was able to know what my child did that day, ate, how long she napped, wet/poop diapers etc. any accidents that happened during that day. Everything a parent needs to know about a child’s day is communicated!

Cons

Unable to see your child’s events throughout the day. Until report is finalized/day is over you cannot view.

When it comes to meeting all the learning domains and in terms of Quality Assurance this app is a hit and is very helpful in decreasing the time in documentation as well as duplicate documentation.

Pros

HiMama is very easy to set up and begin using. The Support Staff are very helpful and always patient, kind and courteous. This app makes documenting quick and easy by clicking onto all the learning domains and adding photos. Our Child Care Families are also enjoying seeing how their children are learning through play.

Cons

Using a tablet in the room with the children is 100% against our Child Care Policy. Children are seeing screens more and more at an early age, with this we have had many discussions on how to problem solve around not documenting with the tablet in front of them. (Other than taking photos) We would like it if we can go back onto the previous day to add documentation, reflag it to be able to share with families.

The HiMama app has helped me know how my child’s day was from check in until pick up. I like that I get a report emailed so I can see the progress and especially how my child is eating and sleeping. This was very helpful when my daughter was sick.

Pros

I like the ease of messaging the director and teachers at the daycare. They can let me know if my child needs supplies, what activity they were doing and pictures of their day. I get a glimpse into how many bottles, diaper changes, snacks and meals my child had. It gives me peace of mind when I am away from my little one

Cons

I find the app sometimes needs a reset when loading the page but that might be an issue with my iPhone

Pros

Honestly have no idea what I would do without this app! My son goes to daycare full time and I love that I receive real time updates about his meals, sleep schedule, activities photographs. The daily reports are also extremely helpful! A friend of mine has a kid that goes to a daycare that doesn’t use this app, and is extremely jealous whenever she sees me receive an update about my little one!

Cons

Literally can’t think of anything! I thoroughly enjoy this app.

I like the app overall. There are a few minor things I think could be improved.

Pros

I like that I can view pictures of my kids at school while they are at daycare.

Cons

I don't like how I can't see my daughter's bottle and nap times until I pick her up at the end of the day and the daily schedule is ready to view. The teachers should put able to input that data and it should show up instantly so that when I check in on the app I can see when she has her bottles and if/when she naps.

The HI MAMA app has not only enabled our families to see what their child is doing each day, it has allowed our educators to have MORE hands on time with the children! The app is so quick and easy to fill out; it is much preferred to written daily reports. It meets our Quality Assurance measures, makes families happier (as they can see their child busy with happy faces) and allows me as Supervisor to see at a glance who is in, what reports are done, and keep track of the families using it and checking in! By far, the easiest and best piece of technology we have invested in!!

Pros

ease of use, families see what their child is doing daily, allows us to enter development goals, menus etc.

Cons

Although there are improvements daily, there is still some things we would appreciate being added

Pros

I always enjoyed the daily report about what my kid is up to and also some pictures from the school.

Cons

Pictures’ quality is low, I’m not sure if this depends on the pictures uploaded or just the app compressing the pictures.
