Pros

As parents, we can know the kid daily activities in the daycare, especially can see the pictures and vedios posted by the teachers.We also can communicate with teachers on time.

Cons

Despite not being able to access the app in the mornings, and sometimes all day (when it does this, the loading logo just appears but nothing from the app ever loads leaving the app useless to us at those times), there are not many issues we have with the app besides wanting a more ease of use, it seems a bit too complicated sometimes.

Pros

I liked the options to enroll children, mark attendance, send daily reports to parents, and the many other features to add for their days.

Cons

I don't like how time-consuming it is to edit sign-in/out times as we don't have time to do that while in ration in a daycare on a daily basis. Sometimes the app doesn't work in the mornings so we have to miss signing in our children. Some of our parents don't have an email, so we cannot register their children into the himama app. I would like to have a history of them in our care and show the parents in person but it's unfair because they cannot be added without an email.

I love that my daycare has this. I brag about to to my other mom friends.

Pros

My sons daycare uses this app. I am so thankful that they do. I love getting updates at the end of every day telling me about food, naps etc. My favourite thing is the photos that the send. .

Cons

My only fault is trying to zoom in on photo montages or move them right to left is sometimes a struggle.

Pros

I enjoy the ease of use with this product, I have children in the daycare center where we use HiMama and I am also a teacher, so I see the product from both sides. The daily pictures and info are extremely helpful when trying to connect home and school.

Cons

I would like if it was possible to individualize the product a bit more. Being able to add or subtract specific options for each classroom or being able to select multiple classrooms to send notices to rather then either one room or the whole building would be very helpful.

I like getting details throughout the day. I have had it at 2 centres and loved it at both!

Cons

I do wish that it had a checkout update, like the check in. That way we could know if our spouse has already picked up our child.

We have every child’s contact info right at our finger tips. So if there was an emergency (fire or any type of evacuation) those important phone numbers would never get left behind. We also can message any parent about any situation and they can message back, it’s so easy. Also if we have a message we want to send center wide, it’s just one message sent to 50 plus families in a blink of an eye!

Pros

I have everything I need right at my finger tips! Always organized with this app. My parents at my center also love this feature at our center!

Cons

Not sure there isn’t anything I don’t like. I’d have to think long and hard.

I love the easy interaction with daycare while I'm at work.

Pros

Ability to stay updated on my child's day. Knowing how long she slept helps me predict how the night will be, number of diaper changes tells me how shes feeling. Supply update requests are simple and help me remember what to replenish.

Cons

Videos are sometimes very slow to load or are spotty. It shows when my child is checked in, I wish it displayed the time. This helps when one parent or the other is dropping off-- added safety measure to ensure my kid was safely dropped off.

Could see my child and all the activities she was involved in daily. It allowed me to keep track of what type of food she was given, and wether they went outside or not during the day. Gave me the peace of mind I needed to go back to work

Pros

Allows me to see my child's activity and keep track of her bowel movements (She had issues with this from birth) and if she is eating well, as well as her mood, so I could expect wether she needed an earlier (or later) bedtime.

Cons

I could not respond or comment "live" often switched to just text the care giver. Sometimes I want to comment right on a picture, and I wasn't able to- or zoom in etc. to see if my child was wearing sox for example. Would have loved to download reports to see how my child was developing week-by week.

Hi Mama has really helped my business grow! All my families have been amazed by it and love that they can see what their child is doing throughout the day while they are at work.

Pros

I love that I can take photos of the children and add them to each child’s profile so parents can see what their child is doing with me, throughout the day.

Cons

Sometimes it will crash on me and I will need to completely restart the app

I like the ease of use and the fact that it stores lots of photos and videos in chronological order. It makes it very easy to show progress and to find a particular piece of information.

Cons

That it is password protected. Otherwise, the product is very good.

No centralized spot for my daycare provider to upload important files for future reference. Will always need to find the original message that included the uploaded documents.

Pros

I love this app! My daycare provider updates it throughout the day and it’s comforting to know what my child is doing and what kind of day he is having. I love being able to send a quick message to the daycare or receive communications directly from them.

Cons

I would love it if supply requests could be added to my iPhone as a reminder so I don’t forget them in the morning

Over all experience is fantastic. Easy for me to use and my parents love it!

Pros

I love this program. It offers many features to make it easy for me to run my day home all in one program. Perfect for parents - a lot of great feedback! And perfect for myself for attendance, reporting and financial administration.

Cons

A little hard to navigate at first, as I wasn’t sure what some features did or where I might tout specific things but after fiddling around for a bit and trying things out it got much easier.

The app has been so nice for both my husband and I to feel involved with our child’s day to day schooling, even while we’re at work.

Pros

It’s a great app to not only give me a view into what my child is doing throughout the school day, but it provides me with the opportunity to talk with him about his friends, teachers, activities, etc.

Cons

Sometimes when you zoom into a photo, it swipes to another photo.

Pros

That I get daily photos of my children, details about their day. Ex how long my son napped, when and what washroom duties, and how much they ate. Getting all of the news updates. I love how this part of my life is separate from my work or personal email as emails could get lost. Thx HiMama

I get two emails when admin msg me not sure why I will ask facilitator.

Pros

I love that I can check on my children throughout the day as well as get pictures, videos and messages through the app. It’s a great tool to put my mind at ease on how they are doing.

Cons

I don’t like that I am updated every time my kids have a toilet entry. A bit overkill with notifications-I think those should be sent at end of day.

We have been using Himama for over a year we could not be happier! Parents love the value and the extra channel of communication that they get with the easy with the ability to send messages directly to the classroom teacher. My teachers are able to send pictures, videos and update parents on how their child is doing. Over all this application was one of the best investments we made at our Daycare, and I can truly say that no other app compares to Himama.

Pros

how easy it is to use it and how fast my teachers can input the child's information thought the day

Cons

there are a couple of options that I wish could be a little easier, which i have noted on the advice box.

Pros

It is a great way to get updates about my child throughout the day. It has a lot of features suck as saving images, adding notes/events. I have the opportunity to review information at a later time if needed and provides an all inclusive app for communication related to my child.

Cons

It takes a while to provide updates (1-2 hours which is not the worse amount of time)

I am a worried mom , just like a lot of other moms . I worry that I don’t spend enough time with my child , that I’m not always as attentive as I can be , I worry that sometimes I work too much . I am grateful for this tool to keep tabs on what my child is doing through the day . I am thankful because even though we were a part all day ; we can get together and talk after school and I know exactly how his day was .

Pros

That pictures can be shared to anxious mommas .

Cons

I felt that the only thing I can complain about is the inconsistency from the administrators at my child school.
