Pros This tool is amazing to manage my whole family life, having kids can be overwhelming sometimes, and this helps a lot to not forget anything and rule as a Mama. Cons It has some bugs, like sometimes my mobile phone blocks when using the app so I have to close it and then go back to the screen I was, which takes me much more time than I needed. Pros I like the daily updates about naps, food consumed and diaper changes. The ability to get messages and photos in the same platform is nice too - it’s all in one place. I love getting a sense of how my twins are doing at daycare, especially if they’ve been in different rooms with different activities. Cons The photos seem to come as a collage and are quite grainy. Pros That I’m about to see pictures of my child, and that the caregivers leave notes if something is wrong with my child. Director Of Operations Used the software for: ### "Hi Mama has added to our program tenfold" June 3, 2014 5.0 We have started using Hi Mama at Kindertown since October 2013. The start up was simple, quick and support was readily available allowing staff to use the program quickly and efficiently within days. Since starting the program the response from parents has been astounding! Not only do parent's discuss their child's day, but they continue the learning at home with discussion and reviewing pictures from the day. Prior to Hi Mama parent's would rely on monthly newsletters, children's verbal accounts and end of day feedback which may not have been available causing some parent's to feel "uninformed". Since implementing Hi Mama parent's have come to realize how much programming and planning is done at the centre, something the staff felt went unnoticed before. Parents now actively participate in programming throughout the week which has created an amazing environment for all of us! As acting Director, Hi Mama has made my job easier as well. Staff are now able to address issues directly with parents, request supplies, send reminders and so much more. Many simple concerns that use to come across my desk are now easily resolved quickly and efficiently! We have had no regrets since starting with Hi Mama, it has improved every aspect of our daily operation at Kindertown. With the continued improvements and updates the program continues to increase the value for staff, parents and ultimately the children!!! Also, both my husband and I have access to the messages so we know exactly what was sent and what the reply was and there is no confusion as to who was supposed to do it. The app keeps us up to date on announcements at the daycare. Also love having daily reports and photos all in one spot. November 7, 2020 5.0 I enjoyed being in touch with my kid's teachers via the app. Pros HiMama was my one of my most favorite apps for more than two years (when my kid was in daycare). I was able to follow what my kid was doing at school (including the activities they were doing, the lunch they were eating, etc.) via my phone and enjoyed seeing the pictures that the teachers were posting almost everyday. Most days I struggle to get a answer out of him what he did that day, just click on the app and I can have my answer. Also when he is absent I just have to click one button on app instead of calling. It gives parents a daily report with important information, such as nap info, meal info, bathroom info, and pictures for activities. We also do a write up of the day, so parents know how their child's day goes. It is a great communication tool, and I recommend this program to all childcare providers. I was so glad my daycare had it-- I would have felt so left out of my child's day without it. Pros Loved being able to see progress of my child's day before the day was complete. Cons Food and naps aren't available until the day is finalized-- which can be hard when you are feeding dinner, and maybe are curious why they aren't or if they are super fussy and you're not sure how long they napped that day.
