It was not a good fit for the size of our Playschool. We have two small classes who meet for a two and a half hour time slot. I felt it took up a lot of my valuable time that was already limited to need to go through a page per child on their time in class. I would rather spend that short time looking at how to enhance their learning and be with them in it instead of thinking about how to document it. I can see this software being much more suitable for centre's who spend all day needing to document and communicate with parents.

Pros

I loved how simple the app is laid out, that it is quick to use and can link to the Alberta Early Learning Framework.

Cons

I would appreciate if you could make a version of HiMama for Playschool. Shorter and simpler. Or create a buildable version of the software so Playschools could insert their own categories. It became too confusing for what I needed.

We use Hi Mama in our 80+ kids child care facility. I love the ease of the home screen, how easy it is to communicate with families, and real time updates. Our families love seeing pictures of what their little one is doing throughout the day. The mobile app for families is not as nice as the web version, but still really nice. Any issue or concern we have ever had, Hi Mama customer service was quick to resolve, help us figure out a solution, and make everything go smoothly. We are so happy we made the transition to paper daily sheet to this awesome software!

Pros

It was very emotionally hard to have to put my daughter into daycare. This app gave me SO much peace of mind. I love that I can follow her throughout her day and receive pictures while I am at work. I also like that I can communicate with her teacher with ease.

I love this app! I really do not have any complaints.

Pros

Being able to see updates throughout the day and the ability to see pictures and save them to my photos. Nice to know when supplies are required and to have important information communicates through the app. Seems to be secure.

Cons

Would be nice to have an IM feature to communicate more easily with the day care staff.

Pros

I like that I can see updates of my son while he is at daycare, including photos, videos, moods, food, diaper, and nap information. It is also convenient for the daycare to leave us notes about things we need to bring in to the daycare (e.g., more diapers, wipes)

I don't like that I can't download the videos to keep.

daily updates on media uploads, communications with the daycare staff which works two ways! love it! Lets parents use it for free!

color scheme and the truth in the daily updates. more default options for every field in childs daily activity!

LOVE IT! I am so happy that everything is in one place. I am able to scan multiple days of reports, and I am able to monitor supplies, etc. I LOVE getting pictures and videos on my son throughout the day.

Pros

I love that I get notifications on my phone when there is any sort of update to his day.

Sometimes the software is slow... not sure if this is my phone though

This app allowed me to see my toddler’s happenings on a daily basis with one click. Although I did not need to contact his teachers, that was an option as well. Photos were labeled and I was able to save them for later viewing. Just love, love, love.

Pros

I enjoy using this app because while my child is at daycare, I get to know what she does during the day and why she eats! It makes me feel more at ease knowing she is having fun.

It can get glitchy sometimes or it checks my daughter in/out multiple times in a day.
